Isabelle walked into the Great Hall and looked around amazed. The ceiling was amazing . It was so exciting to finally be here at last. She didn't understand how Jackie didn't like it here. She just got here and was already loving it. Finally she found the Slytherin table where she had been sorted and sat down, grabbing a biscut.
Thais walked purposefully over to the Slytherin table, holding her chin high. She was proud of where she'd ended up. Luckily the most bitter house rivalries were of the past, so there was nothing to worry about, really. She sat down in an empty seat and looked curiously at her fellow housemates who ranged from hyperactive to shy.
Plithsev looked at the Slytherin student. Plithsev remembered how she had been when she first ended up in Slytherin. This girl reminded her of her. Plithsev smiled at her and greeted her. "Hello. Are you a first or second year?"
Wow Slytherin! It was everything Jade could of wanted, and then some. The long table covered in green was just amazing. Feeling rather hungry, since she never got the chance to eat on the train. She ran slightly to the table, but tripped over nothing and fell. Letting out a loud, "UGH!" She got up hoping no one had seen and sat down at the table.
"Hi I'm Connor." "I didn't either till now, I was a Drumstrang transfer and had to be sorted too." He grinned as he replied to Lila. He leaned over and hugged his new little friend. "This is definitely going to be a cool year. I think I definitely got into the best house." He smiled at her. "I hope our common room is nice." He took another bite of his salad.
"Oh really? You didn't mention that." Lila said, grinning and hugging Connor back before pulling away and grabbing a roll of bread, and shoving half of it in her mouth. Table manner, shmable manners, she was hungry. "I don't know much about Durmstrang. I mean I grew up hearing every little thing about Hogwarts, but not so much other wizarding schools." She was glad that she had ended up in the same house as Connor, even though she had only known him for a couple of hours he almost seemed like the brother that she had never had and always wanted.
Plithsev jolted back to the present and sat up. 'What?" she asked, bit then she realized what had happened. At first she got annoyed at him,but then replied "Oh,sorry. I was thinking..."
"It's alright love, Just be careful please. You nearly gave me sparkly blue hair." He grinned and held out his hand. "I'm Connor." He introduced himself. All the ladies here were making his natural Veela charms go haywire and the area around him exuded scents of Cinnamon and Vanilla and it was not even desert time yet. He flashed his winning grin at her.

"You don't want to know what Drumstrang was like love. It was worse than being in a room filled with muggles and blast-ended skrewts." He frowned for a moment then looked back up with a half grin on his face as he took a bite of roasted potato.

Sierra gave a routine eye roll toward absolutely no one in particular. The Great Hall was just getting noisier by the second. The sound of some chattering person or possibly object grew louder and louder behind her. What in the name of Merlin?! With her eyebrows furrowed in slight annoyance, she turned around, hearing her name yelled quite loudly halfway through the spin.
Oh. Lulu Patterson. Well, Lulu was an obvious exception, as Sierra seemed to get along surprisingly well with the third year girl. She was loud, proud, and had a no-nonsense attitude about her similar to the one Sierra usually displayed. Plus, she was a proud Slytherin, which of course earned her enough brownie points to make up for the sound of her ferret making its grand appearance.
Sierra stood and moved to Lulu's end of the table, not because she was willingly obeying, though, but because the feast with Lulu was bound to be better than continuing to spend her time assessing the staff table. "Oh, hey, Lulu," she greeted. Oh, yes. Miss Greingoth could be very nice to a few certain people. She eyed Sir Robin, who she now knew to be the one responsible for the chattering sound she'd heard earlier. "Sir Robin will...," she said, continuing to eye the ferret, "...be less than pleased to meet Hissy Fit." She glanced down at the empty table, wishing there was at least a roll in front of her. "Well, anyway...how was your summer?"

He hadn't WANTED to face the fact that, with Sierra and Dad moving out, his whole world as he knew it was changing drastically. He wasn't used to a home with just one parent--let alone, one MOTHER. There was no MAN for him to look up to anymore!
Dressed in his Hufflepuff robes, he wandered over to the Slytherin table in search of his sister. He *GASP* missed her and just wanted to say hey and see how she was doing. He was even willing to go into the snake pit (quite literally!) in order to see her.
"Hey Sierra!" he called as he walked over to wear she sat. He plopped down on the empty bench next to her and smiled. "How's it going?"
Sierra immediately stiffened her body and widened her eyes. Whoever had just greeted her sounded overly-friendly, which likely meant a badger boy had escaped the confines of his own house table and wandered over to the snake pit. Michael White? Oh, please no. "Excuse me sir, could you please pass me the pudding," Isabelle said nicely to the young man who was sitting near her. He looked her age and it was worth a try trying to get friends here. That might have been dear Jackie's problem. She didn't seem like a big go get them sort of girl. Ahh that's why she didn't have many friends.

