Cass shrugged when Katrina chose to keep whatever was eating her up inside her. She wasn't going to force her to talk if she didn't want to talk about it. Besides, she was like that too with topics connected to her dad before, now she just got over it and wished them ill every day.

Then she mellowed down when Katrina asked why she looked a bit off. Then she cleared her throat and said seriously "You know I wouldn't really do that, right?" She didn't want her new honorary sister to think that she was some crazy, attention obsessed freak.

"Yeah she was still in Hogwarts that time." And not to mention a very ignorance witch. "Yup. She's one or two years older than me." she told Cass. "Ugh! Tell me about it." Freya just hoped that Love won't live with them after this, its not like she didn't like a sister but she never had a good experience having Katerine as her sister.

"Oh the Gryffindor boy." she said more to herself. "Sorry you know I never good with remembering people names." Especially the one she rarely meet. "But you're." the blonde witch said in a matter of fact. She sighed in relief when her bestie said that she's not going to drastically change herself. "Toning it down a little?" she asked in puzzlement

Kennedy shook his head. Daichi hadn't landed on him at all. "You okay?" he said, although Daichi was a small kid. He was even easy to lift when he was unconscious and all wet.

He chuckled at Daichi's conclusion about his shoes being haunted. "Maybe you should tie charms on your shoes to scare away the evil spirits," he said, although he wasn't completely sure if that would work. He head a warlock say that in a movie. Or, maybe tying charm like Aurora had commented would work too.

Kennedy's face grew warm when Daichi thanked him for saving him. "Uh, um, don't worry about it," he said, grinning shyly. That day, Kennedy remembers forgetting all his fears and not even thinking of the temperature of the water. All that had been on his mind was to get his friends out of the lake and on to safety.

He turned to Aurora. Yeah, he hasn't told her of what happened that day. "W-Well, um, Daichi was kind of drowning and I helped him out," he said, rubbing the back of his neck. It was no big deal, really.

Elizabeth walks in with a big smile on her face and she doesn't know why she is so happy. But she didn't care why she just knew she was.
This would have scared most people...seeing a really really mean girl with a big smile....they would be running.
Elizabeth walks over to the couch sits down and just relaxes for the first time since see arrived at Hogwarts.

"Gross." Cass simply said with a frown, as she thought of Freya's Hufflepuff sister once more. Totally gross. Ugh. Then her hazel eyes widened when she realized something, she smiled brightly at the girl and snapped her fingers, as if she suddenly had an incredibly brilliant idea. "Well, since she's older, than it's safe to say that your parents loved you more since well, if they didn't want kids, they wouldn't have you!" It was probably because said sister was a puff though.

The blonde then rolled her eyes as she laughed "Yes, the Gryffindor boy." She answered with light giggle "Don't worry, I know you're rubbish at names, don't worry." Then she shrugged "Yeah, toning it down. Like, being more quiet, less snarky, less...crazy." She answered, it was sort of difficult to explain how she was going to tone it down, all she knew was that she was going to.

"I'm fine." Aurora said, rearranging herself on the sofa - she'd been all comfy and stuff and she couldn't find that spot again... that was rather infuriating.

What!? Drowning? And... and he saved him? Aurora was a bit... overwhelmed. Part of her was horrified that Daichi was drowning, part of her was surprised that Kennedy had actually jumped into the lake (for that's where she assumed it had happened) in such cold weather, but every bit of her was smothered in a mixture of pride and adoration. "You saved his life!" Aurora hugged Kennedy tightly. "You should be proud of yourself!" She grinned at him, sitting back down again and holding onto his hand, but all she really wanted to do was hold onto him forever! He was just so... lovelycuteadorable! But there would be time for that at some other point - it would be kind of uncomfortable to have a conversation with Daichi if she were to refuse to let go of Kennedy...

As Cass shrugged, Katrina knew she did have to blab her problem anymore. Wheeew! Safety is... yeah. She got the point.

"I know you wouldn't do that to your own sister, but you seemed seriously about... exploding her or something."

Cass laughed out loud at the sense of alarm on her small face. Seriously? Did she look that cold-hearted or whatever? It was nuts!

"Well, if it helps. I wasn't. Really." Cass said reassuringly, well as reassuring as she could. After all, she didn't know what it was like to have someone forcibly take attention from you. She had always pushed it away...well, more often than not, she did. "Seriously though, if I do get a biological sister - which is like, impossible - then I would act civil and accept that I can't always have my mother's attention."

"I think pygmy puffs are weird, they are too puffy, and besides, even if I liked Pygmy Puffs, Vixy would get jealous" Katie giggled, Vixy was a jealous cat, as she loved attention and didn't like others in her spotlight.

"Nice to meet you too.... can I call you.. Nick? You know, its shorter and easier to say, not that Nikolas is a bad name, its cool, just... long" Katie asked explaining, because she is just cool like that. "I've been good, haven't been doing much exciting, how about you?"

Cass just laughed at her. She giggle also back. At least she was safe. She should be careful soon...

