Mia couldn't help but chuckle at that. "You get used to them. It makes for some exciting classes." So long as they actually taught them something, she didn't care how crazy they were. Shaking her head at Ness, Mia placed Arnold back onto her shoulder. "Nah. I'm not the sporting type. Lack of coordination and I don't really like violence. Are you planning on trying out?" |

Turning back at Tayla, who now held out her wand, staring at it, she said, "Hell yeah! TEAM SHAW! WOOHOO!" She shouted, happily. He sure was scary, but he loved Team Shaw, so Zara liked him. He was crazy but nice, so there wasn't really a problem. "My day's fine. I was looking for someone actually. I haven't seem him yet." Then a frown appeared on her face. |

HE was wrong? Yeah right, no. Legend Chosen was never wrong. He knew what he was talking about and if he didn't he at least made up some garbage to make it sound like he did. But that was besides the point. He wasn't wrong. Legend's attention was taken off the girl before him when he felt something resting by his foot. Pluto. The fox lay his head tiredly on the seventh years feet as if informing him that he had eaten his share of food and thought that it was now time for a nap. The Gryffindor wanted to go to. Take off and maybe have a nap himself. But he felt like he owed Katie an explanation. He owed it to her because..well they had been friends for so long. He couldn't just take off. He still didn't just want their friendship to end. As he listened, Legend forced himself to show no emotion at all. So she had believed him? It was her hatred for Hazel which had caused this, and the fact that she still didn't fully trust him. No matter what she said, Legend still could not fully understand Katie's reasoning for their break up. If anything SHE had been the immature one because of her jealously. for Hazel and not trusting him. When Katie had said, maybe they were not mature enough for this she had meant herself. It was ironic, he had been the mature one. Katie hadn't been. Legend sighed. Vaguely aware that Katie was continuing on. Explaining herself. She had been upset, and she thought that he wouldn't have wanted her there because of the break up. It made sense. It really did. The seventh year looked up, his gaze set on Katie. "Listen- it's alright. Let's...let's just forget that this summer and Sixth year even happened." He smiled. "Let's just be friends again." Yes. It was better that way. Friends. Legend did not think it would be smart for them to start dating again. He couldn't handle the pain of breaking up again if Katie started to act all immature. "Oh, by the way, since we are friends again, where is my birthday present? I'm expecting something giant? I'm seventeen now you know. Of age and even more awesome than before." |

"I see everything differently, that everything is brighter, more beautiful and now because you're in it." Her hands were getting a bit cold and started rubbing her hands together to get the blood flowing again, "I wish you could know exactly what I'm feeling..." she paused enjoying the moment. |

Turning back to her friend, she asked. "Who are you looking for, Zara?" Waiting for her friend to answer, she stretched out her wand arm again and pointed it at the same leaf. "I know I can do this..." she thought to herself. "Wingardium leviosa!" And the leaf flew a few inches higher off the ground, then fell back down again. Tayla smiled. It was start. |
Quote:
"Me? Matt, uhh.." she said, struggling to remember what his last name was. What on earth was his last name?! Then she realized he'd never said it, and she'd never asked. Gee, what a friend Zara was. "I can't remember his last name. But he's about this tall," Zara said, as she showed Tayla. "He's got brownish black hair. Bangs this long, almost covering his eyes, that are really full of emotion. And always and always, he'd blush when you speak to him. You also see him hanging around usually with girls, which is ironic because he used to be freaked out by us girls, but all his friends are girls like me, Ella, Nika, and Nessie," she said, realizing she knew so much about Matt, except for the last name. Then she blinked, wondering how she'd known all of that. |

"O-on that leaf? Nonono," she waved her arms in front of her. Zara didn't want an exploding leaf in front of them once she's done with it. She knew too well than to try the spell. First years were supposed to fail at their first try, and second and third. Well, some succeed, for some unknown reasons. "I think I'll stick to being safe right here," she grinned awkwardly. "Maybe Nika can go and try?" she suggested, trying to avert the attention from her to Nika instead. Then she giggled as Tayla asked Nika where Matt was. Really, it wasn't that necessary, but Zara was glad. Tayla was so thoughtful. |

"Yeah I guess!" said Ness smiling. "Yeah I've never really played properly, but its a good way to get involved with the school, so I'm gonna give it a try!!" Nessie doubted she would make the team, though it was worth a try. |

"Of course I am," Helena stated, smiling. She just... couldn't believe she managed to forget about her ONLY owl. Poor Hades. Ah, and Viola didn't see him. But maybe it was better not to see him too soon. Becaaaaaause he was ugly at the moment. Growing his feathers and stuff like that. Oooh and of course shopping was fun. It was... like... in every girl's blood or something. Just like that weird muggle sport was for boys. You know, the boring one with a ball, where they weren't allowed to fly. And if they weren't allowed to fly... where was the fun in that? But... Helena couldn't understand ANY sport at all, anyway. |

When she brought up Fee he winced and crossed his arms across his chest as he started to walk slowly, hoping she'd follow him. "Yes it has." he mumbled to himself. Team Fealem was over, no matter how sad he was about it. The summer had really changed everything, it was clear that neither Fee, Emma, Chandler or Ellie had time for him anymore. He'd accepted it. Well, almost. He sighed and turned to her coming to a full stop. "You really want to know what's going on?" he asked, slightly doubtful. "Turns out, all the time I've been friends with Chandler and Ellie, she wanted him." he said. "All this time, she wanted my best friend." he muttered. Yup, the Three Musketeers were officially over. Done. Never more. He shook his head and shrugged. "At least I have some experience of that, huh?" he added with a bittersweet smile. His ex had also left him for his best friend. "You know, the really annoying thing though is that I think I actually had real feelings for that girl. I think I may have loved her. Heck, I still do." he admitted. His eyes flickered to hers again. "Cliff Note's version: I lost my best friend and my girlfriend on the same night. Fee is busy, she's with all her new "best friends" I didn't want to bug her. I've tried but I just..." he groaned a little to himself and frowned. Fee was busy, he tried reaching out to her but she didn't have time. "I didn't want to bug you with this." he explained. And that was all of it, why he had been so depressed the whole term, because the summer that should have been the best one in his life had turned out to be the worst one. In one night, he'd lost everything. And the only thing that had gotten him out of bed to attend classes was that perhaps then he'd be able to join the Quidditch team that year too. He was all alone, Quidditch was the only thing he had left and fortunately no one could take that from him. |