Finally!
Destiny didn't think they were ever going to let her off the train. It felt like it was the longest ride ever and it didn't help that Evelyn was there telling her what she could and couldn't eat. She was almost of age, she could eat whatever she wanted to!
Which was why she skipped through the Great Hall shoving chocolate frog after chocolate frog into her mouth. She didn't even care that eating the all would give her a MAJOR sugar rush spoil her dinner, she only cared that she was showing Evelyn that she was not going to listen to her.
Just because she had a problem with chocolate didn't mean the whole world had to!
Reaching the Slytherin table, she plopped down in an empty seat and glanced towards the Staff table, noticing the newly hired Professors.

Alex jumped a little bit when someone started SQUEALING nearby...what was it? Had someone let their pet rat loose in the Great Hall!? He turned around and saw...a girl. Just standing there. Waving. Not looking like she was being chased by a giant rat or anything.
"Ummm...hi. I'm Alex. I'm...not a Slytherin. I'm a Hufflepuff," he said, introducing himself with a little wave. He hadn't met ANY nice Slytherin girls yet, so why not try and be friendly with the one who DID seem pleasant? Chances were she wouldn't call him a Puffer Boy. Or a giant. Or you know, just be generally nasty towards him.

He wondered how she'd react to THAT one. He was hoping for a gasp of surprise, maybe even a fall out of the chair due to shock. Either one was cool with him.
"Then I just doodled a lot. Mostly flowers cause that's all I could find in the backyard. Besides bugs," SHUDDER. "How about you?" he asked. He was actually curious as to how her summer had been. Dad was Senior Undersecretary now...it had to be interesting living with THAT right?

Peyton's head shot up when she heard a very excited voice. More than hers, GASP. "Hi!" she greeted back with the same enthusiasm. "I'm Peyton Baltazar, first year." it was pretty obvious she was a Slytherin, what with the snake on her robe and her sitting on the snake's table.
OOOHHH!
She wanted to be friends. "Yay! That would be COOL." she smiled. That was easy...making friends.

"There's a ship?" Lila questioned, excitement flooding through her. How had she missed that? "Where? On the lake?" Obviously She thought to herself. She always had to ask dumb questions. "I wonder what that's about." Her father hadn't mentioned anything about the ship. "I wonder if it's "off limits"." She put air quotes around the last two words and raised her eyebrows mischieviously. If nothing else Lila Mairie was very, very good at breaking rules.
The 5th year girl sat awkwardly at the Slytherin table. Look to your right.... you see first years... look to your left and you see... more first years. OHMYGOSH. Where were the kids relatively around her age? Pshh it wasn't as if she disliked younger kids. Just... she wouldn't be sitting in class with them every day for the rest of the year.
Peyton craned her neck out to try and find the kid's her age. Ehh... some of them already had their friend 'posses'. No one just sitting by themselves with a bunch of kids. Ohhh she was lame. Majorly laaaaaaame. She turned to look at the noodles in front of her. Taking her fork, she put a big bite of the spaghetti into her mouth and did her best not to let the rest hang out.
Hah of course it DIIID. What was the point to eat it, without it hanging out of your mouth? That's why spaghetti was fun to eat.
At least now she could say... "I'M A SNAAAAKE. I'M A SLITHERY LITTLE SNAKE." Gigglesnort. As tempted as she was to yell it.. she would refrain.
LOLA WAS ALL HAPPY AND TRYING TO KEEP HER COOL--but it was just simply unbelievable. Jittery and hyper. All eyes on her. She clasped her hands, eying above at the wrinkly old hat (which she immediately wanted to befriend because it was just adorable) and she waited. There was no response whatsoever. And then it whispered something in her ears, sentences that made her cringe and her eyes just formed into a blank stare. "Who are you, Lola Jones?" She stopped her hyperness, but repeated the words in her head "HUFFLEPUFF, PLEASE MISTER SORTING HAT, SIR!" He paused.
"Very interesting. I could place you in Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff... but ahh--SLYTHERIN!"
"Sl--Slytherin?! SLYTHERIN?! SLITHER-INNNNN?!" She gasped, APPALLED at the words coming out from the hat's mouth. MY MY MY! Wasn't she going to be a Hufflepuff? But her words were not of shock, but out of excitement. EEEEP! SLYTHERIN! The house where people slither everywhere... so in Slytherin pride, the girl slyly slithered to her table, her body moving to the left and to the right as she slither-walked with pride, as if her body was waving all over the place in complete enthusiasm. Hmm did she befriend anyone from the house yet so far?
Well if she hadn't, it was a must to befriend someone. NO WAIT! That Sierra Greingoth girl! One of her bestest friends in the whole wide world (she probably felt the same to her) was in Slytherin! My my my she must have been so proud of her, yes?!
And I believe it was time to play... that one special person.
So, Lola Jones took out a tiny green wig from her robes, placing it on her head, as if it was a royal crown. Because it was. And an evil smirk escaped from her lips.

