The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through.
"Oddsbodikins!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes.
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby.
"Yeah, I suppose so," Tayla replied. "I sent her a chocolate frog earlier today. Let my owl Marigold take it all the way to Canada, where we live. I hope Marigold's okay...Do you have an owl?"
"All the way to Canada!? That's a long flight!" She hoped the owl would be okay. "Yeah, he's names Carnie. My little brother named him. He said he looked like he was suppose to be in a circus." Cove shugged her shoulders.

"Nice to meet you too, Kurumi. I'm a fourth year." Cove shook Kurumi's hand. "So are you Japanese?" She asked. "Sorry if that was so stright foreward. I'm quarter Korean, that's why." Cove twirled a strand of her blonde hair. Cove didn't look Asian at all, no one ever belived her.

OOC- Sorry if I repeated some of the same things. I had not been on the computer in a while.
"Ha, yeha, one that would probably kill each other by the end of the day." Cove laughed. "I guess so, but I can only play two. Most people that play violin can play piano, but not many." She said. "Surfing's a sport, I considder it a hobbie. But, you play Quidditch though, right?"
Without any thought Legend jumped up onto the coffee table and began to wave his hands around like mad. "ALRIGHT LISTEN UP! I WANT EVERYONE'S ATTENTION FOR A FEW MINUTES!" His voice boomed loudly through the room without even a charm. Looking around to make sure at least some people were paying attention he began to speak. "Hello. Good evening. Now many of you may know me by my name- Legend Chosen. While others might know me as 'that guy who lost of 15 points at the opening feast.' And that's pretty true. I AM that guy who lost 15 points at the feast. HOWEVER, to be really honest with you I think I did you all I favor. I did not lose points for speaking back, or pulling pranks, or flirting with Professors." Flirting with Professors. That was just mad. "I lost points for something that there was no rule agaisnt. I lost points because I sat down with the staff on the other side of the staff table. So in all honesty I did you lot a favor. Now you know it's agaisnt the rules, whereas it was in that uncertain gray area before. So BE HAPPY and stop acting like a bunch of whiny brats." And that was all. He jumped down from the table, hoping that, that was the end of everything.
After all it was so easy to earn 15 points back.
Wisteria turned and slightly gasped at the sudden loud announcement. She listened… Oh so that’s why we lost 15 points, she thought feeling a bit satisfied. I wonder why he even thought to sit at the staff table… that’s not important. Hmm, 15 points isn’t that big of deal, poor guy I hope he wasn’t being bothered too much.

Okay so maybe not forever... but still. "I'm doing wonderful! How about you?"
Witsy was still walking but made a sudden stop once she kept talking. “So I’ve heard; poor Rex. I’m not one to judge but I hope they’re both okay. I Haven’t received any letters, have you?”

" I am glad Rex is a hero, but I can't say anything more than that to you" he told her. " You are right, Rex does not need it, but he really needed to be loved" he said to her." I guess hoping his girlfriend with her boys" Willaim smiled.
She reposition herself sitting Indian-style. “Well I would love to be the seeker but as long as I make the team I’ll be happy.” Wisteria dropped her head onto her wrist. “I miss him, honestly. 'You're asking me if I want to go to the LIBRARY?' Ari laughed. 'It goes without saying. I love reading, and I practically grew up in my mother's bookshop. At least, I've spent more time there than home.' the child chuckled.
'Anyway, I do have an ulterior motive for wanting to check out the yearbooks. I'm curious to find out more about my great-grandmother, Griselda Marchbanks.' Ariadne confessed.
"Great!" Tayla replied. "I absolutely love reading, too! My dad - he works as a lawyer - he has this office at home with shelves of books. Shortly after I got my letter, Mum showed me one shelf dedicated to magic. She hid it with some spell, but it's there and all the books - well, I stare at them and read them like my eyes are starving!" Tayla chuckled. "I'm so glad I made a friend who loves reading, too!"
Tayla moved as if to stand up. "Let's go to the library now, if you're ready. I can help you search for your great-grandma as well."

First year? His smile grew. "Awesome! Nice to meet you Tayla! I'm Legend Chosen. Seventh year. If you need anything or any Snakes pick on anything just call me." He always seemed to find at least one first year, every year.
Legend knew that something was wrong instantly as some of his house mates replied back in cold tones. The sixteen year old rolled his eyes as Patroclus began to speak. So this was about the points? Honestly?

