Your mind dwells on the clues at hand as you wander down towards the lake. Why would this last clue lead you here? What could possibly be found?
Just around the bend, you catch a glimpse of something colorful. Curious, you dwell deeper through the trees now following the wonderful smell of vegetation and the sound of rushing water until suddenly you are cut short by the spectacular view before you.
There, hidden from the world is a beautiful tropical lagoon. Clear blue water laps up at the small beach, bordered by lush ferns and tall, swaying palm trees. Rocky easily climbable out-croppings frame the lagoon's clear water, punctuated by a gentle waterfall that slopes in such a way that your first mischievous thought is how it could easily be used as a "water slide."
As you get closer, you see algae covered tridents washed up on the shore along with what looks like scaled armor covered in barnacles. Here and there float sea shell brassieres, conch shell horns, and an old fishing net tangled among the rocks beside forgotten coral jewelry. Your mind hurries to connect the dots and it is then that you realize that this must be an abandoned merfolk dwelling of some sort.
Filled with interest you venture out of the vegetation, and give a start as you notice the head boy Finlay Carmicheal and head girl Iris Beaumont.
They smile at you in welcome.
Congratulations, for this is indeed the end of your search.
It was definitely a good thing she'd decided to save some cupcakes for Treyen, cause not long after she polished off her own did her bestie appear through the brush dressed for adventure.
Turning her attention away from the head girl, she watched the 'Claw prefect greet the students. Grin widening, she opened her arms juuuust in time to return the warm greeting. "Bout time you showed up!" She pulled back to show off her grin. "I was starting to worry you'd gotten lost." Hehe. Her eyes flicked up at the clear blue sky. "Mmhmm, I think it knows how hard we worked on this."
"Better late than never." Ivory quipped back with a grin as she gave a tug at a strand of her best friend's hair. Giving the space she'd just emerged from a hard stare, she looked back and forth shiftily between her friend and nature. "It wasn't my fault," she whispered dramatically with a meaningful glance to the trees. "They led me astray." They covered her view of the sun you see, so she couldn't very well see which way was north and all that jazz. "And I didn't take thaaaaat long." she laughed with a poke to her friends ticklish spot.
Her chin tilting up as her bright eyes too flicked up to the sky she nodded. "It most certainly does." Giving the sky, a solemn thankful little bow of her head she turned a happy go lucky smile back to her company. "So no rain dances, agreed?" Nope, those would have to wait for another day.

She'd had a small suspicion he might be one of the first to arrive. He'd solved the ridden quite quickly after all. "Sooooo...." she asked with playful sing song tone. "How do you like the X that marks the spot?" Laughing, she spread out her arms to encompass the awesomeness that was the lagoon.

"Totally worth making up the riddles too." she added with a playful glint in her eyes. Eyes widening at his question, the prefect laughed again this time a bit ruefully. "I wish, we just found it. This," she looked meaningfully to the lagoon and waterfall, "Was all nature's doing. Well, that and the merfolk's." It must have been quite the hang out spot for them back in the day. "We just made added the food and a bit of fun." Cue the excited look towards the rope swing and the luau buffet.
Pointing a thumb to the waterfall behind her, she looked at him with a bright smile. "Later, we should check out the cove behind the waterfall. There's fluorescent algae and everything. " With her, she meant. Was that obvious? Was it supposed to be? Did she want it to be? Hmm...she'd blame it on the heat and not on his shoulders. Wait, what? Where had that thought come from?
Her grin now a bit lopsided in thought, she grabbed her best friend's hand and pulled her forward. Change of subject before he refused, check. "By the way, Dallin this is Arya. The best friend I was talking about way back when." she began as she introduced the two. "And Arya, this is Dallin." Yup, new friends. Best ice breaker of them all.

"That's why I stayed close to the shore, can't get lost that way... least I don't think you can." She mused, eyes going to the path she'd taken. Arya supposed she could have gotten lost if she'd headed in the wrong direction. Giggling lightly, she twitched away from the poke and turned her attention back to Ivory. "Longer than me, though that's not saying much considering where you stay."
Arya nodded her head in agreement. "No rain dances, but we should..." Her voice trailed as her eyes were drawn to the boy that was in her friend's house. She'd planed on suggesting they'd go for a swim, but she supposed she could wait til her friend finished speaking with the boy.
Especially after the suggestion her friend had made to the boy. Her brow arched and a faint smirk appeared, but it only lasted a second before she was being pulled forward. Heh. She waggled her fingers at the boy and smiled. "Hey, Dallin. I probably haven't heard as much about you as you have about me, but I'm sure that can be fixed soon." Heh. She linked her arm with Ivy's. "So what year are you?"

