She wasn't a 'kid' nor was she frowning, well even if she was there was no need for Miss 'Kid' to point it out. "Yes" she replied blandly and narrowing her eyes slightly "And don't call me a kid" she scowled until she caught attention of the shiny badge on her robes. Ooh that was absolutely perfect.

"I mean no" she changed her attitude slightly. "I have something very important to do and no one will help me" she replied with a hint of spitefulness in her voice. Not completely true but hey, Head Girl could be helpful for her plans. "I mean what IS It with the kids in this place? Do they not KNOW how to be nice to people" she asked. Yeah maybe it was the other way around but still.

"Do you think you could help me?" she asked battering her eyelashes innocently, a complete act of course.

She brushed a lock of her red hair out of her face, "Yeah one or my best friends, Elektra Draven, is a Slytherin. I'm also friends with Fee, Connor, Caroline, and a few other Slytherins. But um the rest of your house? Yeah they are not big fans of mine," Selina laughed.

Iris looked at the girl, plainly. Shrugging, she went to turn away. If the girl was okay, then Iris might as well just go back to her platter of sandwiches. "Oh, okay. Just asking, is all."

Girl changed her mind quick. Iris was impressed. Smirking, Iris cocked an eyebrow at the girl. She listened to her whining without saying anything, and sat down opposite her; still saying nothing. Iris wanted to hear everything the girl wanted to say before she butt into her talking.

Oh, because Iris had never pulled that one, before. Namely when trying to convince her mum to let her do something. Fiddling with the spoon in front of her, Iris shrugged. "My help depends entirely on what it is you're trying to do." She commented simply, as if to say 'tell me what it is you need help with now before I agree with anything.'

Delilah frowned at her response but she wasn't about to argue. Unless of course the other wanted to argue. But the Head Girl badge was pretty impressive and well, even if she wouldn't care about getting into trouble any other time, the small brunette could certainly defend herself, she had important business to attend to and getting in trouble wouldn't be any help at all.

The other however seemed a little like her, certainly a snake there was no doubt about that and she seemed slightly interested in what the third year had to say. "Well.. I'm sure you've heard about the big cross on the fifth floor?" she asked, glancing up at the girl and then back down at the table. Oh she was good at the innocent act. "And the big ship in the Lake? I'm sure that means there's treasure around her somewhere but no one will help me find it" she pouted.

"But you're supposed to help younger students like me right?" she asked battering her eyelashes. "So I was wandering if YOU would help me?" Yes that wasn't a question, the girl in her mind was ordering her to do it but that didn't seem too polite to say out loud.

Reeeaaally hungry, actually. He felt like he hadn't had any food in centuries. CENTURIES.
So he needed some NOW.

Which is why he quickly shuffled over to the Slytherin table and only sat down when he saw the chicken. Also, he was hoping he'd find cupcakes soon. If not, he'd have to go down to the kitchen himself later.

He grabbed a chicken leg and pretty much devoured the whole thing rather unattractively. He didn't really care though, he never did. Besides, like he said, he is hungry. Very, very hungry.

What would it be like if he mixed cupcakes and chicken?

"We can try," Helena said with a shrug, glancing at her Arithmancy textbook that was still there on the table. Well... she wasn't that bad, but she didn't quite know what to do without her textbook or professor Hadley. And STILL, it was all messed up in her head.

"I'll help you anytime you want," the girl smiled, "if I can," she added quickly with a tiny grin. She was not even close to being perfect, after all.

Desmond smiled. He was told he had on of the most dazzling smiles. And he could use it to his advantage sometimes. "Well I happen to think my huse is great. Sure.. they arent the brightest crayons in the box sometimes but we get our job done right." he said matter of factly.

"But good for you. Having friends with Slytherins. Thats the way it should be."

Selina was a little confused as to why he was smiling so brightly. It was a little distracting truth be told, but he did have a nice smile. So she didn't mind so much, of course she did hesitate to tell him that if he smiled any broader a fly would splatter all over his teeth. She didn't though.

"Yeah I have nothing wrong with your house per say. Like I said before some of my best friends are in this house. But they really don't like me. Lion and all if you know what I mean."