She was going to scream out of embarrassment, nervous, and shock. Today, was truly not her day. How had Hannah figured her out? Was she that - that translucent? She ran a hand through her hair, squirming slightly. She needed to talk to Caroline quickly, to vent, to do something so that she didn't do something stupid or crazy that would lose house points. Anger, thats what she felt and the need to rip her cousin's hair out. Why had she asked him that? Why had she made Divinations that much more awkward for her? Why on earth had she asked him if she and Kyle were dating? And not ask she'd just stated I didn't know you two weren't dating was she that - that bad at hiding her feelings? Even though her feelings were just starting and it wasn't more than a small crush right now not a hopeless feeling that she'd feel forever around him. She leaned against a tree, waiting for Caroline to show up once she did she'd be able to calmly talk a bit...well more so than earlier. |

After a long day in DADA and working his tail out on running, lifting and punching a punchbag, Jordan came to the pathaways before going to bed. Whenever he needed some time to himself, he went to the pathaways. It was probably his favorite place to visit besides the dorms. What made the day even better was that, it was his birthday. He was turning eleven years old. He hadn't received a letter from his uncle, but he was soon expecting one. "I wonder how he is doing. I wonder how life is for him back in the muggle world and the Ministry." Muttered Jordan as he started to think about everything back home. This was the only moment he thought about everything back witrh his Uncle. He was truly, missing his only relatives, his Aunt and Uncle. |

He wanted them to forget about summer and Sixth year. She had been trying to forget about summer vacation since it had practically begun, and it was just now that she was starting to be able to put it past her. Or atleast, that's what she was telling herself. That she was past it, and what happened didn't matter anymore. Sixth year though? The Hufflepuff could agree. She could put on an act and lie for their friendship, but actually forgetting would be impossible. Katie didn't want to forget. Slowly, she nodded. "I'd like that." Katie murmured, a faint smile on her lips. It was all she could manage for the moment. At his words, the seventh year's smile grew a little bit and her dark eyes rolled toward the sky. Some things, they'd never change. Legend was one of those things. "Your birthday present is back at the castle, and if you want it now you'll have to come back with me." Katie announced, turning her gaze from emerald green eyes and down the path. Where was Nova? |