"That's a very cool name!" Tayla grinned. "I've been meeting a lot of seventh and sixth years lately." she thought, her eyes darting to the boy with long dark hair she had a crush on. She wondered if Legend knew him, but was too shy to ask.
Tayla jumped when Legend shouted irritably. "A professor took points from you?! Which one? I went to the hourglasses earlier and yeah...It's sad we lost points at the start of term, but we have many months ahead to gain more!" Tayla said bracingly. "So Legend," Tayla continued, moving the subject away from losing points. "What are you planning to do after leaving Hogwarts?"
"It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you are not."

'Wow, so everything besides Hufflepuff. Sounds like an amazing family.' Ari commented. 'I find genealogy fascinating, I'd like to track down my ancestors.' she mused.
"Tell you a secret," Kurumi smiled leaning in a bit closer to the first year and lowering her voice. "I kind of did too." She then threw her head back and giggled. "Someone once told me that courage comes in many forms. What images we associate with courage, may not be the way that it manifests itself in ourselves." She looked over her shoulder at Ari. "I'm still trying to find my inner Gryffindor courage as well. We can try to discover that together."
Kurumi laughed again. She had never really thought about it that way, but it did seem to be that no one had ever bragged about their family coming from a long line of Hufflepuffs. "Really?" Kurumi squeaked feeling a bit interested. Her family history was rather easy to trace back, at least on her mother's side. "I...I have been doing a bit of family research myself. D-D-Do you have any tips or advice on how to do genealogy efficiently?"

This boy had a bright smile, but it was still nothing compared to Treyen's. No need to bring out the sunglasses for this Gryffindor yet.
"Y-Y-You don't like sweets?!" Kurumi gasped, perhaps a little louder than was really necessary for the situation. Well, she supposed that ruled out offering him any of her Gryffindor house cookies.
"I don't see why I can't be sitting down," she replied tilting to head to the side. She wasn't sure what looks had to do with where one sat, but she was comfortable enough on the floor. Much easier access to the fire as well.
"I'm Kurumi, Kurumi Hollingberry," she blushed, bowing her head a bit in greeting. "A-A-Are you a transfer student? I-I don't believe I have seen you around Hogwarts before."

Kurumi decided to keep her thoughts to herself and returned her gaze to her second marshmallow attempt. Surely it was implied that unless you were STAFF you could not sit at the STAFF table. At least he hadn't tried to take the Headmaster's seat as well. Gryffindor would probably be down some hundred points or so.

Evie awoke to the sound of someone near her and realised that there was a young girl talking to her who looked about Evie's age,"H-hello" replied Evie clearing her throat "Sorry, just a bit tired oh yeah my name is Evie, Evie Rose Annabuya its nice to meet you Janet," said Evie giving the girl a dazzling smile. 'Finally i might make a friend' she thought to herself.
"Oh, hi there, Evie !", she said."You're in the first year, right ?? Is this your first term here ??". Janet was so happy to finally get a friend she can't stop smiling.
Now it was Kurumi's turn to stare at the girl in disbelief. "H-H-How did you know my mother and I don't have the best of relationships?" she asked nervously. She hadn't said anything just now, only thought it.
Zara was confused. Kurumi just told her about it, probably she forgot. "Kurumi, you just told it to me a while ago. You said your mom would be displeased if your skills are less than perfect in her eyes," Zara smiled as she refreshed Kurumi's memory. Zara was still clearly looking forward to the trip at the Room of Requirement. She knew it came at a time most people needed it, but Zara didn't know how it appeared. Would it appear out of nowhere? Oh well, for now, she'd have to wait.

"Alright then. Don't worry, I've never once gotten hurt in the sky..." Never once did Selina ever fall off her broom, have a collision, be the cause of someone else's injury. So she knew Kurumi would be safe with her in the sky. And maybe tomorrow she would take her a little higher up for some practice.
"It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you are not."

Kurumi nodded. It would be nice to fly with Selina again. The short time they had practice during the summer holiday had really given her a confidence boost. Perhaps she would even get over ten feet this time! "Thanks again, Selina," she chirped.

Zara was still clearly looking forward to the trip at the Room of Requirement. She knew it came at a time most people needed it, but Zara didn't know how it appeared. Would it appear out of nowhere? Oh well, for now, she'd have to wait.
Kurumi's body slumped down a bit from embarrassment. Clearly, her mind was on other things at the moment. "Oh...I did mention that," she giggled scratching the back of her neck. "Just let me know when you want to try and find the Room of Requirement. I have been meaning to stop by there myself, so we can go together."

Kurumi nodded. It would be nice to fly with Selina again. The short time they had practice during the summer holiday had really given her a confidence boost. Perhaps she would even get over ten feet this time! "Thanks again, Selina," she chirped.
"No problem," Selina smiled.
She wanted to take a new s'more but was afraid she would judge her. So she just stared at the s'more longing.

