As you enter greenhouse two you find a peculiar scene. Instead of the regular long table with bags of dung and empty pots, you find that the long table is covered in a lovely purple tablecloth and the greenhouse is decorated with extravagant displays of flowers and creeping ivy. In addition to this new phenomenon there are platters of lovely floral cupcakes all along the table, each embellished with various edible flowers. Pots of tea with teacups are also positioned at intervals along the communal table.
Professor Bentley is found sitting on the corner of her desk at the front of the room munching on one of the sugary cupcakes. The black board beside her, displays the following instructions in neat cursive writing:

"What else?" mumbles Aiden partially groaning. The only idea she has is a barbaric way which is not a good idea after all. She realises that she is the youngest member of the group who does not act much of her age.
Arms crossed, the grey eyes wander around the greenhouse. Everyone else are discussing in their groups. Their voices overlap and makes some sort of noise. Aiden does not like noise which pretty much explains her behaviour today.
An idea just crossed her mind. However, Aiden is not confident with the effectiveness and decides to ask her teammates' opinions. "What do you think about observing what kind of creatures are attracted to the plants?" she suggests with a little confidence in her voice. That might not be a good idea after all.
"Definitely a good idea," Helena said with a grin, after she listened carefully to what Aiden had said. Even though... she'd never identify a plant by their ideas... but still. They could work for... professor Bentley maybe? Or anyone else who knew more beside telling which one is a rose and which one is a daisy.
Aaaand it also looked that the Gryffindor girl joined them as well. Yay. And her name was... Wisteria. According to Aiden's parchment. Hehe.
But the problem was that... Helena couldn't think of any other idea that might really work. Only stupid ideas like 'let's throw something at the plant and see what it does' ran through her mind at the moment.
Penny looked at William as he spoke and nodded.."no, I've no problem with Thea handing in the work", smiling at Thea... they all put in the work, it didn't much matter who handed it in.
As long as they had the required number of suggestions needed...
Me, neither" William told Penny. I enjoyed working with you, Ariella and Thea" William said to Penny.

Seren looked up from her teacup as Thea approached her with her groups work. "Ahh thank you dear," she said smiling taking the parchment and adding it to a pile of her stuff.. she'd have a look at it later when she was more focused. "If your all done you may be dismissed, though feel free to take another cupcake with you." Seren gave her a wink. Cupcakes always got her in a cheerful mood.

"You've read Narnia?!" Kurumi chirped nearly flinging her quill across the room in surprise. She had had to sneak reading the book under the sheets of her bed with a flashlight in her hand late at night when everyone else was asleep due to her mother banning any talk or books on magic being in the home. Funnily enough, the book had been a gift from her father and had given it to her with the disclaimer of it being their little secret. "I love those books!" But now wasn't the time to discuss literature. Perhaps at a later date?
Shaking her head to try and remove the desire to discuss books, Kurumi focused more on what Simon had suggested. "That is assuming that all talking animals know everything there is to know about plants. We are witches and wizards, but we don't know about every single form of magic," she said gently. "Perhaps we could ask Professor MacFusty is Lady Rosamund would be able to help. She is brilliant."
Kurumi giggled and had to cover her mouth to soften the sounds when she heard his next suggestion. "Just make up our own names for flowers and create our on set of Herbology guidelines?" She wasn't even going to write that one down, but it was hilarious. "While I am not sure I like the idea of digging up a plant after it has already been planted, it might be a good idea to place a Permanent Sticking Charm on the seed or bulb or something else in the before planting. You could use Accio label when you were unsure of what you were planted and then banish it back into the ground after."

"And I kept him on task," she added in a low whisper and a wink. Which had ended up being easier than she thought it was going to be.
Kurumi then returned to where Simon was waiting for her and she placed her Herbology book back in her bag and sipped on her tea that had grown cold during their discussion.

