A kiss?!

Auggie grinned possibly the biggest he had in a long time, as the warmth from where her lips had touched his cheek began to spread across his face. That was awfully nice of her. He needed to recipricate soon, that was for sure. "Maybe I should make your plate at dinner more often, shouldn't I?" he inputted as he took a quick bite of potatos.

"Hanakah was nice, thanks for asking. My parents got me some nice clothes and then a really nice watch." he said lifting the sleeve of his school robes to show the bright, silver watch on his left wrist. "How was your Christmas?" he asked, genuinely excited to hear how her holidays were with her family.

As he waited for her to answer he began to fidget with the strap of his school bag where her gift was hidden for now.

Maxwell let out a small laugh hoping it didn't embarrass Taylor. "It's all right, I don't mind questions." Then he took a moment to think. "Hmmm probably Potions, Lafey is one mean witch!" Maxwell said hoping Lafey wouldn't pop up out of no where.

Taryn blushed lightly even as she tried not to. Her eyes glued to her plate as she took a bite and chewed. Hehe. She shifted her eyes to glance at him at that comment. "Perhaps." HEHE GIGGLE.

"Oh!" Taryn reached over to touch the watch, it was shiny and she certainly liked shiny things. "I like it!" She grinned, "I won't bore you with all of the details but my dad bought me a lot of presents." Shrug, she shrugged, not bragging, that was just the way it was. "He's always bought me double presents and said the others were from mom." Because apparently dead people could send presents. Oh well, it had been nice when she was younger.

"Did you like your gift?" Had he worn it at home? Did his parents like it? Was it good? Did he actually hate it?

Yeah he was definately going to give Taryn a kiss soon. She was so--cute? He had never really used that adjective on a girl that wasn't a baby before. The Gryffindor had been dating the Slytherin for a short while now and he was definately starting to feel more strongly about being with her. It was nice.

"Yeah my father picked it out and my mother was able to buy it from the department store she works at when I was here." She had always been lousy at hiding gifts from him and his sister. "Slyvia, my little sister got earrings." he said off-handedly before taking another bite of chicken.

Glad to hear that she had gotten a lot of presents from her father, he was a tad caught off guard by the comment about her mother, which he knew she had passed away from what Taryn had told him a while back. It was a welcome change of subject when she asked him about his present she had given him before the break--a bright red cape!

"Of course I've worn it!" he said with an air of explaining the obvious. "I wore it practically all of break and then most nights in the Common Room. I will wear it to the first lesson I am able too."

Taylor smiled, "Okay." She laughed then looked around to see if Lafey was around before she agreed. "Yeah she is." Tay nodded, "Potions used to be my favorite class but she ruin it for me." Taylor laughed, "She is scary." Her smile brighten some, "I absolutely hate Arithmancy though. It makes no sense to me."

Alex had spotted Logan, Jo and Taylor while she was coming in from the grounds and caught up with them. "Hey" she said walking alongside Loagn to an empty spot at the table.

From across the table Alex noticed Jo sitting quietly, just nodding at times in the conversation that was taking place between Logan and Taylor. Then she eventually spoke saving Alex starting a conversation as she couldnt be bothered to chat. She then spotted Rose come in when she had put her book down to take a drink of pumkin juice from her goblet. "ROSE!" she shouted and ran over to hug one of her best buddies. "I feel like ive not saw you in ages! Its probs 'cause ive been going here and there around the grounds latley and busy with Quidditch." she laughed. "So how is my fellow Thirdie doing then?" Alex beamed.

Her future sister-in-law Nessie raised a brow, she didn't exactly understand what he meant. But then she got it and she giggled non-stop. "Is that so?" She giggled a little bit more but then stopped when she saw him shoving the plate closer to her. She eyed the chocolate cake and then eyed him as he offered her some. "Um..one bite, that's it." She said as she picked up he's fork and carefully got herself a small, small piece of cake. He didn't mind that she was using the same fork as he did right? Well hopefully not. It wasn't worth dirtying a clean fork if it was just for one bite.

What the in the name of Merlin was wrong with he's brain, how could he not remember? "Well there's Prefect Awkward,there's Big brother, Addy umm, Flawless ginger.. I can't think of the rest." She was sure there was more, but most of the other names she could think of weren't really appropriate to say in front of him. Like there at times she thought of him as prefect player, because he was such a flirt around most girls., but he didn't need to know that she did that."You need a better brain." She said a little randomly.

As always, she honestly had a feeling he was more than just wondering. She had a feeling he was watching stalking over her. At times she didn't mind having someone to be protective over her, but at other times it really bugged her. It wasn't like she really needed someone to watch over her, she was fine on her own. "Not stalking?" It slipped out of her mouth, she couldn't help it and she started to feel rather bad, which was why she decided to keep her mouth shut for a while.

"Hey Alex." She smiled. Tay took a sip of pumpkin juice.