Evelyn was pretty much in a horrid mood the whole train ride to Hogwarts, but she managed to at least suppress most of those feelings. Barely. It would have been a lot better if she didn't have to watch Destiny all the time. Goodness, how much chocolate could one eat!?
Not to mention she had a new problem on her hands. Yea, she didn't like that problem very much either. AT ALL!
Arms crossed, the irritated girl entered the great hall, watching her she-snake friend skip towards the Slytherin table, and sit at some random spot...eating as much chocolate as her mouth and stomach would allow. Ohhhh she was going to find every hiding spot this year where her friend hid her chocolate. She WILL!

Taking a deep breath, Evelyn uncrossed her arms and ran her hands through her slightly wavy hair, following after Destiny, only to pause momentarily once she saw just who her friend was sitting nearby. No no no. That blond was definitely not Marie.
...
Sitting next to Destiny, Evelyn STARED at the others at the table, barely hearing what the girl had asked. Which probably could have been an accomplishment if she actually did miss what Destiny had said. "I dunno." she muttered, mind completely elsewhere...

Well, that certainly confirmed the 'see you in the common room' comment she had gotten earlier on the train ride. Oh this just won't do at all.

He likes shiny things? Well, so did Peyton and she didn't like sharing them. Her hands went up to her pierced ears and covered them with red hair. Hehe. He wouldn't get his paws or claws or whatever he had as hands on her pretty earrings.
Cute? Lulu raised a brow and kept it there while she rolled her eyes up to scrutinize her ferret. Cute wasn't a word she'd use to describe him. Kleptomaniac? Yes. Brute? Yes. Daft? That too. Problematic and a framer? Yes and yes.
"Oh, don't worry. He likes bigger shiny things like bracelets and things that make noise. He has plenty of those," chuckled Lulu pointing at the girl's earrings before correcting herself. "I gave all of them back," said Lulu seriously, blinking twice. "I rarely keep what he hides under my bed."
Only sometimes--if Robin's spoils were interesting enough.

Lulu managed to wrestle Sir Robin out of her hair and dropped him on her lap. Robin was displeased. He couldn't see anything from that position so he struggled to clamber onto the table, making a mess of the closest silverware. Lulu had moved her goblet of pumpkin juice fast enough to avoid a spilling. Three years of owning the clumsy ferret had thought her to think ahead. It had also given her a moderate amount of patience to deal with all sorts of individuals. It didn't keep her from losing her cool every once in a while. For example, there was an odd blond across the table from where she was sitting making a loud and awkward spectacle of her self.
"Talkin' Aboot?" asked Lulu loudly making a disbelieving face. She couldn't even get the name of her house right and she was a third year? In the same year as her and expecting to be best friends with the entire table? Was she mad wi' it? The lass had too many butterbeers while on the Hogwarts Express, clearly. "Oi, Minnie is it?" continued Patterson in her heavy Glaswegian accent. "Awrite, mate? Why don'tcha sit down, aye? Have some chicken," she pushed the plate Peyton had rejected in her direction. "Fill your stomach."
And mouth. And do not speak for five minutes until you're out of time-out.

Summer was awrite. I spent it in Greer Mackensie's pool. That and bombarding her brothers with water bombs. Pure dead brilliant that was!"
Then she was interrupted by the Puff Boy whom Sierra Greingoth called a brother. Lulu stared at him humorlessly, hoping he'd get a clue and push off back to his burrow.

Plithsev grinned back and shook his hand. 'I'm P..Plithsev." she stammered a little as she said it.
"Hello Plithsev. How are you today?" He asked softly. The girl looked like she could use a friend.

Connor passed her the Chocolate pudding. His own Cinnamon and Vanilla scents really strong ant the moment. "Hello I am Connor." He introduced himself to the quiet, but really pretty girl at the table. "And you are?"

