Vashti nodded and started pulling a couple books out of her bag at the mention of classes, finally remembering why she'd come here. Hard classes though? "I guess some can be hard sometimes," she answered with a shrug as she set the books on the table. "Wha - what - wron..." she started when she suddenly yawned. She covered her mouth with her hand until it was gone. "'Scuse me, sorry," she continued with an apologetic expression. "I meant to say, what's wrong with Care of Magical Creatures? You don't like it?"

Connor went into the library and sat his bookbag down at one of the desks at the library bookshelves. He sat down and pulled out a piece of parchment and a self-inking quill and began to write what he could remember about his father.


He tapped his quill against his teeth and waited for Kurumi to come because he had no Idea where to begin. He propped his chin against his right hand and tapped his quill against his teeth with his left hand. His father's skull ring on his left hand glinted in the lamplight.

Kurumi had become a bit sidetracked in the library as she ran her hand over various books and pieces of parchment. As she gazed down at the various titles, she stopped when she found herself in a non-magical book section and her eyes glanced over the title of a book that sounded very interesting and, surprisingly, related to all the chaos that she had observed over the last few months. Kurumi flipped open to a random page and began to read as she walked until she nearly tripped over footstool and stumbled forward only to catch herself on Connor's shoulder.

"S-S-Sorry," she blushed. Hopefully she didn't rip his parchment.

Connor had been lost in thought trying to remember as much as he could about his dad. He wondered where Kurumi was and he'd sat down his quill and was just about ready to go and find her when he heard someone fall. He sucked in his breath a little as they landed on his shoulder. It twinged a bit and he was just about to tell whoever it was off when her heard Kurumi apologize.

"No problem." He smiled as he rotated his right arm and popped his slightly dislocated shoulder back into place. "So I've written down everything I can remember about my Dad but now I'm not even sure where to begin looking for him. Any suggestions?'

Kurumi brushed her bangs to the side before reaching across Connor for the piece of parchment he had written all he knew on it. She frowned as she read it over. When she had gone to do research on her own father, she had had a starting point. That starting point was the Ministry. Connor only had a birthdate and a name.It wasn't like Hogwarts had a library filled with birth records on every person. Those sorts of documents wouldn't be found in the school. Her violet gaze continued to skim until they landed on a second date: the date of his death.

"Here," she said pointing to it. "Deaths are recorded in newspapers and..." she furrowed her brow a bit. "You said that your parents died in a fire...an old Daily Prophet should have that."

Kurumi set her book down on the end table - although she would really like to keep reading about this Pugwash fellow - and crossed her legs as she waited.

Connor nodded and went searching for a pile of old Daily prophets right around the date of his Parents Death. He came back to her with them and handed her half. "Does the Daily prophet cover things that happened in Japan? He asked looking at the obituaries in one paper.

"They should," she nodded taking the chance to peek back towards her pirate comic book and reading a few more frames before turning her attention back towards Connor. "Something like the fire you described wouldn't just be an isolated incident. I am sure that the British Ministry of Magic got involved..." Kurumi trailed off a bit before snatching the parchment from Connor's hands again and looked at the date.

Suddenly, her face went white and she felt dizzy.

Connor looked up at her as she snatched his parchment again. He looked at her. She looked really pale and like she was going to faint he gently took the parchment from her hands. "Kurumi what is it. You look like you've seen a ghost. Tell me what's wrong." He said, pushing aside his search for a moment. He held her hands. "Talk to me."

Kurumi wished that she had brought her own notes on her personal research with her. So many different dates were swimming around in her head that it was becoming hard to keep up with. 2060 was the year that Ryunosuke had started attending Hogwarts, that was easy to remember enough. However, that had nothing to do with what they were talking about.

2060...her father should have been working for the Japanese Ministry at that time. Perhaps there was something on foreign ministries in the library, that seemed like a possibility. Thoughts racing around in her head, Kurumi almost didn't feel Connor's strong hands clasp around her own and her gaze shot upwards to meet his own. Wait, had he said something?

"Whaaaa?" she squeaked looking at the ground for a moment. "N-N-Nothing really," she continued lying through her teeth. Her eyes glanced towards the book shelves that held historical records.

Connor felt like something was not right. He knew something was wrong when she looked at the ground. "Tell me the truth please." He whispered. He looked at her and but his lower lip, waiting for her to speak. He flipped through the paper again and tried to find something that would help him in his search.

He stumbled over something, "Japanese Ministry suspects Fire was no accident." He read the headline out loud

Kurumi began playing with her hair when Connor spoke again. She hadn't shared any of the findings she had found with her father, and she wasn't really sure that she wanted to. It had been hard enough finding all this out with Treyen around - although, he had quickly eased her concerns. Still, Kurumi wasn't sure that she was ready to admit all this to herself. That the man she knew wasn't really the man he said he was. "It's just..." she whispered back as she slowly rocked back and forth. "I-I-I'm afraid of what we might find out..."

And that was only confirmed by the title he read aloud from the paper. Kurumi's eyes widened and she simply stared at Connor, tugging on the sleeves of her Gryffindor sweater.

Connor read the article. "Believed to be the work of a Dark witch or wizard unknown, the home of Mizuki Campbell a member of The International Magical Cooperation Department of the Japenese Ministry of Magic, was found to be engulfed in fiendfyre last week. Sources tell The Daily Prophet that one body was found inside the burned out building. That of Duncan Kameron MacLeod age 26. Duncan was a writer for-"

Cconnor flipped the page over but the next page was missing. "Urgh." He slapped the paper down, frustrated.

Taking shelter from the cold, Damien found himself wandering the library. Granted he'd never really read a book before, nor would he be caught dead cracking one. But the nice thing about the library was it offered the silence that was often desired when the hustle and busle of school life can make a guy crazy.