"Yeah.. I'm just not sure how the father is going to walk her down the aisle. I guess you'll be having to carry the father and daughter on plates of both your hands." He teased. The thought was rather amusing. A chocolate cake on a plate, and another one on another plate, with Nessie walking both of the plates down the aisle and somehow giving the 'bride' to Adam to hold for the rest of the church. Adam was a bit..disappointed when she took out the smallest of bit of the cake. He grimaced at her. He'd actually never really seen her eat,but how much she had just eaten made him worried. "You can have more. Take the whole cake, I insist. We still have that big one right there." He pointed out to her the cake in the center of the table. It was only his way of saying 'eat more' without her realizing he was only concerned.

"I prefer Flawless Ginger and Prefect Awkward the best. Suits me well." He smiled. Though I am more than enough flawed. He thought to himself. Then when she mentioned he needed a new brain,he leaned back a bit and looked at her with a downright serious,unemotional face. "Do I now? I need a new brain. Thanks." How long would it be before he cracked, only time would tell.

His eyebrows knitted when she flat out assumed he might be stalking her. Not only that she said it hurt, but the way she had said it, as if she knew he were doing this on purpose. "I'm not stalking you. I'm just saying.. you know you're at the age when you want to... Just a few months back you were talking about some.. guy..and how to tell if he..liked you." Yeah, now things were getting awkward. Honestly, he didn't know anything on her personal personal life.



"Oh. Ok.Well, that's good- I guess." Adam responded still giving her a weird look. Young students, they could never properly formulate their thoughts and words. That or he just didn't understand her. "Well, I'm glad I can entertainment to you." He continued to take out another forkful of the cake. "I'm Adam.." Adam introduced himself, with his free hand to have her shake on.

"Oh good!" Taryn almost breathed a sigh of relief. She'd never had to buy a Christmas present for a BOY before, let alone a special boy. A boyfriend boy. It had taken QUITE a few owls back and forth between Beauxbatons and Hogwarts and plenty of Tori ideas and encouragements. But, at least he liked it.

Hopefully the gift thing would get easier too. "I'm glad you like it." Because, well, it would have been quite mortifying if he hadn't!

"Hey how are you?" Alex replied to Taylors greeting. She was to busy reading to take notice of anything else.

"I'm doing good and you?" She smiled and saw that Alex was reading a book. "What book are you reading?" Tay laughed.

Jo looked at the extended hand of the older Grffy, ''Jo, Third year'', sshe said, smiling and shaking hands. ''So how's the cake?'' she asked looking back at his plate, ''I might have some after le pudding.'' She was such a food junky.

She then heard a familiar voice saying Rose's name, and turned around to see none other than the old old Alex! ''Yo Alex!'', she greeted her in a wanna-be-cool tone of voice. ''Did Tay tell you about our jamming session plan? You should come!''

Taylor laughed, "I havent told her yet." She smiled and then to Alex, "But you sooooooo should."

Alex headed back over to the table and sat down in her spot. "Alright." she said in a voice like the on Jo used. She sat laughing for a minute then looked at them both when they mentioned jamming session. "So your having a jamming session? WHERE!" she said a bit loudly causing heads to turn.

Taylor smiled "Up to Jo where and when. It was all her idea." Tay laughed and looked around.

"Of course I like it. Who wouldn't want a cape?" He reassured her again. He then put down his fork and reached under the table and brought up his school bag.

"All this talk of presents reminded me that I haven't given you your's yet." Auggie removed a pink, floral print nap-sack for her books, and gave it to Taryn. "Happy late Christmas!" And as he handed the bag over to her, he saw his chance and along with the gift he leaned over and gave her a kiss on the cheek too.

"Awesome." The third year replied picking up her book and looking at it again. How can she be so quiet then energetics then quiet? Strange person Alex is.

Tay tilted her head slightly, "Are you ok, Alex?" She was a little worried about the older girl.

"Yhe. I always do that jump about then get bored." Alex grinned.

"Yeah, I'm glad she's not my head of house." Maxwell said with a laugh. "So where are you from?" Maxwell asked.

To Max, "Yeah im glad that she isnt my head of house either. I was bored and raised in Scotland." She smiled. "What about you?" To Alex, she said, "Okay, as long as you are fine then." She smiled, "So do you play any instruments?"

"I was born in New York City, But i grew up in England. I live in London now." Maxwell said with a polite smile. "I've never been to Scotland, what's it like?"

"Very green and mountain filled." She smiled, "The music is wonderful, full of bagpipes and the language." Taylor had a dreamy look in her eyes but she snapped out of it as quickly as it came. "Scotland is okay." Tay's smiled disappeared but a frown didnt take the place of it, her lips just was in a straight line.

"What happened? You seemed so happy, you made me want to go to Scotland!" Maxwell said smiling. "Then you seemed all not happy." Maxwell said sticking out his tongue.
