Kurumi leaned forward on her seat in anticipation as she waited for Simon to make his prediction. Seeing as there were 52 cards in the deck, Kurumi was a little skeptical as to how the older lion would be able to accomplish this.

Her skepticism was only confirmed when Simon announced that the first card was the king of hearts when it was, in fact, the 9 of clubs.

"Um...no..." Kurumi said raising an eyebrow.

Simon gave a look of disappointment as Kurumi pointed out that his guess had been wrong, the boy turning the deck to face him careful to use his hands grip on the cards to cover up the turned over card. "So it is..." he mused with a wrinkled nose before turning back to the younger lion as he returned the cards behind his back.

"Must have been a mixed up signal. Let me try again," the seventh year commented, closing his eyes once more and concentrating harder as evident by the longer time. This time he moved the propped up ace of diamonds to the position in front of the 9 of clubs.

"Alright I see the next card as a ace of diamonds," Simon said speaking his prediction aloud as he turned the deck once more to face Kurumi. This time though with the correct card in front and facing the third year.

Kurumi giggled and wanted to comment that his trick wasn’t a very good one, but that would be rude. Besides, he said that he was getting a poor signal from the cards. Kurumi was rather impressed that Simon could receive signals from the cards. She had seen some dramas back in Japan where people received signals from their hands through glowing colors, almost like holding a light bulb in your hand. Simon’s hands hadn’t glowed, so perhaps that had been the problem.

Kurumi eyes widened and a soft gasp escaped her lips. “Y-yes…” she said slowly. There was still a chance that this was nothing more than a lucky guess, so Simon was going to have to predict a few more cards before Kurumi believed. Her brain began to analyze his movements even more.

Simon raised an eyebrow at the giggles he received in response to his actions before relaxing the curious expression, taking it as amusement rather then Kurumi laughing at him to be mean. He smiled at the confirmation or his correct assessment, nodding as he brought the cards back to see it himself. Not that he doubted Kurumi at all and he knew how it was supposed to be from reading about it.

"Care for another demonstration or are you satisfied?" he asked with a small smirk. The second card he had flipped over as directions stated already in his mind for a repeat performance just in case.

Legend felt like he was going crazy. Absolute bonkers really. The seventh year ran a hand through his now extremely long hair. If he had known how much he really had to study for NEWTs he probably would have cared earlier in the term. But now he was stuck, cramming as much information in all subjects as he could. At the moment his attention was totally devoted to History of Magic.

Thea had been tucked in the corner for at least an hour. Was this some sort of joke? She had been pouring over the stupid clue for foreverrr. Oh, and not forgetting homework aswell. Sigh.

Flicking her wand at the parchment, a few aprks emitted from the tip. 'Whoops..' She muttered before quickly wafting at them with her hand. This was to hard.. and it was making her head hurt.

Well. He couldn't avoid him forever. He had to fix things before the term ended. Orlando slowly approached his ex-friend. It was awkward. It was bad. It had his stomach in knots ten times more than when he had met up with KT.

It had been stupid to avoid Legend. They were in the same House. They crossed each other in the common room, all the time. Not to mention, they slept in the same dormitory. Stupid, as always.

Like always, the boy pressured himself into a guilt trip - and perked up enough courage to speak. "Hey Legend .."

Kurumi leaned forward a bit more on her seat. Was he honestly asking that question? She probably wouldn't be satisfied until he had gone through the entire deck of cards!

"Please," she said innocently.

Legend turned the page in the textbook, his eyes completely glued and his lips parting slightly mumbling the words. "First rebellion happened in 1612 in Hogsmeade. The Goblins went and met up in...someplace....a pub..or place....Hogs Head?" His brows came together and he shook his head. No, no. That sounded wrong. Yet...the Hogs Head was more abandoned so it would make more sense than the other option which would be The Three Broomsticks.

So the Goblins met in Hogsmeade in 1962 to have tea in Hogs Head so they could plan a rebellion! "No!" As his eyes fell back on the paper, Legend literally hit himself in the head. "It was the Three Broomsticks." This studying was going to be the dead of him. As a voice broke his thoughts Legends head shot up.