Katrina nodded. She had nothing to say, which is quite awkward. "What d'you mean having a sister is impossible?"

Katrina still looked slightly alarmed, no matter. She tried, and she couldn't change her mind anymore. Let her believe that she was some sort of homicidal maniac. Whatever.

"Huh?" Cass said, surprised at the sudden question "Oh yeah, I mean with my mom." The older blonde explained "See, my parents are separated and since my mom doesn't have a husband, it's quite impossible for her to have another child after me, unless she decides to remarry." As if that would ever happen. And besides, even if her dad and Priscilla decide to have children, she would never recognize them as her siblings.

Katrina smiled at Cass so she wouldn't notice anything. And it was a VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY wide smile. Hihihihihihi.

Oh, so Cass did have like nearly the same problem with one of their parents too. But the firstie kept her secret, though she still kept her guilty face. Oh oh! She didn't know what to do!

Cass eyed the young Slytherin with a frown as the first year in front of her stayed mum, but she shrugged it off as she continued with her little story. But of course, being the perceptive Slytherin that she was noticed the small snippets of emotions running through the 11-year-old's face.

The blonde frowned at her, showing exactly how displeased she was as she crossed her arms over her chest, and crossed he legs as well, one leg over the other. "Alright." Cass snapped "What's going on?"

Then she closed her a moment before continuing "I know you have a right to keep secrets too and I respect that, fully, but if you do, don't react so much then not tell me what isn't about, alright? Because it seriously makes me uncomfortable." Her hazel eyes hardened to a glare before continuing "You wouldn't like it if I reacted a certain way and wouldn't tell you why, would you?"

Then she sighed "I'm not telling you to tell me everything, because I respect your privacy, but stop with the reactions if you have no plans on telling me what it's about."

After had a DADA class, Raven walked to common room. She wanted to take a rest. Suddenly she felt something cold at her pocket, she reached it and... Oh, it was the silver egg. It was very cold as ice. She took her wand and casting the spell


"Argentum Calidus!"

It was not very cold again, then she put her egg and sat at the coach. Relaxing.

Freya nodded her head. Maybe gross was the right word to describe it. She couldn't help to grin after she heard Cass comment. "Yeah well they didn't throw me away didn't they." she joked.

"What can I say I'm really not good with names." Or maybe she was one of that person who has a short term memory. The blonde still didn't like the fact that her bestie want to change herself but it seems that Cass really want this. "If that what you really want. I'm here for you if you need anything." she smiled.

Oh boy. Cass is now made. Holy Merlin. She had to tell her.

"Okay okay!" Katrina said panicking. "Calm down, Cass! I'll tell you"

"We have the same problem, but not completely. My father, Mr. Hudson, IS NOT my father! My mom had an affair with another guy, and that resulted to me. I'm sorry I hid it from everybody. I didn't want anyone to know but then you just got mad at me like someone who had been in Azkaban for 20 years! I'm really sorry."

"So, it probably was because of the Hufflepuff thing." The blonde said wisely with a grin. Honestly, if she had a Hufflepuff sister, then she would be pretty grossed out too. Not that she had anything personally against Hufflepuffs. Except for this one girl though --- no, no. Nothing against the duffers. Hehe.

Then she patted the other blonde on the shoulder and smiled understandingly at her "I know hun, I know. No need for explanations." She shouldn't be all too surprised, when they were in first year, Freya had to be reminded of the name of Fee's boyfriend every hour. It was hilarious...but then right when she finally remembered his name, they broke up. Meh.

"Thank you." Cass said with a smile as she hugged her tightly "That means so much to me." Because, even if her friends won't support her choice, she would push through with it, but it would really make her feel better about her decision if they did stand by her side.

"I'm not mad at you!" The blonde exclaimed frantically as she held her hands up in surrender. Possibly a sign of peace.

Then she listened silently as Katrina told her story, about her parents, her, her life. Sort of. Well, an important chunk of it. Huh, well, that was sort of the opposite of her...not problem...rather situation.

She gingerly laid a comforting hand on the girl's shoulder, not sure if she should or would she be rejected for needling the information out of her. She was trying to be an older sister somehow, but she thinks that all she is becoming is some sort of a menace...

"Hey, you're no accident. Alright?" Cass intoned with a small smile as she bent her head down to look at the girl who had now bowed her head "I'm sorry if you feel like I forced it out of you, I was just fed up by being out of the loop with something that was obviously a huge part of you." She can't help her. be a sister to her, if she couldn't understand her, right?

"I honestly don't see what's the problem." She said with a shrug. "I mean, unless your dad knows, then it's not a problem." Then she said sincerely "Parents aren't dictated whether they're in your genes or not. Parents are people who raised you and influenced who you are now. So as long as your dad loves you and cares for you like a dad would love a daughter, then you have every right to call him as your dad."


Ah. A few nuggets of wisdom from Cassandra Prewett. Brava.

Cass finally understood her. She really liked it when someone understood her. It was really comforting.

"I'm an accident." Katrina raised her head a bit higher. She huffed and let out her breath a bit. "And my 'dad' doesn't know. My real dad doesn't even know I exist, his daughter."

