A set of paths link the courtyard to various areas of the grounds. It’s nice to walk along either on your own or with a friend. The trees on either side of the path help to create a light atmosphere. So go on, take your time and soak up the fresh air, heaven knows students need it.

She decided to stop asking things as she waited for Heather to catch up with the answers. Nika closed her mouth with a giggle. Maybe it was better when she was quiet?
Heather could only giggle as the girl fussed and took the chocolate frog about and went asking questions rather quickly. She did not mind though, but she does have to answer each and every one of her questions patiently.
she took a deep breath and started. "I do...i have boxes full of them back at the dormitories and at home." she paused and continued for the next question. "My doll is...it's about half my size...my parents put a spell on it so when i tap it with my wand, it comes to life. Enchanted means...somewhat like to cast a spell over something."

Alice nodded her head as Lexi explained why it was that she had landed flat on her behind. The duel stance? Er...Alice vaguely remembered learning about that in a book that she read, but in all honesty Alice didn't really have much experience dueling.
Alice watched as Lexi demonstrated how you should stand. Moving her legs so that she was mimicking what Lexi was doing, Alice looked to Lexi for approval. "Is this right?" she asked with a little smile.
Learning all this defensive stuff was fun! It was definitely a shame that this wasn't what they were doing in DADA...

Cass walked down the pathways with both her hands stuffed inside her pockets and her eyes downcast, she was feeling particularly tired...maybe because it's so cold and all she wanted to do was to run back to the common room and sit next to the fire...but here she was, walking outside, attempting to do her DADA homework. ugh...
" Oh, you were busy with homework, yea sure" William teased Fee. " I bet that homework was Hugo" William laughed." Glad that you both are not be mad at me" William said to Fee. " You are right, they were not friends" William agreed with Fee. " The only one that confused me the most is Emma, Rex's "fake" sister brcause I swore we got along really well" William explained to Fee. " Do you think the homework is hard?" William asked Fee.
Fee just shook her head at Willy and laughed."No actually it would ahve been much more fun it that homework had been called Hugo",she said sticking her tongue out,"i actually did homework for classes."Oh wait Emma was involved too?Why would she do something like that?Her sis would never ignore someone."Maybe she was just busy and didnt notice you",the girl tried to console the little first year,"i am sure she didnt want to."Mmmhh..where classes and homework hard?!Actually yes but not all of it."Sometimes its kinda hard but dont worry about it",the Slytherin smiled, i am sure you'll do great."

Ness was too bussy stroking Puffles to notice somone walking over to her. When she looked up to see Fee she got quite a big fright. She giggled and then smiled. "Hey Fee!! Im good! How about you?" she asked joyfully.

Or are they the normal, I mean muggle kind?" She asked Heather curiously. "That's so cool! I wish I had enchanted doll! But it's okay because my bunny is just fine without magic anyways. His name is Bun-Bun." She said with a smile. "Sorry about asking so many questions." She said with a sheepish grin. Nika wasn't sure whether to keep asking more or just stop talking. A lot of people she had talked to before had preferred Nika to talk, but she wanted to know some more about Heather. Besides throughout this little conversation she's been throwing out little random pieces about herself.

Ad looked at the girl and sighed. Errr? Really? She nodded. "I know that" she said, looking down. It wasn't easy. "I've tried. But they're too busy screaming at each other, I'm being ignored. Second half of the summer, I spent it with my face in my pillow at my godsister's house, crying my eyes out. Both my mother and Jake, my stepfather are famous artists. We'd move around a lot" she explained. She knew her mother had painted at least one portrait in this school. "My mother wants me to stay home at the wildlife preserve I inherited, because I have too many people here, like her, Ren'Ai, my godsister, my boyfriend, and his family love me, and I can't remember anything from France. I left France when I was two. I've been here since then" she said. Then her face fell and she turned away a little. "My biological father, my stepfather's identical twin, died of a disease when I was nine. And of course, to make my summer even crappier, I was diagnosed with the same disease. The Healers caught it early, though, unlike my father. But..."I could still die she finished in her mind. She might. And she definately wouldn't tell Justin that.

Orabelle was actually enjoying a walk around the Hogwarts grounds. Ugh. What was the world coming to? Her white earbuds were in her ears, snaking up from the iPod in her coat pocket as she listened to her favorite song. Glamorous. duh. It pretty much described her life... well... her life before Hogwarts that is. As she breathed in and out, white puffs of air escaped her lips. Winter was definitely her favorite season, all new and fresh. And with the cold reminding her it was only now before new beginnings really started. And it also reminded her that in a little while she would be back in France and ready for the glamorous life back in the Bellamonte Castle.
Not paying attention to her surroundings, Orabelle was too wrapped around her own world, she bumped into someone, causing one earbud to fall out and her to sigh in irritation. "Uhm like, next time watch where you're going," Orabelle said with a roll of her eyes. At least she hadn't fallen, then that would've been a disaster to her and her white coat.

