Oakey got back to the practice pitch as quietly as possible, hopefully no one noticed that he accidentally took the broom with him when he followed "SHAW!" to his classroom. He hopped back onto it and began flying around again as if he had never left to begin with.

Isobel ran back on to the pitch with her broom after Transfiguration. She decided to ignore the other people, because the captain person kind of scared her. ANYWHO...Isobel mounted her broom and flew over to Oakey. "Hey," she said. "What do you think of SHAW?" She said his name all dramatic-like.

Oakey heard Isobel call up to him and asked him about "SHAW!" Him? He can be REALLY funny sometimes but then extremely terrifying the rest of the time. Oakey decided it needed to be asked. Why do you think the Ministry would let him teach here? I'm not doubting his teaching skills, He's just not right in the head.

Selina did not even notice that Simon had gradually moved his way over to the stands since she had settled onto his broom. Although perhaps it was for the best that she got off of his broom. The blood in her cheeks were too much for her to handle presently and if she blushed anymore a blood vessel would pop. She had never been this close to Simon before and with Kyle helping Kurumi a close distance away she wanted to get away from him as quickly as possible. Selina was not stupid. She knew they both liked each other and maybe it would be for the best if she swallowed her crush on her Captain.

He let her down in the stands and she landed a little hard on her feet, but regained her footing. She looked up at him and said one more time for effect, "Thank you. You really don't understand what you did out there for me today. I would have died, no question. And... well... just thank you for being there to catch me..."

MERLIN'S WOOL SOCKS!

"Selina! Don't you dare go towards the light!" she squeaked shaking her finger in the direction she thought Selina was in. Sadly, she was shaking her finger at an empty seat in the stands instead of behind and slightly above her.

Shaken, not stirred. That was certainly how she felt. More like she had been through the spin cycle in a washing machine for several hours.

It was then that she noticed Selina sitting on the back of Simon's broom. "Oh no! Not you too!?" she squeaked loudly as her eyes spun around in her head as she attempted to regain some focus.

When the number of Simons went to 4, then to 3, then to 2, and eventually back to 1, Kurumi's cheeks flushed and she tried to climb over the mess of benches and fabric to reach the two. "Thank Merlin! You are both alive!"

" Good, we will practice together" William told Hannah." There is my friend Ariella over there" William said to Hannah. "We can all practice together" William explained to Heather.

" This is Heather, my sister" William told Ariella. " So can all three of us practice together?" William asked Ariella." We will have fun" William smiled.

Isobel laughed at Oakey's answer. "Yes, he does kind of scare me." Hos whole thing with chainsaws. "But he's pretty epic. I kind of wish he had an office here, I want to talk to him." The conversation wouldn't make much sense, but that would make it more epic. "Yeah, I was wondering that too. It's more that Borr dude, who is the ruler of the ministry, but there's something about him...." SHAWdude was still epic.

"Hi, Heather! It's great to meet you. I'm Ariella Adler," said Ariella. "Sure! I'd be glad to practice together!"

They had been discussing the Beater position, no? He forgot which one was the one Cassie had preferred, but he came prepared for whatever it was they were going to do today, and if not...he was sure they could find something down the Broomshed or here at the Pitch.

If all else fails, he was sure something could be accio'd into this place.

So, he only had to wait for Cassie, right? And that's what he was doing, with the same broomstick he's always had for the last seven years.

*Vroooooooom...... VROOOOOOOOM....*

Aaron pretended to rev the engine of his motorcycle Oakshaft 2010. First flight of the season, the boy thought. Then, suddenly his mind panicked. Oh my gosh, what if I take off right now, and I fall... And that ends up being my LAST flight at Hogwarts....... MY LAST FLIGHT EVER!??!!?? THAT WOULD BE HORRIFYING!!!!

Aaron could fly. That much was clear. I'm a pretty good Chaser, too. Aaron started to show off for the other flyers... Speeding around the pitch at highway speeds... Barrel Rolls... Loops... Backwards flying... And you know... other... Fun... Stuff....

Selina was so glad to be back on the ground for the first time in her life. She ran over to Kurumi and enveloped her friend in a hug. For a moment there she thought that the two were both going to get hurt and that Selina would... but she was okay now. No negative thoughts. Simon had seen to the fact that they were both standing there alive and well.

