Wooow. Taryn hadn't realized just how many students were in this house until most of them were crammed into one room. She stood quietly off to the side, minding her own business and trying to sneak a peek at the Head Girl and Head Boy, who she hadn't met yet.

Bet the Head Girl was SUPER PRETTY, though, it seemed like a Head Girl WOULD be, didn't it?

Ashley sort of wondered if anyone would notice if he just took a small nap. Everyone seemed to be busy talking with friends, and apparently fighting (really!? here??), and maybe that would keep the Heads distracted long enough for him to juuuuust close his eyes a bit.
His eyelids drooped a little, but a second later he snapped out of it, telling himself that this was just not the place or time for that. He had to pay attention. A meeting had been called, so it was obviously important. He could catch up on his sleep at another time. Besides, the meeting was likely to start pretty soon, since so many people had finally managed to make their ways in. Had he accidentally nodded off at some point without even noticing? There seemed to suddenly be more people than he'd realized surrounding him.
Rubbing his eyes, slightly ruddying the violet with irritation, he sat up straight, figuring he couldn't fall asleep if he forced himself to be more alert, so he took a deep breath and focused.

Salander smirked bemused at the trembling hungryboy. Is that what he looked like too when he was rummaging the Kitchens these past terms? "Indeed it is" he started when the boy mentioned something about the relativity of time which to him should be later. But something caught his eye.....


"YOU!!!" he bellowed, point POINTING at all those who started eating. Powers of observation? Self-control? Not with these it seems " Put. those. down." he glared at them, indicating on at the food on their plates in various stages of digestion. "We will be eating shortly....."



.... or not very shortly it seems.

Salander turned his head, getting a whiff of something FOUL! He eyed the ruckus from the Slytherin duo. Really? REALLY? Under the very nose of their Head of House even? Well heck no wonder Slytherin was at the bottom of the points board. Face scrounged up, he started to draw out his wand, intending to siphon out the stench when he decided on something else. Eyeing the Slytherin duo he addressed the entire assembly gathered "The wonderful feast before you is courtesy of the Hogwarts elves, who deserve our gratitude for all the years they've served this school, despite the oversight at the Opening Feast. This new found aroma on the other hand, you can thank those two." he gestured at the stinkbombers. Yes he's leaving the stench in the air for their enjoyment.



He eyed Marie just as she entered and planted herself by the doorway. Haha, security in place, people can come in, but nobody gets out. Not until they say so. Eyeing the various young ones singing and goofing about , the Head Boy nodded at the Potions Mistress recommendation. He glanced at Evelyn for a moment before uttering "So...." he started, raising his voice just enough so that he could be heard even at the far corners of the room get the attention of everyone"... does anyone know WHY we called this Slytherin assembly?"

Harlow was over her initial shaking for that hellish broom ride and was at least paying attention. Her stomach however was still out on the pitch so she was in no mood to eat.

She raised her hand, "Is it because people can't make it to class on time and we lost points? Or maybe its because people can't seem to stop goofing off when they aren't supposed to be goofing off?" she asked. She had plenty of practice with people like dealing with her brothers.

Isabelle sighed as she used her wand to put her food in a corner where she wouldn't be very tempted to eat it. Listening to the question she raised her hand. If that was what she should do. "Is it because we are losing in the house cup from loss of to many points and people are making foolish decisions and not getting to class on time?" Isabelle questioned the head boy. It seemed like it was the best answer.

And it seemed that Ashley was right, and also that he had pretty good timing. Good time to start paying attention, since there were important words going on. What he wasn't happy about was having to pay attention to the terrible smell. He'd hoped someone would have done something about it by now, but it would seem that it was going to be joining them for the meeting. Wonderful.
As for the topic, he thought about it, not that he had much to think about. He'd figured it was exactly what had already been said by a couple of his housemates. All those points... he was still very upset about that. He didn't see a reason to chime in, though, since he'd just be repeating what had been said.

"I see.." said her. Fortunately, when she almost wanted to take the sandwich, Head Boy Salander yelled to another students who already take the food. And the meeting has been started

"I know! It seems like every class I've been in, there is always at least one Slytherin late!" she said with a glum look on her face. "I hope we start soon.. I did wake up early for this." she said rolling her eyes.

Lana had only seen someone throw a smoke bomb, but now she started to smell it. "Ugh, that is SO FOUL!" mimicking Desiree's motion of covering her nose.

