" Aww, Knock it off. I'm not all that. Besides someone needs to take care of you. " Justin said as he smiled at her. " Go on , Persius. Get that to Mum straight way. "

Fooooood, glorious FOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDD!

That's what Kita was here for. Food. This was the Great Hall, food was the main thing she came for here! That and the fact that she had received absolutely BRILLIANT news and needed to celebrate one way or another.

Oh. But she was here for a little something else as well. A little something that concerns her best friend Caroline and her friend Jai. Great(!) This was going to be awkward wasn't it? Kita doesn't fare well under awkward situations. That's why she tends to keep herself as far away from those kind of situations as possible. But now? Now she had to put herself in one.

Siiiiiiiiiiiigh!

Still. The brunette could be seen skipping into the Great Hall, her heels making the usual clippety-clop sound it made when she was skipping or running. Out of natural instinct, she made her way towards the Hufflepuff table. The table that was so warm and welcoming, it might as well have comfy sofas placed here and there instead of benches.

But that would be hard for many people to fit into.

Kita's eyes wandered along to the table until they landed on-

CHOCOLATE CAKE?!

Letting out a huge squeal, she hurried over towards the spot where the large cake could be seen and sat down. Albeit it was a bit big but meh! She was here for CELEBRATE for merlin's sake! What better way to celebrate than with chocolate cake, right?

"You really think so" asked Ness. She herself wasn't too sure, she thought she wasn't fast enough and definitely not as fast as Kita. She was just glad there was only one more tryout and then she would just have to wait for the results.

Nessie looked at her watch. There was about an hour left till their next tryout. "Well..I'm gonna go get ready for the try out." she said wving to Isobel and leaving the Great hall.

As Nessie walked into the Great hall she spotted. "DAMIEN!!!!!!!!" She ran up to her big bro and gave him a hug. She was so excited to see him, she hadn't seen him at all this term and it was about time she did. She took a seat next to him sure he wouldn't mind. "Mind if I sit?" she asked just incase.

There was so much she had to tell him and this time it was good news...and a little bit of bad news too, but more good. "Guess..." she was about to start telling him her news when she noticed he was drinking some wierd sort of hot drink that didn't look elf-made. "what is that?" she changed her question midway .

She blushed deeply. She'd never been told that to before (well, from what she remembered). She watching Persius and smiled giving him a peck on the head. "Good Luck! Oh! Wait! I nearly forget!" She whistled softly and suddenly, a black owl flew in, landing on her shoulder. "Onyx, go with him. Okay?" Onyx hooted and pulled Ame's black hair from her face, just as she always did. Ame smiled kissing her on the head. "Be safe you two!" She watched as they flew off.

The sound of his name being heard clear across the entire Great Hall was enough to make Damien nearly spill the tea all over the front of his sweater, and it took all of two seconds for him to turn his head to the right and see Ness excitednly sitting down next to him. He smiled then chuckled lightly -- he'd really missed the free spirit of this one. Ness was the sister he'd never had, and as such, Damien took extra care when it came to her.

Apparently she had something she wanted him to guess, but stopped midway to take notice of the Irish tea he was drinking. "Family recipe," he replied with another chuckle. "My Aunt managed to teach me a couple things when it comes to conjuring up the perfect up of Irish tea." He took a slow sip out of his black and yellow striped mug, closing his eyes and taking in every bit of taste as he swallowed. "The elves don't do Irish all that much justice, but don't tell them I said that," he added quickly. "I don't want my food to be jinxed or anything."

He set the mug down before turning to face her, stradling the bench he was sitting on. "You wanted me to play a guessing game?" he asked teasingly, referring to her broken apart question that began with the word "guess".

Caroline had a long of classes classes and yes more classes. You would think she was in an OWL year, well it was her NEWTs year obliviously by the amount of books that she had hauled around all day. She only had a muffin and an apple for breakfast and a sandwitch for lunch. So now that it was time for dinner she thought that she should come on to the great hall.

Starting head over to her house table when out of the corner of her eyes she seen a chocolate cake at the Hufflepuff table. She laughed to herself. Hufflepuffs did always have the best chocolate cake in the great hall. She would never forget eating that whole chocolate cake with Kita that day. Speaking of Kita, if there was a cake over at the hufflepuff table then she had to be close by. She looked at around closer to the the cake. Sure enough Kita was there.

She ran over to the Hufflepuffs table. And plopped down beside of ther best friend. Giving her a bright smile. She couldn't wait to tell someone. Though Kita probably already knew. " I made the team." She squealed. Hugging Kita. Seriously she was so happy the she made it. It had been the single best thing that had happened to her this term. Maybe this was the starting point of even good and better things to come. Eh! One could hope. Right?

"And congrats to you too. I seen you made Hufflepuff's team again." She winked at Kita. *sigh* It was good to be her back to her normal goofy self again..... mmmm kind of. But it was fun to act like she was okay. She was still pretty upset over the past few day, but this chocolate cake was going to make her forget all about those gryffindor boys...... "I think the house elves knew we'd need some chocolate cake to celebrate!" She giggled.