Enya took her quill in her fingers and roughly turned her parchment, she put quill to parchment and began to draw. Draw what she didn't know but she was bored. Very bored. She placed her chin in her hand as she drew more.
"You idea's stupid Louisa, Ministry Labs. Ha, dream on..." She said crawly not looking up from what looked liked a portrait of someone. She didn't care if she was hurting her friends feelings, she could deal with it. She'd dealt with worse from her, but she peeked nevertheless. Just in case. But Louisa was ignoring her. Oh mature. Real Mature.
Enya pulled back from the desk and glared at her BEST FRIENDS back, her quill sitting on her drying half finished drawing. "Oh ignore me, that's helpful!" She scoffed. Turning her page back over she jottered down the next ideas before going back to her drawing...

Louisa heard THAT! Her head snapped toward Enya and squeezed her eyes at her, "I'm not going to argue with you in class... and generally I don't want to drag Sierra into this stupid argument so.. I'LL FORGIVE YOU." She didn't say that she wouldn't shout though..
"Anyways, I think we're done with ideas." Nope she didn't think so, she just wanted to get away from Enya before they lose all the points Louisa had been collecting this term, "Let's go to Professor Bentley and give her the parchments," She said bossily and rather annoyed at ending this class this way. She was NEVER going to join Enya in a study group ever again.
Especially with new students around.
Her head raised too high, her parchment hugged to her chest, Louisa went to the Professor expecting the two other girls to follow. "We're done, Professor." She didn't put a smile on because SOMEONE INSULTED HER IDEA. Ahem. Wisteria gave a curtsied nod in appreciition for letting her join her group. She noticed the parchment and read it as she took her seat to the side of Aiden. She remained quiet studying the other students around her. What else could we add, she thought. Aiden seemed to be annoyed, not at me, she could have said no, was it the lack of ideas? she questioned herself. She looked at the parchment again, and spoke, "Your idea has a lot to say you can tell a lot by what plants are around depending on the creatures in the habitat. I think that goes hand-in-hand with climate as a separate ides..." she tapped her quill, movement makes helps her thinking.

She was glad that her suggestion had been put on the list, she'd only been sarcastic about it to cover up her outburst a moment ago. She meant, why hadn't any one thought of it before!? Sigh. Twiddling her quill between her fingers she sat through both her partners giving yet more suggestions. "Wouldn't that be boring?" She asked lazily looking at Sierra, who would want to observe a plant for god knows how long?
But then Louisa was going on about science yet again, "Do you ever shut up about science? this isn't the muggle world you know.." She shot at her friend, dropping her quill and turning to face her. Hello fight number...what number was it?

Sierra rolled her eyes but otherwise ignored the two Ravenclaws she'd been working with. Apparently, they mistook her for a Hufflepuff or something. It seemed like they thought she cared about what happened between them or that she'd just do all the work for them while they argued like idiots. Hmm..
With a smirk to herself, she copied down their replies, but then she added a few more of her own without saying anything aloud.

Well, on second thought, what if she didn't get the points for not sharing her replies? Bahhh. Only for the points, only for the points. She eyed one of the Ravenclaw girls. "Who cares if observation is boring?" she said, not really asking a question but more or less making a statement. "No one said identifying plants was a thrill ride." Honestly. These Ravenclaws should be in Gryffindor. They were both, at times, as annoying as one.
"Looks like the lesson is coming to a close," she commented. Thank Merlin. "I just added two more." She turned her parchment around. "We can take the environment into account, since some plants only grow in certain places, and then we can throw a twig at it to see if it attacks or something like Chinese Chomping Cabbage would..."

Oohh dear... group work gone wrong? Well not everyone was tollerable, ... sometimes... Hhmm.
Smiling, with an eyebrow slightly raised Seren took the parchment and added it to her pile. "Thank you dear... though all opinions matter, personal or scientific." Because obviously not everything could be learned through a book or through formulas. Human trial and error was always the best way to learn.

After collecting the students' group work, and watching them leave the greenhouse for the last time this term- minus the finals of course, Seren went about re-organising the greenhouse. Left of cupcakes were sent to her office, which she would enjoy later, and the remainding tea poured out. The plants would no doubt appreciate the tea, a nice calming alternative to water. Even they needed a little variety, no?
Once she was certain everything was set back in its rightful place, Seren took up her things in one arm and left the greenhouse, closing the door behind her.
Now she had some marking to do.
