OH YES I DID! Amy shouted back, her voice slightly raw now from all this shouting BECAUSE YOUR GUITAR IS RUBBISH! She shouted pateticly, losing all arguments. She wanted to smack him. She wouldn't risk getting near him though. He was already going to kill her. And yet, she wanted to make him even more angry for it. She really really really wanted to turn his face into mulch. In all honestly, Anakin could have met Vashti anywhere for the purpose he had this evening, but seeming as they usually met up in a corridor located somewhere in the castle, he didn't feel the need to break their rather odd, unproclaimed, tradition.
Anakin arrived early like he usually did, and slid down the wall, crossing his legs indian style and fiddling with the small blue wrapped box in his hand. He was a little nervous, he didn't really know WHY he was all that nervous, but nonetheless he was.
He hadn't got much of a chance to see her as of late, and he felt a little strained talking to her when they did because of the looming date of his hearing correction. An knew she was worried, she'd told him as much on numerous occasions, and he didn't want to be one adding that to her life. But likewise, he couldn't cancel like he knew she wanted him too. He really did want to be able to hear voices. Laughs. Be able to normally hold a conversation.
It'd be a good thing. Once it was done.

So Vashti was determined not to bring certain stuff up when she talked to Anakin today. Even if a part of her was hoping he wouldn't go through with it if she pestered him enough about it, she didn't want to argue about it today. That was all it was really, an argument, and she hated that. She didn't want that to be all she said to him anymore, and she didn't like being frustrated or angry with him. So today, she'd give him - and herself - a break. They didn't get to talk like this very often, so she wanted it to be a good conversation - like they used to have.
Of course it didn't surprise her that he was the first one there. He always seemed to get there first except when they went to Hogsmeade. She smiled as she sat down next to him, poking him in the arm as usual.
"Hey you."

As per usual, Anakin wasn't paying any attention to people walking by from where he was sitting, and wasn't at all concentrating on the vibrations he could feel from footsteps, he was still looking at the small box in his hands.
His attention was diverted however when he felt a light poke in his arm. The boy didn't even have to look to know who it was, but he turned his head anyways to look at her and give a smile, before lifting one of his arms and draping it over her shoulder to give a quick half hug. "Hey Queenie, how are you?" Anakin beamed a little bit at her.

"Yeah well..." Everett tried to think of what to say, stuttering a few syllables, before finally giving up trying to think of an insult. He was too angry to think of something. And as she stormed off, he glared in the distance, holding his guitar safe in his arms. He stood there for a few moments, slightly calming down. It was only when he was feeling slightly calmer that he remembered how it all started. Yeah, it really hadn't turned out how he wanted it to.
All he had wanted to do was get Amy's attention on him, possibly make her jealous in the process. He didn't know exactly why he wanted to, it was of course not because he had any interest in her, he hated her. Yep. Hate. So he had no idea. He had been stupid, really stupid.
With a glare in the direction where Amy went, Everett headed off in the opposite.

WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED
Yeah, remember that time Sammy was really confused about who River Song was and how everything worked out when time went funny? Times her confusion by ten and you'd receive half the confuse-ment that Sammy was suffering at the moment. So .... Amy had yelled, Everett had yelled, there was some guitar smashing done, more yelling from both parties, then storming off. WHAAAAAAAAAAAAA. "I need a pensieve, really badly" she said, walking off in the direction Amy had gone, Amy was her best friend, Everett was just a guy who was a friend. Best friends came first.

Elliot nodded. "Honestly, having money is pretty awesome, I will be the first to admit. I get practically everything I want. But your title, your family, and where you come from is what is really important," she said, nodding firmly at her opinion. In her eyes, the her family pretty much had the best of both worlds.
"OH, Merlion no, neither am I. We are only ickle firsties. But I am sure that by the time we graduate we will be very polished and nice, the best at whatever we do, Cora. SO don't worry. We're Ravenclaws, afterall," she assured her with a wink and a smirk.
"Well...thanks. I am decent it at it. not nearly as good as my father would like, but I can read it and translate it and stuff. I also have the first dozen stanzas of the first book in the Aeneid memorized, with the correct meter and everything," she bragged, not mentioning what she was going on about. Because if Cora didn't know..well, Elliot wasn't explaining it. Hmph!
Cora had been lost in though for a while.
To be honest, Cora hadn't quite thought about whether or not her family had a good reputation by wizarding standards. She supposed they must be well off, but she really didn't know about that much. She supposed her father must have done something quite extraordinary before he died, but then again she knew there was something her mother was concerned about when she didn't let her out. Most likely just paranoia.
Cora blinked. "Thanks," she said, finally responding to Elliot's reassurances. "I'm sure soon we will be wonderful witches." Cora said to reason to herself just as much as Elliot.
"Wow, Aeneid, that's quite brilliant really. I suppose that could be useful. What made you decide to memorize it?"
Aurora had dried her eyes and washed her face before she made her way up to the fourth floor. She stood outside the library, nervously fiddling with the ends of her hair, and waited for Kennedy. Was he mad at her..? Was she mad at him? She didn't even know... she was kind of annoyed but she was more... just upset that they had argued. She just wanted them to be happy again, and never ever fall out again. Ever. It wasn't nice.