He wandered the isles upon isles of books until approaching an area for magical creatures.

Now this could be interesting.

He touched his finger to the spine of the first book on the third shelf, slowly walking, touhing every cover, reading the titles carefully.

Luna walked into the liabrary it was probably her favourite place at Hogwarts well a tie with the Ravenclaw common room, She needed a few more books she didn't really care what they were she looked threw the books then she bumped into a sixth year she saw around Hogwarts ''Oh Sorry'' said Luna looking a bit embarresed

Not only would you not see Damien in a library, you'd NEVER see him zoning out while looking at books. It's not like he was interested in the topics of magical creatures ... but maybe they could offer some sort of answer. Or closure at least.

Now, normally he wouldn't be so defensive. But the poor girl who bumped into him was walking so quietly, Damien didn't notice her presence at all until she collided with him. It startled him, so naturally he pulled his wand out in defense. He wouldn't have actually used a spell on her, just wanted to scare away his attacker.

Obvoiusly the poor girl wasn't going to attack him.

He looked from his wand to her, feeling his cheeks flush as he slowly tucked it away into his back pocket.

"Sorry, myself," he muttered quickly, hoping she wouldn't run screaming in the other direction. "I didn't mean to draw my wand out. You startled me quite well, though. Might want to think of walking a little louder. Those feet of yours barely count as a tip toe step."

Moving swiftly towards the library, Samira's movements could almost be described as skipping. Which is so wasn't

The library was one of her favorite places in the castle. It was full of hundreds of books just packed with interesting information. You could find out anything here! And even though the library at Spinks Manor wasn't this big, Samira loved just snuggling up with a good book and getting lost in its contents.

Making her way over to the library shelves, Samira decided to brush up a bit on Charms. She let her fingers slightly trace over the spine of some of the books on the shelves, but other wise didn't touch any. Finally, she caught sight of a promising looking one on one of the higher shelves. She tried to reach up and grab it, but it was in vain. There was no way she could reach that, she was too small. A summoning charm or levitation charm would be a smart way to go, but Samira didn't want to risk having all the other books topple down, too. So instead, she settled for standing back and glaring at the book she so desperately wanted.

''That doesn't matter I would of done the same. Sorry i'm so used to being quiet in here. Oh i'm Luna'' Luna looked at her feet for a secand Luna never really talked in the liabrary or really made any noise that was the best thing about the liabrary it was the only place at Hogwarts that wasn't so noisy she also loved it because of all the books

Naturally she'd be used to being quiet in the library. Pulling out the last book he had his finger on, and tucking it under his arm, Damien nodded in response to her introduction.

"Nice to meet you, Luna," he said. "I'm Damien."

Taking note that she was also looking through the magical creatures section, he figured he'd strike up a conversation. "Looking for anything in particular?" he asked.

Kurumi sat quietly as Connor read the article and her conversation dating back to the first week she and he had known each other came flooding back. Well, it wasn't a conversation she had had with him exactly, but with Mizuki. Kurumi remembered when Connor mentioned the fire, and she had suspected then that it wasn't just a regular fire started by non-magical means. At least, not in the way he described it to her. However, the curious side of her suddenly wondered if the fire at his home had produced any Ashwinders, but that would have been entirely too sensitive of her to ask.

Kurumi didn't say anything and instead put her hand on his arm when he threw the paper against the table. She knew this wasn't going to be easy. She hadn't found any of her research easy either. "Connor...I know this is hard...trust me I do," she said as softly as she could. "But we have a clue, and a pretty big one." She slowly took the crumbled paper from under his hand. "He is a writer for some sort of wizarding publication." That certainly narrowed the search down a bit from the ENTIRE wizarding world to just the newspapers and magazines.

''Not really just think I should learn a bit more about care of magical creatures'' Luna looked threw the books again ''So.... What are you looking for?'' turning around to face Damien

"It's an interesting subject," Damien commented on Care of Magical Creatures. There it was. The question he'd been dreading. Mybe he should put a charm on the book to make it invisible so people wouldn't ask im about the book he was carrying.

Still. Luna looked young enough to be a first year. No harm in telling her what the book was. "It's called The Book of Enoch . It's a book about Fallen Angels. Souls that have left this Earth but have come back and wander among the rest of us. Like regular people."

''Yes it is''' Luna looked threw the books again Finally she thought to her self she took one of the books Luna then turned around ''Sounds interesting. I must read that some time'' said Luna clutching the book in her hands ''So do you go to the liabrary often?'' asked Luna trying to make some conversation

Though it might have appeared rude, Damien scoffed at Luna's question of if he came to the library often.

"It'll make me sound like a slacker," he began, running his hand through his hair; "But no. This is actually one of the few times I've come here. And it's never been about school work. Mostly ... er ... recreational reading purposes."

Sure. That made sense.

"But I do know a lot of students who spend most of their time here. Either huddled in the booksheslves or seeking refuge among the study tables and the lounge."

And why not? It would be a great place to come and think.

''I come here often not everyday though I don't think anybody comes everyday just to get a book now and then which is quite often i'm quite a fast reader'' said Luna ''I don't really notice anybody when i'm in the liabrary i'm kind of lost in my own little world'' said Luna it might have been quite weird and she really thought nobody cared or gave a damn but she didn't really care what other people thought

Her eyes were tired. Marie couldn't hold being around that same Divination book for another minute, but she had to study, so she just tried to focus by taking a deep breath as she sat down on the floor of the library between the bookshelves. It was comfortable and so relieving, sometimes. Too bad she was thinking about some other things while she was studying.

Like Robert finally waking up from his comma, not being able to remember a single thing about her when she went to visit him; or the fact that her mother was pushing her to leave the school again, after the last failed attempt months earlier.