She pulled the cake in between herself and Kita. "You think we can do this again?" She smirked at Kita picking up a fork.She grinned at Kita. For them to be best friends sadly they hadn't seen much of each other, "So, Bestie how are things going for you?" After taking a huge bite of cake.

Irish Tea..that didn't surprise Ness too much, Damien was very Irish after all. She had never drank Irish tea before, but it didn't look like something she'd like as she wasn't crazy over tea, she was more of the hot chocolate type. "It looks..interesting" she said not realling knowing what to say about the tea. "I wont tell them, my lips are sealed" She giggled and then took take an imaginary key, lock her lips and then throw the key away.

Guessing game? What was Damien talking about. "What?" Then she remembered. "Ohh yeah that." She thought of what to say first. She was in too much of a good mood to tell him any bad news so she decided to leave that for another time. "Guess who made the Hufflepuff quidditch team?" she asked knowing she sounded obvious.

Oh yummy chocolate cake. Why did it have to sit her tempting her so? Didn't it know how much she wanted to eat it? Maybe that was all part of its plan. To confuse vulnerable, hungry, chocolate-loving people like her. Evil choco-

PLOP!

WHHHAAAAAATTTT?! Who just plopped down next to her? And why so suddenly? Did she KNOW this person?

Slightly confused, Kita turned her head and looked at- "CAROLINE!" she squealed, about to hug her best friend when- Wait... did the girl just say she had made it onto the team? "What-" Wait... did she mean the Slytherin QUIDDITCH Team?! "Oh my days!" she squealed again, hugging Caroline back, "Congratulations! Now i know who i'll be cheering on when Slytherin play!" 'Course she was going to be cheering the blonde girl along! Heck, she'd come dressed in GREEN when Slytherin play! Except if they were playing against Hufflepuffs. Then she'd have to stick to her own house.

Wait... WHAT?! Kita blinked. She made it? She had actually made it onto the HOUSE TEAM?! "You serious?" she asked, before letting out another huge squeal, "Oh my days!" She had known the tryouts went well heck, she scored the most! but... being put on the team was still a huge deal! And this time, it was both her AND Caroline! Which meant that they could play to- Wait... "We're going to be playing up against each other," she stated, blinking at the girl sitting next to her. How in the name of merlin was this going to work out?!

Chocolate cake? Oh right! Kita looked down at the huge cake before looking up at Caroline and letting out a giggle. "I think they did," she said, "And they very cleverly," Was that even a word? "put it on the Hufflepuff table. Coincidence?" She winked before giggling again. Oh how she would miss sitting here and eating chocolate cake with Caroline! Do it again? Like eat the cake again? "'Course we can!" she said, "We're seventh years, we can do anything!" LIES!

It was just as Kita was about to help herself to some cake that Caroline asked a question. One that made her mind wander slightly. When was the last time the two girls had hung out? Summer holidays? Train? Start of term feast? Those were all at least two months ago. So what in the name of merlin had kept the two apart for so long since then? "Er... Things are okay, i guess," she said, "Between homework and NEWT's, there's really nothing going on with me." Her and her boring life! "What about you?" she asked, trying to ignore the fact that her heart was beating faster and faster. The time was coming and she knew it.

Justin watched as Onyx and Persius flew out of the Great hall together. " well, I guess they'll become fast friends. What do you think will happen in potions? I'm not very good I suspect. " Justin asked Amethyst.

Ame blushed. "I cannot even keep up in potions!" For some reason, her accent had a English hint to it. She shook her head softly looking at him. "If anything, I'm sure YOU are going to be better at that class than I will be." She chuckled softly.

" I don't know about that. Harvey and I were partners in class and he pretty much did it all. I'm the guinna pig. " justin said with his crooked half smile. " I would love for you to meet Rose. I think you two could be good friends. She's really quite nice once you get to know her. " he said as he put his arm around Amethyst and gave her lttle squeeze. " Oh, By the way , I made the House team! "

Interesting? His tea looked -- interesting? Raising an eyebrow in her direction, Damien withdrew his wand and conjured up a smaller cup that appeared before her. "You'd never know unless you try it," he said with a sideways smile. "Normally I don't conjure up too many things for myself, but this is porbably the one thing that will save me this term," he added as a sidenote. Nothing really important in that statement for Ness, but he still wanted her to try the tea all the same.

The Quidditch team? "Really?" he asked before taking another sip. "I wasn't even aware you wanted to try out for the House Team." And he wasn't -- in the conversations he'd had with his 'little sister' he was sure she never mentioned wanting to play Quidditch. Either that she had mentioned it, and he was off in his own stupid world and forgot about it.

"Is Lockhart still seeker?" he asked. "I haven't seen him all term."

"Maybe I should meet her!" She smiles softly as she looked at him. She honestly didn't know what she'd think of Rose, but it would make an introduction. "And, with practice, you'll get better at it than me!" She giggled softly. Once she heard the good news, she nearly jumped from her seat and hugs him tightly. "Congratulations!!"

