Levi sat down towards the end of the Gryffindor table, looking tired. The train ride had been so long and exhausting--all he wanted to do was hurry up to his dorm and conk out for the night. But no. He had to watch the sorting, though he really couldn't have cared less about it. Once the procession was finished, he reached for some bread and took a bite. He wasn't very hungry, but he figured he couldn't have let it go to waste.
The fourth year glanced up at the table at the different students, watching as they caught up with each other after the break. They all seemed so content and with their colors, they were showing the true lion spirit. He didn't feel much like a lion right now. He felt more like a black sheep. He took another bite of the roll, shaking his head.
Ember grabbed a slice of bread from the Gryffindor table. " I should soo not be over here. But hey how could i leave you guys here all alone without me. You know i like you Gryffindors, your fun."
Ember turned to Jordan. " glad you liked them. Yes its good, but of course i miss you guys. Still, yer its cool."
Selina threw her arms around Hugo and giggled, "You're telling me. I haven't seen you in so long. I'm good. I'm boring, just playing a lot of Quidditch and studying for Potions so I don't blow anything up...again. What about you? How have you been?"
"Well Quidditch is not boring," Hugo chuckled as Selina let him go. "I want to try out this term," he said thinking about the firebolt that he had saved up for but had been in his trunk collecting dust all year. "I'm not nearly half as good as you though," he said nodding. He would probably not even make the team. "I've been great. Had a nice summer. I went to New York with Fee which was a lot of fun, and I went back home to Scotland," it was pretty weird to call Scotland home even though he had a clearly English accent. But yeah, he lived there now. "I've been reading a lot too. I think I finally learned the Undetectable Extension Charm which is quite hard to do!" he told Selina.

Nika smiled as she saw a familiar face. Even though the kid probably didn't enjoy her rather overly cheerfulness she bounced up and down anyways. "Hey SEPTIMUS!" AHH that name. Hehe, every time.
"Nika! Hi!" Septimus was so glad to see a familiar face he jumped and banged his knees on the underside of the table by mistake. "Ow...So, how was your summer?"

It was decided.
Destiny Shepard was going to expand her horizons and leave the Slytherin table to visit the others. The first stop on her adventure would be the Gryffindor table. Sure, it was the farthest away from her own, but there was a certain Perfect Prefect she wanted to say hello to.
Now where was Patroclus?
Skipping her way over, she let her eyes scan the people, looking for that shiny badge of his. GAH! There were so many people and she couldn't see him! She was almost tempted to climb up onto the table and shout his name, but she decided that would be a little too much. Besides, they didn't need anyone else shouting, they already had Josh. Why did he have to be so loud!? He was making her lose her concentration for finding Patroclus!
Cringing at the voice, Destiny picked up a rather large carrot from the table before stalking her way over to Josh. She'd shut him up, she would!
"JOSH!" she called out, poking him on the side of the face with the carrot. "WHY ARE YOU SO LOUD ALL THE TIME!?"

Legend turned his head back to his other house mates. More specifically the annoying Denver. Well..she wasn't really annoying. But he'd call her that. Not out loud though. That would just be asking for trouble and Legend wasn't that stupid.
He knew girls were dangerous.
"WHAT'S UP LEXI???" He purposely yelled loudly, a small smirk appearing on his face as he did it. That girl had a problem with his volume. "What happened to your face?" The words were blurted out once he realized her split lip and bruise.

No time for loud yelling now. No. Katie was here and he didn't even want to TALK to her. Not even LOOK at her. But Legend wasn't stupid. He realized that, that was childish. And he wasn't a child anymore. In a few days he'd be 17. A legal adult in the wizarding world. He couldn't act childish when it came to friendship or other important stuff.
...But that still didn't mean that he didn't want to see Katie's face.
"I was there! Hanging out with this chocolate eating third year and a firstie. And Pluto." Because Legend attracted little kids like garbage attracted flies. They just leached on to him. "How was your Summer Orlando?"
Legend faintly noticed the small Crup in Katie's arms. She hadn't given him it yet? Strange. "Hello Katie. How was your Summer?" He actually didn't know. Nor did he care. Or maybe he did care. But he just didn't care enough to see if he actually cared. Yeah..that was it. "What do you mean what happened?" His hand reached for his goblet of Pumpkin Juice, taking a slip while trying to avoid the awkward conversation. He wasn't going to tell Lando. Nope. Sure they had broken up, but this was much more than just that, and he doubted that Katie even realized it.

