He never thought she would sit at his table willingly? Had she never sat here with him before? She was sure she had. In fact she knew she had. "Why wouldn't I sit here? I've got you with me." Only the most handsome guy in the school. Grinning at him she whispered, "Stick around, there may be more surprises later."

After drinking down the glass of juice he gave her she poured another one then loaded her plate with food. Bacon... lots of it, eggs, and biscuits with gravy... oooh, hashbrowns too.

What?

She was hungry. That workout this morning took a lot out of her. She really needed to do something about getting in better shape.

*Wow he thought, Matty hadn't seen Marie it that much in awhile. Not wanting to make a big deal of it or for her to feel weird Matty just acted like it was normal. Eating up his breakfast he soon sat back full and very sleepy.*
"I think a nap is in order after that meal."

Marie started digging into her food. First the bacon and eggs.

Bacon... YUM!

Finishing off her bacon and eggs she drank down some more juice then started on the biscuits and gravy. After eating about half that and the hash browns she finished off her juice. There was no way she could eat another bite. She couldn't believe she had eaten that much to begin with. Pushing her plate away she looked over at Matty. "I can't eat another bite."

Seems someone's eyes were bigger than their stomach.

They were making this too easy. She had expected there to be Slytherins at the Slytherin table, since it did have Slytherin in the name. But now there was a Slytherin at the Hufflepuff table. Most of the participants in NHASD were Hufflepuffs. Well, it was pretty close. There were people from every house, even Slytherin.

Isobel ran over to the table after hugging a Slytherin girl on her way out of the Great Hall. She gave the girl sitting at the Hufflepuff table a quick hug. "Sorry, I'm trying to win a competition. Pretend that never happened and carry on with your life. Bye now." She turned around and ran out of the Great Hall. "Eighteen," she said happily.

What the...?!

WHY was someone touching her? Not only were they touching her, they were HUGGING her... AND telling her to pretend it never happened! As if that was going to happen.

The ONLY person from this table that was allowed to touch her in any way was Matty... and Mia of course. And this... girl that just hugged her was definitely NOT her boyfriend or her best friend. Marie didn't even know who she was.

Some lunatic... that's who she was. A lunatic that was about to fall flat on her face.

Releasing her wand into her hand Marie pointed it at the girl as she ran off casting a non-verbal trip jinx. Ha, take that girly.

That should teach her NOT to go around hugging people she doesn't know.

She then turned back to Matty. "I think I've had enough of this place. Let's go someplace no one can find us." Someplace she didn't have to worry about these random people hugging her.

Isobel didn't quite make it out of the Great Hall. She had hoped that she would escape injuries, but apparently that was not going to happen. When she was near the door she stumbled to the ground for no apparent reason. Bewildered, Isobel looked around and saw the Slytherin girl from the Hufflepuff table that she had hugged looking at her with her wand out. That didn't make it obvious. Isobel waved to her and smiled when she stood up from the ground. Her side was sore because she had fallen on it, but she was not going to let that get her down that day. She was off, off to hug more Slytherins. He he he.

Alyssa noticed Isobel hugging Slytherin students everywhere she went. First Alyssa thought that it was because she knew them. But when she saw some of the expressions on the students faces, she realized that something weird was going on. So she followed Isobel and tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey there Isobel. I noticed that you were hugging all the Slytherins you came across. Is that something I'm supposed to be doing too?" Alyssa definitely did not want to be the only Hufflepuff who wasn't following the rules.

Isobel heard someone say her name and she spun around and struck a ninja pose. Was it another Slytherin? She breathed a sigh of relief and relaxed when she saw that it was just Alyssa. "Hey Alyssa," she said cheerfully. She almost started to laugh at the girl's question, but she did not. "No, you don't have to. But, you can if you want to. It's for National Hug A Slytherin Day. It's a tradition that my friend Maybelle and I invented last year. Want to join? The rules are pretty self-explanatory." Basically all it said in the rules was; hug Slytherins.

*Rolling his eyes at Marie Matty smirked. First that the girl hugged her and second that she got jinxed. Poor girl but that was his girlfriend. Hex first and ask questions... never. Nodding Matty stood up then held a hand out to her.*
"Yeah, after that amazing meal I might need to have another work out. Don't want you to get a fat boyfriend."