You know with - the whole idea that she knew later today she would have to find someone to ballroom dance with - brilliant thank you so much Lord Borr. She ran her hand through her hair as she sat down next to Caroline, hugging her knees as well. "I'm fine - except the whole embarrassed beyond the point of no return - a-and I never told Hannah" Kyle admitted sheepishly. What could Hannah read minds? That would be an important thing to know because she'd never think around her if she could. Nope never. "Oh did you hear about Defense against the dark arts?" She asked, with a chuckle. It seemed like zombie survival 101 - except the ballroom dancing...that was probably because they needed to ballroom dance for some big party mid term or something...a valentines ball or a ball for Lord Borr himself. |
Fo' Treyen. :) Ellie was feeling enormously guilty. Why she'd feel that way when it was Jacob deciding her fate was uncertain. She just didn't feel right. To her, she was waaaay out of practice, and until she felt like she had a summer's worth of flying in her, she was going to keep practicing. So, bag in one hand (she'd leave it somewhere in view once she'd gotten in the air), broom in the other, Ellie took one of the pathways down to the pitch. |
Quote:
At least he had Stryker in the grounds as well. They both had chocolate, and were cool. Zookara didn't have chocolate, he had ducks, and a very bad taste for topics to discuss at lessons, apparently. Yet his reason for visiting Vindictus had nothing to do with lessons, nor chocolate, even if he wanted a Chocolate Frog, it was Quidditch. And...a request. But, none of that now. His eyes were on the floor, as he walked up to the Castle, it was nearly impossible he'd see someone coming his way, which is why he almost collided with the person headed to the Pitch. Almost, but he wasn't even close. For some reason he'd managed to look up just in time, and a smile was given towards that not-too-stranger person in front of him, "I didn't know Ravenclaw was trying out today," he said, eying the broom. He was not wishing her good luck, by the way. |
Quote:
But he was first to talk, so Ellie had no choice but to answer first. "I was just gonna fly...before tryouts." Because she got nearly ZERO flying time in over the summer. And, yes, she will be kicking herself for that until tryouts are well over. "You alright," she asked, letting the tail of her broom drop to the ground with the handle resting against her shoulder. No need to rush down to the pitch...anymore. |
You crack me up. XD Quote:
*Ahem. Cough.* Then she managed to put on a serious face. "Nika, if you don't do it, your sister will pay the consequences." HAHAHAHAHA, Zara was all laughs inside of her and was trying to stop the smug slowly appearing on her face. To do so, her lips are now pursed, so no one could really tell. |
Quote:
And he'd practiced very little over the summer, too, which meant...he could use it. It still seemed rather odd that she was going there before tryouts, "Didn't you practice enough over the summer?" it was then that he realized he had no idea what her summer had been like, or...did she tell him? She did, didn't she? No, no, she didn't. He couldn't remember. Oh, that was awful. "Not that you need the practice, you'll do fine." Because she'd never practice for Seeker before, and the first time she had to fulfill James' position she'd been amazing. And him? Kaia had asked the same thing this morning, though. "Me? Yes, of course," he said, with a smile on his face, "Great, actually, since I found you," like, here, right now, "I was coming from Vindictus' office, but he's hasn't returned yet," he didn't need to add that last part, she only asked him if he was alright. "I...can walk with you, towards the Pitch, I have nothing else to do," and the badge was NOT pinned to his robes, it was in one of his pockets, he was taking some time off from Prefecting. |
Quote:
The girl lifted her head to see his smile, but whether it was genuine or not, she couldn't tell. She didn't really put much effort into trying to decipher it, either. If something wasn't alright, though, surely he'd tell her. Maybe. "Did you want me?" Obviously the conclusion she'd drawn from him doing 'great' since he 'found' her. She didn't really care about Vindictus, though, and didn't comment on why he'd gone to see him or anything. Ellie kept her distance from her head of house. When she could. She nodded at Treyen's offer, "Sure. If you want." |
Quote:
It's been a while since he's seen her around, but for some reason he didn't feel like discussing Quidditch now. But, then her question. Treyen had been trying to gain some distance from his favorite Ravenclaw until he got a couple things sorted out, especially since the episode with Dallin had proven to be a complete disaster...that didn't end as bad as he thought. But, in reality, he was always searching for her and always wanted to be around her, even when he messes up. He was looking down, though, before replying, "Always," and then looking up, with a small smile, "You're a favorite, and favorites are always wanted," he said, and added a chuckle, just to keep things...cool, right? The boy obviously nodded, as he gestured for the path he'd been walking from, and started to walk next to her, on the opposite side of the broom...wait, the broom..."I can take that for you, if you want." Not that brooms were heavy, but still, it was a nice offer, no? Bishop! He remembered what he forgot to tell Ellie during the feast, "I walked into Nolan over the summer, by the way," he said, eyes on the road ahead. |
Quote:
But his answer brought a smile to her face, though she tried to fight it back, she failed. "Is that so?" A favorite what, she didn't know. And why she'd be a favorite anything, she didn't know. But she liked it. Ellie contemplated this. Sure, it was nice of him to offer to carry her broom. But she also felt that hauling it down to the pitch, outside of tryouts and team practice, was another form of punishment. All summer she could've just taken it out of the shed in her garden, and mounted it right there. No carrying involved. But now she was forced to carry it down seven plus flights of stairs, and across the grounds. In the end, she decided that by letting Treyen carry it, she'd be conserving energy for the actual practice. A small amount, but necessary all the same. So, she handed the broom over to him. "Thank you." What did he say? GASP. "You saw Reyn?! Me tooo!" Mmm, yeah. All those Quidditch troubles were completely unimportant now. GRIN. Tell us, Treyen. Storytime. |
Quote:
So, he pretended to ignore the head shake, even if he wanted to say 'Don't worry' one more time. It doesn't matter anymore, he'd made her smile, Treyen should distract her from her Quidditch thoughts, then, it seemed way much better, because at least he could see the smile he liked so much. "Have you forgotten you're my favorite Ravenclaw?" he said, pretending to be completely hurt by the thought, "See? You take every opportunity you get to break my heart, Ellie," he was completely joking, of course, and it could be easily seen. Ellie will have no problem in catching his bluff, yes? You know, it was taking her too much time to give him an answer, and he was going to be careful with her broom, really, after all, he knew what it was like when someone oh-so-purposefully harms it, like Jake had done in the past. So, in all fairness, Ellie could trust him. And she did. She handed over her broom, which was gladly taken by Treyen, who carried it as if it was a feather, weightless it was, on the opposite side to the girl. His smile widened significantly when he learned that she'd seen him too, "I did, at the book shop in Diagon Alley," details? yes? "We talked for a little while," he nodded, eying the path before turning to look at Ellie, "Where did you meet him?" and what did the man tell Ellie? |
Quote:
And certainly not heartbreaking. "Treyen Lockhart, I would not break your heart." Though, she could think of one occasion where she might've. But that wasn't literally breaking his heart, was it? Mmmm...no. Ellie liked to think not. The bookshop? Heh. Reyn would SO be there. Weirdo. "In Wiseacres. By the crystal balls." That was an uber important factoid. Because, as much as a bookshop would be a likely place to find him, Crystal balls were SO Reyn. Moreso. |
why am I so evil to the boy? LOL. Quote:
This is what he got for being joking around with such a serious matter as a heartbreak. It was serious to him, and now that she said she wouldn't, well, it made one question in his head seem like it shouldn't be asked in the first place. Yet, there was no way of knowing the answer to the question unless it was, eventually, asked. And it will be, just, not after this. Ellie had probably managed to say the words that would allow Treyen not to speak his mind so freely. The boy still let out a chuckle, and shook his head, "I sincerely hope you don't do it again...," he said, because she'd done that before, though, one shouldn't consider it as a heartbreak, truth be told, Treyen was the one who'd said it was. But he had something else to add, "...Eliana." A playful wink went her way after he said her name, it was rather clever that he had her broom, or he'll be beaten with it just for saying her name, no? "That was for the 'Treyen Lockhart' part," her name, her name had been said thanks to that part, not for the heartbreak, of course. And he resisted the urge to stick his tongue out. Unbelievable! "What were you doing by the crystal balls?" which, by the way, were closely related to another 'heartbreak' incident, if not the only one. "Anyway, he told me he was doing great, which I believe was something you also witnessed," at least they knew the man was alive, and seemed happy enough, "And then we...discussed career paths." For who? He didn't say, but it was obvious that they'd been careers for Treyen. |

