Lexi waved off her apologies and motioned for her to try again. "You are doing fine. I think my first flock attacked the professor or one of the students nearby. It happens."

Okay... there were the birds... there they went... YES!

Lexi clapped her hands together as the birds met their demise on the tree nearby. "Very good, Alice!" she exclaimed. "Oh don't give me that much credit. You are a talented young witch. You simply lack some confidence in your spellwork, is all. Having someone work with you one on one and give you encouragement is always easier than being in a crowded classroom setting with all that noise and chaos. Would you like to learn the Histedius spell now?" she asked as she stood up and brushed off the back of her pants.

Alice gave Lexi a modest smile while her cheeks flushed at the compliment. "Aww thanks Lexi. It really means a lot!"

The what-what curse? "Um...I'd love to, but what exactly does it do? Is it another conjuring spell?" Alice asked curiously.

"The Histedius Jinx is a variation of the knockback jinx. It will conjure green circles of light and when it hits the intended target not only will it knock the person over if cast correctly, but it will give a stinging sensation on the skin," she explained as she raised her wand.

"The wand movement is as such," she said as she began to demonstrate. She then flicked her wrist and then crossed over the other direction swiftly. "The incantation is Histedius," she went on.

"Now watch." Giving the proper wand movement this time she nonverbally cast the jinx and watched with satisfaction as the green circles erupted from her wand and went toward the tree.

"You say the incantation a few times and then practice the wand movement."

"Ooh...that sounds useful!" said Alice with a smile. She watched intently as Lexi demonstrated, making sure she observed the wand movement and the way that Lexis pronounced the curse. Alice took a step back as the green circles hit the tree nearby. "Wow!"

Figuring it was harder to get the wand motions down Alice practiced the motion a couple of times, making sure that she mimicked exactly what Lexi had done. Flick, cross. Flick, cross. Flick, cross. "Am I doing it right?" Alice asked Lexi.

Lexi smiled a bit as Alice was wowed by her spellwork. Really it was thanks to Truebs that she could even cast that particular spell. Mhm. GAH. She missed having him around to teach DADA.

Lowering her wand she watched Alice practice the movement several times and nodded her head. "Yeah, I think you have it worked out. Give it a go," she said as she stepped aside WAY out of the range of those green circles. She was not a fan of having that spell hit her, but for the sake of practice she planned to cast a shield and let Alice try to bend the jinx in a moment... once she had it worked out and all.

Nika skipped around and made her way to the pathways. This time she wasn't there to do any of her D.A.D.A homework or to hug slytherin for the Hug-A-Slytherin-Day-Competition. She was just there to relax and maybe talk to a friend or two. It had been a pretty tiring day so far and she just needed a break from all of the homework. It's like the professors don't know how busy their lives are outside of class. The DADA assignment alone was taking up most of her free time nowadays. She just needed a breather. So she went to the pathways and found a bench to sit on as she looked around resting her chin on her hand.

Skipping happily about, Heather arrived at the pathways, thinking maybe she could do a little jogging around to finish those 8 kms. She looked back at the castle, thinking, maybe she should not have left her panda doll back at the dormitories, but it was for disciplinary measures. The enchanted panda doll was hiding her stash of Chocolate frogs places behind her back.

she turned to the pathways, hesitant to start running, but she sighed. She must complete this, she vowed to finish the tasks at hand.

but as she was about to start to run, she tripped (her shoe laces happened to be untied) and fell in front of a bench that happened to be occupied by a girl looking like she was in deep thought. "EEP~!-OW..." the impact of the fall was hard and painful, she fell flat on her face and it hurt so much, Heather thought she was going to wail. She sat on the ground, massaging her nose, hoping it wouldn't bleed.

" I just have not swwn Peyton or you lately" Willaim told Fee. " I was hoping you and Peyton would not be mad at me for having a girlfriend, well ewpicially Peyton" William said to Fee." Some of the boys and girls I talked to, well mainly girls are ignoring me now" Willaim sighed. " I am not even firting with them" William laughed. Ok. a promise of us to be partners in classes, right?' William asked Fee.

" Look, you can call me William or Starr, i really do not mind at all" William told Tara." WEll, I play Quidditch and baseball now" William said to Tara. " When I get older, I will be playing football and learn how to wrestle professionally" William said to Tara. " My father retired fronm all those professional sports " William explained to Tara. " Hogwarts is cool and I am keeping up with my homework" William smiled. " So do you have a favoite professor?" William asked Tara.