"Not too much luv, not really. Can you fill me in? I know about the ghosts and the squid but not much else." He took a roll and buttered it before chewing thoughtfully.
Orabelle... could not believe it. She was in Slytherin. She was doomed to the dungeons and she was going to be miserable and her clothes would yell at her for mistreating them by keeping them in the damp... dirty... and ridiculous dungeons. She paid no attention to the enchanted ceiling, made to look like the night sky. Merlin, Orabelle wanted to be back at Beauxbatons. She looked around her, there was... so many people. She muttered under her breath and groaned again.
Orabelle couldn't even bring herself to eat. The dungeons. She couldn't believe it. The freaking dungeons. Well... at least... Caiden said they could hang out away from the dungeons. But uggggh. Why did Hogwarts have to have a dungeon where they let students sleep in?

"Not too much luv, not really. Can you fill me in? I know about the ghosts and the squid but not much else." He took a roll and buttered it before chewing thoughtfully.
"Isabelle Dupont," Isabelle said sweetly as she took a bit of pudding. "I'm an exchange here from Beauxbaton." She looked at him. He was a bit cute. In an odd sort of way.
Her eyes shifted, looking at a boy who had JUMPED. OMG. He was so silly. She laughed a bit, snorting even a bit. Of course, it wasn't that loud so people could actually HEAR it. Oh no, that wouldn't do. She had to look at least SLIGHTLY lady-like.
But she beamed at him anyway, swaying back in forth. The grin was still placed on her face, looking at him...well actually up at him. He was tall, way taller than her. Then again ANYONE was taller than her unless they were the ickle FIRSTIES. They didn't count though cause they were little firsties. She kept on beaming though, forgetting about her drifting thoughts in her head.
^____^
HE WAS SO NICE. She hadn't even heard him speak more than a sentence and she decided he was NICE. How awesome for him. GIGGLE."Haiiiii, Alex. Your a HUFFLEPUFF?"Her eyes flickered around the Great Hall now, looking at the other tables."That's like...the YELLOW house, right?"She eyed him now, FLAILING."Whyyyyy are you at the SLYTHERINININNIN TABLE IF YOU ARE YELLLLLLOW?"She questioned, raising a brow. She coughed a bit awkwardly, realizing she was making a scene. HMMPH. "I mean.... I don't MIND you sitting here, it's just a simple question, you know? "Surely he understood, right?"And for the record, I gots nothing against the yellow people, heck...I don't even KNOW that many yellow people so like PLEASEFORGIVEMEI'MNOTTRYINGTOBEMEAN."

OOOHHH!
SOMEONE ELSE WAS HAPPY TOO!
Minnie BOUNCED a bit. She liked happy people, yes happy people were better than sad people. Sad people were like....so...sad. She beamed at the other girl now, noticing she was a green person, not a yellow person like Alex. "OHMYGOSH. Your a FIRST YEAR?! That's soooo cute, I'm not a first year, you know this already..I'm a third year and...YOUR NAME IS PRETTY."She eyed the girl, her hair especially."AND I LIKE YOUR HAIR."She confirmed with a nod.
....She wanted pretty red hair.

And an evil smirk escaped from her lips.
......She also wanted green hair too which explained why her eyed LANDED on a girl with green hair. Minnie blinked and Minnie flailed and flailed HARD, mind you. She looked like a little bird trying to flap her wings THAT was how much flailing was occurring.she didn't know it was a wig obviously
"OHHHHMYGOSHHH. Your hair, it's GWEEN. I like your hair, CAN I HAVE IT?!"She asked, wide eyes. She couldn't help all the questions and comments! They just sort of...SPRUNG OUT OF HER MOUTH."Can yooooou use the spell to color my hair green like yours? I'D BE SO HAPPY."
SHE WANTED GREEN HAIIIIIR.
She blinked a bit and stopped flailing, and just stared at the older girl.
"Oh....AND I'M MINNIE."