Selina nodded as he answered her questions. He was blunt and to the point. She didn't know if it was a good thing or a bad thing, but she would take it. Besides he was not the only person she knew who wasn't much of one to answer questions directly so she would leave it alone. If he didn't want to tell her she wouldn't beg for answers. His whole mystery thing was not working on Selina, she was too relaxed of a personality to care.

"That's cool," she said reaching down to grab her Divination textbook out of her bag. If she had missed her day with Elektra she might as well make the most of it and, well, she had been avoiding Bishop's homework for the past three days.

Macy slid in through the door and made her way to the Slytherin house table.

Really, she was rather professional looking. She had a pencil tucked behind her ear, and a solid back skirt, and a notebook in her hands. And if it weren't for the ratty old converse she might have looked like she worked for the Daily Prophet... *SNORT* Yeah. Her. Working. Riiiiight.

Really, she wasn't even in here because she was hungry. No, she just needed a victim. Heh. She was in the mood to be crazy, and she'd just spotted her perfect candidate.

Walking professionally over to the hungry guy at the table, she took the seat across from him and stared with wide eyes. Hehehe. Be best to scare him first. After several long seconds of that, she flipped open her notebook and held it in one hand, pencil in the other, and returned to staring.

He genuinely did not notice her for the first couple minutes. He was waaay too into his food to even spare a glance anywhere but his plate. But when his plate became empty and he needed to load up on something other than chicken, he looked up to see what else was around him and that's when he noticed her.

You would have thought he'd jump in his seat and be all startled.

That pretty much summed it all up so far. He seemed like an okay subject. He at least had the nerve to challenge her and stare back. This boy might be worth it.

Situating herself, the fourth year ignored the guy's question and instead launched into a question of her own. "How do you feel about panda bears? And what are your views on muggles keeping them captive in zoos?" Macy asked professionally. Really, on any other day of the week that would be the last word used to describe her. *FACEPALM*

Honestly, her intentions were to ask this guy a zillion random questions saying it was for a project and see how many he could take. Which really wasn't a whole lie, since she was technically taking part in a project. It just happened to be one she'd made up.

Granted. At this point she was rather shocked, only because the boy didn't know what a zoo was and was now sort of freaking her out. Crazy, doesn't know what a zoo is. This ought to be a productive morning at least.

PFFFT. Okay, so now she was INTERVIEWER GIRL.

Right.

Once again ignoring the boy's squeals, Macy asked another question. "How fit, would you say your current state of sanity is?" she asked seriously, poised to write. "And how fit might your mother or best friend say it is?" Because some people that thought they were sane actually weren't and vice versa.

Clearly this boy had some mental issues he needed to work out.

Macy nodded slowly, adding likes pandas and is well aware of what magic is to the list.

Granted. At this point she was rather shocked, only because the boy didn't know what a zoo was and was now sort of freaking her out. Crazy, doesn't know what a zoo is. This ought to be a productive morning at least.

PFFFT. Okay, so now she was INTERVIEWER GIRL.

Right.

Once again ignoring the boy's squeals, Macy asked another question. "How fit, would you say your current state of sanity is?" she asked seriously, poised to write. "And how fit might your mother or best friend say it is?" Because some people that thought they were sane actually weren't and vice versa.

Clearly this boy had some mental issues he needed to work out.

Exactly the right question and very, very, expected. He knew they were going to get to it eventually, he was just surprised at how soon. This girl was very blunt and to the point. He liked that. Grinning widely, he leaned back, satisfied.

"Well, I've been told by both my best friend and my mother - not to mention several others - that I am quite insane. I, of course, find that whatever 'insanity' I may have is what makes me awesome." He wondered if he had a quill and notebook on him. This whole interviewing thing seemed fun. Maybe he could come up with his own questions and join her on whatever project she was working on. "My father is the only one who reckons I'm sane. Except that I've also been told by many people, including my mother and best friend, that my father is just as insane, if not more, than I am."

He sat up straight once more, giving a non-commital shrug. "Like father, like son, I suppose."

He wondered if he'd be able to read the notes she was making about him. Probably not, but maybe he could sneak a peek at them somehow.