a broomstick beating totally crossed her mind, too. Quote:
Not cool, Treyen. The girl stopped walking beside him, stopped walking at all, and SCOWLED at him. Mhm. That was totally, completely, the meanest thing everrrrrr. And he was NOT getting away by winking. "That's not fair. Your name IS Treyen Lockhart." And as far as Ellie was concerned, her name was NOT Eliana. SCOWL. Ohhh and uhm the crystal balls, yeah. Uhm. "They were just there. By all means in my way from browsing useful things. ...Except Reyn was there, which made it all good." Mhm. He seemed to have been doing good. "Did you know that he and Ginger went to Italy for their honeymoon? They ate gelato." Nod. Nod. That was crucial. Ew. Career paths? Let Treyen and Reyn pick the most BORING topic in the world to talk about on their chance meeting after not seeing each other for over a year. Seriously. "Like what?" she wasn't entirely interested, but if it involved Reyn? She was like a SPONGE for information. Totally. |
Quote:
Oh. That couldn't be good, and this time he knew what he did wrong, since it was done on purpose. The grip on her broom tightened, in case she wanted to take that from his hands, and he turned to face her, they were only a couple feet away...he had obvious advantage if he decided to run for his life. Except, he didn't need to run, he was the one with the broom right now. The only thing he regretted from it all, was the fact that her smile was officially gone. Good one, Lockhart. "Not fair? I'd rather you call me Treyen, instead of Treyen Lockhart, even Trey, I don't care," Treyen Lockhart. Right. She was not his grandma. "And Eli-ana IS your name, never mind if you prefer 'Ellie' or not," ask Hadley, she knows. Still, the boy shouldn't keep proving himself right, yes? "I apologize, though, I know you don't like it," he said, in a very soft tone. At least he liked his name. So...that hadn't been fair. He was still standing, he wasn't walking if she wasn't, obviously, "Yeah, it sounded odd, you being around anything involving Divination." He pointed out, before frowning a little, "No, I didn't...we...didn't talk too much about Ginger," though, he only knew that Nolan had said they were doing okay or something like that, but that topic didn't interested much, hence why he failed to ask it. There was blushing happening on his behalf, though, because he remembered something, "We...haven't had gelato." Like, them, together. That was a major fail. It was the next question that had him looking away, he didn't like the uncertainty, "Eh, research, wands, Ministry," he made a face at the last one, even if he hadn't considered that last one, he still didn't feel sure about working there, "Potions, Divination, you know, the usual," yes, because 'wands' was usual. He still shrugged at the thought. After spending so many years reading about them and things related to them, they seemed fairly usual. |
Quote:
After all, she was the immature one. "Yeah? You really got me one? ALRIGHT! Cool! Let's go!" He shook his legs waking up the nearly sleeping fox on his feet. "Come on Pluto!" He said with a grin. "Katie's gonna give me a million Galleons." |
Quote:
"It's okay," she said, and continued walking. Just don't do it again, 'Trey'. Heh. "I think I'm gonna have to look into legally changing it." Yeah. Eliana was....ick. Mhm. THAT was understandable. "I wouldn't have gone anywhere nearer if HE wasn't there." And because HE WAS there, not much else mattered at the moment. She even dropped her camera. ...Well, it was in the bag, so it wouldn't have gotten hurt... And it didn't. "You didn't?" It seemed obvious to Ellie to talk about the reason he had abandoned them. Even if she didn't exactly hold a grudge against it anymore. "Did you talk about how he's working in the Ministry now? With the LORD Borr?" Awesome, yeah? She frowned at that. "We need to do that." She oh so desperately wanted some. And they had already planned on...making some, was it? That sounded really hard, though. Ellie just wanted to eat it. Ellie pulled a face as soon as 'research' left Treyen's mouth. Ick. Boring. And Ministry and Potions and Divination were just as bad. "Wands are cool." And a vital necessity to witches and wizards, as she tried to convey to Conan. "Did you go to that job fair my first term? There was a booth there about wandlore." It had fascinated her, and confused her very much. |
Quote:
That girl must be a mind reader than, if Kyle didn't tell her about Simon. "Really?" She really douted that she would have shared that with Hannah in the first place. Caroline would like to pretend that her and now Carter were the only ones who know that she likes Simon. But she wasn't sure if anyone else knew or not. "How did she know?" Maybe Kyle knew something that she didn't about Hannah. What an assignment. Caroline wasn't trying to join the miltary. What was next? The house elves had to start making all healthy food? She exericsing and training that she did was only when she wanted to do it and for quidditch. But the ballroom dancing sounded fun. Swimming in the lake, she didn't think that would happen. "I know what you do think about that? We should do somethings together." Not the ballroom dancing that would be something that they could do with their Gryffindor boys. The mental picture in her head made her giggle. |

"Honestly I have no idea - maybe I was obvious...maybe she read my diary...maybe I did a bout of sleep talking this summer and she over heard me" Kyle offered a few bizarre ideas the most probably the dairy. Even though it wasn't really a diary or a juicily pathetic hand written book filled with personal details...it was more like a book of weird ideas - thoughts, and one thought mentioning that he was nice. Yeah, that was a mistake. Note to self, hex journal so people I don't want reading it lose all hair...or something equally as embarrassing? "I don't really know what to think about it myself, but I've already meditated a bit this week...you know more as a way to calm myself for try outs so I don't scream from fear and nerves" she expressed with a sheepish smile. She was nervous about it, especially since she hadn't done anything all that 'sporty' at Hogwarts so far. "Mmmm yeah that sounds like a fun idea - we could stretch or touch out toes while talking?" She offered as she changed her position - crossing her legs into a pretzel formation. She looked silly, but it worked, and it didn't hurt as much right now. No twigs were poking her back anymore this way. "If you want I can help you with anything," she offered with a smile. |

WHA? "Zara. This is no laughing matter!" She looked at the firstie who seemed to be "humored" by the urgent situation. Nika didn't know how else to convey the message to Zara. She grabbed onto her fellow Gryffindor's shoulder and began to shake her back and forth softly. "Zara snap out of it! You're not evil I know your not! You're only brainwashed." She looked into her eyes for a hint of the "real Zara". "Zara I know you're in there somewhere. Behind the brainwashed evil army minion you're there I know it!" She looked at Zara a bit appalled that she was threatening Nika with her sister. "What? Zara no! You know how much she means to me!" Nika was starting to freak out a bit. But things weren't that bad were they? "Okay, 1. Chainsaw Army is real 2. Zara is on chainsaw army 3. Chainsaw army leader is the "chainshaw" himself 4. Chainsaw minions are brainwashed 5. They're recruiting people 6. They're recruiting ME!! 7. If I don't join they'll take my sister" She thought. Okay so maybe they were that bad. "Think Nika think... You've seen plenty of zombie taking over movies..." She started thinking out loud not aware of what she was doing. At this point she was pacing back and forth with her hands on her head. "Oh no. In all of those Zombie movies someone's brain gets eaten right?" "What if they're planning to eat my brain?!" She turned back to Zara, "Please don't eat my brain!" |
Run...run...run...run...run...run...run...run..... .no more. The pathways had seemed like a nice place to start her running at first. The first year wore her black sweatpants, a green t-shirt and a black hoodie. Peyton HATED running, it was the hardest thing ever. She'd rather skip, that was excersize, too. Her legs ached and her lungs hurt. She wanted...no, NEEDED a broom, anything that would get her off her feet. She had started running with a nasty mood and cursing whomever was responsible for this torture, but she was still running. Did Sailor Moon ever give up when she faught? NO. So, she wasn't to give up either... ... "I...think...I'm going to DIE!" she wheezed. Nevermind Sailor Moon, Peyton was TIRED and all she wanted to do was take a warm shower and read her comic books along with a nice BIG bowl of ice cream. Now, that was perfection. This...THIS was torture! |