Lana, still covering her nose, then turned to Raven whispering, "Oh, nothing. Just Professor Lafay is intimidating don't you think?" She laughed slightly. "Am I that easy to read?" she said with a smile on her face.

"And yeah, someone over there threw something." pointing ahead of them.


"I... am... tired." she said while yawning once more. "It is so early to be up." Who would want a meeting at this time? "Up so early, eh Zhenya?" she said smiling.

Orchid rolled her eyes at the question, it was obvious wasn't it? "Losing all the house points. Duh."

OHMYGAWDDDDDDDD why does it SMELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL in HEREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE?!!!!

Tori started wafting the disgusting smell away from her nose with a horrified expression. OMG. EWW. Who was responsible for THIS now?!

"UM." Tori stuck her arm in the air and waved it around. "We're here because we kind of SUCK at earning house points and ROCK at LOSING THEM. Like Sierra Greingoth did at the feast."

That's right, her worst enemy got a mention. Tori glared across the room at the other girl and threw in a few good-natured glares at those responsible for the dungbombs as well.

Then she crossed her legs in a huff and pinched her nose dramatically.

Sierra wrinkled up her nose and watched as Corey sniffed nearly everything within his reach. Had their Head of House not been present, she'd flick out her wand and cause something to splatter right on his face. Hmm. Nah, he'd probably enjoy the food hitting him head on. "How generous of you," Sierra replied, rolling her eyes.

"Will you stop?!" she snapped, grabbing a piece of rolled up parchment and swatting him right on the arm. She grabbed a hold of the sandwich plate and scooted it to the other side of her, the side Corey wasn't sitting on. "Do you have a medical condition, or something?" she asked, a little annoyed. "I'm sure they make a potion for a bottomless stomach..."

"Oh," Sierra said, taking note right away of how very unSlytherin-like Kimalia's answer had been. It made her wonder if she'd do the same thing if the tables were turned; but right now, with Kimalia being pretty much her only ally, she decided to not even think along those lines any further. She had a feeling she'd only disappoint herself with the answer.

"I guess you're right," she added, though it only made Sierra realize that she probably wouldn't help someone else in their time of need. Maybe. Maybe not, too, though. It just wasn't her personality. "Well, either way, I just wanted to let you know I appreciated it." Sierra had sort of needed someone on her side at that moment, too.

Had someone really thrown stink bombs at the Slytherin house meeting? With Lafay present at that? Yes, they most definitely had. The stench in the air had reached Sierra's nose just as she'd looked up at Salander. "So wait just a minute," she said. "The rest of us have to continue to smell that, too?" She glanced at the two stink bombers out of the corner of her eye. Her vote was to charm the stink over to them and let the rest of the house sit in peace. She didn't mention anything about the reason the meeting may have been held. After all, she was part of the reason they were in the negatives, though she'd go to the grave one day still declaring that it was all Tori Bunbury's fault.

What?!

Sierra perked up and shot a glare across the room. Who let the trash into the room, anyway? She cast a quick glance in Lafay's direction, hoping maybe she'd take this as an opportunity to stick Bunny in detention. No such luck, though. At least not yet... "Let's not forget the others who did, as well, Tori Bunbury," she remarked. "Like you, for example." She didn't dare say anything else. Not with Lafay in the room.

Raven raised her hand and answered the Head boy's question.

"Because we have already missed many points at the first week of school?"

Professor Lafay was intimidating? I think she looked like a cold-blooded murderer

"I agree with you." she answered with wispher. "And I have to say this, but actually your face was too... expressive." Then Raven just noticed that there was a bad smell Yucks!

"Miss Stewart-Quinn, Miss Carter-Hope," She said taking care of the smell of the stink. "Detention. Both of you. Keep it up and I'll be sure to deduct 100 points a piece from you, then you'll see how last term's winning house will hate you both." She said glaring. "Now shut up, sit down and listen to your prefects."

Jonathan looked at the Head Boy as he asked. So the meeting is now in session right? The first question was given and obviously everyone should have already a guess on why they were called for a meeting in the first place.

Jonathan eyed some first years. Yeah, he did remember who they were. The late comers who came into Charms class late and made the professor give them -5 for each. They should sleep early and come to class earlier before the professor begins their own classes. "Probably. Slytherin has been losing points a lot." he said "and it wouldn't be that much if they came class a little earlier" he added.

