Kurumi nodded as Professor Scabior explained the game and then...wait...was that the start of the game?! Perhaps the first question? Was it a trick question? Would a simple yes suffice? Kurumi felt her palms were sweating just a bit and she swallowed hard.

"Crystal clear, Professor Scabior," she sort of kind of squeaked as she nodded her head. That was better than a simple yes, right? If this was included in the game that is...

Uh…… homework? No thanks. Sky hated homework (which is probably why she didn't do much of it). Nope she preferred looking things up when the mood struck her. Anyway. "Understood," she answered. Because it wasn't that hard to understand.

William raised his hand." I understand completely" William told the professor." I expect this game to be very interesting" William said to the professor.

Elise looked around at the people on her side. Blinking, she realized that she could count them all on one hand. There were just four?!

Well, if he had assigned homework, who's be doing their final assignments with the enormous workload? Not that she was done or anything...

Nodding at all the right places as Professor Scary-or Scabior explained the game to them, she rushed a, "As crystal, Professor!"

Duelling game. This should be fun.

This game became far less appealing to the Slytherin girl once the Professor said there wouldn't be any actual duelling. But well, it was four against...however many people were on the left side of Scabior so this should be easy enough, right? Although, she didn't particular enjoy being known as 'a person with a normal wand'.

Nodding after Scabior asked if everything was clear, Evelyn glanced around to see just who was on their side. Alrighty then.

Dueling game? That was fine...

"Understood professor" Ira replied.

Oh. A game? They would be playing a game? And a question and answer game. Versus those four at the other side. Yes, there were only four of them at Professor Scabior's left side. Not really what she had expected.

"Clear Professor." She answered at his inquiry. Time to get started!

Dueling without the actual dueling... Interesting. Jonathan listened to the professor as he kept explaining the whole procedure for their game-- activity--- or whatever it is they want them to do. The rules were pretty simple. He asks a question, they answer him. Jonathan is pretty capable of that, since he is known to be a one question, one answer kind of guy.

He could get used to this.

When the Professor asked them if everything is clear, Jonathan looked at him. Wait. Was that part of the activity already? "Yup. Super clear" he answered nodding his head. This would be fun.

Minerva was still upset for forgetting to do her work. She never forgot school work. She just shook her head yes to make it clear she understood without really making eye contact with the professor.

Victoria listened carefully to the professor's words. Err..."Kind of professor." Victoria replied at last. "Just answer the questions? That's all we have to do? We don't even need our wands?" What is dueling without wands? That's not called dueling!

Alyssa nodded her head to indicate that she had understood the Professor's instructions. That she could do.....at least she wasn't alone in this. So she waited for the Professor to start.

"Well...like I sad before. Answer the questions, depending on your answer i'll tell you if you get to move forward." He nodded. "Yeah, no actual wands."

"Alright since there are no more questions we can start now." Good. "So the saying wands of elder never prosper comes from a very old wizarding fairy tale. Who knows what the name of the tale is?"

Oooh. Indiana knew this question! That made her very happy. Very Very Happy. But she was hoping that she'd be first, or near the first lot of students answering the question. That would make her feel very happy. The little ravenclaw beamed, as she raised her hand, bouncing on the spot a little. Yeah. She was feeling a little excited. "I think it comes from the Tale of the Three Brothers" That was a very tale. Indy had read it in a book she had borrowed from the library. yeah...just a little nerdy. But oh well. It was okay.

Alyssa raised her hand and said, " The Tale of The Three Brothers. It's found in the book Tales of Beedle the Bard".

Sky racked her brain trying to think of an answer. "Tale of the Three Brothers?" she said, questioningly. She wasn't real sure, seeing as it had been a long time since she'd read a fairy tale, muggle or magical. Since she was eight, in fact.

Victoria knew this question! She riased her hand high in the air."The Tale of Three Brothers, sir." Victoria answered. Okay, then what now? Victoria is quite anxious to know what's happening next. True, it's not exciting as a real duel, but still really interesting.

Kurumi took a deep breath before raising her hand - they still needed to raise their hands, correct? "The tale in question is called The Tale of the Three Brothers written by Beedle the Bard," Kurumi said simply. She had seen in the library other versions of the fable, so it was best to list the author as well, right? Just to avoid any possible confusion...yes?

Tori - not VicTORIa - really wanted to win this thing. Who ever said 'wands of elder never prosper' was about to be WRONG with a capital R.

"It comes from the story the Tale of the Three Brothers in the book the Tales of Beedle the Bard. It was supposedly given to Antioch Peverell by Death himself." Yup, that should be a sufficient answer.

Harvey slowly answered "It comes from the tale called Tale of the Three Brothers, it is part of a Wizard fairy tale book that is written by Beedle the Bard." he said, he hoped that his answer was the sort of depth that the professor wanted.

Whaa?! Was that a trick question or something? A few minutes ago, the professor had been all 'RAWR! You won't move on unless your answer is GOOD ENOUGH'! Yet...the first question out of his mouth is something that just requires a right or wrong answer?

Scabs made no sense. None at all. She eyed him suspiciously. He was a former Slytherin, after all. She thought. He was likely up to something. "I do," she simply said, her hand raised in the air.

Ira's hand immediately shot up into the air. She knew this one, at least!

She answered "I do, professor." Well, hadn't he asked who knew the answer? She furthur said, "I know the answer. Umm, the name of the tale is 'The Tale of Three Brothers'. It was written by.... by Beedle The Bard."

Elise grinned. Was a sneaky answer going to kick her out?

"I do, Professor!" she said, beaming. He only asked if they knew the name of the tale. He didn't ask them for the tale, did he? Racking through her eidetic memory, she replayed the line.

'Who knows what the name of the tale is,'. That was her. Simple, she gave him what he'd asked for. Nothing more, nothing less. She should be a Slytherin, really.

She made it pretty clear that she wasn't going to continue. This was kinda surprising. Everyone was overdoing their answers, except one or two people who seemed to think the way she did. Smart people.

All the same, she murmured, 'The Tale of Three Brothers, by Beedle the Bard. The Wand of Elder supposedly a gift from Death himself to Antioch Peverell.'

Simon looked at the Professor and smiled. "Yeah I know it." This was one of the questions that he knew, though he didn't really want to speak it out loud because then he would just be copying people.
