Though this match was more laid back than some of the others, Josephina did find that the Consolation Match was good for learning and brushing up on pointing and shooting. And who knew, perhaps next term, one of these players would help lead their house to victory?

Entering the court area, she noted the bumps and bridges on the court, along with a few rocks scattered about, and removed the two twin bags from her tote. One bag filled with red marbles, the other blue.

Upon seeing a few players from each house, she nodded respectively to both houses, handing them their respective colored stones before placing the large Jack Stone carefully in the middle. "You've read the rules. Horseplay and cheating will not be tolerated. Good luck."

ooc: match will start in literally a couple of hours.

Though Miss Hollingberry had been laying low for the first two rounds of the match, there were no doubts about the look of determination on the fifth year's face as she held her red stone strategically and then released it. It rolled ... and right up to the Jack Stone.

Gryffindor ties the round by taking a point!

The fifth year Lion prefect rolled again... though admittedly it was a good effort.... The red stone rolled to a stop just to the left of the Jack Stone, with a good few centimeters between. Enough of a space for Ravenclaw to steal the point .... which the Head Girl took advantage of... Greenwell pointed her stone at the gap, squinting and measuring how much space there was and then rolled.

....

And the blue stone steadily rolled to a stop ... right in the middle between the Jack Stone and the Red Stone. Ravenclaw steals the point! And the round!

ooc: just a quick note; i asked what the best charm would be =)

And as if the prior interception was now a thing of the past, those fierce and daring Lions weren't going to let it bring them down. Gideon Gert rolls his red stone this time for his house , his red stone rolling right up close to the Jack Stone.

No chance of interception this time. As evidenced by the first spray of gob that directed itself on the Eagle players.

Watching as the players strategically took hold of their respective colored stones, it took a minute or two, but Ellie Stone rolled for the Eagles, her blue stone rolling over a bump and caused it to go askew to the edge of the court .... Alas, the red one rolled by Kurumi rolled right along the familiar path and up to the Jack Stone.

Kurumi took to rolling her red stone again ... quite strategically too... her red stone simply glided along the court... ignoring the barriers too it seemed.... and then found its way to a stop right near the Jack Stone.

And like the sharing Gryffindor fifth years they were, Gideon now took a turn. He rolled his stone which seemed to zig-zag at first before eventually settling in on the path toward the Jack Stone and rolled to a stop just next to it.

Good of those Lions to share ~~we'll just hope they don't share OWL scores though~~, as it's just earned them another point! And another round! Oh and of course another gob spray at the Eagles ....

Gideon rolls his stone first; his red stone speeding fast along the court as it rolls to the familiar stop just outside the Jack Stone. Fina frowned at the Eagle players; had they given up? She was sure she saw a couple looking as if they wanted to roll.... but ... Maybe not.

Nonetheless, Lions seal themselves another point and one point away from winning the match and third place for the term in Gobstones!

And there was one of the Ravenclaws she was looking for. Vashti Greenwell released her stone onto the court with the acute accuracy and precision of someone who'd played before. But alas, somehow, it bumped into the red stone rolled by second year, Ira Wilson. Only the red stone was bumped closer to the center, whereas the blue stone bounced backward and toward the outskirts.

Gryffindor took the point, the round, and the match!

Whistling again, Hadley looked around at the players. Who knew the club could be so ..... exhausting. "Gryffindor wins! Thank you all for a match well played and a fabulous term of Gobstones!