"Are you okay, Kurumi?"

Cassie had already been by the pitch chatting it up with Alex and his little friend but when she saw her coach, she quickly said good bye and headed over. They didn't have that much time left until quidditch tryouts after all and she had to be ready. She strut over to him with one of those shed brooms in her hands, feeling a tad embarrassed, seeing that she saw other people with their own brooms. Thankfully she had written home about a broom and was expecting one any day now.

She grinned at Treyen as she finally got over to where he was standing. This was it right? Broom, Treyen must have the other thingies because Cass had no idea where she would get those from.

"Ready Coach?"

Penny had been having a little practise, when she had seen the man squash the ravvie first year... Noticing two of her house-mates following him and then returning...
Now they were talking about the man, who Penny now recognised as Professor Shaw who taught Transfiguration... She flew over to the pair, seeing one of them was the Huffie Captain..

"I know him, I had Transfiguration with him this morning - He's a fairly good teacher, but I think he may be a little weird though !!!"

" I plsy keeper" William told Ariela. Hannah and you, I am not sure what positions you play' William said tlo Ariella. " So are we ready for practice?' Willaim asked the girls.

Aha! There she was. As it turns out, he'd been the one running late, but, yeah, whatever. "I am." He smiled, before suddenly realizing that he wasn't ready, not at all, "Actually, I still need you to tell me which position you'll be trying out for, so I make you focus on it a while longer," 'make you focus', because Cassie wouldn't have issues with 'focusing', right?

After what he'd seen on the first Yearbook meeting, it was rather likely that she'll stop chasing after a Bludger if James ever made an appearance by the Pitch.

And Sir Awesome played Quidditch, it was bound to happen.

Completely unaware of the feelings of either girl, Simon simply watched Selina as she climbed off his broom into the stands, noting her landing but glad when she was secure in her stance. "Dont think of what could have happened, just that eveything is alright and you're welcome," the captain said not wanting to think of it himself as he reiterated He then swung his left leg over and disembarked himself, taking his broom in his hand and walking across the seats to join the others still concerned with Kurumi as well.

Apparently in Kurumi's eyes as she sat recovering, Simon himself was one of the endangered peoples, the seventh year watching and listening as her eyes widdened watching him and exclaiming her fear that he had joined Selina...going towards the light as she put it. "Relax Kurumi...I'm ok," he reassured her, nodding as the baker seemed to refocus.

"Yes thank Merlin. I would be quite sad if anything happened to either of you," Simon replied in agreement, admitting the truth. When he had in fact seen what had happened and the danger that existed, he hadn't thought just rushed over.

Kyle had no idea herself that Selina liked Simon she simply thought the blush was more that of embarrassment as that had always happened to her. She placed her broom on the stand, and looked over to Kurumi the girl looked so releaved that both Simon and Selina were alright.

"Hey Kurumi if you feel dizzy this could help" she smiled softly as she summoned a little potion she had made the year before. She had found it in an old dusty potions book and found it worked well after she had taken many spills herself. "I call it equilibrium - its just something I found in the library last term" she smiled.

C'mon it wasn't like she wouldn't make a potion that said it was to help with dizzyness. After all, she was a Ravenclaw who liked helping people out.

"I'm glad you and Sely are alright" she smiled softly after all she didn't know Kurumi all that well.

Selina walked over to Kyle and wrapped her big sister Ravenclaw in a hug. She had been so scared and could feel the strong facade she had put up to put Jacob in his place crumbling. Her eyes scanned for an exit while she hugged Kyle. She needed to get away and have a good cry. Why? Well near death had a funny effect on people.

She finally let go of Kyle and said, "I'm okay, thanks to Simon. If he hadn't been there you'd be washing up my... well I'm okay."

While she had been talking to Kyle, Simon had jumped off his broom and made a comment about if anything had happened to Selina or Kurumi. A blush crept up on her face and once more she repressed it. These twelve year old fantasies were nothing but distracting to Selina. Simon like Kyle, Kyle liked Simon. They both were seventeen and moving on with their lives. It was time that she realized that.