Viola giggled. She really wished she had her wand. For scaring him. A little. “Of course, you were! You know, you’re being mean all the time.” NOOOOOOOOO! Why was he forcing her to sing? Now, that WAS mean. “I know that. Thank you very much.” She didn’t want a reminder. “I just don’t want to embarrass myself. Not in front of you. You’ll probably just tease me about it for the rest of my life.” She’d rather fail the assignment than have Jamie making fun of her.
Viola snorted. Interesting? Most of them were just absurd. She only liked a couple of films. What was that now? Oh yes. Lord of the Rings. Amazing movie. It was one of the very few muggle movies she actually liked. The others…were just weird. Like Twilight and Moon something..That was the sequel wasn’t it? Terrible. And, people actually went to the theatre to see such films. “Yeah. We will.” Although, she did sound a bit doubtful. What if he did hex her? Ugghhh. She didn’t want to think about that. “Exactly. Sparkly, ugly, stupid…” Yeah, the list goes on.
Huh? Did he just threaten her? “You know, I wasn’t MEAN!” Viola nearly yelled. “And, you should really stop calling me mean. I was just teasing you. There’s a huge difference!” Viola came to an abrupt halt. Her head was starting to ache. She pressed her fingers to her temples, taking deep breaths. He was being really difficult. She had actually starting to like him before he started getting all defensive. “Fine. I’ll agree.” Viola sighed. Whatever. Obviously, she didn’t agree but yeah.
“Yeah, it is. That’s the reason why I tease you all the time.” Viola closed her eyes and started meditating. She started to think of her lovely mother. Oh. “By the way, how long do we have to do this for?”
Not even one mile!? Rubbish! "Come onnn, we've done at least two." Look at them both! They were panting, sweating, dying... They had outdone themselves, okay? Was she SERIOUS?! "You said I was UGLY." And that was probably the worst thing you could ever say to Jamie Keaton. The guy was a heart throb. Well, okay... Viola hadn't actually said 'ugly', but at many times, she had implied it. Jamie rolled her eyes at her comment. Oh, Violaaaaaa.

That bloody HUG A SLYTHERIN DAY!?!?! Despite feeling like a complete loser, Jamie pushed that aside and smirked as she broke off the hug. "Don't you mean, 'hug a hottie day'?" If that were the case, Viola totally hugged a hottie. Bwahaha.
Jamie folded his arms, "was." He replied, like a little child would. He wondered when she would bring this up! "Yes, I did say that. But I still am a Slytherin." So whatever he might think of the people in the house, apparently he was just like them, too. Personality wise, that is. Basically, what he was saying was that HE could offend the house, but nobody else could. Especially Hufflepuffs.
"NOOOO. I am NOT mean!" He would not be fooled like this! He would not let Viola have any excuse for hexing him. The Slytherin rolled his eyes as she continued to refuse the singing. Gosh, it wasn't that bad! And why was she making him come across as some big judger? Jamie wasn't going to laugh at her! "I won't tease you! Who do you think I am?!" Well, he was a Slytherin, and it looked like he needed to prove himself further that he was a good guy. "How about we sing together?" He was a loud singer, so no one would probably hear Viola.
The boy nodded firmly and was glad that Viola agreed on the vampire travesty that muggles were so obsessed with lately. Merlin's Beard. There was a reason that muggles weren't to know about the wizarding world. They would go mad and write 'Hogwarts is awesome' on T-shirts or something. Shudder.
Jamie sighed, then pulled his hands away from his ears. Teasing, teasing... right. "Fine, okay." Maybe he was taking this all a bit too seriously. Or maybe, she was just terrified of getting hexed. Hehehe. "At least try to keep the teasing to a minimum, then." Because the third year was having trouble identifying whether she was being MEAN or not.
How looooooong? Errm, he tried to remember for a moment. Oh yea. "One hundred hours." He said simply, then continued with the humming.

Heather only smiled. The girl was really curious. it reminded her of how she is as well. "I have b-boxes full of muggle ones and boxes full of wizard photographs...just like the ones around the castle and the ones in the Daily Prophet." yep, she just arranged those before she left for Hogwarts. There were so many boxes.
then the girl mentioned about dolls. How cute. A pink bunny doll. "I'd love to meet bun-bun soon." she said, and she could also introduce her doll.
she shook her head no at Nika's statement. "No, it's all right...it's good to ask questions." she said with a sweet smile. "uhm...i hope you don't mind...since i noticed that you asked a lot of questions...i wanted to ask...if...uhm..." how could she put this without sounding rude? "were you...uhm...muggle-born?...D-don't take it the wrong way....i just noticed...you're really curious about magic stuff." she said timidly, hoping the younger girl was not offended.

Alice gave a firm little nod before turning herself towards the tree. She positioned herself so that she was in the proper dueling stance before she cleared her throat. Alright, here we go!
Alice gave her wand a flick before forcefully pulling it down the opposite direction while saying, "Histedius!" Alice watched as the green circle flew towards the tree, hitting it and sending more leaves falling to the ground. Alice was still standing and swung around to smile at Lexi.