After Kennedy had placed the book his was reading back to where it belonged he made his way out of the library. He was nervous as to what Aurora wanted to talk to him about. He didn't want to think of the worse, so he kept that thought out of his head. When he got out his eyes quickly found her and his stomach did a somersault.
He wasn't sure if she was mad, but he had been so stupid that maybe she was. He walked closer and stood in front of her with his hands in his pockets. He didn't know what to say, but he could start with an apology. "I-I'm sorry," he whispered, his head hanging down in shame and his curly fringe covering his eyes.

Aurora looked up as someone walked out of the library. It was Kennedy. She dropped her hands from her hair and let them hang by her sides as she watched him walk over. She suddenly thought she was probably being stupid, that he might not even want to talk to her. After all, she had been rather rude to him. And then he apologised... she didn't have the words to reply though she opened her mouth to try, then closed it again. He hung his head and she just couldn't say anything, she felt really bad for making him feel like that. She took a step forwards and laid her head on his chest, wrapping her arms around him. "I... me too." she managed.

Kennedy had prepared himself for Aurora to step away from him, like she had at the owlery, but instead she hugged him. Without hesitating, he wrapped his arms around her. He felt like such an idiot for what happened. If only he had controlled his mood.
He shook his head slightly. "You have nothing to be sorry for," he whispered. She didn't. He was the one that took Puff up to the owlery, he was the one that had frozen instead of reacting fast, he was the one that had let his frustration take over.

Already everything felt better. She relaxed as Kennedy wrapped his arms around her, so he wasn't mad, that was good. She smiled slightly, holding him tighter.
"Yeah... I do." she replied, he was being so nice... and... she had been mean and just walked out on him after saying that. She breathed in deeply and rubbing her eyes with one hand. "So yeah... I'm sorry." she glanced up at him, with his cute curls falling into his eyes... he was adorable and he made her smile.

Kennedy still disagreed with her, but let it go. It had been both their faults maybe. "Y-You didn't mean...you still want me in your life...right?" he said, not wanting to say if she broke up with him, though the hug made him better.
For a minute there, the feeling he always had back home tried to resurface, but he knew that Aurora wasn't like the people back there, and that plastered a smile on his face. He wasn't ready to let go, not yet.

Elliot raised an eyebrow. "Soon? We already are, Cora. Just need to refine our skills..." she replied with self assurance. She ran a hand through her blonde hair, smirking all the while.
She then thought about how to answer Cora's question. Hmmm...
"Well. I thought I'd seem really smart to my father if I did. You see, every year at the huge Christmas party my family throws, if you have a special talent, you perform it. My cousin can sing really well, so she sang. Others play the piano, some can do wicked magical lights and stuff. One year, I think about two years ago, I wanted to really impress everyone...so that's why I did it," she explained, trying to not to seem too proud of herself. Afterall, her father hadn't been as impressed as she would have liked. In fact, he merely clapped and continued his conversation with her grandfather afterwards.
Elliot sighed, then, glancing out the window.
"Can you believe the year is almost over? We'll be second years, soon," she commented nostalgically. "You HAVE to come visit me over the summer, Cora! I live in Scotland, in the mountains. My family a whole bunch of land, so we can ride brooms or stay in my house, which has equally as much to do!" she cried, a bit excited for a minute. Her parents would let her do whatever she pleased...and running around the mountains didn't seem fun to Elliot, but she supposed she could handle it with another person..

What? Aurora raised her eyebrows, "No! I mean... yes! I... I do." she said. "I really do." No, she wouldn't ever want to get rid of him. Why would she? Why would anyone? Everyone was entitled to their bad moments right? Right. She was well aware that her own bad moments often outweighed her good ones. This should probably have given her a capacity to forgive other people for theirs but that wasn't the case. Though she found herself brushing Kennedy's bad bits aside until she almost believed they weren't there.