Minerva sat down to get something to eat. She placed her bag on the table next to her. She was eating some pancakes when her bag started moving. Minerva thought maybe someones pet got in her bag when through the top of her bag Sparkles came rolling out. Minerva had never saw the egg move before. She watched in shock and then in a little panic what was going on she thought. "ah ah Sparkles?" Minerva said to the eggs. Yes she was going crazy talking to the egg. She watched as Sparkles rolled into the pancakes getting syrup all over it. "Oh no" Minerva said as she reached for her wand. "Argentum Humidus" Minerva said as she twirled and pointed her wand. The egg became wet and Minerva took a napkin and wiped all syrup off the egg."Sparkles what are you doing?" Minerva asked. This really made her think what was in this egg. She then pointed her wand and said "excolo" after polishing the egg she placed it safely back in her bag.

Did he just roll his eyes at her? Was he trying to get himself thumped here or what? Not that she would really thump him. "That girl... she's not a friend of yours... is she?" Not that it really mattered. She still would have hexed the girl for putting her hands on her without permission.

Standing up she took his hand as she looked him up and down. "I don't think we have to ever worry about you getting fat." Seriously, he was nothing but muscle, where did he think he was going to get fat? Unlike her who had just eaten a weeks worth of food in one sitting. She probably just gained five pounds here. "Yeah, maybe we better exercise again."

Walking towards the door she gave his hand a little squeeze. "How about we go outside and get some exercise?" Maybe the pond would still be frozen over and they could go ice skating. Not that she had any ice skates. Eh, they could just slide around the ice in their shoes and try not to fall on their bums.

"Seen her in a the common room but not really talked to her. But that's what I meant about you almost never sitting at my table. People tend to try and be nice to you and you go and hex their hair off."
*Leaning down he gave her a quick kiss as they started walking out to the grounds.*
"It's okay though, I find it a little funny and yeah outside sounds great. Get your coat and I'll meet you at the lake? Our spot?"
*Matty raised an eyebrow and smirked at her. He was just playing but it was fun making her laugh.*

Marie looked at Matty and wrinkled her nose a bit. "That girl was not trying to be nice to me. She was just trying to win that stupid Hug A Slytherin contest. And she still has her hair." That was an idea though. The next person that messed with her would end up bald.

Smiling as she kissed him back she gave him a little hug. "I was thinking maybe we could start at the waterfall... then end at the lake." She wanted to walk on the ice at least once before it all melted away.

The plate in front of Jory was filled with scrambled eggs and sausages. He have only taken a few bites before he had taken out the metal egg from his pocket. The egg was little but it weighed much more. Jory had thought his pocket would rip as he was on his way to the Hufflepuff table.

Examining his still un-named egg, Jory detected specks of dust on it. "Is my trunk dusty?'' he wondered, making a mental note to take a good look at the thing.

Jory pulled his wand out of his bag, pointed it at the specks were and said "Ex-CO-lo!" while moving the wand to the places so the egg would be properly cleaned.

When the cleaning was done, Jory noticed his egg had shaken it self three times. He stared thinking he was seeing things. He placed the egg gently in front of him and kept an eye on it as he finished his breakfast but the egg had not moved. Thinking he had imagined it, Jory put the egg back into his pocket and headed for class.

*Matty nodded. Even though he didn't mind the cold he would rather sit by a warm fire somewhere. But they could do that after.*
"Try to not hex my house mates... for some reason they think I can control you."
*Matty said with a smirk. Wrapping an arm around her they walked out.*

Alyssa sat down at the Hufflepuff House Table and started filling up her plate with food. She was definitely hungry. While eating she decided to check on Queenie, the metallic egg that the Charms Professor had assigned for them to take care of as part of their Finals. It had been acting very strangely the last few times she had checked on it, so Alyssa made sure that she was prepared for anything.

Slowly taking out the woolen sock from her bag, she reached her hand in and grabbed hold of the egg firmly but not too tightly. Taking it out slowly she held in the palm of her hand. She was expecting it to ‘bounce’ up or roll out of her hand, or even hit her on the nose like it had done before, but it remained perfectly still. Alyssa carefully moved her hand closer to inspect it. There didn’t seem to be anything wrong that she could see except for the fact that it did need a little polishing.

Alyssa took out her wand, and moved her wand while tracing it all over the egg, she said “Ex-CO-lo”. A yellow light engulfed the egg and when it disappeared, its surface looked all shiny and bright again.

