Well...of course he could see the deep anger in the woman's eyes however Josh did not look away and just stared back into her eyes as long as she did. This was not to challenge her or to stand against her though, it was just to imply that he was still behind and supporting what he had said. Maybe not the...yelling at the woman part but his words were the pure truth regarding the situation.

When his Head of House spoke with that tone obviously sending him away for detention, Josh did not react, not even changed his bitter but sorrowful expression. Still his dark brown eyes staring into the woman's, the boy slowly nodded before breaking the eye contact to...stare back at Evelyn.

Yes, he stared back at the Slytherin girl with eyes full of inner pain, resentment, grief and some fury for a moment or so before blinking to keep them being all watery and leaving the Library as quicky as possible without running away.

She had stopped trying to inch away once Josh seemed to snap. More than he had a few minutes ago. All she could do was stand frozen, stare, and listen. She didn't know what she was more shocked about though. Him yelling, him yelling in the library, him yelling at his head of house, or by what he was saying.

But, Donovan told her to leave. Right now? Gladly.

Not before she saw Josh's expression. Taking a few steps back, not even sure what her own expression was, she moved behind the bookshelf and went further into the library. Forget Riley for the moment. Disaster. This was utter, confusing, frustrating, angry, and hurtful disaster. She needed time to breeeaaathe.

And to put this book away before it ended up hitting someone in the head.

Zara made her way to the bookshelves, and began to scan the books. Right, Herbology should be around...here. She looked at the books, and taking them off the shelves.

The young Gryffindor opened the first book she got and turned to where the Table of Contents were, seeing if there was anything useful she could get there when she heard footsteps. Turning her attention away from the book, she looked back and saw that Helena had followed her. "Oh hey, you came," she smiled and went back to looking at the book she was currently holding.

Helena followed her friend towards the HUGE bookshelves, and when she finally got next to her, Zara was already checking a book for something useful. "Did you find anything?" She asked, taking a random book to scan it as well. At least they found the Herbology books. Now they had to look for something useful.

"I have an idea," Helena said, grinning. She took her wand out of the pocket of her robes and pointed it towards one of the bookshelves. "Accio book-that-will-help-us-with-our-Herbology-assignment," she mumbled, but nothing happened. Sigh. "Maybe I should change the words?" She asked, looking back at Zara. Maaaybe it wasn't such a good idea.

"I think so," she stated, still looking at the book. Deciding it might somehow be useful, she closed it and tucked it under her arm. Zara began to get a second book. "Oh, right! Helen--"

And Helena said she had an idea. Zara smiled and turned to her, about to ask what her idea was but Helena had done it, so no need to ask. "Hmm, I think 'Herbology books' would do it," she suggested but realized that all the books of Herbology would start shooting at them and it'd probably be a big mess. AHH, it would be the 'attack of Herbology books.' Quickly she added, "But I think that won't be a good idea either."

Zara closed the second book, deciding this would take a lot of time if she'd scan them one by one. She placed the two books the had on the floor and began to scoop up three's and four's of the Herbology books, planning to bring them all back. She piled them up on the floor and when the young Gryffindor had seen they were all she could carry for now, she bent down and took them in her arms--with a little difficulty of course. Looking back up at Helena, she said, "I think this oughta do the trick. Heavy, but it's the best we've got so far." She stood up, with the heavy load on her arms but decided to carry them later once Helena got her own share of books so they'd go back together to the reading lounge. Zara placed the books back down with a small grunt. It was heavy. Hihih. "I'll go wait for you. We'll go back together."

Yup, definitely not a good idea. "I wouldn't try summoning only the Herbology books," Helena said, thinking about what could happen. She surely didn't want the librarian to come and get mad, in case Helena made all the books fly around, maybe even get detention or lose points. Or BOTH. So... no. No more summoning charms.

Just as Zara did, Helena took a few books that seemed helpful, and after a quick glance at each table of contents, she placed three books one on top of the other, made the swish-and-flick movement with her wand and levitated them. That was better, rather than carrying them. And safe as well, because Helena had no problem with that spell. "Let's go," she said, smiling at Zara.

Zara watched, dumbfounded as Helena easily carried her books. How on earth did she do that spell? Or charm, or whatever that is. GAHH, so far, she's never learned any spells while at Hogwarts. DADA's nothing but homework and Charms class is sometime later. Really looking forward to that class, maybe Zara'll learn spells. The only one's she's been able to do was that Aguamenti, Scourgify, and Tergeo. And that was because of the help of that Slytherin prefect.

