Meh.

Why was Carter sounding so happy? And why was he still piling his plate? Destiny wasn't even looking at him, and even with all the other noise around them, she could tell that the potatoes he was slapping onto his plate must have looked like some sort of sky scraper. He better eat it all, too. She didn't want the house elves to yell at her for him being wasteful.

Those creatures hated her. They would do something like that.

Only when he started rubbing her back did she peel her face from off the table. She shimmied a bit in her seat, as if she was trying to shake off his hand, but really, she was just trying to get him to scratch the itch she had for the last ten minutes. He obviously didn't get it. "I can't eat them potatoes, Carter." She sniffled a bit and pushed the bowl a little away from her. "They remind me of Patroclus.. They both begin with the letter P."

Wiliam comes back to the table happy.

Carter frowned. Destiny denying potatoes...? That wasn't good.

Oh no. And now Destiny was going to cry. He didn't do well with crying girls.

He quickly scanned the table.


Potatoes. Pie. Peas. Peaches.


What was with the food choices today?


Pork. Pudding. Pasta. Pumpkins.


There had to be something didn't start with P somewhere on the table.

"How about some" poached "eggs?" he suggested. That didn't technically start with P.

"You just at least have something to drink." he said scanning around, but the only option he could find was pumpkin juice.

Had they always had this many foods starting with P.

Evelyn was bored.

Really...bored.

Making her way into the great hall, her gaze searched the Gryffindor table for a particular boyfriend of hers, but, she didn't see him. Good Merlin, it was hard to find that boy sometimes.

However, she did see a lonely young lion sitting there. Well, she was bored and there was nothing better to do soooo...why not? The worst that could happen is complain to his gryffie mates about her, and that wasn't all that big of news to her. "Hello." she said pleasantly with a forced kind smile, standing just beside him. "Mind if I sit?" Be happy that she actually asked!

Destiny did not want to cry.

She had done enough of that already, and she did not want to cry in front of Carter. Especially over a boy. Sweet Merlin! He knew what she had done to him and Marie back in third year, and now there she was. Stupid growing up. She should have chose not to do that.

Sniffling a bit, she watched as Carter glanced around at all the food. Really. What WAS up with the choices? Everything seemed to begin with the letter P, and it made her want to go to the Slytherin table. Surely her own table wouldn't tease her like this. And she had made up her mind to do just that when Carter asked about eggs. "Eggs?" she wibbled, glancing at the plate before back at Carter. "I eat eggs with..pepper."

Why was life so CRUEL!?

"What kind of drink?" If he said pumpkin juice he was getting..punched.

" Hi" William smiled. " My name is William Montcenaggio aka Starr" he introduced himself to the older girl. " Please sit down " William told the girl. "So what do you think about the classes?" William asked the girl.

Hmmm, so, not only did she choose someone that looked like a first year, they also liked to talk. Well, if they didn't mind holding the conversation really, than that was fine by her. "Hey...Star." Star? Was that what he said his name was?

Hesitantly taking the seat, not daring to see who else may be looking, she eyed the food at this particular table. Yup, looked as gross as the stuff at the Slytherin table. "Boring." she answered in a mutter, glancing at him out of the corner of her eye. She supposed a one word answer wasn't all that good enough. "What do you think of that Transfiguration teacher?"

Ronnie walked into the great hall, and sat down at the Gryffindor house table by herself. She would of normally ran to her friends excitedly and sat next to them, but she didn't. She sat at the far end of the table where not many people were. She grabbed a few bits of food, not too much because she wasn't that hungry. She sighed and put her face in her hands and began to cry. She cried hard. She looked up and saw people staring at her. She took a napkin close to her and wiped her eyes, then slammed it back down hard on the table. Her face grew red and she stomped out of the Great Hall, eyes following her.

" Seems like everyone likes to call me by my last name Starr" Willaim told Evelyn. " I know your name because of all the classes" Willaim explained to Evelyn. " Guess you like more excviting classes?" Willaim asked Evelyn. " I can't make out what to think of the Transfiguration professor" William said to Evelyn. " I really liked the Pirate lesson in History of Magic" Willaim smiled.
Do you know a Slytherin girl named Fee? "Wiliam asked Evelyn.

Eh, well if everyone called him that, might as well go along with the crowd. Gryffie crowd. *shudder*

Eyebrows raising in surprise, her full gaze moved to him. Someone who actually knew her name. Goodness, that seemed rare nowadays and she always had to introduce herself. Not to mention someone who didn't have a clue as to what to think of Shaw. So far, a decent first year. "I think he should be fired." Simple as that.

Moving a goblet closer to her, she poured herself some pumpkin juice, mentally taking note that she should take her evening tea early today. "Feenella?" That girl? Third year? "Heard of her, but never met her. Why?"

" Well, what Shaw did with the cats was just really cruel" Willaim told Evelyn. " Fireing may be to nice for him, more like seexplained to Everlyn.nt to Azekaban" William said to Eveyln." Fee is a friend of mine, that's all" Wiliam
explained to Eveyln. " You know yo uare one of the few upperclassmen I talk to at HogWarts "Wiliam smiled. " Somehow through no fault of them, I feel uncomfortable around them" Willaim sighed.