Dallin smirked as he watched Ivory try to put her sunglasses like his. His eyebrows raised at what she said. They made up the riddles? Dang. He had a hard time solving them - he couldn't imagine actually making them up. He followed her gaze around the lagoon, his smirk replaced by a soft smile. What? He could appreciate beauty. And food, of course. "It's really cool. Seriously."
He turned his smile toward her at her suggestion. He turned to look at the waterfall again, as if he could see through it to the cove behind it. Fluorescent... algae? He nodded, looking back at her. "Sounds great!" Because who didn't fall to the lure of algae?
He blinked a bit in surprise at the sudden introduction to Ivory's friend. She had been mentioned before? Dallin bit his bottom lip, trying to remember back to the beginning of the term. It didn't ring a bell. But! That was okay, because Dal was good at covering up things that he'd forgotten. Like so.
"Hey," he said to her, moving his wrist in a wave. He just chuckled when she said something about not hearing about him. No comment. He half-smiled when the girls linked arms - they were sorta intimidating like that, huh? "Fifth," he replied, looking up from their arms to Arya's face.

Presley's already big purple eyes widened in surprise and wonder. This was so amazingly...magical! Wow. She listened to the sounds around her, and the head girl talking for a moment. Presley was indeed wearing her swimsuit, as she'd been er, swimming. She'd started out the hunt with everyone else, but given up with boredom halfway through. She'd been swimming in the lake when the tons of people had shown up, and Ariella had asked for a partner. Presley pulled off her outer clothing, leaving only her swimsuit on. She looked around again to verify that there were lots of people around in case something happened, and launched herself into a graceful dive into the mermaid lagoon.

Musing this fact as she thought about how much faster the way would've been if she wasn't in sandals, Ivory made her way through the Grounds and around the lake. As it was she already felt like she was a bit behind because she'd detoured to the lake to ensure the third task began without a glitch before going back to her common room to get her swim-gear, so it was no wonder that she was sort of running along on the last stretch of distance.
So much planning had gone into this event that the Ravenclaw prefect just wanted to get there and jump into the water already. She'd even packed her goggles and flippers in her beach bag in addition to a few surprises.
Nose twitching slightly at the smell of wet earth Ivy skipped forward, the rustling of the fronds announcing her arrival long before she approached the edge of the greenery. Reaching up a slim hand, she pushed her sunglasses off her eyes and poised them on her head as she waved happily at the people already there. "Hey guys!" she called out, even as she turned this way and that to admire the lagoon some more. Sure, they'd been here a few times to get the essentials ready but the amazing scene never failed to take her breath away.
"Arya!"Leaping forward to tackle her friend in a huge hug, she clapped her hands together excitedly. "Look, even the weather behaved." Moving to stand between the head boy and head girl, she moved her arms out to give them one armed hugs as well. "We did it guys! It's perfect!" And it was. It really was.
Iris looked away from Ayra as Ivy made her way over. She grinned and laughed at the Prefect's reaction to everything. She was nearly as giddy as the students! Oh, okay! Iris was being pulled into a one armed hug. That was cool. Laughing, Iris nodded in agreement. "Yeah... We did do it! Brilliantly, too!"
For everyone else:
Standing up straight, Iris looked around the students that were just STOOD there. How had they not dived into the water yet? Iris knew she would have done, and she's the Hydrophobic one! "Oi! You lot! When you're done with your gawping... Go and explore this place! Go have fun! That's why we lead you here!" Yeah... so she didn't talk all "Head Girl-y" ... She was too excited for the formalities!!
OOC: EVERYONE is free to RP here, now. It doesn't matter if you've finished the RPing at the lake/courtyard, or even if you didn't participate in the hunt at all. The point is, this is here for you all to have fun with... so do exactly that!
Conan bounded. Was bounded really the right word. Maybe it was just a casual stroll, more cool that way. Bounding was so eager. He casually strode into the lagoon. He eyed all the people with very little clothing on. What on earth!!! It was like winter, and cold. And definitely not the weather for swimming and swim clothes. Though he could happily sit on the sidelines, and check out watch all the other people doing it.
He nodded to himself, and pulled his robes closer. He tightened his scarf around his neck, and pulled his hat down to his eyes. He still wanted to see. But now he looked like he had created a makeshift burka out of his clothing. He took a seat on a deck chair, and began his people watching.