Katrina crossed her arms in a mad way. "Hmmm... probably I've already got more than two half-siblings now. But I don't mind my real dad, he's a rather jerk."

And Katrina regretted calling her own father a jerk. You are so smart, Katrina.

Cass looked at the young girl sternly when she insisted that she was an accident, and well, she couldn't bear it. "Katrina, someone as nice and as awesome as you couldn't possibly be an accident." The older blonde said firmly "There are no such thing as accidents. Everything happens, everything that we do has a purpose, whether we know it or not." For Merlin's sake, her mother worked as a Hall of Prophecy specialist, she would know about fate and all that.

She really should be in Ravenclaw. Hihi. She was so wise.

"I suspect that he doesn't." The older blonde said in agreement. After all, Kat wouldn't be going through this kind of insecurity if her dad knew and loved her all the same. "But seriously Katrina, who raised you? Your 'dad' right? That's what matters."

Then she huffed as well and copied Katrina's stance, her eyes showing less anger compared to the younger girl "Yeah, real dads seem to have this tendency to become jerks." She replied with a small frown on her face, thinking of her own.

Desiree came down from the dorms, with Indigo wrapped up in a blanket in her arms. She might have been being a little overprotective after the.. incident the other day, but better safe than sorry. She took a seat in front of the fire, there was no way Indy could be cold now.

She had brought a book down as well and was "reading" it. Not able to get into it at all, it was a book about potion ingredients, she decided to check on her egg. Pulling back the blanket she saw that Indy was a little wet.. weird, that had never happened before. Desiree felt her...She was really warm too. She was a little concerned, but she could fix it.

Taking out her wand she pointed it at Indigo, "Argentum" twirl.."Siccus" point. There now you're nice and dry she thought barely stopping herself from saying it out loud, there were a lot of people in here, and talking to your egg wasn't really normal.

Right, Indigo was still hot. She set the blanket aside, and pointed her wand again, "Argentum" swish.. "Frigidus" tap. The metal had cooled, and the lines on Indigo started to shimmer, almost glow, just like they had in class. A small smile crept onto Desiree's face. "Are you finally happy Indigo?" she asked quietly, yep she was talking to her egg, but there was obviously something alive in it. Almost as if to answer her question the egg twitched...

Katrina had that miserable life. Being an accident, she knew her mom didn't mean to have her but her dad was a jerk! A really really stupid jerk.

"I'm an accident, that's all I could say," Katrina said to her rather older sister. "I pity my mom for that. She did everything."

"Because he never knew about me," The firstie looked more mad. She was ****** about her dad so much. "But if he knew me, I'd kill him. I can't believe he wouldn't care for me.

Yes, my dad raised me. But I really want to know my own father."

Oh right! Her dad was a jerk and she could say it all day! "They always are jerks. He's a heartless git. You should've seen how he left my mom there when she gave birth to me. You should've seen how my mom had to lie to all the family members about me. You should've seen that git of a father I have, leaving me with the woman he made pregnant right there... like nothing happened!"

MY FATHER IS STUPID! Katrina thought. I'll NEVER forgive him. EVER.

"You are not an accident!" Cass insisted as she crossed her arms and looked at the Slytherin intently. Seriously, was she really a Slytherin? This girl was as stubborn as a Gryffindor! Then she glared "With all due respect to your mother Katrina, but she was the one that was in an affair, it isn't your fault that you came into the world because of that!" It was very irritating to see a girl - a perfectly wonderful girl - go crazy about something that she couldn't control and wasn't her fault. But, no matter how sorry she felt for her honorary little sister, she still stood by her belief that affairs were simply a waste of time. If you don't like what you have now, leave. No need to cheat.

"Now, I know I'm not the best person to go to when talking about Father-Daughter relations, but its perfectly acceptable to want to know who your dad is. But if you do, then you shouldn't judge him. There are two sides in every story Katrina." Cass said with a sigh. "You don't know what the conditions were, why he left your mother. You have absolutely no right to call him a git even if he left you and your mother."

Ok. Cass was so... deep. Katrina couldn't stand arguing with her almost-sister. She had to leave. And she will leave.

"I'm sorry, I can't handle this," Katrina said, standing up and leaving for the First Year dormitories with her wand, metal egg, and journal.

Zhenya went into the common room and saw Desiree with her egg, so she sat down in a free seat next to her. "Hey," she said closing her eyes and sighing loudly. "How is your egg going?" she asked. Her egg, unfortunately, never made it back to the common room.

She pulled out a diary her grandmother had given her years ago. Everytime she pulled out a piece of paper, one more would just... appear. It was a forever lasting journal.

She pulled out her quill and an ink pot, writing;

She put the journal away safely, to put more entries in once it was time.

Cass rolled her eyes as the girl ran back up to the dorms. Whatever. She was going to have to face this problem sooner or later and no one would ever dare tell her that she didn't attempt to help.

"Right. Of course." The older blonde said as she huffed, crossed her legs and leaned back against the chair.