"You know, I don't think you should," he was looking straight ahead, "I kinda like it," he said, eying her from the corner of his eye. The former smile was still there, because what he said was true, he kind of liked her 'real' name. Maybe she'll end up liking it some day. But, yes, exactly, she wouldn't go near them, he knew that, no need to point it out. "No, I was far more interested in knowing what he was doing and such," he started to say, eyes still on the path, "Not on the girl," he was only interested in one, after all, and that wasn't Ginger. The Ministry, "Yes, and I warned him to keep a safe distance from the man," this time he eyed her, while nodding. Lord Borr, it was better to keep away from him. Yet the change in the conversation was received by a smile, a wide one, "We do, maybe the house-elves can make it for us...," or Kurumi, yes, he could convince Kurumi to do that. He was going to add 'after tryouts', but decided against it, no need to make her worry again. 'Wands are cool'. Try explaining that to Conan. "Yeah, I still don't know, probably won't end up doing any of that," and working with dragons was not a choice for his pretty face. Certainly not. And he vividly remembered the fair, and the Copernicus dude that was at the Wizarding University post. |
Anyone? (: Five miles. Five miles. We don't need to learn how to defend against Dark Arts, but we have to run five miles. Dallin was jogging. The homework said run, but there was no way that he could run for five miles straight - he was having a hard enough time just jogging. What was worse was that he didn't even know how much he'd already run. He kept his head up as he jogged down the path, feeling his shoes press into the dirt and wind brush cooly at his T-shirt. His breath came out in short huffs. He needed a pedometer that worked around here. |
Quote:
Oh. Wasn't Ginger a big part of what he was doing, though? She was his WIFE, after all. Giggle. "Why would you tell him that?" He was a LORD. Full of amazingness, obviously. SHE was jealous of Reyn. Sorta. Working in the Ministry was still unappealing, even if you got to meet the LORD Borr. "Do house elves know how to make gelato?" Were there house elves that came from Italy and specialized in it? Then again, Ellie always sang high praise of the house elves' food. She was sure they could make as good a gelato as any. But, yes, they'll have to go bother the little guys about it. Well, his conversation with Reyn didn't go very far, then, did it? "I don't see why you feel the need to know, anyway." Like why would he bother Reyn about career stuff? That was all in the distant, very far, future and uber boring. |