“I guess you decided to behave yourself today, Queenie. Thank you”, Alyssa whispered to the egg nestled in the palm of her hand. 'Here’s hoping that it continues to behave this way,' Alyssa thought to herself. She looked at her watch and realized that she was going to be late for class if she didn’t finish her breakfast. So she quickly placed the egg back inside the woolen sock and tucked it safely in her bag, before finishing her breakfast and rushing off to class.

Kelley walked over to the Hufflepuff table and found a seat, and sat down. She took some food and began eating it, looking around for any familiar faces, or someone who she could become friends with. Funny enough, she didn't know a whole lot of Hufflepuffs.

Jory sat at the Hufflepuff table, his plate piled with scrambled eggs and toast. More than hungry, he was sleepy. He'd been up late the previous night doing Herbology and Astronomy homework.

Something felt funny about Jory's robe but he couldn't quite place it- it felt as if a great weight had been removed from it. Trying to figure ut what it was, he started to eat. The young Huffie was quarter way through his meal when it hit him. He felt his pocket quickly and gave a little exclamation of shock. "Oh no! Not again,'' he thought "Where did Egghead wander off this time?

Frantically, Jory checked his pockets again. Then he ducked under the Hufflepuff table looking in all directions, trying to spot his missing egg. "Why does it keep going off on it own?'' he asked himself. The Egg was no where to be seen.

"Maybe it's in the dorm,'' the boy thought. He had already jumped up and ready to head for the dorm when on a hunch he picked up his bag pack. Opening it up, he searched among his books and was relieved to find Egghead at the back wrapped completely in his yellow and black scarf.

Gently, Jory lifted out the scarf wrapped egg and placed it on the table. He unwrapped the scarf and noticed Egghead was shivering. Jory knew immediately Egghead was cold and he placed his hand on it to confirm. Sitting back down, Jory performed the spell to make Egghead warm again. "Argentum Calidus!" he said swishing his wand and tapping the egg. Egghead stopped shivering immediately. Gently, Jory picked up the now warm egg and replaced it in his pocket then finished his breakfast.

Minerva walked in with Violet to get something to eat. She sat down and took a little food watching to make sure it wasn't to much for Violet. "Violet I want to speak with you about something."

Violet looked around her nervously. Everyone seemed so happy. And she was sad. It just seemed... Strange. She held back the tears that were threatening to overflow and sat down opposite Minnie, putting a burger on her plate and eating it. 'What is it, Minnie?' Violet asked, still looking around.

Well I know Rose was saying that you guys might be living in DA so she could find work. I offered for you, Rose, and Lilly to come and live with me. My parents said it was fine and we have a guest house in the new house. So you would be in your own house per say so it wouldn't even be that your moving into another family. Rose turned down my offer, but Violet you are one of my best friends here and I wanted to give you the offer as well. If all of it seems to much and you need to get away you are more then welcome to come with your sisters or alone."

Violet listened to Minnie and gaped. Wow. She hugged her friend. 'Thank you for the offer. I don't know whether you've been updated, but we've now been taken in by Rose's friend's brother...' Violet smiled, still looking around warily. She wanted to run, but it felt as if she were stuck to her seat. Then she realised. 'That horrible little Snion!' she gaped, laughing. Rose had stuck her to her seat so she'd come out!

"Oh, ok well that's good. The offer is always there if you want it though." Minerva said. She assumed it was Ronnie Violet was talking about. "How are you feeling today?" Minerva asked. She noticed Violet looking around every few seconds.

Alyssa came down for dinner. She had decided to come here when both the Common Room and the Girl's dorm "seemed out of bounds" because first Amethyst and Justin needed some time alone and then Minerva and Violet needed their own privacy too. So she figured here would be the best place where she could be and not invade anyone's privacy because this Hall was BIG and ALWAYS crowded and it would be hard for anyone to have any privacy in this place.

WRONG!! The moment she stepped into the hall and headed for the Hufflepuff Table, she noticed that somehow Minerva and Violet had somehow got there faster than her and were already at the table, talking to each other.

"Sigh!! I give up!!"Alyssa thought to herself. She looked around and found an empty seat right at the other end of the table. Whomever was sitting there didn't seem to be in quiet conversation with anybody, so there definitely wasn't any need for her to worry about invading anyone's privacy. Alyssa made her way down to the other end of the table.

Violet nodded, smiling. It was nice of Minnie to offer like that. How was she feeling? 'Uh. Well. Crud? My Mum's died, our Dad's depressed and Rose has stuck me to this seat.' Violet hmphed. 'How about you?' she asked, still trying to figure out a way to get free.