"How...did...you...do...that?" she asked, with a surprised look on her face. But of course, Helena was a second year, she's known more. Still, Zara felt...dumb. She looked back down at her pile of books, which was quite a lot. Oh well, guess she'll have to carry them herself. Helena would probably tell her the wand movement and the words to be said. But still, Zara knew she couldn't do it. GAH, if she hadn't done those Aguamenti, Scourgify, and Tergeo, Zara's surely doubt she could even do magic. Even as a child, she's never actually shown magical abilities. Her letter did arrive, it was their only proof of Zara being magical before.

"Wha- Oh." The spell.

Helena giggled, then let the books softly fall on the ground. "It's simple," she grinned, taking her wand out again. "The trick is to know the right wand movement, like this," she said, making the swish-and-flick movement again, but this time slowly, so Zara could see.

"Why don't you try?" Helena asked, smiling. "And then try with the incantation. It's Wingardium Leviosa." And that was all.

Zara just smiled. No, she wasn't gonna try it. If she does something wrong right now, her Head of House might come and take points from her. Eeh, that felt wrong. "Nah, it's okay. I'll wait until Charms class teaches us these stuff."

Biting her lip, she began to pick up that heavy pile of books. "Let's go."

Doing research for homework was hard. And boring. Orlando wasn't that fond of this much reading. But he had to because when you are a sixth year, you get a lot of homework. The Gryffindor searched through the many books available. At least one of them would help him in the essay that was due.

Ryden was NOT doing homework. Nope. She was also not researching Astronomy. Because if she was doing these things, it would mean that she was actually contributing to Hogwarts; becoming part of the lifestyle. And she WASN'T. The pile of books she was carrying to a table at the back of the library were random things that she'd found a TINY bit of interest in. Yep.

Almost crashing under the weight of the seven or so large leather bound books, the brunette made her way to the nearest table and dropped them onto the surface with a dull thump before she realised that the table was already occupied.

"Koala Boy?"

A loud thud and Koala Boy.

Only one person was these days calling him that, without even looking up the boy greeted her: "Heey Violent Girl" he said, reading the last line of the big chapter. "Oh and I see, your beautiful voice has returned" He said, only realizing afterward that he has just used the word 'beautiful' to use her voice.

Oh. Idiot.

Feeling a little awkward and alarmed, the boy looked up at the girl in front of him. The only way to get out of this was to get her distracted. "Oh .. Uh .. are you here to complete homework as well?" Please buy it. Please buy it!

Violent Girl? What happened to Fist Girl? Eh well - essentially it was kind of the same at any rate. Noting that he hadn't even needed to look up, a small smile danced at the corner of her lip as she sank into the chair beside the taller Gryffindor. She was just putting her bag on the floor when she caught his next statement and rolled her eyes.

"What is WITH you and your insufferable teasing? Are you masochistic? Do you find girls hitting boys - me hitting you specifically - oddly attractive or something?" she asked with contempt, not really in the mood to hit him. Later perhaps. He was sure to give her more opportunities to hit him anyways. In that respect, Koala Boy never failed.

Taking out her parchment and things, she had to ponder about his second question. HOMEWORK was such an encompassing word... It could mean oh so VERY many things. "I'm. . . researching more on Astronomy and perhaps writing some things down. And I may just answer some questions set by professors. If you want to call that homework, fine," she answered, heaving three of her pile of books closer to her.

... Had she just RAMBLED? Oh no.

Oh. Obviously she found a way to twist his words. That was good, for once because if she realized that he hadn't really been teasing - it would have been much more worse than her insulting. Despite being grateful that she took it the wrong, it still made him roll his eyes. "Really now? I think it's the other way around. You like finding reasons to hit me. And now I have no strange attraction towards you hitting me"

It always hurt. WHY WOULD HE BE ATTRACTED TO IT?

Hearing her ramble a little made Orlando to arch his brow a little. "You don't seem that inclined on doing it though. Any special reasons for your feud with Astronomy?"

The girl had too many enemies in the castle already. She should be glad really that Orlando did not take her hitting and accusing him constantly personally.

Ryden was offended.

"I do NOT like finding reasons to hit people. I hit people when they deserve it, and you, Mr, deserved it every single time. The fact that I ENJOY a little violence here and there has nothing with... I repeat, I do not look for reasons to hit... I don't..." the brunette's little rant ended as she finally heard what she was saying and realised just how shallow her words truly were.