If she ever gave him permission to do so, he'll call her Eliana all the time, but that wasn't happening, he knew that much. It made him sort of wander if she had a second name... ...but he didn't ask for it. Like, seriously Ellie? Had she heard about Borr at all? "Arya met him last year, and I trust her judgement enough to say that he's not to be trusted," he paused before saying what was more important, "She didn't like the man at all." So, go on and ask Arya for the details, because he couldn't be bothered with those at the moment. What? "I actually don't know," he said, frowning at the thought, "But I could ask them, I think," the boy had never asked them anything in particular, it was Arya the one who frequented the Kitchens more than he did, even if he did spend a bit of time there thanks to Conan. Riiiight. Well, no, Treyen needed to know, but there was something else, probably more important, that he wanted to know as well, "Well, I have two years to figure it out, no? But I spoke to Hadley, and we decided to focus on the present," he informed her, rather proud of the fact that he chose the unthinkable Professor to ask that. Really, his relationship with Hadley wasn't precisely a very good one. They had their ups and downs. More downs than ups, of course. "Speaking of the present," yeah, this wasn't going to be easy, and he was already looking away from the pretty Ravenclaw next to him, "Do you...," he cleared his throat, and thought he was seriously going to faint as he heard the words he needed to say in his head, "...have a boyfriend, Ellie?" there, eyes on the ground as he kept on walking, but the eyes soon began to drift towards the broom next to him, he should fly away now. At least he wasn't blushing. |
Quote:
Hmm. Not to go against Arya's judgement...cuz Arya was REALLY nice and stuff, but.."But he's a LORD." Not just anyone got that title, right? "And he's Minister. He has to be fairly well liked." Nod. "You should do that. And then let me know what they say." And then, maybe, she'll FINALLY get to try some. Sooner than a trip to Italy would be, at least. "DO you? Do you really have to have it figured out by the time you graduate?" There were plenty of things that could be done right after graduation, before having to have the whole rest of your life planned out. "That sounds like a good idea." That was what Ellie usually did. All she ever planned were her summer vacations. Well, the last one turned out to be mostly a bummer...but others hadn't been too bad. And it was fun not knowing in the meantime. Right. Speaking of the present...what happened to their Reyn conversation? That was definitely a highlight of Ellie's summer and they BARELY touched upon -- Oh. Heh. Well. It probably took longer for Ellie to answer than she would have liked. But that was because her mind started to race. Honestly, the answer was 'no'. It was simple, really. But...was it LAME that she didn't? Surely, Treyen wouldn't think badly of her for being single, right? And it wasn't like she never had one...she just didn't at the moment. And that wasn't her fault either. She liked someone...she just wasn't gonna say anything. To them. And she only realized this summer that the feelings she had towards that someone was 'like'. She also wanted to question him. His motives. 'Why?' Why did he care? Why was he asking? Why couldn't her brain think like this in some useful circumstance? Like Arithmancy. Finally, she settled with, "No. No I don't." She wasn't going to ask him back. No. She felt weird enough as it was. |
Text Cut: Ellie. Didn't she say before that it wasn't because she didn't like the name? Clearly, her next statement suggested otherwise, because there was not ONE positive thing she could say about it. "I don't care, I still like it." There was a shrug somewhere along the way. She wasn't changing her mind, he wasn't changing his. Period. They could both agree to disagree. An eyebrow was raised. So, being a part of royalty (if Borr was actually part of any royalty) was all that mattered? He'd rather have a Minister-woman up there, but there was little he could do about it, right? "So?" that was all he had to say on the matter. Very articulate, he was. His eyes were back on Ellie, and he nodded in agreement. He'll ask, probably sooner than later. Maybe when he gets back to the Castle. So, soon. Then her question came, and he actually had no idea how to reply to that. Treyen was torn about it, on one hand he wanted to have part of his future figured out, on the other...he enjoyed when the unthinkable happened. Like Hadley, again. That had been nice. And was never planned. It took him a while to answer her, "Some part of it, yeah, that would be nice," not to have it ALL figured out, but at least pick three things he could do. As of right now, he could go either way. Literally too, he could turn to Hogwarts or keep heading towards the Pitch. His choice was an obvious one. His preference too. "It does, and it was all Hadley." Though, no, wait a minute, "Well, not entirely," since he laid down the bases of such an amazing idea, right? And then...she wasn't answering. Treyen just wanted to die right now. At this moment. Where was the Snargaluff when you needed it?! Ellie was NOT answering, and he couldn't even look at her. The broom felt so much heavier on his hand, and he was certain he'd stopped breathing a few steps ago. Or...he'd stopped breathing after he asked her such a dreaded question, yes, that was more precise. Probably. He was having trouble keeping track of time, and of the surroundings. Where exactly was he? And...where was he walking to? This had been a terrible idea. The question. And why was his heart racing so fast if he wasn't breathing? All he could hear were footsteps and he wasn't even sure they were his...because...was he walking? No. He'd stopped. At the same moment that Ellie answered him. Well, he really didn't know, he couldn't feel his legs. And now that he heard the 'No I don't' part, he wasn't sure he wanted THAT to be the answer. It was fairly simple. If Ellie had said 'Yes', then he obviously knew who boy she liked, if she liked any, but now...he didn't have the strength to ask something remotely similar. So... ...anyway...at least he knew he'd started to breathe again, the couple coughs told him so. "Okay." Yes, he didn't know what to say, but...oooh! Look at that! He was walking now, good. "Did you manage to get your picture safe to your Common Room?" he didn't notice, but his cheeks were completely red, that's probably why they felt so hot to his face, and he still wasn't looking Ellie's way. |
SPOILER!!: Treyen Meh. "Well, you can tell my parents that." Because, ultimately, they named her. She had no part in it. Obviously. Or she wouldn't have been named 'Eliana'. "So... Maybe that was just a bad day." And opinions shouldn't be made on single events, anyway, right? If that was true...she'd have HATED Spike for showing her Matilda when they first met. But she loved that kid. Ellie's lip found its way between her teeth for the first time in quite a while. "I'm sure a lot of people don't know what they're going to do. And many people probably change their minds." She didn't like talking about this. The future. No. And this silence was not good. Talk, Lockhart. Do it. 'Okay'? What was that, like, his approval or something? Then he changed the subject. Ellie, however, wasn't ready to move on. Should she point it out to him? Yes, yes she will, "You changed the subject." Mmmmm aaaaannnddd now what? "Why?" She wasn't asking why he changed the subject. She was asking why he asked the question in the first place. It was going to be asked anyway, the 'why'. She had just been giving him the chance to explain without being prompted. Right? Right. And he failed at that. And she stopped walking and turned to him. Easier to watch him that way. Easier to read expressions. Hopefully he'd stop too. |
Text Cut: Ellie. Riiiight. He could, and he will, just clearly, not right now. Treyen didn't even know their names, except that they must be Mr. and Mrs. Stone, right? That was VERY likely, since it was Ellie's last name. He still managed a smirk. "I will." But he probably wouldn't. Just think of how odd it would be for someone to write a letter (yes, because he was thinking of owls now) saying 'I like the name you gave your daughter', they would totally blink at the letter for quite some time. Oddness. Simple oddness. And she was still on Borr's good side without even meeting him, right? Well, the Hufflepuff Prefect (without a badge at the moment) shrugged and repeated the same response, "So?" he wasn't feeling like talking about Borr. He had no details to explain to her, that was on Arya. Plus, the man could have spies all over the place. Tsk, be quiet. He chuckled, and a smile made its way to his face for what seemed like a long time, "That has been the common reply," no one knew what they wanted to do, plenty of them had traveled, and many have changed their career paths over the years. No one seemed to be of much help, well, no, not really, they all have helped, he was just even more confused than before he started to ask around. But yes, the present, no? The present...he actually didn't want the present now, because his stomach was feeling weird, and he was having trouble keeping his breathing straight, but at least he was still breathing. Plus, it was too hot outside, or so he thought. WHAT?! He was looking forward to discussing the awesomeness of Nolan Reynolds when...she pointed out the one thing he didn't want her to. He didn't want to go back to the ONE topic that he most wanted to talk about but feared the most at the same time. Ellie. "Why?" he said, and he loosened his tie a little, rather nervously too because at first he'd tightened it, but yeah, it was loose now, good, "Because I wanted to talk about Nolan?" and they weren't walking anymore, AND she was looking at him. Like, directly at him. Was there any color beyond red in his cheeks? |
Quote:
"Sooo you can't assume he's bad. Or that you're not gonna like him." Or that Reyn's not gonna like him. Actually...she really didn't know. Now she just felt obligated to answer. He should stop asking her 'so'. Has it? Well, if that's the case, "Then you shouldn't stress, right?" Right. Ellie KNEW these things. The girl raised her eyebrows at him. "Seriously, are you alright?" That tie thing...that was not normal. She shook her head. "If you wanted to talk about Reyn, why'd you ask me about the picture?" He was contradicting himself. Being weird. Stoppit. |
Quote:
But stressing about the future was not what worried him, because he was already stressing over the present, which...he shouldn't be stressed about either. He'd made a deal with Arya, about enjoying everything to the fullest, no? And he was most likely stressing over things...that...well...this wasn't doing him any good, clearly. "You're right." A small smile went her way. What? Him? He was...NO, he was NOT alright. He needed the Healer, soon. "Yes," but he shook his head, "I mean, I will be, I just...it's too hot in here," yet he was outside, and it was October. Yes, he wanted to talk about Nolan, that's what he'd concluded from that visit with Bishop, when he remembered that he'd failed to inform Ellie--wait, what picture was she talking about? And...what? He frowned, "Wait...what was the last question I asked you?" lost, he was. Treyen couldn't even remember anything he said after she replied to HIS question. |
Quote:
And she was right about that too. Hah. His smile was a bonus. Ohhhkay. "You will be?" No. He was CLEARLY not alright. "It's not hot" It wasn't cold, either, though, "...out here." she added. If the Pitch wasn't sooo far away, he coulda sat at the stands. That would probably be good. Cuz he wasn't okay. Blink. Again, he WASN'T okay. He was the one with the good memory. "You asked me if I got the picture to the Common Room safely..." she said, very, very slowly. |
Quote:
Oh. He just noticed what he'd answer and that could only mean that he truly wasn't alright and Ellie knew it. GREAT. But maybe if he breathed a little, instead of speaking...yes, that was good...and, hey, wasn't there a rock some feet ahead of them? It was probably better that he didn't point things out in case it was only an illusion. He nodded. And then nodded again. The boy was trying very hard to focus on his breathing, and certainly looking away from Ellie had helped a lot with the heat situation. Breathing and looking away always made things better, no? He wanted a Chocolate Frog from Vindictus now, but the man wasn't in his office. Major failure. Treyen had asked...what now?! "I did?" clearly, he didn't remember, "But that's odd," why would he do that if he wanted to discuss something else? Actually, he'd managed to change topics anyway, the whole boyfriend thing completely forgotten now. WIN. He chuckle at the thought. It seemed like so much time had passed, and that was only minutes ago. |
Quote:
"You did." Nod. "Why's that so odd?" And...she was taking her broom back. He didn't look like he should be carrying...things. Or standing, really. "Sit, Treyen. Please." |
Quote:
Things were working out perfectly fine. Or not at all. "Because I don't remember I did, I only remember Nolan...and...," clearly, he didn't consider Borr as important, but that was no on his mind, "...some other question." But she was going for the broom! And he stopped her, "No, I said I'll carry it, and I will," plus, if he needed help walking towards the Pitch, then he could use it as a cane. Good thinking. Though, he should stop thinking, after all, it's what got him in this mess in the first place. "Sitting? No, I'm fine, really, we should...," his eyes were on the path, "...keep on walking?" or doing something other than standing. |
Quote:
|
Quote:
Ellie rolled her eyes. "Fine..." Could she, like, have a hand on it, though? Just in case? Or a hand on him in case he decided to keel over? "Are you sure?" Like really, for real, without a doubt, positive? |
Quote:
ACTUALLY, just thinking of the Gryffindor girl made him smile. "Good, glad the picture is doing fine." And he truly was, but it was hard to focus around Ellie now. And since he was still looking away, he had no problem with answering her inquire, "The one with the boyfriend," he said, with a nod, and closed his eyes to breathe again. Yes, he could breathe, he was alright. The other question? He wanted to say 'NO', but he just shrugged and took a couple steps forward, "Yes, I'm certain," he could still pass out underneath the Stands, no? |

