Large quantities of food are spread before you. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the Hogwarts' house elves are the best in the world. The food is superb and the company is as well.
The house poem, penned by All4oliverwood:
Get up off of your seats
Ready for some fun?
You ain't seen nothin' yet
For this years just begun
Friends are rollin' in
It's faces old and new
Nothing comes between us
Dear Gryffindors be true
Outside of the castle
Ready for things to fly
Lions are soaring strong
In a game that's do or die
On this autumn night
Near the crimson fireplace
Solid friendships forming
People so full of grace
Rockin' the competition
In a race for the house cup
Doing everything we can
Earning points to keep us up
Reeling for a win
Us Lions gettin' it done
Loyality guiding us through
Everyone working as one
"Well, she's already been in the hospital wing once this year so that'll probably be the end of it." Maxwell said only slightly humorously and slightly feeling bad.
Taylor frowned in sympathy. She simply replied, "The nurse is scary." Tay thought back on the time Lily was in the hospital wing and she went with her since Lily was unconcious and because Taylor was worried about her.

"I've never met her. I normally try to heal most of my ailments with a few Phoenix tears, I try to constantly carry them with me." With that Maxwell pulled a small vial of tears from his pocket and showed Taylor.

About the nurse, "You are lucky then." She laughed and about the tears, "That is a good idea." Tay smiled and watched as her owl swooped down onto the table, despoited a letter and flew away without awaiting a treat or a petting. Taylor read the letter, grimacing and glaring at it. She crumpled up the letter and set it on fire, watching it slightly as it turned to ashes. Tay made the ashes disappear and then looked up at Maxwell, as if nothing happened. "So do you like to read?"
Kurumi had leaned on Treyen for more support than usual as they made their way out of the library and through the castle towards the Great Hall. Had this been here two terms ago, she probably would have been blushing as they walked arm in arm, but now that was the furthest thing from her mind. Despite his efforts, all thoughts were still on her mother and Kurumi's knees wobbled and nearly buckled underneath her.
Perhaps it was Treyen that had lead them to the Gryffindor table, or perhaps it had been Kurumi to lean them in the general direction. Either way, it didn't really matter HOW they got there. All that matter was that they were there and that there were plenty of empty places to sit down.
Finally sitting, Kurumi blushed slightly...but it was from embarrassment. Even after all this, she still didn't want Treyen thinking that she couldn't handle herself.
And so...she sat in silence.
He didn't mind.
AT ALL.
Nor did he feel like she was weaker for leaning on him. He'd offered his help, after all, and the state she was in was not the best one to be wandering around Hogwarts on your own. Not that it couldn't be done, but Treyen in particular wouldn't let a friend do so.
It must be truly hard to go through something remotely similar to what Kurumi was going through. Again, not fair.
AND...slightly funny. This sight. Didn't she say she wanted a pumpkin juice? He was acting as a house elf today, then? No problem. He poured a cup for her, and none for him. He'll grab...some strawberries or blueberries, or BOTH if he was feeling greedy. "You should drink some." Come to think of it...
...his eyes were on the food in front of him. "Have you been eating?" He didn't think she had. He'll wait for confirmation, though.

Maxwell looked concerned for Tay. "Is everything all right?" Maxwell asked as she burned the letter. "Yeah, i have a few Animagus study books i normally read or have with me. Also there's a few Muggle authors i like to read." He said smiling. "What about you?"

