Nessie smiled a water smile and nodded. "That would be nice." She laughed a tiny bit before continuing. "That would be something wouldn't it? We'd be cousins or something."

She knew that he knew she had NO IDEA what he was on about... and she was okay with that. Really. She was. Heh. She never really got in to much Muggle stuff besides music and he knew that so they were clear on what she GOT and what she didn't.

Giggling slightly as he kissed her nose she then SQUEALED as he dipped her and sang... off key before kissing her. HEHEHE. "YOu are too cute for your own good, Stradivarius. Truly you are," she said with a big grin on her face.

Seee.... where he cared that others were around she never did. Yin and yang or something like that she guessed. They completed one another like that. He was cautious where she threw caution to the wind. Gryffindor and Slytherin qualities in BOTH of them, but definite balance nonetheless.

"Pfft. Do you even have to ask?" With that she was DONE with the dancing. HEHE. Time for FOOD.

Katrina smiled and giggled. They were having fun. What's wrong with that? "You're welcome!" Katrina said to the girl. Katrina didn't actually know this girl but she looked familiar. Maybe she was that girl during the House meeting.

"I'm Katrina!" the blonde said loudly to the other girl so that she could hear though the loud beating of music.

''I know,It's hard to get a dance in somewhere so then what better to do it then at a a party.''He said to her.He was so glad that she turned up.''I'm completely back to myslef now.''

Nessie laughed shaking her head. Wow that sounded odd, she thought to herself. "I'm no princess."

"I'm Sky! Nice to meet you!" Sky replied, she herself talking loud enough to be heard over the music. "Where are you from? I'm from New York myself." This was a international party, after all. Weren't they supposed to learn about where everyone was from while they were having fun?

Katrina smiled at Sky. Nice girl, Sky is. Very down-to-earth and friendly. "Nice to meet you too, Sky!" Ugh. The music was so loud that Katrina's eardrums might pop out of her ears! "I'm from New Jersey if you're asking about my outfit!"

Katrina kept dancing. Hahaha. But this is like a once-in-a-lifetime chance right?

"True, I was hoping Hogwarts would have some kind of dance or party this year" she said. Chelsea was happy that she came in time and that she wasn't here alone. "Good, I'm glad because I missed the boy who I originally fell so hard for" she smiled. She hated seeing Ryan so sad for that long, it always made her a bit sad too knowing there was nothing she could do to help.

It was rather silly of them to decide to meet right in the middle of the dance floor when they could have just met up in a place where it was easier to find one another.

Oh well, whatever floats her boat. or something like that.

"Oh, Heather, do get here fast." Cass muttered as she swayed to the beat of the songs being played while keeping her eyes open for the brown-haired Gryffindor. She was seriously in no mood to dance, but she promised that they would meet there.

'Tell me again why i said to meet at the dance floor?' asked Heather in her head as she tried to make her way amongst the dancing crowd in search of her blonde-haired friend dressed as...what was Cass dressed up again?

Whatever her costume is, it should be far better and far simpler than hers right now. Heather sighed as she paused for a little to look at her costume. It was short and thankfully not a gown but what is it with that room providing her with such a ruffly and puffy costume anyway? It's as if everyone suddenly wanted her to dress up like a little doll with glorious ruffly dresses. This...is...elaborate...and just plain...silly. Nevertheless, it was eye-catching with all its purply-ness.

'this is hopeless. Where is Cass?' her thoughts ran again. She's already at the middle of the dance floor, trying to avoid being stepped on like Jonathan did the last time they met. But this is Cass...in the middle of dancing people...whom in her peripheral vision, were far taller than her still.

Why is she that so small anyway for a growing 14 year old?

What was that? A fluttering blonde...wait...could that be? "Cass?"

The blonde ran her palm down the side of her jeans, trying to familiarize herself with the foreign piece of clothing. She had seldom wore jeans and now was one of those few times. They weren't exactly comfortable...but they were pretty.

Cass then glanced up when she heard someone call out and grinned when she saw Heather in all her Lolita thing glory. Of course, leave it to Heather to add more ruffles to a dress that was already known for its extremely ruffly designs.

"What country are you supposed to be?" She asked the small Gryfffindor as she laughed heartily.

"Heeeeey...stop laughing!" Heather made a cute pout, knowing her best friend was laughing at her gloriously ruffly dress, but then she too broke into a laugh. "I think England. That was my last thought." she answered, tilting her head to her right. She sounded like she wasn't very sure of what she was wearing. "Leave it to my imaginations... or that room had just decided to dress me up like my parents do." why does everybody seem like they wanted Heather to dress up like a vintage porcelain doll anyway?

Her eyes travelled to Cass and her entire ensemble. A wild-west inspired attire more likely to represent the country of the United States. She smiled. Pants. Cass seldom wears pants. When was the last time she saw Cass wearing pants? It was waaaaaaaaaay too long ago. "I'm not guessing, you're representing America with a cowboy-inspired ensemble...it's nice to see you wearing pants Cass. It suits you very much."