Of course she did. She does look for reasons to hit people. It's one of her stupid faults. And she liked hitting him... Because he could take it. Because he didn't run and cry to his friends then write her off as some lunatic or other freakishly weird person. Because she kind of liked hanging around him and didn't know how to be nice to a person who wasn't her sister. She'd forgotten what it was like to have fun with someone with whom she hadn't shared a bed with once upon a time. Or, wait, scratch that. She'd forgotten how to properly have fun and enjoy spending time with someone. Period. Since Bridget was all the way in stupid Italy and didn't really care anymore.

"Shut up. And that is good, because if you did you'd officially be crowned King of the Pervs," she said, her voice much much softer than it had been just a few seconds ago. The Ravenclaw found she couldn't quite meet his eyes and instead focused on uncapping her inkwell and keeping her head well down so that he wouldn't be able to see her when her guard was down. Because it WAS down - WAYYYY down. Somewhere in Davy Jones' Locker.

Feud with Astronomy? "Quite on the contrary, Koala Boy. I like it too much," she said, in that same soft voice, and dipped her quill in the ink as she took a deep breath.

What was the MATTER with her?

It was actually very amusing to watch her ramble on. Orlando watched her defend her hitting habits and resisted laughing. However, he ended up grinning anyways. "You know, it was fun when your voice was gone," he teased, for the first time intentionally. He was not used to teasing friends but in Ryden's case - the boy made an exception without meaning to.

If he really looked into the situation, he was not really that used to talking to girls like this. With KT, it was different - he respected her, he adored her, she was the perfect girl for a best friend but with Ryden, everything was different. And he liked it. Sure, there was more bickering and accusations from her side than friendly motions but still he enjoyed her company. He might even be getting less scared of her unpredictable punches.

Orlando rolled his eyes. King of Pervs. Wow. "You know, you are perhaps the only girl who can come up with something like that and especially regarding me" he said, turning a page of the book he should be reading but was now avoiding. "Seriously Fist Girl, you are one of a kind" he teased but there was surely more truth in his words than he made it sound. He didn't fail to notice, her attempt to avoid looking directly at him. He could not come up with a reason as to why though.

Her answer to his question didn't seem that satisfactory. In fact, that was probably the first time ever Ryden was not being well .. Ryden while saying it. "Is something bothering you?" he asked, his voice soft. He felt like the whole 'Would you like my jacket' was repeating itself all over again.

"Sure, fun for you," Ryden stated flatly, although there was the barest hint of a smile in her words that wasn't there before. She couldn't call the experience of having no voice FUN, but it had certainly been rather entertaining once you look back on it. Although she'd have to come up with a better system for communicating when her voice was unavailable.

Come up with what? Oh, right. Hehe. "I'll choose to take that as a complement, Koala Boy," the brunette replied with a grin, finally able to look back up at him. Aha, awkward moment GONE. THANK MERLIN. That had been very strange. Ryden made a mental note to think over this later and reach some answers because this was unacceptable. If Hogwarts was turning her soft and emotional, she'd HAVE to transfer. It was the one thing she swore she would not let it do.

... Awkwardness was back.

Averting her eyes, she instead gazed at her blank roll of parchment. The truth was very easy - what WASN'T bothering her? But as soon as he asked the question, Ryden knew that she would not give a straight answer. She couldn't - she didn't even know Koala Boy's last name, she wasn't about to start dumping her depressing life story on him.

"It's fine, Koala Boy. Nothing's wrong," she said with a sigh, then pointed at the book he was supposedly reading although she had a sneaking suspicion he'd been rereading the same line for quite a while. Just a reader's instinct. "What you got there?" subject changing time. YEP YEP.

There was certainly some major issues with people who sighed and then said there was nothing wrong with them. Liars. And Ryden was being one right now. The whole 'Would you like my Jacket' incident was definitely repeating itself because yet again, Ryden blew him off. Orlando really needed to learn to stop prying into this girl's privacy. He could swear, though, that he was not doing it on purpose.

It's fine, Koala Boy. Nothing's wrong Her words were his queue to shut up like the last time. Not wanting her to cause violence in the Library if he did not abide by her wishes, Orlando did not push her more on the subject. It did sadden him though, that she did not trust him even a little.

Weren't they friends by now?

Perhaps not.

"Ahh .. Charms homework" he nodded, pointing at the books in front of him.