" Thanks for saying I am a good company" Willaim told Georgiana." You are great company" William smiled." Well, I think I am good at knowing where girls and women get their looks" William said to Georgiana.
Running can be bad and I am glad you did not get hurt" William smiled again." We all do the best we can in classes" William agreed with Georgiana." Call me Liam or William" he told Georgiana." You really want to know about me?" William asked Georgiana.

Nika's eyes flew open as she heard a girl wail. She looked down in front of her and saw that a girl that she had seen before had fallen. She got off of the bench and when kneeled in front of the girl. "Oh my goodness! Are you alright?" She said not realizing that it may have been a stupid question. Of course she wasn't alright!? She looked like she was in some major pain. Nika knew how it felt because she too had fallen pretty badly several times before. Especially considering how clumsy she is. "Do you need me to get you anything?" She bit her lip as she looked at the girl. Ouchie.

Heather's eyes opened to see a familiar girl helping her out, asking if she was okay. It still hurt her face, but she was utterly embarrassed of what just happened, that it can't be distinguished if she was blushing or her face was red because of the impact it met with the ground. "I-I-I'm okay..." she said, trying to take a deep breath. Oh good, she wasn't having a nose-bleed. That's better. "...i guess...." she looked at the girl who then offered if she needed anything. She shook her head. "n-no, it's a-all right.....I'm o-okay now..I-I'll just sit down for a little while..."

Alice practiced the flick, cross movement a couple of times before she decided that she was ready to give it a go. Holding up her racquet and concentrating on the tree in front of her Alice cast the spell.

"Histedius!" Alice said while she flicked her wand, and jabbed it across.

At first it seemed like nothing had happened. Alice looked at her wand curiously, and just as she was about to bring her wand down to her side and turn to Lexi for guidance the green circles burst from Alice's wand with some much force that they knocked her flat on her bottom. Alice let out an omphf as she hit the ground, not even getting the chance to see her spell hit its intended target with so much force the leaves on the tree shook a little.

Looking over at Lexi whom she assumed had seen more clearly than her Alice asked, "Did it work?"

"You havent seen me lately?",Fee asked a little confused,"i was around.Just a little busy with all the homework."The teachers werent going easy on them this term.they got loads of homwrok.And the ministry ones were soooo weird.Weird and scary."Of course we arent mad we would never be",the blonde winked.Willy was wayyy to sweet to be mad at him.Some of his friends were ignoring him now?That was stupid."Dont worry about them they werent true friends then."

" Oh, you were busy with homework, yea sure" William teased Fee. " I bet that homework was Hugo" William laughed." Glad that you both are not be mad at me" William said to Fee. " You are right, they were not friends" William agreed with Fee. " The only one that confused me the most is Emma, Rex's "fake" sister brcause I swore we got along really well" William explained to Fee. " Do you think the homework is hard?" William asked Fee.

Lexi was about to shout at Alice to NEVER point her wand at herself for any reason when... there came the circles. Oh dear Merlin! Lexi flopped over on her side and flicked a shield into place JUST IN CASE and watched as the spell hit a few feet from her.

"Sweet mother of Merlin, Alice! Never point your wand at your face like that! You could have hit yourself with that spell," she said as she scrambled up from the ground.

"Are you alright? Have you hurt yourself?"

"I'm alright," Alice said, having a hard time getting to her feet. "Luckily I didn't tilt the point towards me or I would have nailed myself in the face with that spell!"

After a rough push off the ground Alice managed to be back on her feet, grass all over her butt and the back of her legs. She brushed it off, wondering if she would be able to get the stain off of her pants, before looking back at Lexi.

"Sorry Lexi. I just figured that there was such a delay that the spell hadn't worked," said Alice with an apologetic frown. "But hey, it looks like I managed to knock some leaves off of the tree!" said Alice with a sheepish grin, pointing towards the pile of loose leaves at the tree's trunk. "Why do you think it took so long to go? And why on earth did it knock me flat on my keester?"

Ad sighed. "My mother and stepfather divorced. There fighting over custody of me. My stepfather wants me to move back to France" she said, sliding down the wall and hugging her knees. "I don't wanna leave"

Evan listened to their girly exchange and shrugged to show it was fine. It was, unless it got too long. Luckily though, Bissy and Mina knew where to stop, so it didn't get too boring for him and didn't make him lose his appetite for a good match. He smiled at Mina's comment on his becoming a teacher. "True," he agreed with his girlfriend. He had only taught football so far, and had only agreed totouring Daichi, that was because he was fond of the kid, and no teaching more.