Who?" he asked super excited to hear about this, setting his food aside now that he was finished. This kid had to be uber smart and now all the things she did, or perhaps he was a bank robber like he had discussed with the Claw during their summer break in Diagon Alley.
"That make sense.." And Auggie left it at that. He wasn't super interested in the goings-on at the Ministry until it directly has negative effects on his family, muggleborns, or Hogwarts.
"Cornelius." Taryn spoke, wiggling her eyebrows. "Do you know him? He's a Ravenclaw." Of COURSE he was. Of course. No other boy would be good enough for Aspen, right?
"I think they're dating. Or will be, or something. She wanted to ask her dad if it was okay." Taryn shrugged and went back to eating.
Maxwell looked concerned for Tay. "Is everything all right?" Maxwell asked as she burned the letter. "Yeah, i have a few Animagus study books i normally read or have with me. Also there's a few Muggle authors i like to read." He said smiling. "What about you?"
Tay saw the concerned look and forced a half smile onto her face, "Oh yeah, I'm fine." She forced her smile to brighten some, "Just didnt want a letter from that specific person but oh well." Taylor chuckled some. About the books/reading, she replied, "Animagus study books? Are you wanting to become an animagus or something? Which muggle authors do you like? I read whenever i get the chance except if i'm playing my guitar that is." Tay chuckled.
"Having to pay my sister to walk my wife and her dad down the aisle. That's a hefty price, don't you say?" Family was something you came into. Adam had to pay her for his wedding. He shook his head at her offer. She wanted something out of it, but it was chocolate cake. "Fine. I'll pay you." He told her grudgingly.
Adam frowned even more deeply, creases on the corners of his cheeks. Lately she never wanted eat. "Why do you barely not eat anymore?" He asked in a annoyed, worried tone. It honestly wasn't healthy for her, and if she thought her image wasn't good then she was looking through a stained mirror. "Nessie- you're beautiful and all, you can eat. Don't stop eating. Several of our friends think you're beautiful, I don't know why you still don't believe you're pretty and why"
"Tom.Is what I'm talking about."
Hmmm...maybe he was right, but it was all just a joke none of this would really happen. If it did that would truly be beyond madness. "I'm joking man." she said giggling as she poked Adam playfully in the shoulder. He wasn't serious about the cake thing..or was he? because that would just not be very normal.
For Merlins sake, here we go again. Another lecture about eating. In a very bored looking manner, Nessie lay her head and her hand and pretended to listen to Adam’s whole speech about how she wasn't eating and how she needed to think she was beautiful and so on. “Are you honestly going to do this to me too?” she said in a little bit of a frustrated voice. “I’m not hungry, and I don’t need to eat unless I want to.” She made sure to emphasize the I, to make sure he knew that she wouldn’t eat because someone else wanted her to. As for the beautiful speech, she bit her lip and looked at him with a serious face. “ Adam, its not what they think, its what I think, and I can think what I like okay?’ Yep she made that clear. There was no way he would make her think she was beautiful just because he thought it himself.

EVEN AWKWARDER THAN BEFORE! Staring at Adam for a few moments, it was rather easy o tell that Nessie was in complete and utter shock. Then within a few moments her cheeks grew redder and redder, which was why Nessie used both hands to cover her red cheeks that were now redder than her hair. “Um..um..I stilldontknowwhat yourtalking about.” She mumbled blushing brighter than ever.

Hands shaking ever so slightly, Kurumi accepted the cup of pumpkin juice and pressed the rim of the cup to her lips, but didn't drink any of it just yet. Instead, she sighed softly and tried to let go of all the thoughts she had had while on her way here.
That wasn't going all too well.
And then Treyen had asked her something and she lowered the glass. "Not...really...no," she admitted. She had hardly touched her breakfast and mostly zoned out at lunch. She swirled the contents of her cup and pondered taking a sip of it, but set it back down on the table instead. "I...haven't been baking either."
Not that that should come as a surprise to Treyen or anything.

"Your Mum?" Maxwell asked about the letter and trying not to offend Tay. "Yeah i've been studying to be an Animagus since 1st year, i still have a few more years till i can try it." He said. "Probably Tolkien and Paolini."

Taylor nodded in reply to the question. About the animagus thing she said, "Oh that is cool! What animal do you want? Is it painful, like i heard?" She smiled, "Sorry for the twenty questions....again." Tay chuckled. To the authors she said, "Oh nice choices." She grinned, "Though i prefer the more 'boring' ones like Dante and Homer."

"I'm not sure, something fun but also something everyday so i ca sneak around, which won't be easy if i get something like a Lion." Maxwell said with a laugh. "I've never heard it hurts although i can imagine it would if you do it wrong." He said now hoping he got everything right the first time. "I don't think their stories are boring, though i haven't read too many of either. I think story-telling was a different thing back then and people have lost sight of how important stories can be."

"I dont think they are boring either but most people do for some reason." "I'm hoping for something that'll help me pull pranks. I mean nothing too serious, I'll have to register with the Ministry if i do become one." Maxwell said "So any idea what you want to do once you graduate? I know it's a while from now but some people already have ideas."

"I'm not really sure, first year i really wanted to be an Auror but I'm not sure i'd be cut out for it. I've been thinking lately maybe a Transfiguration teacher." Maxwell smiled "It's the only subject i'm very good at."

Tay realized she couldn't do that so she tried hiding it by taking a sip of her drink. Taylor didn't say a word about that idea and instead said, "Have you thought about where you are going to live?"

Taylor nodded, "That is understandable." She smiled, "I already decided that i want to stay in Scotland.... I hate moving around." She wrinkled up her nose, "And i rather not travel as much as she does." Tay took a sip of her drink. She messed with her robes and shifted in her seat, "So where do you want to travel too?"