"Wooooaaaah~!" Daichi couldn't hold back his amazement when he saw the place. Truthfully he hadn't gotten the riddles that Evan and the head girl had given but that didn't matter. Daichi had, just like with the first riddle, stalked followed the students that claimed they knew the place and soon enough he found himself staring at the beautiful sight.
"This place is beautiful..." he said to no one in particular. The first year looked around, hoping to find someone that he knew but, just as luck was never with him.. he found only students he had seen before in classes but never talked to. He sighed as he walked towards the water. He sat down on the sand and dipped only his feet in the water, splashing them and making "weee~!" sounds. Hey he was still young...

Jonathan never liked spring but this is quite an exemption, really. It's really "beautiful" he murmured under his breathe. It really is.
He walked down to the shore and looked at the water. Hmm. What else is nice around here?

Daichi grinned mischieviously when he noticed Jonathan walking down the shore and looking at the water. Did he notice him? Daichi hoped not. The first year stopped splashing the water with his feet, and turned the other way so that Jonathan wouldn't see it was him. He waited..and waited until his "victim" was close enough and he stood up, dragging his hands through the water and...

Daichi splashed the water on Jonathan's clothes and laughed hysterically while pointing at him. "Gotcha!" he laughed and then quickly turned around to run away. No need to stay here for revenge O_o

Marilyn entered the lagoon area, curious as to what this place was all about. She'd heard about some kind of hunt...but because she was preoccupied with having a mental breakdown, the blonde was unable to attend.
She walked past a small group of people wearing bathing suits and grinned, grateful that she'd been thoughtful enough to wear hers under her clothing. It wasn't as flashy as the bikinis some girls were wearing...but it covered things...the gashes and scars from Marilyn's tortured years away had yet to fully heal...
...and they weren't something she wanted everyone to see. It was just...embarrassing.
She continued walking around, trying to spot someone familiar...

Just standing at where he was for a moment or so, Josh looked around to take in the beautiful sight. This was an awesome place and a great opportunity for him to do what he had been missing to do for quite a long time: SWIMMING!

Grinning widely, the boy started run towards the lagoon all in a sudden until he remembered something: Eh...he needed a swimwear, right? Hopefully, the Head Girl had just mentioned them. They had swimwears for everyone! Great!
So, running Iris' direction instead with excitement he started to dig into the trunk to get himself a fine a swimwear!!

Jonathan was quick enough to cover his face--- of course but the water that splashed through his clothes were reached. Who could have done such a ridiculous thing? He took out his wand and positioned it to the person who splashed him the bloody salty water.

Jonathan was still holding his wand on his other hand. Since Daichi wants to play with water, okay, Jonathan would love to play with him. "Aguamenti" he pointed his wand to the boy and water squirted out.
Oh and he almost forgot his manners "nice to meet you Daichi" he said teasing the little boy."How's it going?" a grin stuck unto his face.

Simon was kinda glad to be at the lagoon finally. It meant that for the most part the scavenger hunt had been a success and after all the hours and work that had been put into it that was a very good thing.
"Ah...now to enjoy the fruits of the efforts...." he mused with a smile and open arms looking around at the beautiful scene he had been expecting. The captain having no need of of Iris' announcement since he was already dressed in a t-shirt and swim trunks under his jeans to be prepared especially with the risk he might have fallen in himself helping the others.
"Gryffindor andRavenclaw group here or on their way," he said to the head girl as he approached her. The fellow seventh year feeling he should let her know as she watched everyone arrive.
Ariella bounded down to the lagoon. Her mouth dropped open in awe. It was absolutely gorgeous with the crystal clear water, soft sand, and beautiful trees. Being a big beach girl, Ariella was so excited.
She grabbed her wand and pointed it to herself, transfiguring her school uniform into a cute lagoonwear outfit. Ariella looked down at her bathing suit, thankful that the spell worked out okay.
Then, she stuck her toes in the water and gazed around at the beautiful sights around her.

