She pulled a tiny wooden box out of her bag and began to make more. Then she could give them to all of the friends she'd never met.

Elyon moved to the floor in front of the unlit fireplace and continued there. She'd much rather sit on the floor than in a chair. She'd rather be up in a tree or on some grass, but unfortunatley, the common room didn't have those. She wondered what'd it be like if they did have trees in there......

Emily staggered into the common room, her arms full of books. And heavy ones at that! Her arms were aching from carrying them up from the library.
She took a seat by the fire and dropped the books on the floor next to her. Phew.
Picking up the top one she turned to the first page. Reading by the fire. Boy this was heaven!
She glanced up and noticed a girl by the fire... making a cork necklace? Alright... She smiled over to her. "Nice neaklace!" she commented, Not really her taste of jewelry but they were... unusual.

Ella smiled. 'I'm Ella-May Eden. But obviously you can just call me Ella.' She grinned again, fiddling with the bracelets aorund her wrist. 'Um.. I'm not too sure to be honest.. hit something a number of times? Possibly throw a few kicks in?' It sounded easy enough. Ella laughed. 'I really have no idea.. make it up as we go along? I nearly forgot to ask! What's your name? Right, sorry if I tread on your toes, but I've got two left feet!' Rose grinned.

" Yes, you are a great keeper and a great chaser" Willaim explained to Carter. " My cousin Rex Trigwell did not make the team when he treid out and then hurt himself and never could recover" William sighed. " My soon to be cousin by marriage Jason Potter Weasley played Beater for an earlir Gryffindor Championship team" William smiled.
God luck, but you do not need it" he told Carter. " You did great at todays tryout and I just did average" William said to him. " I probably a couple of more tryouts to see if I can make the team" William sighed again.

Carter chuckled a little. "Thanks man. I'm honored." he said patting the kid on the shoulder. He'd never been someone's idol before. It was kinda cool. Was he even old enough for someone to look up to him?

"Thanks." he said again with a smile as William complimented him. Perhaps he needed to keep the boy around. One could never tire of being called 'great' all the time.

His smile momentarily faded as William mentioned his cousin. Carter remembered Rex. He once missed a game because Rex blamed something Marie did on him. "Yeah. I knew both of them. Jason was a good guy. We played on the same team when Gryffindor won the championship."

"You did great too. I hope to see you one day on the pitch in quidditch robes." he said ruffling the boy's hair again.

Carter then smiled at the first year. "You know... I'm a muggle-born. I'm not sure what it's like to have a lot of people in my family going to the same school - let alone all be in the same house... but it must be hard to always be compared to them. I'm not saying that you shouldn't look up to them or anything, but you shouldn't try to be them. Things are much more rewarding when you make a name for yourself and not care what everyone else thinks."

"Plus, it's A LOT more fun trying new things and finding out what you like." he added with a smirk.

But I can't attend all the practices ! They won't fit my schedule !". She was so dissapointed. She loved quidditch, but it was a side activity. besides, lots of people signed up. But she suddenly realized something."err.. Evie, I think quidditch sign ups are over.."

"Oh, really... are they over, well damn maybe i can try again next year."replied Evie. "probably wouldn't have gotten a spot anyway, there would've been to many people signing up besides it probably wouldn't have fit my schedule either." said Evie.

"So, Janet whats your family like do you have any siblings or are you an only child like me?" asked Evie.

Anyone ?

Anthology of Eighteenth Century Charms was actually interesting, thought Sarah as she turned page 123. She had been spending a lot of time reading books. Spotted everywhere she goes, with a book in her hand. Getting used to places takes a lot of time, and the best solution I have is, books! she thought smiling slyly. As she was reading with interest, her bag slipped and fell with a loud "Thud!".

She jumped from her seat with a shrill scream. The weight of the bag was so large that the sound was so intense. All her books, Basic Hexes for the Busy and Vexed, Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration, Ancient Runes Made Easy and her favourite book Curses and Counter-curses had met with a tear, papers flew from it. She picked up the books with embarrassment and hurry, dropping some due to tension. She had been reading second year books, and she didn't want anyone to know that. Possibly, it didn't fall on anyone? she thought. She stood up and said, "Sorry" to the people near by.

Zara pouted. Fine. She wouldn't push the matter anymore, but still, she wasn't giving up. Not now, not for the second time around.

Trying to change the subject she asked, "Have you ever had an out of this world experience in Hogwarts?"

Why can't it just be, like, the macerena!' Rose groaned. 'Right, oh, yeah! Hi, William! I always forget something when talking! It's only polite to say 'hi' first! Emily had quietly been reading her pile of books by the fire, when she noticed someone else reading. Aw, she liked knowing she wasn't the only one who read! Turning the page of her book she read quietly then jumped up as she heard a THUD and scream. Instinctivally she pulled out her wand and looked around, like a monster had just burst through the door. But... It was only someone dropping their books. Oh. Well she did that a lot.

She put her wand back in her pocket then went over to the girl. She coudn't be much younger than her. "Here." she said collecting some of the books and passing them to her. She glanced at the titles of each one as she passed them, then stood up and smiled at the girl. "So I see you like to read then?" With that many books she had to. Like her!

Ooooohhhhh! She had a lot in common with this girl! "The library is my favourite place too! Although I do prefer reading in the cosy common room by a warm fire... even if sometimes it can be loud." She looked at everyone else in the common room. "I love magical and muggle books alike! My ambition is to read the whole Hogwarts library before I leave school." "Thanks" she giggled. It really was silly... but not impossible.
"Oh, did you go to a muggle school?" She had, but she didn't like to talk about it. Those had been the worst days of her life.
"A first year. Cool. I'm in second year. I thought you coudn't be any older than me." she noticed Sarah tried to cover her books. Why would she do that? "You read high for your year." she commented giving her a smile. There was nothing to be nervous about! "It's ok you know. I'm only in second year and I've read third and fourth year books. My sister's given me all her old ones. It's really useful, 'cause you know spells and information before anyone else in your year!" If you enjoy reading it shoudn't matter what you read. And she liked the feeling of being smart. It made a change than when she was back at her house.