As if she wasn't already folding into herself (and the cruppy cradled in her arms), Kaitlynnh cringed at formal, if not emotionless tone Legend spoke to her in. Katie, he called her. The last months before summer hit it was 'Cub', after that.. nothing. She had avoided being in the same general area as him if she could help it. The night before was the first time in almost two full months she had seen him, and that was only at Alexis' request that they both had to be there at the hospital with the rest of either families.
It was sad. This was not how it was suppose to be, not how her seventh year was meant to be spent. Legend wasn't suppose to.. hate her? He hated her now, didn't he? Kaitlynnh wouldn't have doubted it, and yet she knew there was nothing she could do, nothing she could say to fix things between them. Atleast not right now. But would ignoring his question do any good? No, probably not. Though she doubted he honestly wanted to know the answer, she was also aware not saying anything probably wouldn't help the situation. Especially not with Lando sitting right next to her, looking on as confused as he currently was. Katie shrugged. "Awful." The word barely slipped through her lips, a mere mumble under the chatter of the Great Hall. Before she could force herself to return the question as normally as she could, Lando blurted out a question the Hufflepuff was somehow hoping to avoid, and Legend's response was the least helpful of all. He was better off keeping his mouth shut in that moment. Not for her, but for Lando.
A sigh escaped Kaitlynnh, raising her head a bit more, she pushed away stray strands of dark hair from her face and shifted in her seat to face the younger Gryffindor boy better. "Lando.. here," Carefully lifting the sleeping cruppy, the seventh year placed the crup puppy in his arms, "I had this whole little speech in mind but.. it's gone now, and doesn't seem so important either. Legend and I decided at the end of last term that you were going to need something to keep you busy with us gone next year, so we got you a cruppy."
It was annoying. And frustrating. Orlando was not used to feeling like this. But it seemed, he had been getting frustrated over stuff way too easily for some time now. The more he grew, the more things got complicated and the more frustrated he got. Baaaah. It was alarming that he could so easily sense the tension that seemed to be brewing between his two best friends.
That was certainly not how he had been hoping to start his new term.
Drama already, it seemed. BOO.
He wandered, if he was allowed to grumble and mumble and demand they fix whatever it was that was happening between them so Orlando could be free of this terrible feeling in the pit of his stomach. It was no good. "It was fine .. same old" he mumbled, when Legend asked him how was his summer. How was he suppose to gloat over the fact that Landon had started teaching him Muggle driving when he had this terrible feeling in his stomach.
When his question did not get a satisfactory response, Orlando found himself picking up a fork and stabbing it into the first piece of edible item he could reach. WELL if he couldn't grumble and mumble and complain, he could perhaps eat and eat a lot to shoo away the terrible feeling in his stomach.
Orlando turned toward KT, when her small sigh got directed toward him. The bloody sighs. ORLANDO HATED THE SIGHS. WHY DID THEY EXIST. They made you sad! Magic folk should just magic it away really. He left the fork and carefully took the crup from KT's hand when she gave it to him. His eyes widened at what she said - a small grin creeping on his lips, even though the situation partially sucked! "Really?" he whispered, his eyes dropping toward the crup - as if seeing it for the first time. HIS OWN CRUP.
Orlando had a distant urge to squeal - but instead, he felt his gooey heart beat against his chest in a very strong way. He did what he knew best - he reached forward and wrapped his one arm round KT and pulled her into a hug.
Orlando could not understand the feeling. IT was too overwhelming - perhaps he was close to crying. OH GOD! CRYING. MAN. NO. NO. NO. He was sixteen, he could not! HE COULD NOT. His heart was acting on it's own accord though - he was surprised when his voice came out all choked when he spoke, still hugging the girl. "I am seriously going to miss you a lot .. Kaitlynnh." It was not a good bye. He had a whole term left with her - yet, he felt sad already. The odd, sad feeling he had felt during the summer - which he had controlled and promised himself he won't feel through out the term, hitting him full on. "Thank you!" He whispered, squeezing her a little before pulling back.
He turned to Legend and grinned a little. "Thanks man!" he said, grateful that his voice did not choke out into something very emotional. "Thanks both of you!"

"Thanks." he said as he flattened his green and silver tie. "No, I haven't owled my parents yet. Maybe after the feast." he said. "Well, things got crazy back at the train I wasn't able to say 'see you' properly. And yes, thanks for letting me stay in your compartment. I never got to say thanks." he grinned.
"So Gryffindor. Your family will be proud I'm sure."

Ariadne was curious.
'Merlin's beard! I have been talking for so long and haven't told you my name?!?' she asked, shocked. 'How rude of me. I'm Ariadne Marchbanks, or Ari, for short.' she finally introduced herself.