After the Head Boy has yelled to Nikolas, he rolled his eyes, stopped eating and listened to whatever he had to tell them. Why they could not eat yet? He had been waiting and he was starving. As you may have noticed because he started to eat when he shouldn't had.

He smelled the air and...What in Merlin's beard was that odor? Geez, this firsties really couldn't control themselves. He quickly eyed the two stink bombers and looked back to the Head Boy. He asked if they knew the main reason of this meeting. Easy. "Because we already started losing points, more than the other houses" he replied. Thanks to the students who cannot arrive early to class.

The meeting was starting.. so she guessed that meant they could eat.. apparently not. She thought snatching her hand back from the cupcake she almost grabbed as a group of Slytherins were scolded by the head boy. He announced the stink bomb, so that's what that smell was, well wasn't he going to clear out the smell.. apparently not.But the meeting had begun and now he was asking why they were having it, well she thought he would be telling them that.. Yes her grumpy side had shown up.

She wasn't sure if it was safe to talk, but decided if she was quiet it'd be fine. "I'm Alright, I'm starving though, " she answered truthfully to Zhenya."What about you?" she whispered. Seeing Lana covering her nose as well brought a slight smile to her face despite her bad mood "I know doesn't it smell terrible!" she said quietly "Anyways the meetings starting now.." she said turning her attention back to the front.

Trying to perk up a bit, they would be getting food soon enough. Desiree raised her hand smiling at the head boy, regretting her earlier thoughts, it wasn't good to judge people on first impressions. "Um are we having the meeting because of the fact we have the least amount of points of the four houses?" that was just sad "Oh and maybe to talk about how to earn more points?" the small girl asked politely. she also thought it might have been to meet fellow Slytherin students, but it didn't really seem like they were doing introductions..

The house meeting had finally started and when the head boy asked why they were all called here, she knew why, and so should have everyone else. Probably because we've lost points the first week of class even before having the chance to earn them because people don't know how to act and how to get to class on time Lysandra gave her opinion.

Kennedy's eyes wandered from dish to dish. Gosh, he was hungry! Well, he wasn't at first, but at the sight of all of this he was now. His eyes were still centered on the food when a male's voice rang through the study hall. He briefly looked up and noticed the badge on the guy's robes. Right, he had to listen to what this meeting was all about, but wasn't it obvious. Like right in your face obvious. "Because certain people have misbehaved and lack the ability to do so without being caught." Seriously, if you don't want to get in trouble don't get CAUGHT...or just don't do it at all.

Like the smelly people. They were surrounded by people AND their Head of House --whom Kennedy made a note to stay away from for now-- so they obviously couldn't get away with it.

Ew, that stink bomb smelled discusting! The meeting had begun and Maddy decided speak up to start, "Becaue we are starting the year and were going to talk about what it means to be Slytherin, and meet our fellow Slytherins" Maddy gussed.

Did Corey even notice the stinkbombs? Not really, not with the smell of sandwiches right there in his nose.

He was going to expire right then of starvation.

He focused just enough to hear the question, and offered an answer. "To congratulate ME and that other girl," He waved at that red head one, "Because we are the only ones who EARNED points." ... never mind that he'd technically lost points too, he was in positives wasn't he? Yes he was.

"... so now we eat?" Right? He grinned hopefully up at the older boy.
"Thats me. SO generous." So very. He was sure he'd actually be able to eat everything HERE, even if it made him feel sick, but the nice boy that he was, he didn't at all mind sharing a vegetable stick or two.

Corentin grinned at the arm swatting but his expression was more dismayed at the sandwich taking. He tugged the meat platter closer and settled for mentally saliviating over that instead, shooting little glances at Sierra, or perhaps more correctly, the sandwiches.

"Do they? Hmm. Wonder if it'd work."

Kimalia couldn't believe the events that had unfolded, now Aurora and some random firstie got detention. And the smell had her coughing in desperation up until Professor Lafay took care of it. Phew! Kimalia mouthed a silent thank you to her afterward nevertheless.. They had almost lost 200 points right then and there.

Afterward Kimalia gave Sierra a kind smile and nod, "Mmhmm..." And now she definitely had someone on her side now, outside of Quidditch. It made her happy, less people for her to watch out for.

She then listened to the Head Boy, why are we here? Kimalia managed to not roll her eyes. "Cause we need to lay and learn some ground rules-" she looked at their location"-Hence us meeting at the study tables instead of the comfy couches over there" She pointed in the direction where majority of the lounging took place in the common room.