Luna came to liabrary to get a few books she got history of magic quiddiatch threw out the ages some arithmancy books and charms books then she figured out she had to many books to carry and the Ravenclaw commonroom was really far away on the seventh floor ''hmm' she said to her self quietly MAGIC she thought the most obvious thing in the world really somtimes she wondered why she was a Ravenclaw sbut she knew exactly which spell to use though the levitation charm she took out her wand ''Wimgardium Leviosa'' she whispered then the books levitated and she walked out of the liabrary and back to the Ravenclaw commonroom to read the books she got

The thing with the Di Marco twins is that they're identical yet polar opposites. And this has nothing to do with how they appear. Over the years, Ryden had developed the reputation of the "badder" twin and one of the traits that were solely attributed to Bridget was the ability to read people. She was a WIZ at that.

This brunette, however, usually failed miserably. Which was why it was so odd for her when she suddenly sensed that she'd somehow disappointed the boy sitting next to her. Perhaps she was misreading again? But no, all the characteristics of someone who'd recently been... rejected? let down? were there.

But could the Ravenclaw bring herself to tell him what was wrong? Koala Boy would be the first to ever hear her story at Hogwarts if she did. Glancing at him, she tilted her head to the side.

No. No she couldn't. She couldn't trust him. She couldn't trust ANYONE here. Hell, from the last few letters she'd received - or hand't received, if you think about it - she couldn't even rely on Bridget. Forget about Father and Aunt Lea. Ryden Di Marco only had herself now. And, as far as she could see, the only price she had to pay for that was a little lonliness. And she'd been lonely for the past few years anyway, so nothing had changed.

"Fastinating," she said and nodded at the books, trying to keep her tone as casual as she could. "Have you always attended Hogwarts?" she sudenly asked, the question popping up from nowhere. It was rather a handy topic changer, though. Not that homework was by any means dangerous, but Ryden never liked to linger on certain subjects for longer than necessary anyway.

"I suppose so..." He said crossing his arms and shrugging. "But what about you? Will you remember it?" He asked thoughtfully. She had forgotten... something. He had forgotten what she had forgotten now! Maybe she could remember for the both of them! "Have you ever been there...?" He asked pointing to the Restricted Area. He had taken a certain interest on and developed a perpetual curiosity to the place, but there was no way he could enter without possibly getting into trouble.

Thea shrugged, smiling. 'Probably not.. but it musn't of been that important if I've forgotten it..' Thea grinned again, and looked to where Eino was pointing. Brushing her hair out of her eyes, she shook her head. 'Nope. Have you?' Running her hand over the bookshelves she sighed. What now?

After walking along the fourth floor corridor, Roderigo walked into the library. He had never entered the library leisurely; he had only been in here his previous year as he crammed as much time for studying for his exams as he could. However, seeing as he was in his seventh and final year at Hogwarts, he figured he'd best make himself more acquainted with the grand library, for he will surely be in here when cramming for his N.E.W.T.s. He had already read through his Standard Book of Spells: Grade Seven, but wanted an more in depth analysis of the Patronus Charm. He began walking along the bookshelves, gliding his finger as he read the peeling and faded letters on the ancient, musty books. After about ten minutes of searching, he decided that if he did not find a book along the next two shelves, he will just go and ask Madam Donovan for help.

Gwen looked around at the book on the shelf in front of her. They seem quite interesting, but I guess you can’t even compare them to the ones in the restricted section. I bet those are awesome!, she thought. However, she was afraid to talk to Madam Donovan about getting there. She’ll think I’m crazy, the girl decided.

Truth was, she didn’t wish to read scary things, or ‘dark’ books ,she was only curious about their titles, what they were about, and, most important, why they got in the restricted section. Hmm, curiosity killed the cat, she repeated in her mind.

Orlando tried hard not to show his disappointment, he failed miserably of course. But oh well, for Ryden's sake he tried. There was just something about this girl that made him want to poke and prod her until she told him more about herself. Orlando almost wanted to demand her to spill everything that she had inside her head.

It seemed his brain wanted to act out - Orlando felt troubled at this realization but he tried to ignore it. Maybe he was imagining things. Maybe he needed proper sleep. Maybe he had spend too much time trying to study. Yes, there were too many reasons for this sudden urge in his brain, yep yep.

At her sudden question, Orlando's lips broke into a smile. "Yes, I have." he nodded. It was something he was glad about. His whole family had gone to Hogwarts. When he had received the letter, Orlando had been mostly relieved that he had not been the odd one out. And that his brain worked like his family. "You know, my whole family .. my siblings, they graduated from here. And so did my mum and dad" he told her, feeling pride fill up his chest. "You know, my mum and dad actually fell in love here .. " Probably too much information but what if Ryden didn't want to tell him about herself, he could tell her about himself - then perhaps .. she would feel like being friends with him?