Orlando! "Lando!" The seventh year jumped up and pulled the other boy into a hug.

He did not deserve it yet the older boy had pulled him into a hug. Orlando did not remember the last time, he had felt this bad. Reluctantly, he rose his own arms - hugging the blond boy back. "I am so sorry, Legend" he choked out, realizing tears were falling down his cheek.

All the guilt he had been trying to avoid hit him full on. "I acted so stupidly .. I acted so wrong .." he forced out, blinking away tears that fell.

The older lion knew Kurumi's answer even before she spoke for her leaning forward and watching him intensively was a dead giveaway. "Alright...then another demonstration you shall get," Simon replied with a chuckle at her innoscent request.

"What do you wager I can name the correct card once more?" he asked figuring to make it like she had with her own trick. Just a little interesting.

Woah. Orlando was crying. Legend dropped his arms before resting one on Orlando's shoulders. "Lando, don't." Orlando was crying. That was horrible. "I was wrong. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said I didn't want to be friends. You were only trying to look out for Katie. You...you did good." He grinned. It was a sleep deprived, tried grin, but it was a grin nonetheless.

Really, he just wanted all his friends to be okay. Like they were before. But a lot of things were ruined now and he hated that. It needed to be fixed.

Kurumi clapped her hands as Simon agreed to perform the trick again, but then her eyes narrowed in concentration. What did she wager? Kurumi didn't want to wager anything too crazy since, well, these card tricks were tricky and you never knew what was going to happen.

"A chocolate frog," she smiled. Worst case would be that neither of them would be giving out a chocolate frog to the other, right?

It was foolish. It was sad.

Orlando laughed awkwardly, when he realized that tears were falling. Wiping them away immediately - the boy nodded, glad to hear Legend say he was wrong to propose the idea of them being not friends. "I am s till sorry for punching you .." he tried again.

He wanted to keep apologizing. He really did.

"I was. I just .. it all just went to my head I think .. everything that was happening. You guys were just falling apart. I hated that. I did it .. cause even your friendship, our friendship - it seemed to have been crumbling."

Ronnie walked up to a girl she had seen around Hogwarts, but she'd never introduced herself. She sat down and smiled at the girl. "Hi there," she started. "I'm Ronnie Weasley, what's yours?" she said with a smile. "Oh, I hope I'm not interrupting something..." she said.

Simon nodded accepting Kurumi's wager for it seemed only fair to be the same as before to give them her a chance to double her pot and he to win back the chocolate frog he lost. "Very well then," he remarked, returning the deck of cards back behind his back and focusing once more. Not on what card was next but what he remembered at the card he saw himself when he revealed the previous one though technically one in the same.

Finally the captain brought them back around front to show the younger Gryffindor again. "I see the six of spades..." he predicted showing the card which was in this case the same card he spoke of. The trick was learned and executed correctly once more.

Kurumi clapped and a wide smile appeared on her face. "Brilliant," she exclaimed as she set her hands on her lap and leaned forward a bit more. "Simon, can you do three at once?" After all, he did have all the cards memorized in that brain of his. right? Or was this trick more based in Arithmancy and the number associated with each card were resonating with his Heart's Desire Number?

"Don't worry about it. It didn't hurt." Legend shook his head. First Neptune, then Orlando. Did they really think a little punch would kill him? NO he was Legend Chosen, good to get back on his feet in a couple of seconds. He was like a he-man. Invincible and awesome.

Legend signed. "Me and Katie are better. We're sorry for the whole friendship thing. And I'm sorry that you felt so bad." It really was (half or even more than that) his fault.

Ronnie walked to an empty table, and began writing a letter to her brother. She kept thinking about her dad, and needed someone to talk to. Hopefully he would talk to her and understand how she felt. She began writing......

I've been thinking about dad lately and have been very sad about it. I need someone to talk to, and you're the only one I feel comfortable talking to, other than mum. I just don't understand why dad would kill someone, he's not that kind of person. I'm really confused and want to know how the family is up there. Thank you for reading this.
