Sitting on his desk, his eyes on his feet with which he drew random patterns in the air, Jeremy patiently waited for the first few students to arrive for his lesson. His first lesson of the term. He hoped to see many new faces and just as many returning. Well, he was going to know soon.
Behind him on the simple blackboard he had written his name and the subject he was teaching:

Just in case somebody had come to the wrong classroom and didn't actually want to attend this lesson. He didn't want anybody to realize half-way through that this wasn't Care of Magical Creatures after all.

Isobel recognized this girl. She was a first year, and she was a Hufflepuff, and she was trying out for he Quidditch team. "Hi," Isobel said with a smile. She was about to answer her when she heard Simon speak to the professor. Simon was also trying out...he had been on the team last year.
"You could join us Simon," she offered. And the girl. With both of them, that made five. She looked toward Amy, she was the one who had started this group, so Isobel figured she should get her consent. "What do you say, Amy?" Wait...there would be five. The professor had said three of four. "Professor, can we have five?" She asked.

Iris listened to everything everyone said, desperately trying to NOT laugh at quite a lot of it. Making notes a Zookara did so on the blackboar, the Head Girl smiled a little when he had nothing negative to say about her previous contribution.
Okay.
Now, time to group up?
This was usually Iris' least favourite part of the class. None of her friends ever came to Muggle Studies! Eying the students that were nearby, Iris smiled a little when she spotted the girl that made the cookies, making notes with the girl next to her.

Looking at her parchment, Kurumi thought she had covered the basics. Of course, people could add other details as they thought things out. "Perhaps the dwarfs were children?"
Picking up her bag and notebook, Iris wandered over to her. With a smile, she tentitively placed her book down on the desk. " ... Mind if I join you?" 'Cause y'know... who WOULDN'T want to work with the Head Girl? Hehehehehe. Just kidding. Iris's ego wasn't THAT big. Yet.
Raising her eyebrow at Kurumi's suggestion of the dwarfs being children, Iris shrugged. "I dunno... It's possible. But Dwarfs are real in the Muggle world... Seven of them in one house seems a little far-fetched... but it's still possible. Perhaps some of the Dwarfs were children. I mean, think about their names. They're personalities, for the most part. Happy, Dopey and Bashful - in the fairy tale - all have characteristics and personalities that're childlike; whereas Doc, Grumpy and Sneezy seemed a lot more like adults in comparison."

Seeing the momentary smirk on the ZooMan's face, Josh grinned back at him cheerfully and seeing that the man's smirk lost its vitality some only made the boy's grin grow wider. ''Exactly.'' he uttered back looking and sounding VERY confident about it. Confidence and contentment could be read on him from head to toe. Eh...just because they had NOT experienced it did NOT mean it was NOT real, did it? Of course, NOT. ''It does work quite smoothly'' he went on now his dark brown eyes looking for that certain girl for a certain reason.
And there she was! Yeah, as beautiful as the beauty itself in her Slytherin uniform occupying a random desk. ''She...'' he started making a quick gesture towards Evelyn before going on with his explanation of the PROOF ''...well...they was a certain time in near past that we had a rocky relationship which seemed hopeless from time to time. Actually it seemed very hopeless towards the end. She was very cold, sarcastic, dangerous, fury filled towards me. And she slapped really good. I did everything one can imagine to win her heart even yelled out a love poem in the middle of Professor Lafay's class. '' Yea, then you imagine the rest. ''Nothing worked. She was impossible. You have no idea how she is when she wants to be all dragon rawr on you.'' It could even freak out Godric Gryffindor.
''Anyway, than that day came all in a sudden. For a moment i felt like we were alone though i knew we were not. She avoided being alone with me everywhere. She avoided me anyway. So, i knew this was a message that i should act. Well...then it happened in moments, i have no idea how long it was. Yet she did not move or slap or hex or jinx or strangle or burn alive or kill me. She kinda...joined it. And after it things got way easier then she was again that sweet and adorable girl i used to know.'' Now let's hope ZooMan was not going to shove a bezoar in his mouth just like Lafay had done. Merlin! He was not under the effect of a stupid love potion. He was REALLY and SERIOUSLY in love. It was doubtful that they were going to understand though.
And probably, now he was not going to be able to find any group to work with. But meh.