PHEW!
A huge load was lifted from his shoulders when she said that. Even the tension in his shoulders seemed to leave. "Alright then because I'm not going anywhere," he said, kissing her forehead. It would pretty hard to avoid her since they were in the same house and shared the same common room, but he wouldn't even dare try that. Why would he?
He straightened up, but still held her in his arms. "I-I didn't mean the thing about what muggles did." He had just said it because he was in a bad mood. Dogs only got put down if they attacked a person and even if he didn't agree with it, it was the truth.

Aurora smiled, "Good." she said, grinning. She closed her eyes as he kissed her head and smiled a little. She decided she never ever wanted to fight with Kennedy ever, ever again. It was worse than arguing with people she didn't know very well - she kind of enjoyed that.
"P-promise?" she said, blinking at him. Because animals meant an awful lot to her and putting them down for no reason was wrong... and horrible.

He smiled at her. Wasn't arguing and stuff like that part of being in a relationship? If it was, then that wasn't going to be his favorite part, but he would withstand it just for Aurora. Plus, it wasn't like if they were going to argue every time they saw each other. He quite enjoyed spending time with her.
Promise?
How could he promise something that he had no control over? "I promise I won't ever do that," he said. "I just can't promise muggles not doing it." He hung his head again. He felt as if he was letting her down in some way. Maybe, when he got back home he'll set every dog free or something, but that was a crazy idea.

Aurora stared at him, "So they... they actually do that?!" she squeaked, covering her mouth with her hand. "Th-that's horrible!" Her eyebrows furrowed into a frown, she was horrified, she'd feel terrible if that happened to any of her pets, or Rufin's, or any animal for that matter and just thinking about it brought tears to her eyes.

Oh no!
Now why did he have to say that. Kennedy mentally cursed at himself. He had to be so stupid to bring that up right now. He rubbed her back gently when he saw the tears in her eyes.
IDIOT!
"B-But they only do it when an animal seriously hurts an innocent person," he said, trying not to freak out. "It rarely happens." So far, it hasn't happened in his community so that was a plus, right? It had to be.

"But... what about if a person seriously hurts an innocent animal?! They wouldn't do it then, would they!?" she said, her mouth gaping slightly. She shook her head in disbelief. "It shouldn't happen ever!" she enthused, a confused frown covering her face. She wanted to go to these people and... and... and curse them or something. But for now she settled with just glaring at her shoes and tightening her fists.
"Can we like... move." The corridor felt a little public, especially right next to the library with people coming and going all the time. She just wanted to relax and curl up somewhere, somewhere warm...

"I-I don't think so," he said, raking his brain for information. "That would be considered animal abuse." Yeah, then it would be the person that'd be in trouble and not the animal. Kennedy was pretty sure that was how the system worked... whatever that system was.
He grimaced when he saw her looking down. Why couldn't bring up the subject about unicorns or something more pleasant and less depressing? Well, he couldn't keep Aurora in the dark forever, she'd eventually find out.
Kennedy looked at their surroundings and finally realized that they were in the middle of the corridor. With his cheeks turing red he nodded and took her hand. "Lead the way," he grinned.

"So when an animal injures a human they get killed but when a human injures an animal they just get... nothing?" she asked, still in a state of utter disbelief. Honestly, all the cool things these muggles do and yet they still think something as horrific as this is okay? It was... argh.
Aurora glanced back up at Kennedy to catch sight of his familiar blush, that made her grin, he was so cute when he did that. And she wondered if he always noticed when he was doing it. She gave his hand a squeeze and pulled him gently down the corridor, "Come on, this way." she said, leading him towards the stairs.
It's okay, didn't give you anything to work with. (:

Anakin grinned at her when she returned the hug, not really considering at all hiding the box from her sight. It was for her, wasn't it? Birthday present. And what was the point in hiding it? To wait for the best possible second in the conversation to bring it out and give it to her? No, if he did that he knew in the back of his mind he'd wimp out anyways. Merely because he felt like he was being too...cheesy. Or embarassing, and he was only slightly worried she'd laugh in his face once he given her the gift. And even having gone through all that in his subconscious before she'd appeared, An still grew nervous when she asked him what he held in his hand.
Gulping and glancing down at it, the teen blushed a little before handing it over. "Er...it's actually a present. Birthday present, for you." Inside was a pendant, laced by a simple thin chain. He had something he wanted to say with it, but wanted to wait until she had gotten a chance to open up the gift.
How was he? "I'm doing really well, thanks. How are all your classes going?" He'd for the most part, been skipping the actual lesson parts of class and collecting notes later when he turned in the previous assignment.