Right. The one with the boyfriend. The girl was still superrr curious about that. Many questions buzzed around her head. Most of them starting with 'Why'. But, she'll just leave it alone. For now. Until he's sitting, at least. It seemed a touchy subject with him. For whatever reason. "Okay, then." So he could walk? That definitely looked like walking. Good. Ellie followed. They could totally walk slower now, though, yeah? "What did you want to say about Reyn, then?" Cuz that was just as interesting as the boyfriend debacle. |
Quote:
The boy smiled, but since his mind was playing tricks on him then he HAD to chuckle before answering, "I can't remember," like, literally, he couldn't remember. It must not have been something important, right? It probably wasn't, is not like they'd talk way too much. Just Bishop, careers, Nolan at the Ministry, Lord Borr... ...Borr. Treyen was reminded of something. "Have you found a dancing partner for the DADA assignment, by the way?" he asked, eyes on the pretty road ahead of them. He hoped she hadn't. And if it was Dallin, then, well, Dallin better watch it. "I can be yours, if you haven't," he said, shrugging a little, that reply had come way too natural to him now that all the nervousness was gone. He might as well redo his tie. |
Quote:
A smile came to Ellie's face at the mention of a dance partner. But, it soon turned into a small frown. "I don't know. You know Conan?" She was pretty sure he did. Unless there were multiple Conans...but she wasn't going to bother with that thought. "He owled me to do an assignment together." It was really cute, actually. "But I don't know what's going to happen..." It didn't seem like dancing would be possible with him...but that might be exactly what the boy had in mind. Who knew. "If we don't dance, I'd love to be your partner." Which was completely, honestly, true. So far, Treyen was her favorite dance partner. |

It was all her fault, anyway, she was the one that had caused all of this. His eyes were on Ellie now, just in time to see...a smile? A smile was always a good sign, no? But then..., "Conan?" he asked, frowning ever-so-slightly but failing to think on his favorite Hufflepuff. Conan had owled her? Yes, so, at this point, Treyen stopped listening to anything else Ellie said. Why? Because all he could hear was Kaia reminding him that if he did nothing to gain Ellie's attention, then someone else would. And it was already happening. Someone else had owled her, whoever this Conan was, and now HE was left with no dancing partner. Sure, he could ask Arya, but he wanted Ellie. And all because he didn't act sooner. His heart was racing again, but he was breathing perfectly well, and he was managing to walk, so, everything was fine, no? Good thing he never redid his tie. There was no time to waste, because sooner than later Conan was going to be dancing with Ellie, or even taking the girl out, and Treyen would be in the Castle, trying to make sure first years didn't get lost. Not fair. To him, at least. He failed to think. And just stopped in front of her, yes, no more walking for the moment, she should stop too, or it would be even more awkward. The fifth year Prefect wasn't looking down or away, he was looking at her, which made it all even worse for him, but still, it didn't matter. "Hogsmeade." He said, trying very hard to remember to breathe, "You and me." And he could feel his cheeks getting hotter and hotter by the second, but it made no difference, he'd already spoke, no? It was probably better if he rephrased. "I mean," he swallowed that tiny knot in his throat and continued, "Would you go to Hogsmeade with me when we're free to go there?" he wasn't breaking any rules and going to Hogsmeade before they were allowed a Hogsmeade weekend. "Like, just you and me?" he needed to clarify that, in case Dallin or Ivy wanted to tag along. |
Quote:
"Mhm." She nodded. "The little...Hufflepuff, I think?" Ellie even held her hand out to show just how little the Puff was. "He was on the ship and stuff." And definitely knew Treyen. And Treyen definitely knew him. Or, it seemed that way, at least. "It was cute. Seemed like he re-wrote it quite a few times before he sent it." There was a bunch of beginnings crossed out. "I couldn't say no." Cuz it was just SO cute. "We're meeting after dinner." Ellie was totally using Treyen's silence to talk. Explain. Yup. Oh, he stopped. But he didn't look not good, so.... No worries? She just looked at him. Because, she wasn't following, frankly. Hogsmeade was a town...village even. Right over there. And... Ohhh. Heh. Okay. Heh. Grin. "Yeah...sure." Sure she'd go. And, "Sure." Just them. She was totally fine with that. Glad, even. |