Evelyn was a tad lost with all this talk about muggle fairy tales and such, especially with who this Snow White person was, and especially Sleeping Beauty. Seriously...everyone HAD to know that someone slipped her a draught of living death potion. It was obvious! It was a terrible children story if they aren't going to even tell it right.
Yet, Josh's revelation that he did believe in the true love's kiss made her smile somewhat, and forget the fact that muggles had terrible taste in books. It was even more interesting once ZooMan asked if he had any proof. No wait, that wasn't interesting. That was setting off the alarm bells in her mind, and those hadn't gone off since a few years ago when someone had invaded her personal space. They were old and dusty and definitely didn't sound like they used to. She needed new alarm bells...
Narrowing her eyes slightly at the back of Josh's head, Evelyn huffed slightly at the mention of their rocky relationship. The girl didn't like her private life out in the open like this. Well...obviously it was in the open, but spoken out like this was not her cup of tea. Especially the part about being cold, sarcastic, and dangerous- awwww. He really thought so? If that came from anyone else, she would've thought it was sweet. Was it terrible she still slightly thought so?
NO! No, she shouldn't be all lovey dovey over him for saying that. Ripping a page out of her notebook, she crumpled it up, having all intentions of throwing it at him but...awww. He called her sweet and adorable. Goodness, Josh was the most brilliant and amazing boyfriend. He still got the paper ball thrown at his head, but it was out of LOVE.
What were they supposed to be doing again? Writing love stories? What?

Giving her a small slightly amused grin, he turned to Legend, glad to have a good reason to shift his attention away from her at least for now. "So..you're saying, the FROG was an Animagus and his Animagus form was a prince?" He repeated with a laugh at the boy's theory. Snort.
PROOF?! "Uhm. However you are going to prove that to Neptune, Legend-" Okay, there really was only one way. "-could you do that after class?" He did not want to witness that, thank you very much.
Neptune tried to keep up the bravado, but the effect was lost when her cheeks burned a deep red. Though if it was because of Legend or Professor Z.... it was hard to tell.

This was one of those times to miss Jake and miss him A LOT. Group work. Meehhhhh. She rummaged in her purse for lipstick, then as she applied it with practiced ease, scanned the room for a group.
She decided to just stick with Mr. Oh-So-Awesome-Kisser Chosen, and Neptune went to sit beside him. "I quite like fairies. De-fairy-ing sounds like the opposite of something I'd want to do."
So like.... Legend should do the work and Neptune would pout her pink and pretty lips at him. She handed him parchment to get to that.
Love Potion. Hmm. Jeremy just looked at Kurumi for a moment, considering her question, a little unsure on what to say in reply. "Well, I mean, I guess we'll never know for sure but since True Love's Kiss is only used as a way of reviving a person in the fairy tales I would rather go with a spell, like for instance Ennervate or in Snow White's case maybe Anapneo." He shrugged and shook his head at whoever HAD come up with the whole idea of True Love's Kiss.
That was just silly, right?

Just as he was about to disagree with Kurumi himself, Treyen did it for him. And in a very nice and appropriate and over all correct way. "Well said, Treyen." Jeremy gave the Hufflepuff an approving grin before he continued, "While it sometimes seems that especially witches are mainly portrayed as evil characters there are various good witches too. Take the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella for instance. Even though she's a fairy, technically, you could say she's a witch." Yes, so like Treyen had said, there's good and evil everywhere.

He had actually been waiting, and dreading, for somebody to bring that up. Of course. The special magic of love. He was denying that something like that WAS possible. They all knew the story of Harry Potter and how he was saved by his mother's unconditional love after all.

"I mean, like Sarah pointed out, how do they know that this is their 'true love'? They've never met after all." Now...that might evolve into a discussion on whether or not everybody had a soulmate or not. Crap.

Connor raised an eyebrow. Unfairy the tale? He was a little uncomfortable with that, the artist in him was most definitely bothered by that. Was it not unfair to the muggle writers to dismantle their story? he'd do it but he would hate it. He turned to Heather and Kurumi. "Can we do this together please? I don't think I have the heart to do this on my own." He whispered. He was really bothered by the assignment.