As she waited for everyone to join in, the Slytherin girl smirked over at Destiny and Marie who showed up. Truth be told, it was quite a relief to see them here. On the other hand, noticing Professor Lafay, Evelyn sat up straight in her chair, smiling somewhat. "Good afternoon, Professor." she said politely before scanning the rest of the tables. No one seemed to be eating yet...at least, not until she had took that split moment to look the other way and became distracted.

Salander seemed to have taken care of it though, however, Evelyn had witnessed the little event with Aurora and the new girl. Did...did the first year just set off a stinkbomb? In the presence of the Head Boy and Girl, AND her Head of House? Just what was going through her mind when she did that?

It seemed she could only become more and more annoyed as this meeting went on. Something had to change. She listened to all those who answered Salander's question.



They all seemed to be on the right track. Losing points, the behavior of the Slytherin house these last few days, ground rules, and ways to get their points (and pride) back. "Yes. This meeting is in fact about our loss of points and behavior. However, we'll be discussing ways of getting these points back as well as a few other topics. You will not be allowed to eat until we all have a full understanding of how to behave in our classes and as Slytherins." They couldn't change the past. Only the future. Standing up, she eyed everyone to make sure they didn't even think about eating as of yet. No, they had to wait.

Looking towards Sierra, Evelyn stood up and raised a brow, not at all amused. "Yes, you do." She herself may have not liked it, quite noticeable by the way she scrunched up her nose every now and then, but it was all in the learning process. "This, right here..." She gestured to the girl that had thrown the stinkbomb, as well as Aurora. "Is just an example of the behavior we are talking about. You all should learn right here and right now that your house, whether you like the people in it or not, is your family here at Hogwarts. One of you messes up, everyone in your house pays the price."

"However, just because we may have 'tumbled down the hill' a little, that does not mean we are so weak where we can't help eachother get back up and start climbing again with even more determination than before. We, as Slytherins, are not weak. Our scratches and bruises are what makes us stronger and united. Call it self-preservation or whatever you will, but we learn from our mistakes. Slytherin's history has shown that we are just as smart as Ravenclaws, just as loyal and hardworking as Hufflepuffs, and just as brave as Gryffindors." Without the stupidity part attached. "Perhaps even more so. Yet in these last few days, I don't even know where we stand. We have shown we are lower than the bottom of the list. Some of us are making poor decisions, and others are just standing idly by watching it all unfold in front of their very eyes or even joining in themselves. And that...that effects everyone's image here in Slytherin."

Taking a deep breath, she leaned against the table with her hands, looking around. "While I'd hate to see our chances at showing we are a great and amazing house go down the drain, we can't move forward until we realize how we can achieve doing so. So, what do you all think? How can we build our points back up and at the same time, show that the house of Salazar Slytherin is worthy of being respected as a house...as well as all of us individually?"

Zhenya listened to every word Head Girl Evelyn said. She was only first year, and had no idea as to where to start with gaining points, but she had a few ideas.

"Well, we could be to every lesson on time. Address Professors with respect, and follow their classroom rules, Not duel in class or throw.. Stink Bombs, to respect other members of other houses. We must show the school that we are Role Models, not Rule Breakers. And we must work together," she said, shakily.

Kimalia knew she had to speak, "Well, we have our classes so far to get the points back.. It'd be good if enough of us attend on time and do the work given." Yep, and that's exactly what Kimalia was planning on doing.

Isabelle raised her hand awed by the head girls speech. She wished she could speak like Evelyn. "First things first we have to get to class on time. If you are worried that you will be late, then leave for class early. It doesn't matter if you are early. Being late is what matters. If you are having an arguement with someone, then talk it out rather than be disrespectful and make unwise decisions that cost us points," Isabelle began.

"As for earning us points back. There is plenty you can do. The major things would be to participate in class and do your homework. Who cares if when you answer a question it isn't exactly perfect. Teachers will still award you points for your effort and participation. When homework is assigned do it. It really isn't as hard as it seems. Otherwise, offer to help teachers, and other helpful or following rules stuff. Believe me you coulld earn points. The house of Salzar Slytherin needs participation from all the students to succed in victory. Don't think that just because you are a first year or not especially smart means you aren't good enough. Everyone needs to play a part for Slytherin victory," Isabelle said feeling stronger with each and every word she spoke.