Adam laughed along with her and gestured that the random conversation should end, before things got really weird in the talk of cake.
Did she find his concern an annoyance to her? Adam didn't like the look and posture she was putting on. If she really were paying attention the least she could've done was rest her head on the palm of her head, but the way she looked so comfortable as he talked about a serious matter bothered him. He knitted his eyebrows as she listened to her wanting to eat when she wanted to eat. "You can eat whenever you want. I have no problem with that. But to not eat at all. You know how dangerous that can be if you stop eating?" Maybe everyone else was fluffing it up for her. So, he leaned in and whispered very quietly, "You know, I don't know what everyone else is telling you about this but.. I'm not gonna fluff it up for you. If you don't eat at all.. this could..err.. let's just say you may not live.." And no one no one wanted that to happen.
Adam gave her a closed smile while arching one eyebrow at her. Her slurring of the words, her blank face, her rosy cheeks and her covering her face were just enough signs to tell her she knew what he was talking about. He began to search all his pant pockets and shirt pockets but found nothing, "If only I had a mirror on me, you'd see your reaction. That'd tell you everything about however you feel about him."

After a very nice sleep, Logan walked into the Great Hall, and made his way to the Gryffindor table. He sat down and smiled. "Helloooo everyone!" he said to whoever at the table could hear him. He then began piling his plate with food as usual. He was always soo hungry when he woke up every day!
"I could understand not wanting to move, I've already moved so many times already it seems pointless for me." Maxwell said sipping some more pumpkin juice. "I'm not really sure where i want to go, I guess where ever the wind and my feet will carry me."
Hands shaking ever so slightly, Kurumi accepted the cup of pumpkin juice and pressed the rim of the cup to her lips, but didn't drink any of it just yet. Instead, she sighed softly and tried to let go of all the thoughts she had had while on her way here.

Not that that should come as a surprise to Treyen or anything.
Not so slightly. Her hands were shaking more than she thought, because Treyen was able to take notice of that. He rarely paid attention to the little details.
At least she took the cup...but did she drink at all?
Kurumi was the one who'd wanted the pumpkin juice, not him, so, she should drink from the cup. Hey, wait, what? "You haven't?" but she had to eat! The Gryffindor Prefect made the Head Boy frown, quite visibly too, "I'm not leaving your side until you eat something. At least one strawberry." More than a strawberry, actually. But he wasn't leaving, nor they were leaving the Great Hall for that matter.
SHE HASN'T BAKED?!
Awwww, but...didn't she love doing so? Baking cookies? "Why not?" He could ask, "I guess I forgot to thank you for the cupcakes from my birthday, by the way." He smiled, and then brushed a strand of her hair away from her face. And then another strand. Her hair was incredibly soft, come to think of it. "Thank you."

Eat. Sleep. Quidditch. Repeat.
Basically Ellie's schedule until the Hufflepuff match. And she'd just gotten finished with the Quidditch part, so it was time for eating. First, just in case he were there, she scanned the Hufflepuff table. Next her eyes went to the Ravenclaw table. That would be her destination.
Instead, she saw him as her gaze passed the Gryffindor table. Odd, no? How often did the Hufflepuff Prefect eat with the Lions?
Nonetheless, Ellie made to sit by him. It wasn't until she was closer did she notice who he was sitting with.
And what they were doing.
That made her lose her appetite. It felt as if her stomach dropped and she had horrible, HORRIBLE flashbacks. Flashbacks of awful feelings. Of brokenness. And hurt.
Suddenly, she was overcome with an unfamiliar, territorial instinct. In which she found herself instantly standing beside him and attempting to sit between Treyen and Kurumi. "Hey there. Boyfriend." BOY.FRIEND. It was her. Ellie. Your GIRLFRIEND. Remember?
REMEMBER?!??!!!?!

Dark brown eyes scanned the room. "Just take a seat, you'll be fine."Mateya silently reassured herself. She tried her hardest to walk with confidence up to her house table. Everyone seemed lovely. She sat down and immediately tied back her long brown locks. Tey hesitated to snag a roll off the table. "Insecurities," she repeated in her head, "you must break them." She challenged herself and quickly grabbed the bread. Relief took over her body. She then continued to laugh to herself about actually worrying about eating in front of the others. This gave her a new sense of confidence. She did it. Although it was small fear, she conquered it. Now, her eyes seemed to sparkle. Her face slightly lit up. She was friendlier, more approachable, and became anxious, wanting to make new friends and have new experiences. She thought about how this would be her home for the next seven years. Tey couldn't help but day dream about every opportunity that was in her distant future. Nothing could ever compare to this and she couldn't be any happier. "Euphoria." she thought to herself. It was a word her mother used a lot. An ultimate state of happiness, something she was consistently striving for. And now, here, for the first time, she thought she was getting close. The future held so many precious memories to be made...
After finding herself completely zoned out in dream world, Mateya snapped back to reality and tried to listen to what the others were talking about.