Legend did not have time to reply to Neptune's doubt's about his awesome kissing powers. Professor Zoo had mixed up entirely what he had said and made him sound...confusing. Then he had laughed at him. NOT cool Professor Zoo. Not cool. "Dude. That's not what I said. I mean...the Prince was an Animagus who transformed into a frog. He went around looking for girls who would kiss him as a frog so he'd know which girl wasn't like...shallow. And then yeah...he found her, lied about a curse and just changed back from the Animagus frog form to a human. Duh. Keep up Sir." Seriously. You were making him look bad.
"I wasn't even going to prove it." Legend said rolling his eyes. "Everything I do is amazing. So that should be proof enough." YEAH! It should be. Because Legend really didn't want to prove it.

The blond hated group work. It was always so confusing. He usually slept through it. Legend was about to put his head on the desk, preparing for another in class nap when Neptune sat beside him. Urgh.
He looked at her, then back to the parchment, then back at her. "What do you expect me to do?"

Maybe it was a result of his Veela blood, Kurumi wasn't entirely sure how it all worked, but Connor had been very moody recently almost to the point where it was getting hard for her to keep up with him. Nodding, Kurumi set her quill down. Was there really a question as to whether or not they were a group? She had assumed that Heather, Connor, Eino, and herself were already one.
"Of course," she nodded with a look of utter confusion on her face. Why wasn't his heart in it? They were just looking at things from a logical and scientific standpoint.

Kurumi recognized the older girl from the opening feast seeing as she had been one of the few Slytherins to actually accept her cookies without turning them over and trying to figure out if they were poisoned or not. "Of course," she chirped as she scooted over a bit to allow the girl some more room.
Nodding as the other girl spoke, Kurumi had to giggle when she said that she thought Grumpy seemed more like an adult. He had seemed very childish to her, being upset over everything in the same way that a young boy is when they don't get milk and cookies before bed. "So...they were a small people family that she just happened upon in the forest?" Kurumi asked scratching her head. That sounded silly as well. Wandering through the woods and happening upon a colony of small people. If that were the real story, she was sure that everyone would have thought her crazy. "What if...Snow White, the real person," if there ever really was one. "What if she just called those who helped her 'little people'? You often hear people when they give speeches say 'I would like to thank all the little people who helped me get to where I am now.' Someone could have overheard that and decided to turn it into something more elaborate like dwarfs living in the woods. Snow White wandering through the woods until she found the next town isn't nearly as enchanting."

WHAT was with all the professors making the students be social with each other? First Lafay asking for partners, Borr wanted them to do a bunch of random nonsense and sing to someone, and now Zook wanted a whole stinkin' group?!

After a huuuge, elongated sigh, Ellie turned to face the rest of the class who had already seemed to find group members. Faaantastic. She stood up and spoke up, "Does anyone have room for me? Anyone? Room? For me? Little Ellie here? No? Okay. I'll just... sit here. And hide." She mumbled and slowly sat back down.
That was as much social effort as Zookara was getting.
Kurumi turned to her friends at her table, parchment and quill in hand, and smiled at everyone. She would play the role of the scribe again unless others objected. So, there were certain elements in the story that clearly needed to be addressed like the dwarfs and the stepmother transforming into a witch.
"Perhaps we should start by listing the magical elements of the story and then go down that list one by one to, um, unmagic them?" she offered starting to write down on her parchment.

Looking at her parchment, Kurumi thought she had covered the basics. Of course, people could add other details as they thought things out. "Perhaps the dwarfs were children?"
"Hi Kurumi," she greeted and hoped her friend doesn't mind. "Is it okay if I join you?"

And even though she would have just liked to go back to the common room and sleep forever.... "Sure." Ellie replied with a small smile. "I'm Ellie, by the way. I don't think I know you." She introduced.
Now, time to make the muggle movie in to a REALLY muggle movie. "So. Snow White. Have you seen it?" She asked the girl, pulling out her notebook and her quill.

"We've never met," the girl said, taking a seat next to Ellie. "I'm Helena." And she had a group now. Simple like that.
Has she... seen it? "The movie? No," she said quickly, slightly blushing. "I've just read it." Juuuust a couple of months ago or something like that, along with many other muggle fairytales. Especially for Muggle Studies. "Have you seen it?" Or maybe just read it? It didn't really matter, they had to know the plot.