Ari was glad she managed to make hersealf heard through all the noise, which meant Mordred was coming over. 'Thanks. Green suits you.' she smiled, eyeing his tie. 'I should owl my mum after the feast too, but I'm not sure about the proud part. I mean Gryffindor is a very good house, but breaking the family tradition won't bring so much joy back home.' the girl explained. 'But anyway, I'm happy beyond imagination.' she grinned.

And don't worry about it, everyone was pushing and passing by as the train stopped, you couldn't recognise anyone through the madness.' 'So, what are your fellow housemates like? Mordred smirked at the 'Huff' remark. "I was just being polite." he grinned. "Polite isn't the first adjective you'd use to describe a Slytherin, yes? But being polite is part of my upbringing as a member of the noble house of Blacks. I say, here in Hogwarts -- Slytherin is the noble House and I'm part of it." he smiled.
"How can they not be proud? It's the house of heroes." he replied. "But yes, I know where you're coming from. Tradition can be a headache." he said.
"My fellow Slytherins? Their personalities are extreme." he said as he looked at their table. "I'm thankful that the two first years I met back at Diagon Alley were sorted in Slytherin." he added. "You?" Mordred asked as he looked around him. It was quite awkward to be in a different house and everyone's staring at him.

Elle wandered over to a couple of people, sat down, and starting eating. She obviously overheard some of their conversation and decided she could try to get in on it. Elle glanced over everyone's faces, and stopped at a fellow First Year girl. She could hear that her name was Ariadne, so she just jumped in and said,
"Hello, Ariadne! I'm Elle! I was hoping to make a few friends here at dinner, but it's just so overwhelming being in this gorgeous castle!"

Selina having left him for further down the table, Simon looked around for another familair face, the search harder this time since the table had been filling up with more and more of the incoming first years and transfers and the like. Sighing he glanced at the Ravenclaw table in hopes of seeing one of the two girls upperclass girls he was friends with but as he looked he was interrupted by a ver familair face just as loud and attention-getting as usual.
"There you are Josh," he replied with a laugh and a shake of the head at the boy's antics as he got up and shifted closer. "Nope no kicking eagles for me," he mused. It seemed he wasn't the only one as Destiny joined the pair, the captain innoscently watching quietly as the Slytherin girl poked his best friend with a carrot as if to emphasize her words.

After a moment or two of silence, Jordan began eating again, as he was very hungry. His stomach felt like a empty water bottle that needed to be refilled. "Time to dig in, again." He thought to himself while checking to see how late it was outside.
Replying to Septimus, "Ha ha, I bet. Well now that your in my house, I reckon I'll see you alot more in the Common Rooms."

"Hi! I'm Elle Jackson! Great to meet you, also. What year are you?" Elle replied. She was excited to be meeting new people so soon. Ariella seemed really nice, so Elle hoped they would have several classes together.
"Disappearing??" Nika gasped. What? Disappearing? Why is it that such weird things tend to happen at wizard schools. "It is! Well a lot of stuff! Last term I went down to the lake a lot and the football field." FOOTBALL! "But I think in America you call it erm- soccer right?" Yeah, soccer. That sounds right. "The lake is a lot of fun! Everyone hangs out there and I'm friends with the giant squid. Me and my friend call him Mr. Squides." But Rex has graduated now... Oh so sad. "I know a lot of people like to play Quidditch too. I just watch though, I can't fly for my life." She said with a giggle.
"Yeah, we live in a small surf town in California, so it was a shock that it happened. But, I guess it's always the small towns right?" Cove asked. "The girl was a first year student. She was also a shop owners kid. My friend, we worked together at the surf shack." Cove said gravely. "Then another kid went missing and another. They shut the school down and gave us recomendations to which schools each one of us should go to. John and I are the only one's that got picked for Hogwarts." She said cheerfully. "You like soccer!? I love soccer!" She exclaimed. "There's a giant squid named Mr.Squides!?" Cove was all to happy now. "Neither can I, but I love watching it. But we mostly had a surf team at my school. I was the girl's caption. John was the boy's." Cove said. She missed the waves and the sand, but her parents said it was safer for her here.
"Of course! How could I forget?" Chris said happily, greeting her old friend. "It's been forever! Last term seems like a lifetime ago." It was fantastic to finally see a familiar face in the see of students, and Chris couldn't help but smile.
"Fantastic, thank you" she gave a slight curtsy. It was he new thing lately. She always wished she could go back to the 1800's where men were mostly gentleman and women were treated with respect, but anyways... "How was your summer?"
She put a book down on the table that she took a fancy to, she couldn't wait for Charms to start.