He followed Mina's actions, not really trying to stop her. He would let them score first. He ran with her as if to cut her shot, but he didn't even get close enough to disturb her; and he was actually impressed by her shot. She had worked out, or else she would have forgotten how to shoot so well. He watched helplessly as the ball got in from the corner of the post. He smiled at her. "Good shot," he said encouragingly. It really was... Then, he went to get the ball while they would retreat to their own half.

Nika nodded her head and offered the girl a hand to help her get up off the floor. She noticed the girl's stutter and couldn't tell if it was because she was in that much pain or if she was just embarrassed by the fall. "I'm Nika." She said trying to take the girl's mind off of the fall. Maybe that way the pain would lessen. "I think I've seen you around in the common room before, talking to Kurumi." She said smiling. "But I guess I've never really properly introduced myself."

As she was helped up, Heather felt tons better and thankful for the girl. well, at least her pain is dying down and she was able to catch the girl's name. "H-hi Nika. Nice to m-meet you" yes, very. Such a nice girl for helping her up. "Thanks so much...for that..." she giggled a bit. "I'm..Heather. I-i think i've seen you around too...I'm sorry i haven't talked to you until now."

Nika waved her hand in the air. "It was nothing to thank me for. Any decent person would have helped you." She said smiling at the girl. Thank goodness she was doing alright. Nika wasn't really sure what else she could've done for the girl if she was in serious pain. "Don't be sorry. I'm guilty of the same thing, but we're talking now and that's what counts I think." She said cheerfully. "Heather what year are you in? I'm in my second." She told the girl while holding up the number two with her fingers proudly. Not a ickle firstie anymore.

"kurumi's my best friend." she explained further as Nika went about, and Heather noticed that her nose was fine now and that the pain had gone away completely. She was then asked what year she was in, after Nika proudly mentioned that she was in her second (she giggled at the girl's outgoing and cheerful attitude.). She beamed. She should be proud as well of what year she was in despite her small height and baby looks. "I'm in my third." she answered, holding up three fingers.

"Oh that makes sense." She thought as she smiled at Heather. "No wonder I always see you around her!" She said nodding as she thought of the cookie making third year. "Kurumi is really nice. I've talked to her a couple times and we were potions partners twice last term." She explained. But Nika never gets the chance to talk to the girl anymore because she always seems to be busy talking to someone else.

Third year? Oh. Nika was way off with her guess of Heather's age. It's not like she didn't look like a third year or anything, but it was just that... Nika had never really seen her around before this term and there were so many new first years. "Heather why don't you tell me a bit more about yourself? Seeing as we haven't really talked before. You know it would be like making up for what we should've talked about before?" Did that make any sense? Well it did in Nika's head.

Heather nodded her head, agreeing to Nika's suggestion, but then she trakc backed. what was good to tell Nika about her?

"well...i like photography...and i have an enchanted panda doll...." Hmm..has Nika seen Mr. Panda before? the doll was usually with her and Kurumi. "oh, oh, i play the violin..." she added. "well...i do like chocolate a lot-Oh! i almost forgot..." she dug through her pockets. she knows she's put some chocolate frog in there somewhere...oh here it is! "Have one...Nika...i always have a stash with me...... and i make it a habit to share it with friends..."

Nika stayed silent while Heather talked a bit about herself. Nika staying quiet didn't happen very often either. Oh chocolate frog!? "Really? Thanks Heather! They're my favorite wizard treat!" She opened the little box hoping to get a cool card, but sadly. It was the same one that she got every other time. "I got Godric Gryffindor. I think I'm jinxed or something Heather! Every time I open one of these I get him." Even though many people had offered her other cards she refused. T'was her goal to get a different card on her own.

Even though Heather had finished talking Nika decided to comment. "Photography sounds really cool! Do you take a lot of pictures here at Hogwarts?" She asked raising an eyebrow. "Is your panda doll really enchanted?!" She asked sounding a bit amazed. "Erm Heather-- What does enchanted mean exactly?" Nika asked yet another question. Poor Heather, Nika just kept throwing the questions at her.

She decided to stop asking things as she waited for Heather to catch up with the answers. Nika closed her mouth with a giggle. Maybe it was better when she was quiet?

"I can't say I even know why there was a delay in the spell... I just don't know. Sometimes, though, when a cast is powerful it can knock the caster down. I have seen it with certain spells and jinxes actually. It's important to take the right stance as well as getting the wand movement and incantation. Do you know the proper dueling stance?" Lexi said as she got to her feet.

Not waiting for an answer she planted her feet just so and raised her wand. "See, this is what you should do. Plant your feet so that you can take any pressure thrown at you. See, if I were to cast a blowback jinx at you, if you were properly standing then there is a chance it may not knock you over."