BLINKIE STARE.
She heard another voice, WHAT WAS WITH HER AND HEARING ALL THESE VOICES?! whaa: Perhaps it was cause people were actually talking to her? Oh yes, that had to be it. Minnie was now sure of that. Her head whipped around now, now looking in the face of a girl her age....she thought. She could have been an older looking firstie or EVEN a young looking older person. It was really hard to tell, especially in the crazy mind of Minnie. SO MANY CONFUSING THOUGHTS. It was hard to keep a good train of thought when your brain when all crazy which her's did...most of the time.
She scrunched her face up now, all confused."Huhhhhhh?"She questioned in a high pitched little voice."I dunno what yerr talkin' about."She said confusion still written all over her face."So...can you tell me wha...OHMYGOSH. IT'S A FUZZY THING!"Minnie said while POINTING at the FUZZY thing. She wanted to pet it and squish it and cuddle it and steal it and make it her own. Of course, that would be MEAN to just steal someone's fuzzy thing so she wasn't going to do it. She was going to pet it though, and squish it and cuddle it. Pshhh, forget making FRIENDS. She would be amused with the fuzzy animal.....which she didn't know what it was exactly. OH WELL.
She looked back at the girl's face now, innocent smile on her face. She nodded,"Welllll, YES. I suppose so, I go by that by my REAL name's Amelia but I don't LIKE that name soooooo I go by Minnie cause Minnie's prettier."She beamed, twirling a strand of her hair. Sit down? OH. "OH YEAH."She sat down now, in front of the girl talking the girl who's name she did NOT know."Shannnnnnnnnks...WHATS YOU NAME?!"She asked, before looking at the chicken and then the fuzzy thing again.
IT WAS SO CUTE. *________*
Oh yeah, chicken. She needed to eat the chicken...
"Yep and about as lost as ever both physically and mentally. So, any good eats?" she said, eyeing the food then her empty plate. "I'm Rain by the way. Yeah like the water from the sky...weird parents right!"
Peyton giggled and then looked at the table. She wasn't very hungry after all the sweets she had eaten. Ooph. "I actually had something to eat on the train, so I'm not hungry." she said, thinking of what her daddy would say if he found out that she had sweets before a meal.
Oops, hehe.
She had a pretty name too. "Nice to meet yah, Rain." she smiled. "That's a creative name." wait until she told her about how she got her name. "I was named after my dad, Peyton." well, it wasn't his first name, more like his middle name, but still, it was the shizz.

Peyton nodded her head quickly, "Yeah, my dad read something about it on the Daily Prophet." she explained. Who knew that something interesting could come out of reading a boring paper. "Yep, on the lake...outside." the girl smirked.
With shifty eyes, Peyton wondered if you would be able to have a look at it from one of the windows.
Apparently, Lila was thinking the same thing she had. "Me too." P giggled, sneakly. She wanted to see if there was treasure or any signs of mermaids in there. "I wonder if we'll be allowed to go to the late tomorrow." she said, the smirk widening. It wouldn't hurt to go have a look at it from the inside.

What?
It was cute. Truth, right there. Mmhmm.
Phew.
Peyton wasn't going to have wrestle Sir Robin for her pretty earrings. "Thanks for the heads up." yes, Peyton will be hiding all her jewellery and maybe even have Iris guard it. Many people were scared of her just because she was gecko. Haha, ignorant people.
Peyton raised and eyebrow. "You rarely keep what he steals?" the red head laughed. She had expected a I give everything back sort of thing.

O_O
Was it that obvious she was a first year? Probably, her height didn't help at all. That's why she needed learn how to wear heels...but that was for another day.
BLUSH.
She called her cute in front of everyone. Peyton wasn't that good with compliments, but she DID like them. "Thanks!" she beamed. Peyton was trying REALLY hard to keep up with Minnie. Lots of things being said, some compliments and yeah.
OOOHH!!!
She liked her hair! "Thanks, again!" she smiled, broadly. This chick was really nice. And hyper. And friendly. And, Peyton was keeping her. "I like your name too, it fits you perfectly." it really did.
Ahh finally!, Georgiana was here ready to eat. She had to wait hours to come here and a feast was waiting for her. As she made her way to the Great hall, she saw that this year there were more firsties...or was just her imagination? There was a quick flashback from last term, were she saw herself in the same position as the first years. The excitement of a first year to finally come here. Now her stomach was making that weird noise so she walked into the Great hall and saw the four long house tables, and there it was... the Slytherin table.
Georgiana took a seat and glanced around to see if there was any of her friends....nope. Oh..well she would have to meet new people then. The second year was starving and started eating.
"Isabelle Dupont," Isabelle said sweetly as she took a bit of pudding. "I'm an exchange here from Beauxbaton." She looked at him. He was a bit cute. In an odd sort of way.
"Hello Isabelle. My friend Danielle Dubios just transferred from Beauxbatons too. I think she's in our house." He reached over and took a bit of pudding himself. He smiled at her and then took a bite of the sweet stuff. "I've just transferred from Drumstrang myself."

Emma walked over to the tables and saw a familiar face. It was Orabelle- the girl she had briefly met at the Ice Cream place or was it the Leaky Cauldron? She couldn't remember. The blonde walked over and saw a seat open by Orabelle. "Hey Orabelle. Nice to see you again. Welcome to Slytherin." greeted Emma with a friendly nod. Then she noticed something didn't seem right about Orabelle- was the girl not eating?
"What's the matter? Upset about something. I can understand. My best friend left last year and her mother locked her away in America." she explained, shrugging.