That was probably one of the most productive classes she'd ever had. Maybe it was because the Professor explained things really well or perhaps it was because Mia was actually getting better with her magic. Whatever it was, she had finally enjoyed doing magic.

Walking into the Great Hall, she headed over to the Huffie table to return the cutlery they had used in class. Mia didn't know whether she was supposed to just leave it on the table or if there was a special box or something to put them in.

Actually now that she was here, she decided to grab something to eat and she might as well use her cutlery while she was here and then practise cleaning it off afterwards.

Alyssa walked into the Great Hall. They were just done with Divination Class and she felt like her brain was fried...."No pun intended", Alyssa laughed to herself especially since she was in the Great Hall where fried food was being served. She wondered to herself whether the elves were busy cooking all the time because the moment she sat at her House Table food appeared on the table. Actually she was here to return the cutlery that they were asked to polish and return from Charms class. But she figured that since she was here, she might as well grab something to eat. Her tummy started growling in agreement with her. She laughed to herself and reached forward to fill her plate with mash potatoes and some...believe it or not...fried chicken!!

And why was Damien raising an eyebrow? Ness didn't think she'd said anything wrong. Did she? Wait...he expected her to try it . She stared at it not sure what to do. She didn't mind tea but she hated black tea and this so called irish tea looked black."Umm..I'll try it later." She said knowing Damien wouldn't be happy with her excuse."I..err..I'm sensitive to caffeine."She looked at Damien hoping he would just go along with her lame excuses.

Ness nodded as she watched Damien take another sip of his tea. "Yeah!" She said with a wide grin. "I only decided to over the holidays"Nessie was even surprised herself that she had started playing quidditch, she was generally more of the girly type but quidditch just looked like something fun to try out. "You better come watch me" she needed her 'big bro to be there and obviously her little sis Juliet too.

Lockhart? Who was Lockhart? Hmmm..seeker..wait Damien was talking about Treyen. "Oh Trey? I don't think he's playing this year," she said not too sure herself. She hadn't seen the prefect at all that term and she wondered how that was even possible."Me niether."

Alyssa turned and heard Kita and another girl congratulate each other for making the Quidditch team. She was glad that Kita had made the team. At least the team had a better chance now. She just wished that she had not missed tryouts. But that was in the past. She'll try again next year. "Hey!", she thought to herself,"Not everybody can be in the team, and only great grand-dad made the team in his first year. Everybody else failed on their first tryouts too, even Great granduncle, Ron, who I believe made a clown of himself during the tryouts,"Alyssa laughed to herself and she recalled the stories she was told. "So I'll keep practising and until then I'll provide support from the sidelines. Hopefully by next year, I'll be ready".

She then went up to Kita,"Hey Kita, congratulations on making the team. This definitely calls for celebration and I believe the House Elves have already beat up to the punch. Isn't chocolate your favorite snack of ALL TIME!,"Alyssa teased her older Hufflepuff friend.

Justin walked in with Amethyst on his arm and big smile on his face. " We can sit wherever you'd like. " he said to Ame.

Alyssa walked into the Great Hall with Penny. She liked Penny a lot but in about 2 hours time, Penny and her will most likely be yelling at each other and saying stuff they wouldn't normally say to each other...all because of the Hate potion that Professor Lafay had made them brew. Thankfully, the effects would only last for about 20 minutes...that is if they had brewed the potion the way it was supposed to.

Alyssa anxiously looked down at the food that was in front of her. She had lost her appetite but knew that she needed to eat something. So smiling at Penny, she took her first bite. "Hopefully this won't be my last,"Alyssa thought to herself.

After finally deciding on long, curly, slightly darker than her original colour hair, Kynthia made her way to the Great Hall. All that changing hair all morning made her hungry. She sat down on her house's table and began eating. Ok. I'm gonna do this one last time and no more she thought to her self, as she tried to hide behind a pumpkin juice pitcher and said "Ristaris.". Back to auburn! I hope no one noticed that I walked in with dark brown hair... Wouldn't want people to think I'm obsessed with my hair or something... I'm supposed to practice these spells anyway, people!. She returned to her roast and potatoes, glancing around but nobody seemed to have noticed her makeover.

justin walked in and sat down at his house table with Harvey right behind him. " Oi, Harv! What's takin' ya so long?! " Justin called to his friend.

"I'm coming I'm coming, keep your pants on mate" Harvey said smiling, he sat down next to Justin, he had never sat on this table before.

" So, what's your pleasure? I'm in the mood for some rare roast beef and mashed potatoes green bean casserole and a warm roll...Mmmm." Justin said as his mouth started to water.

"oh nothing like that for me, just plain old sausage and mash will do, with a side of sweetcorn and beans" Harvey smiled as he thought about the food

As the two boys waited for the food to arrive Justin looked over at his friend, " It's been fun today , right? It's just wierd that it's been just the two of us all day. Neither of the girls came for either of us. strange."