"Nice to meet you, Dani." Cass said with a smile as she shook the girl's hand "Are you knew? I mean, just transferred this term?" She asked; because she was pretty sure she hasn't seen this girl around the castle last term
Then she waved her hand dismissively "No problem. It happens to most of us all the time."
Fallon had agreed to meet Simon out on the pathways. One: she needed to see how he was feeling after getting those burns. Two: Because it was snowing and Fallon just loved the snow. She was bundled up in her jacket with her scarf pulled around her neck and gloves on her fingers. She was as warm as she could possibly be in this weather. The snow was falling at a perfect pace and Fallon couldn't help but stick her tongue out to catch the stray flakes.
Ah ha! At least now she knew her memory wasn't failing her.
She dropped a book in her newly repared bag, and luckily it didn't rip again.
As she put her things back into her bag she sighed slightly at the question. Honestly things hadn't been great, but she didn't really want to bore her with the full story. "Things are... happening. Just family stuff. Other than that, fine. How are you?" she didn't look at her the whole time. She didn't want her to see how frustrated she was because of the family problems. "Nice bag." she commented causually, finally looking up at her. "Bet that dosn't rip like my tatty one." Well it had belonged to her sister. And she never took care of her things.
"Oh, I'm sorry," Something was obviously bothering Emily, so Samira didn't push the matter. Instead she gave Emily a small smile. "I'm fine, I guess. The Ministry is starting to really tick me off, though." Managing to just barely not roll her eyes, Samira huffed in annoyance as she thought of how they wouldn't be having a real DADA lesson since the Ministry insisted on the most ridiculous tasks. Swimming in the lake? Stretching? Really?!
When Emily complimented Samira's bag, the Slytherin beamed happily. "Thanks!" It meant a lot that Emily would compliment her, especially since Samira had been very uncertain about her new style. "I've been trying to jazz up my wardrobe a bit." A lot. Samira cocked her head to one side slightly. "I don't really think your bag is that tatty. I mean, it could use a little work, but what's magic for?" Samira smiled. "I'm sure you could put some kind of decoration on it, or a charm to help it not rip so easily." Fantasies of re-designing the bag floated through Samira's mind. Ever since summer, she's been obsessed with having a unique style, and would spend hours at a time mixing and matching clothes. Bags weren't so different, were they?

Simon was walking down too where he had promised Fallon he would meet her, he knew that she would be worried about what had happened in the Potion Storeroom and Simon had only just finished with the nurse, he wasn't happy that she had took his wand and put a curse on him so that he had to let her heal him he had just wanted to come out and see Fallon.
Simon smiled when he suddenly saw Fallon. "FALLON." Simon ran staight upto her nearly knocking them both over as he hugged her. "Fallon I was so scared, I wouldn't see you again and with the way our last meeting ended I was scared I wouldn't be able to make things right with you." Simon wasn't going to let Fallon go ever again.

"Fallon I was so scared, I wouldn't see you again and with the way our last meeting ended I was scared I wouldn't be able to make things right with you." Simon wasn't going to let Fallon go ever again.
Fallon was in the middle of catching snowflakes when she heard Simon shout her name. She had to regain her balance as he gave her a hug. She didn't know that he had so much force. "It's all right. I'm just glad that you're all right." And she was. She noticed that the young Hufflepuff wasn't going to let go of her anytime soon, so she wrapped her arms around him in a consoling hug. "How're you feeling?"
" I knew you would like that homework better" Wlliam teased Fee. " Yes, I have and am doing homework for my classes, too" Wiliam told Fee." No I am sure she would notice me since I was basically right next to Emma" William said to Fee. She had been Rex's " fake sister"and she knows I am his cousin R Willaim explained to Fee. " I am really hurt by Emma's ignoring me" William sighed and cried."Could you talk to Emma about this situation for me?' William asked Fee. " Well, some classes are hard, others are easy but I am doing allll my homework" Wiliam smiled.
"Dooont tease me",Fee giggled,"he wouldnt be like homework.Homework always has a bad aspect."Spending time with Hugo was more like relaxing and feeling out of the world transfered into another one.In a way better one.Mhhh Emma was right next to him?! Weeeell that was weird."Was there like a tall guy with light brownish and a bit red-ish hair?",the blonde asked wiggling her eyebrows.If so the girl knew why she didnt pay attention to aynthing else.Hehe."Of course i am going to talk to Emma about this",the third year nodded,"dont worry everything will be fine again."Ohh yea some classes were extra hard.For example Astronomy.Gaaah."Yeaahh but i am sure you doo amazing",the 14year old said,"i am not to motivated but i keep going."

Simon looked at Ronnie, she was like a big sister to him, one that would help him. "I'm fine." Simon lied he was still feeling shocked he'd never seen such a big fire before and he didn't want to see another one. "The fire it went bang as the potions exploded." Simon said truthfully. "And then the nurse forced me to stay at the Hospital Wing even though I wanted to come and see you."