"I'm okay though, because you did get there in time and nothing did happen to us." It was then that Selina felt her throat close up. A shock wave flew down her spine. Kurumi was spinning toward a dangerous injury, but Selina was starring down at her death. She hung hopelessly out-of-control for the first time in her life and the thought of death frightened Selina. Yet in that moment she was willing to stop fighting... what did that say about her? She didn't want to even think about it.

She turned away from the three and wiped her eye. She needed to be strong now, no one cared about her weakness. Selina Skylar did not cry... although she wanted to.

Kyle hugged Selina back, she really loved hugs the hug made her think of wearing a FREE HUGS shirt on the first Hogsmeade weekend and see how many people hugged her. She would do that, hugs were nice, hugs were friendly.

When Selina said that if it wasn't for Simon, she felt her own little strong; but dramatically less strong facade begin to break. A small tear tried to escape. "No no no, don't say that! If it weren't for Simon - if he weren't here you know i would have risked my neck for you!" Kyle explained with a honest soft tone to her voice. She would save her, she would, she didn't want to lose a friend not now not ever.

When Selina turned away Kyle had a feeling she was trying to hide tears. Summoning her book bag, which was stock full of tissues - mainly for the off chance she tripped and needed to head to the hospital wing for a darn bloody nose but still, there were many little tissue packages.

"Sely, here" she offered her tone soft, discretely offering her the tissue. For all everyone else knew it could have been for anything blowing noses, bleeding noses, tears, allergies, wiping sweaty hands. Anything.

"Simon, she is right you should totally get house points for that," she remarked with a soft voice he had saved his house mates that deserved credit. "Maybe Sel and I can convice Jimmy to give you a nice 'special title' in the yearbook this term" she smiled happily. Then she realized, that even though Simon didn't know she was friends with Wilkes - well, even so he didn't know she liked him...so, that wouldn't be strange right? Being friends with a Ravenclaw heart breaker. Or more like yearbook buddies.

But he would know Wilkes as the Ravenclaw flirt...she blushed slightly out of nerves, and suddenly, regretfully looked back on that little blush hoping he didn't get the wrong idea. Deep down a little bit of her wanted to ask round-about questions to see what he thought of her but she wasn't like that. She wasn't like Stella.

A wild boar patronus suddenly appeared on the Practice Pitch.

"THE PITCH IS NOW OPEN FOR TEAM TRYOUTS ONLY. THE REST OF YOU LOT CAN WATCH FROM THE STANDS."

Yes, the wild boar sounded EXACTLY like Professor Vindictus.

Just as suddenly as it appeared, the patronus vanished.





OOC: The only posting allowed in this thread for the next week are those RPing watching the tryouts/arriving or leaving tryouts.

Kyle decided to head to the pitch early for tryouts why not watch every teams try outs and get a good feel of how she would be drilled for tryouts. She was already in good flying gear, her broom in hand she climbed to the stands and took a seat.

Yay, she was so excited for try outs her body seemed to vibrate with excitement she wanted to have tryouts now - you know, like this instance so she'd know if she made the team or not!

"I'm going for seeker and chaser too!"

Delighted that her roomie was going to be trying out for the same position as she was, Penny returned the *hi5*

Penny walked back onto the pitch, excitement bubbling in her stomach... looking around to see if Janice was coming too...

"Oh, I do hope I don't mess this up"....thinking to herself....then scolding herself "No Penny.....have confidence in your ability - if you fly right and play like you did in practice - you'll be great !!!"...

and with that she smiled and strode over the the other Hufflepuffs waiting to try-out...

Anxiously, Ginny made her way down to the Quidditch pitch to watch some tryouts.
She was so excited to practice tomorrow, but she was also extremely scared. What if the other students were way better at Quidditch than her? She knew she wasn't the best Quidditch player, but she knew she was good. Although that didn't justify the rock in the pit of her stomach as she settled into the stands, watching others fly gracefully.

When she heard the patronus speak with Vindictus' voice Isobel flew down to the ground and made her way to the stands. She wanted to watch the other team's practices before she had to lead her own. She chose a seat next to some young Huffies and looked to see if Oakey was going to watch or not. "Hi," she said to the puffs. "You trying out?"
