Wow, you are fast"William told Presley. " I see why you can pick up baseball and football easy" William said to Presley." I am catching up, esth out" Willliam called to Presley.

MERLIN! William was not slow on his broom. But Pres was determined to win this race. She leaned further forward, urging her broom faster. Reaching the end of the pitch in record time Presley whipped around and headed the other direction. She didn't look anywhere but where she was going, and she prayed to Merlin that Cove and William were far behind her. But for all she knew, they might have finished already.

" SHow-off" William laughed. " How did you learn to fly so fast?" Willaim asked Presley. "Did you try out for the RavenClaw quidditch team?" William asked Presley.

"Well, I got my first real broom on my third birthday, and my dad taught me when I was little." Her, try out for quidditch? Was he crazy? "No, I didn't. I have a hard time coordinating unsing my hands for something else and flying at the same time. I'm awful at quidditch. Did you try out for the Gryff team?" She called to him. She passed the finish line, and flipped her broom around to see where William was. That was the fastest she'd ever flown before and it kind of made her want to go faster. She needed a racing broom. End of story. Maybe she'd ask for one for Christmas.

" I got my first broom when I was two, but a better broom on my 8 th birthday' William told Presley." You are co-ordianted"William told Presley. " Remeber, you are doing well learing baseball and football frm me which takes co-ordination" William explained to Presley. William just came in behind Presley by one second. Actually I have been playing Quidditch since I was two because my dad and his best friend played on Gryffindor plus Chudley Canon's championship teams who taught all of us in the family ro play Quidditch" William did more explaining to Preseley. " Oh yeah, I tried out for the house team and was cut from it" William sighed.

Presley laughed. "but if I fall in baseball or football, it's less of a drop to the ground." She was startled to see William right behind her. It had been a close race. she restrained herslef from doing a happy dance and screaming 'I'VE WON!' across the pitch. That was rude. "That's really cool that your dad is a Quiditch star. I love watching it, and I can mess around, but when it comes to a real game, I'm not nearly good enough. OH! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to bring up touchy subjects. I'm sure you'll make it next year!" Presley knew quite well that feeling of trying out/auditioning for something, and not making it. She and this feeling were close friends. Pres was an actor, and she knew how crushed William must be.

" Well, you are right, it is less of a drop to the ground" William laughed with Presley. " Sometimes you could hurt yoruself in baseball or football, too" William told Presley." Yes, my dad id retired from Quidditch but he retired at the top of his game" William explained to Presley." I bet I could teach you to be good" William said to Presley." Yes, next trrm I will make it" William smiled.
" Unfortunately I was better than a lot of the students picked to be on the team and our team will probably lose" William sighed.

Presley laughed. William was confident at least. "That would be nice. I just like to have at least one hand on the broom at all times, and sometimes in Quidditch you have to take them both off. It scares me a little."

" Good, I love teaching you" William told Preseley. " You are a great listener and that is why everything comes easy to you" William said to Presley. " Really, I do not remeber anyone taking off both hands off their broom while playing Quiddimtch' William explained to Presley. " Of course, I have been known to be wrong a lot" William laughed.

"Never learned. That's what William's for!" Cove said. "I know how to fly. I'm an awesome flyer." Cove said. She kicked off the ground and caught up with the other two in the air racing. She flew ahead of them a little just to show them how fast she was. "I told you I was good!"

" You are great at flying, too" William told Cove. "So you are ready to learn just like Presley?" William asked Cove. " You will teaching me surfing, thar is my price" William explained to Cove laughing.

"Why thank you." She said with a slight tilt if the head. "I've been ready to learn how this whole time." Cove said excitedly.

"Do you know the positions of the Quidditch team?" William asked Cove. " The seeker is the most important postion" Willam told Cove." There are two Beaters, who play defense and some offense, three Chasers, who play offense and the Keeper who plays only defense" Wiliam explained to Cove.
" The bludger is hit by bats by the Beaters,Chasers hit or actually throw the Quaffles and the Snitvh cames floating down and only the seekers are allowed to grab it" Willaim said to Cove. "Which position would suit you?" Wiliam asked Cove.

"My eye sight and hearing are my best senses, so I would think Seeker." Cove said.

"I've seen a couple of games where someone has done it." Practically the only thing Presley's brother had done with her when she was little was to take her to tons of professional Quidditch games. But he was way older than her, so it was understandable. "Mosty keepers and chasers. But I've seen a seeker do it once." The seeker had promptly fallen off of his broom, but he'd caught the snitch, so it had been worth it.


Presley laughed. "I don't play well. But I know the theory really well. Maybe I could teach you that, and William can get the both of us to actually do it well."

"I think all of he positions are equally important," Presley said in response to William's seeker comment. Then she laughed at his complicated explanation. "Maybe we should start easy. There are four balls. The Quaffle is the main one. Three chasers throw the quaffle and try to get it through the big hoops. The Keeper, blocks it. With me so far?"

" Good, then you will be taught the seeker posyion by me" Wiliam told Cove. "Are you ready to learn the other aspects of the game, too?" Willaim asked Cove,

" So would you like to learn Chaser or Keeper?" Willaim asked Presley. " It seems you and Cove are ready' William told Presley. "See, I told you I was wrong about no hands" William laughed.

"Sweet. Yeah I'm ready for anything." Cove said smiling.

"Maybe we should just work on basic skills for me, 'cause I know howto play, I just have a hard time putting it to practice" Pres suggested. "Cove, I'm excited for you to learn!" Presley could hardly contain herself. She got to witness someone learning Presley's favorite game of all time.

Cove turned her attention to Presley. "Thanks, it's so much adreniline running through me." Cove said.

" Ok, tell me what doess a Chaswe do in Quiddich? William asked Cove. "What about a Beater?" William asked Cove." We will practice in a few minutes" William told Cove.

" Basic skills are good" Willaim told Presley. " What does a Keeper do?" William asked Presley. " What does the seeker do?" William asked Presley. " Just like I told Cove, we will practice in a few minutes" William said to Presley.

"Once you've learned, we should all go see a game together. Have you ever seen it played by pro's?" Presley didn't want to mistakenly assume that Cove knew nothing.

"I know what they do," Preslsey laughed lightly. "The keeper defends the goal, the seeker looks for and catches the snitch. I'm just bad at doing it. I'm actually not half-bad at playing seeker or beater or maybe even keeper. It's really chaser i'm bad at. Could we maybe throw the quaffle back and forth for a while?"

" Ok, you know what they fo" William said to Presley. " You got the positions and what they do right" William told Presley." Sure, let;s work with the Quaffle" William explained to Presley and Rose.

"Okay a Chaser........a chaser ries to get the quaffle and put into the other teams goal posts...." Cove said uncertainly. "And the beaters keep the bludgers away from the chasers so they can score and not get hurt." She thought.

"That sounds like a lot of fun. I've never been to a Quidditch game before. I've only heard of Quidditch. The rest of my family are muggles."

" You are right on both accounts" William told Cove. "So are you ready to use the quaffle right now?" William asked Cove.

Presley waited for William to throw the ball they were using as a make-shift quaffle. She was awful at hand-eye coordination or whatever it was. She was excited to learn to be better.