"Yeah because I'm the one who started it." he laughed. Of course he was very sarcastic about that comment. After all, Jonathan loves teasing little Daichi. He's quite fond with this boy. When Jonathan graduates Daichi will always be missed.
Jonathan is a very OCD person, so looking at the water on his clothes made him a little bit uncomfortable. He doesn't really like it. To him, it's already messy when in fact it's just water. "Don't do it again next time" he said looking at his shirt and just looking back at Daichi.
"So how's it going so far? Summer vacation will be coming by soon. Are you going home to---" great. He has known Daichi for the whole term and yet he forgets where he lives. Does he lives in London or does he go back to Japan like Kurumi? He smiled the boy and tried to change the subject.
Awkward.
"Uhm. Isn't it a bit cold to go swimming yet?" well, to Jonathan Spring is not quite the ideal season to swim on the beach. But hey, maybe some people would like it. And is it safe to go into the water? it is after all abandoned.

When he said that the rest of his students were all well on their way, Iris smiled. Even better! Ahh... This place really was wonderful. It fascinated her how it'd managed to stay hidden for so long, too...
Walking away from Simon, Iris wandered over to the waters. It was so clear, and so blue. For a moment, she wondered if there were any underwater caves in the water. There HAD to be.... Then she sat down on a rock, and took her red boots off. She just left them there on the rock. Letting her legs dangle down into the water, Iris sighed. She really could spend forever here.
But forever here would be much better with Aaron... Where was he? The Slytherin/Hufflepuff task couldn't be taking THAT long, could it?
Fallon had finally made it to the end of the hunt. She stared in awe at the beautiful lagoon that was in front of her. She couldn't believe the prefects had found this place! It was simply amazing!
Fallon grinned widely as she spotted Finn and Iris. She ran over to the both of them. "This is simply amazing guys!" She noticed that some people were starting to put swim suits on. She would do that a bit later. Right now she was talking to her best friend...and her boyfriend.

Everyone seemed to be enjoying there selves so far. It was working out really well, and Finn was pretty pleased. All there work had worked out well. Finn kind of wanted the other people to get her now, so he could go have a swim. Maybe like he could sneak off, and let Iris do the greeting for now.
But. That went out of his head as he saw someone approaching. Fallon. Fiinlay smiled as she approached them, and he stepped forward, before Iris could, and hugged his girlfriend. "Isn't it?" He grinned, stepping away from Fallon, so Iris could have a hug too. See. He could share! "Did you enjoy the hunt?"

Oh, yay! Viola loved swimming! And, this lagoon was the perfect place to have a swim. She almost ran towards the girl's costumes trunk and rummaged through it, hoping to find a yellow swim suit. Yeah. Being a Hufflepuff and all. She kept digging through the piles of swimwear before she found a really pretty swim suit. A yellow one, at that. Yes!
Viola ran towards the changing tent and quickly changed, before she made her way to the lagoon. o_O She completely forgot about Salander and Caroline. She turned around and yelled, "Hey. C'mon guys!" before she started walking towards the shore. This was going to be AWESOME. Hopefully.

So, of course, she had found the whole thing a waste of time, but that was BEFORE she saw THIS place. This was definitely worth all the annoying and irritating moments...and certain people as well.
There was already a bunch of people here, but that wasn't really what caught her attention. This place was rather beautiful and...well now, she could sun tan out here rather nicely. Sorry lake, but you are being dumped for this lagoon. For when it got a little warmer of course. She wasn't so sure about the whole 'sun tanning' thing when it was still a bit chilly out. Besides, the lagoon had those...giant forks washed up on shore. What the heck were those things?

Excited wasn't even the word for it. When a tall brunette starts giggling and squealing as if there's not tomorrow, excited was definitely not the word for it! Hyper... maybe. Ecstatic... maybe. But whatever it was, the girl was so far beyond excited!
And maybe that's why Kita was standing there, mouth wide open, staring at the sight in front of her. It. Was. BEAUTIFUL! Everything was just... gorgeous!
And now she understood why she wasn't made a prefect. There was no way she could have planned and organised all of this! And prefects actually had to be somewhat sane and professional.
Letting out another squeal, Kita ran over to the trunks and started rummaging through it. Fishing out a nice pink number, she ran over to the tents and got changed. She was secretly glad that her hair was long enough to cover most of the top bit of her swimming suit. How she would have coped otherwise, she did not know.
Fastening the sarong around her hips, she walked out of the tent and looked around for a particular blonde haired girl she was meant to come to the lagoon with. Now... where was Dani...?