''I know and now it's finnaly happened.''Did you want to grab a bite?''He asked.Dancing could work up a feast.

"Yeah, I am a bit hungry" she said. Dancing really worked up and appetite, especially if you haven't ate all day. She took his hand and walked towards the buffet table.

Dallin laughed quietly when Ellie nudged him. Okay, he was just making sure. At her mumbling, he smirked a bit. If she didn't like the length, why was she wearing it? Dallin didn't ask; she probably had some logical reason like it was traditional or something. He'd just let her complain and look at her sympathetically. Yep.

Following Ellie's gaze to the dance floor Dallin watched the couples for a moment before turning his head back to look at Ellie. "Do you remember that promise I made you?" he asked, his tone bright. Of course he remembered - he had promised Ellie that he would save a dance for her. And... now seemed like a great time. No one on the floor was dancing too complicated... and if they waited for a slow song they could just sway. Romantic, yes?

''Okay then.''He said holding her hand and walking towards the table.

After she was done mumbling about her dress, Ellie looked back over at Dallin and smiled again. "You look very American." She grinned. He was her little American boy. Who actually wasn't so little, but whatever. "I like it." She added with a wink.

Ellie had kind of been spacing out and watching people dance, that she almost didn't hear Dallin's question. But she did. And a smile spread across her lips. Ellie looked down and nodded her head. Yes, she remembered his promise and she was glad he had to. He promised to save a dance for her. And sure, that sounds kind of lame and corny, but in her defense, she didn't think she was going to be alive for that to happen, so it really meant a lot. Anyway.

"Yes, I remember." Ellie said, looking back up at him, still smiling. And as long as he didn't make her waltz, she would be a-okay.

Ronnie decided to take a break from dancing, she was quite tired. She looked up and studied the disco ball. It fascinated her.

Gideon smiled back as she smiled up at him, the feeling quite comforting. Now this was a bearable type of dancing even though at the groundskeeper's first (and so far only) dance lesson, the two of them had been just as ackward in the closeness of the dance then they were with the more energetic dances of muggle studies. Guess in comparison, it just wasn't as bad, or they had simply gotten more comfortable around each other.

It certainly felt like they had.

As they danced to whatever music was playing at the moment, it almost felt like they should be doing something else or at least talking, though what he couldn't be sure of. "So...did you enjoy it? The day I mean?" he asked quietly breaking the silence. It had been interesting to say the least to him so he figured to ask her own opinion as an idea of conversation as they danced.

When he spoke Selina nearly let out a sigh of relief. She had no idea what to say in these kind of situations. Personally, she would have been contented to just sway there with him not saying anything, but she did not want to run the risk of boring him. He was important to her... she would never tell him that out loud at least not yet... so she did not want to screw anything up between the two of them. He was, after all, kind of sweet and nice and all that jazz.

"Yeah... I did. Although getting wet in Kurumi's bit was not so much fun and I did not like being smaller than I usually am. Besides that though? U had a lot of fun. Although I have to say, the high light of my day today has been seeing you..." That was stupid Skylar! Say something witty! Cover that up before he thinks lesser of you! "...in those pants. They are something."

Continuing to guide them both in their own little dance, Gideon listened to Selina as she answered his question. His head bobbing once in a nod to show his understanding of what was being told of him. There had been instances in most of the tasks that had proven to be...interesting to some.

"Aye yeah...um thanks," he said feeling slightly subconscious as she finally pointed out reference to his clothes having been expecting it all along. "Figured it was a better idea of Scottish dress then a kilt, especially at school." That would have surely gotten quite a few comments and not only from Selina.

"Ye look very nice yourself."

He nodded as she spoke, to confirm that he was pleased to hear she was doing pretty well. But other than that, he didn't really know what to say. He doubted either of them were actually doing okay, but he couldn't be sure. Her expression was unreadable. She was keeping her thoughts a mystery, not showing how she felt. Yet the look in her eyes showed self conflict. What was she arguing about with herself? Probably whether or not to keep talking to him. He didn't know what she would decide.

A few more moments passed and the feeling of awkward was so thick you could almost reach your hand into the air and tangle your fingers in it. Neither knew what to say, but no matter how much either searched, the words would not come.

Desperate to break the uncomfortable silence, Christopher managed to spit out something, anything. Even though it was probably one of the most stupid things he'd probably ever said. "So.... are we okay?"

Christopher James. You. Are. An. Idiot.

Of course they weren't okay! And he definitely knew it too. He knew that nothing about them was okay, and the very few words that had passed between them made nothing change. They were still far apart, and they still had a very long way to go. "I- I'm sorry. That was really dumb," he muttered, feeling like some idiotic freak. She probably thought he was some insensitive jerk now, but all he was trying to do was make things better.

He was just such an awkward person. He never said anything right. It never came out exactly the way he wanted it to, though he sometimes thought that if it did, he might be able to create something beautiful. But that didn't happen often. He mostly just destroyed things by accident instead.
