"You're Emerald, right?" asked Gavin to the girl who was sitting next to Alice. He had heard her introduce herself earlier. "I'm Gavin! Nice to meet you," he said, offering her his hand to shake. "Did you expect to be in Ravenclaw?" |

She didn't exactly feel 100 percent either. She was still very much MOPEY and just wanted today to be over. It would be one day closer to the Christmas holiday and right now, that was all the fourth year wanted. Sure, Ellie was moping, but that didn't mean she was in the mood to be alone. Nope. Companionship was probably exactly what she needed, actually. Seeing Dal over at the table, the girl made a quick glance behind her shoulder to check if Spike had come in, before heading over to him and his apparent friend. A friend who she might know...but with HER memory, you could never really be sure. One by one, she swung her legs over the bench to sit on the other side of the boy. "Hey Dallin," she addressed him. "And hi," she addressed his friend. Mmm yeah. Bad memory. She placed her elbow on the table and rested her hand in her palm as she let her bag slide to the floor between her legs. Nice and safe. |

Hogwarts was definitely doing him some good! He could not believe he was actually saying all this. But he was so excited to be here, in the house he wanted to be in. And all the people he had met were so friendly... "What about you? Were your parents in Ravenclaw?" he asked Emerald with a smile. |

Yes. She wasn't the only hungry person here. So why couldn't the food just be there? The wait just wasn't beneficial to anyone really, unless all the professors and house elves just liked seeing them suffer... Maybe that was it. "So, Ariana, what year are you in?" Vashti asked. She looked a little older than a first year, but perhaps she was. Vashti wasn't always a good judge of age anyway. Quote:
"Right," was all Vashti said at first. Perhaps she was just used to going to Hogwarts every September, so it didn't feel as big of a deal to her as it did to Louisa. Though she did agree, the trip to Hogwarts wasn't too bad, excluding the fact that she was completely starving. But then Louisa's expression changed and her voice went to the total opposite of shouting. Him? "Who?" she asked, trying to peer past the third year to figure out who she was talking about. And what was so bad about this "him"? |
"I've started the Potions book! I think it would be sooo cool to be able to make all of those concoctions... like Polyjuice potion! How cool would would it be to change into someone else for a while!!" Potions fascinated Emmy for some reason, probably because she had never learned to cook (due to her mother's wishes) and she was anxious to be able to make something on her own. "Do you have any brothers or sisters, Gavin?" |

"I'm a... secondie!" Yeah, Ariana made up her own words! This made her laugh at herself. Secondie  "Well, I'm a short secondie. I've been mistaken for a firstie three times today!" She laughed at this too, everything seemed funny today. Except for her hunger. Candy was yummy and sugary, not filling-y! "You?" |

Louisa turned around to the younger girl. It turned out she was talking with Vashti too, so might as well introduce. "Hey there, I am Louisa." She flashed a grin at the girl. The third year then yawned.. like in public and without any courtesy (the lady teen thing down the drain this time) and rested her head on her crossed arms on the table, looking up at both Vashti and the new girl. "Man! I am starving. Do you guys think the headmaster will mention the ship in his speech?" She said, deep inside wishing he would. And then they'd know who was really missing and why.. She so should get Vashti and go have a look at it for a second. Nothing major, just to see where not to go. |

"Does it get kind of lonely with out any other kids around? Or do you have a lot of friends?" |

What was getting into him? "Hey, Ellie," he greeted. "How's it goin'?" |
Quote:
"Me too! I hope we can eat soon!" Couldn't the headmaster hurry up and speak? "Ship? What ship?" Ariana had been cut off from all things magical all summer, and she'd been walking like a food-deprived zombie from the train to the carriages and then the Great Hall. |

"Your two older brothers, they are not wizards?" he asked her. |
Victoria sighed in relief. "Finally..." She mumbled. She was glad to be back at Hogwarts, where she truly felt at home. She sat down and listened as each new student was sorted to different Houses. As she glanced at the new arrivals, she smiled friendly at them. |
Melina sat herself at the Ravenclaw table. The dramatic boat ride to Hogwarts at night was like a dream, one she'd never forget as long as she lived. The sorting hat had placed her in Ravenclaw!!!!! Oh, thank you, wise hat. Melina just knew she was destined for this house. She looked around for familiar faces. Oh, where was Adelyn? She needed her big sister right now!!!! |
RAVENCLAW! He was sorted into ravenclaw. Of course this really meant nothing to the muggle born boy. Niko was still rather impressed that he got the house with the color blue it seemed, so he thought that must count for something. He walked up towards the table and looked around and his fellow housemates. Niko then realized this was the part where he realized he knew no one. Nervously he bit his lip, and sat down in a spot where it seemed he wouldn't bother people alread amidst a conversation. |
Yay for inter-house friendship (: Jaymie went over to the Ravenclaw table, because she felt a little intimidated at her table. Everyone over there was older than her, and she felt small. She spotted someone she knew across the room, and she had come right over. She sat down next to the girl she had met on the train. "Hi Ariana," she said with a smile. Then she noticed somebody else over there. "Hi Gavin." Another smile. |

And big girls had the right to scare younger students right? GRIN. She glanced a look at Vashti and added, "Well, they say it's really dangerous and a couple of teachers were kidnapped right when it appeared." Louisa rested her head back on the table still looking at both the girls, "I can't imagine what kind of awful creatures and spooky people occupy the ship so.." TEEHEE, she was in a good mood and joking a liiiittle bit with a younger student wasn't so bad, right? Although she wasn't sure if what she considered a joke was the truth, she didn't read the Daily Prophet just heard about it from someone in the Weasley's shop. -_- |

Settling in for a conversation, she tucked a strand of dark hair behind her ear nodding. "Oh, they're going." And they were. Just at the moment in no general direction. "Most don't start until the feast is over though." Waving a hand in the general direction of the newer students in their house, she continued. "You know, the whole taking the new students up the stairs, showing them where our common room is, helping them with the riddle and of course," she added with a quirky grin. "Letting them know no boys are allowed in the girls dormitories." Because that was a time old taboo of course. Although, it really was a bit sexist that girls were allowed in the boy dormitories. "Basically, giving them the Ravenclaw lowdown." Her eyes moved off his for a second to take in the Staff table, and she gave a perceptive nod. "Though pleasantries do have to made with the new professors." Shrugging her shoulders, she turned towards him again. "But that will probably wait till after the speech." Pointing to his general person, she smiled questioningly. "What about your..." Small pause here as her mind whirled. "Guy-ish Ravenclaw 5th year duties. How are those going?" Quote:
Sitting up to smile at the newcomer whom she vaguely recognized, Ivory gave her little wave. "Hi." Oh gosh, she was horrible with names. She was sure they'd met previous. Possibly in a joint Charms class? Maybe possibly? Biting her lip for a split second as she tried to remember, in the end she gave up with a little laugh. "I'm so sorry. I'm sure we've met before but my mind's being difficult with the lack of food." Never good for anyone's mental process...at least she thought so. With a friendly smile, she extended a hand across the table. "So for the sake of reintroduction, I'm Ivory." |