Looking at Nika, Zara had on a face that seemed to hold back laughter again. But she managed to break it into a smile, a weird smile. "Nika! Seriously, get a hold of yourself," she said as she chuckled once. "We're not building a chainsaw army. Seriously, chainsaws are old school. I'd rather join a missile army." Then she realized that Nika's head might think that there really is a missile army and the chainsaw army got worse. "Not that there really is a missile army," she quickly said, not wanting Nika to get into hysterics. "Well, what I'm saying here is that...there is no chainsaw army. But I wish there was." She added the last part quietly, as if speaking to herself only. "Sooo, chill, okay?" She reassured and did a thumbs up. |
Apologies for the delay... SPOILER!!: Evan and Bissy Taking her free hand, she took Bissy's and shook it. "Nice to meet you too. I'm well." she replied as she listened to the conversation they were having. So he was helping her practise, that brought back memories. "Oh you know I'm always game for a little football," she smirked up at him. "You sure you want to go up against us?" she teased slightly. "I've gotten a lot better since the last time you played against Ella and myself." Yes, it was three years ago, but it wasn't like she would have forgotten what he had once taught her. "I'm with Bissy. We just might surprise you." |
Quote:
So it was his Conan the one who had owled her? What? Why was his Conan owling Ellie?! And how have they met? Mmmhmm. It was...so unexpected. But, well, if it was his Conan, then he wouldn't ask Ellie out. Oh. And he pretty much did that because he thought Conan was someone else! Treyen nodded, but he wasn't sure what Ellie was talking about, he wasn't really listening, there was only one thing he was interested in finding out. And...was that a yes? Sure, his favorite smile was there, so, that could mean 'Yes'? He reminded himself to breathe once more, because reacting as he had before was not an option. 'Sure'. 'Sure'. "Like, on a date." Nod. There was no need for clarifications but he was still stuck in the same place and same thought. He didn't even listen to what she had to say about Conan, and some other time he'd be too interested in finding that out. Clearly, today was not the case. |
Simon looked around and when he was happy that no Professors was around he shouted. "WHO WANTS TO GO ON A 5 MILE RUN WITH ME?" Simon had decided he had to do this. "WE START HERE THEN WE CAN EITHER GO RUN IN THE CASTLE OR AROUND OUTSIDE THEN BACK HERE" Simon laughed. "It would just be like a mini marathon, he then saw Treyen talking to someone, maybe Treyen would run, though he wasn't sure because he was sure Treyen wouldn't want to be beaten in front of his friend, Simon wanted to say this was cruel making them go on a 5 mile run but he decided to hold his tounge well for now. |
SPOILER!!: Treyen Hehehehe. Lookit, now SHE was blushing. Merlin. "Okay, Treyen." He actually explained a lot more in that question than was said. First, was why he asked the boyfriend question, right? Because if he hadn't asked, but her answer had been different, and he still asked her to Hogsmeade...It would be, could be weird. Second...er, no. That was all Ellie had deduced. Still... GRIN. |

Hmm is Shaw making her say this!?! How can Nika be sure...? Nika sent Zara a questioning look before deciding to trust the ickle firstie. She'd just be on watch, just in case. :shifty: "Alright. I got it, no chainsaw army." Oh but are you sure Nika? "But it's a good theory. Who knows maybe shaw will start one up." And hopefully Zara wouldn't join. Hopefully they wouldn't ask Nika join. Hopefully they'd find other means than brainwashing. Hopefully. "You positive there's not one now though? Maybe we just don't know about it." Hmmm? |

Treyen also thought that his heart would stop racing as fast as it was currently doing, but that didn't happen either. It will. Eventually, no? Because he had tryouts to attend to. Actually, that was the least of his worries, because he just asked Ellie to go to Hogsmeade, no? AND WHAT ON EARTH WAS HE GOING TO DO IN HOGSMEADE?! This was equally terrifying as asking her out, even more. But he still had time to get ready for that, no? Right. Time. "Thanks," and why was he saying thanks for?! Treyen chuckled at his own stupidity and shook his head, "I mean, good." He smiled again. Yet, there was no possible word that could potentially describe how he was feeling at the moment, nor a proper reply for her answer. WAS THAT SIMON OVER THERE? SCREAMING? Blink. "We should probably get going, no?" after all, she still needed to head to the Pitch, and he was still holding her broom. So, WE, seemed to fit quite well. He breathed in relief, and his heart managed to get to a normal pace, or what appeared normal to him. "What were you telling me about Conan?" he could focus on other topics now. Before the real worrying began. |

They would need to girl talk about her issues later at another time. But right now Kyle was the one who need the friend to vent to. It was good to have Kyle around. So they could vent and talk to each about anything that was going on in their lives at the monemt. It was a shame that this was her Seventh year and they've became such great friends and they really only had this term to enjoy their friendship. "You keep a dairy?" she asked, if she found out by being nosey than, she would be really mad. Kyle was kind of obvious at times but not to the point to presume that they were in a relationship already. You know they hung out, talked and flirted...... some or alot. But that was were it ended as far as being obivous. As far as the talking in her sleep, if she did talk in her sleep and said something about Simon and their cousin happened to hear, well that would be some strange twist fate. Honestly She hadn't even started it. Meditation now that sounded like some they should do now. As did strentching and toe touches. She smiled "We can now if you want?" The Octoember ground was hard, and she wouldn't mind having a good excuse to start this assignment. Then Kyle asked her if she wanted help with anything. "I don't know, but I do know that I'm going to have to learn how to swim for that part of the assignment," |

Though, he was still being weird. And should probably stop. Soonish. Yeah, they probably should 'get going'. But, in all fairness, it was Treyen that had stopped walking. This trip to the Pitch was probably the longest ever. A record. Ellie'll blame it on Treyen. For being weird. And the longer it took to get there, the less time she had to practice. Which, was not what she'd planned. She planned on a lengthly session of pushing her broom to it's maximum agility. Dives and zig-zags and all types of stuff. Maybe a quick fly through the stands. To familiarize herself with them. Just in case a game ever led her in there again, she wanted to be prepared. Ugh, wasn't he listening? No matter, Ellie could totally re-tell it.