She had to agree with him on the cat thing. Even if she did learn something from Shaw, he should've been in St. Mungo's. In the crazy ward. "Huh, yea." Azkaban. "Think he'd enjoy it there actually." Seriously.

Hmm... "You shouldn't be. You can learn a thing or two from them." Her? Give him advice? PFFFT. That would be preposterous! "Anyway, speaking of upperclassmen, do you know a Gryffindor named Josh? Josh Carter?"

" " He would probaly run St. Mungos and Azskeban" William told Evelyn. " Ok, Well, I probaly could learn a thing or two from the upper classmen" Willaim agreed with Evelyn. " I heard of a boy named Jodh Carter" William said to Evelyn. " I heard is quite a character, right?" William asked Evelyn.

Pepper... really? Couldn't she eat eggs with salt?

If Carter was a fan of poetic justice he would have thought that this would show Destiny exactly what she put him through years ago with Marie. Or he would have offered her a random decades old potion.

But he wasn't that cruel. In fact, he felt bad for Destiny.

"We don't have to call it that. We could... er... call it black... stuff. Or black salt." He didn't care what they called it as long as Destiny didn't start crying over it. He really didn't do well with that.

"What's there to drink...?" he asked a little nervously. There was pumpkin juice.

"Umm... water." he said. He drew his wand and pointed it at an empty goblet.

"Aguamenti."

Tah dah. Water.

He then held out the goblet toward her.

Hehe...

That was true.

Staring at her pumpkin juice filled goblet, she tapped the side of it, grinning. Hmmm. "Yea, he is." she nodded, glancing back to William. Probably not what most people described him as, so this was kinda...a tame version. Which was nice actually. "So, you probably wouldn't know where to find him, right?"

He did say he's heard of him. That didn't mean he actually knew him, did it?

Black stuff?

Black salt?

C'mon, Carter! Destiny was CLEARLY in a depression, and even she could come up with better things to call pepper. But she was too depressed to voice those things. Besides, she was kind of glad that he was trying to make her feel better. But she wouldn't say that either.

Wiping her nose with the sleeve of her shirt, Destiny pulled the plate of eggs closer to herself once more. She had come down to the great hall because she was hungry, and she wasn't leaving until she ate. Even if what she ate did begin with the letter P. *sniffle*

She took the goblet of boring water from him, and flashing him a small smile, she glanced down at his plate. He was trying to build a sky scraper, wasn't he? "Surely you can't eat all of that." She could, though.

" I think every house needs at least one character in it" Willaim told Evelyn. " I wish I knew where to find Jodh" William said to Evelyn. " We do not have the same freinds or even hang out at the same places "William explained to Evelyn. "Sorry" William sighed.

Well this was a bummer.

She was pretty much hoping he'd know where that boy went. She had another idea though, yet this young lion didn't seem like the idiot type. She could try her chances, couldn't she? "It's alright." she muttered, shrugging her shoulders some. "You know what would be great though?" Trying to sound a little more enthusiastic, Evelyn grinned mischievously, turning to William a bit.

"Is if you told me where the Gryffindor common room was." Yea, that would be fantastic.

" If I find Joshua, I will tell you" Willaim told Evelyn. " Even I know that you know we are not allowed to go into other common rooms except our own" William explained to Evelyn. "Good test for me, thanks" Willaim grinned.

Hmmm, yes, the stubborn Gryffindor sort. That was a bummer too.

Nonetheless, Evelyn smiled, resisting the urge to pat the young boy's head as if he were an actual little lion. "I never said I was going to go into the common room." Did she? "I didn't ask for the password. Just the location of it."

That was barely giving away information anyhow.

" Yes, you are right, you never said you were going to the common room" William told Evelyn. " The Common toom is by the Seventh Floor" William said to Evelyn. " Found Josh and told him you would like to talk to him" William explained to Evelyn.

Carter smiled back after Destiny smiled. Sure, hers was a small smile, but it was better than any sort of crying. Mission accomplished. He avoided a crisis.

He slid the pepper black stuff toward Destiny when he saw that she was pulling the plate toward her. He'd just prevented her from starving. Carter had officially made a difference in Destiny's life.

"I know you couldn't... but I can." he said glancing down at his plate. "And more. I am a growing boy after all." And athletic. Athletes needed way more food than normal people.

He then proceeded to prove it to her by taking a giant bite of food and washing it down with some pumpkin juice.

...

"Yea, but like...where is it?" She knew it was on the seventh floor, just...WHERE on the seventh floor? Well, at least she got THAT much information out of him. It wasn't a total failure. "Oh, much appreciated. Thanks."

And at least he was going to look for Josh and she didn't have to. Now, why did she want to see him again? Was there a specific reason or something? Huh...

" Sorry, that as much as I know about the common room" Willaim told Evelyn. " You are very welcome" Willaim said to Evelyn. " By the way. I took your advice and am talking to a few of the upper classmen and they are really cool" Wilaim expalined to Evelyn.

Jordan woke up and felt very good today. He took a look at the Daily Prophet and read the paper. He was getting hungry, and soon headed to the Great Hall. He was on a move to his day.