Dominic Zabini, a.k.a one of the new kids, walked into the Gryffindor Common Room and grabbed a seat by the fire place. He felt so majestic sitting in the red room. He felt courageous. The dark haired fourteen year old turned to a cute girl. She looked like she was in her third or fourth year. He decided that he would introduce himself to her.
"Hey, I don't believe that we have met before. I'm Dominic Zabini, but call me Dom. And you are?" he asked politely but with a huge smile on his face. Suave. Be Suave Dom.

"Just let me know when you want to try and find the Room of Requirement. I have been meaning to stop by there myself, so we can go together."
As if Kurumi had read her mind! That was amazing, maybe she was a Legili--nahh. She was just probably good at predicting. Zara smiled, "Sure! Maybe tomorrow. Yeah, tomorrow sounds good." She had lots of plans planned for tomorrow. To add it all up, her main goal for the next day was to attend classes and do her best in it. Yeah, that was a first year attitude. Zara was sure in the next terms, she'd be so free and careless. Oh who cared, right now she was good old Zara, behaved in every move.
Kurumi had begun to be one of Zara's favorite Gryffies. But of course, the top of the list was Matt. Yep, goody Matt was her best friend even if girls freaked him out. Then there was Kurumi, then Ella, then Tayla. Zara grinned, she loved her fellow Gryffindors. "Since you've been here for quite a while, do you mind if you tell me a little something about our professors? So that I'd be able to stay away from the scary and strict ones just in case." And her smile turned sheepish. Zara blushed, embarrassed that she was asking what she was asking. Kurumi had probably been thinking now that Zara was a coward and did not deserve to be in Gryffindor. But Zara just wanted a warning, that's all. It wouldn't hurt to know a little of your boss before going to work; it was the same for school. Know your professors before entering class.
"No I haven't." she said a bit disappointed. "But I did send him one not too long ago! I miss him so much!" Of course she missed him. They were best friends. "So what's up with you?"
"That's odd well hopefully he'll write you back soon." She notices that she was a bit sad... she only wished she could do something to help. "I know you both were close it must be hard for you." She paused for a moment just seeing how she was.
She took a deep breath and folded her hands on her lap. "Nothing much yet. Potions started and I'm feeling pretty good about that, but what I really can't wait for are the tryouts for quidditch. Have you any interest of playing?"

Wisteria felt moved that she found another friend who was encouraging. "Thank you, I do miss him," she said with a smile looking down at her shoes. "What classes are you taking this term?" She hoped it was Potions cuz then that way not only was she in her favorite class, but she would also have a friend too.
The Path Ways? she thought, "The Path Ways, of course," she leaned a bit closer, "When?"

"Tomorrow after classes perhaps," she smiled. "Good way to relieve stress." At least, her mother had always insisted that playing classical piano had that effect. Kurumi preferred sparring with her brothers to be honest.
Kurumi frowned. She HAD been at the school for two full terms now, but there were so many changes this term that the playing field had been evened out. "Well, there are a lot of new professors this term...and a few of them have been appointed by the Ministry of Magic, which alarms me," she said with a slight quiver in her voice. "But, I am sure there is nothing to worry about. Headmaster Tate would never allow anything bad to happen to his students." She scratched her head for a moment. "Professor Zookara, the Muggle Studies professor, is brilliant and has a very extensive rubber duck collection in his office. I visit him sometimes. Professor Hadley is also fantastic and I enjoy Arithmancy a lot. There is also Professor Bishop who is really kind and has a pet phoenix," she explained. Which reminded her that she needed to pay Professors Hadley and Bishop a visit. "Drag---, I mean, Professor Lafay frightens me. She is brilliant, but frightening....she removed a bone from my arm last term turning Potions so that I could test another student's potion."

Looking up from her Arithmancy textbook, Kurumi felt her cheeks flush just a bit when she saw a slightly older looking boy smiling at her. She really needed to work on not getting so flustered around older students. It was rather embarrassing.
"H-H-Hello," she said bowing her head and fumbling for her bookmark to place back in her text. "It's nice to meet you Dominic." She squeaked. "S-S-S-Sorry! I mean Dom!" Could she hide under her robe's hood now? No, that would just make her look even more ridiculous than she already had. "My name is Kurumi, Kurumi Hollingberry," she said having now regained her composure a bit. "W-Would you like to sit down?" she said as she gestured to the open space beside her that had been occupied by her cat, Walnut a few minutes earlier.

Selina did not hesitate to grab the plate and shove the s'more down her throat. Her west tooth was one of her down falls. Give her a sweet and she would be completely at that person's will. Her fingers than grabbed another marshmallow and began to roast it in the fite for another.
She turned to Kurumi and said sheepishly, "I like food... I'm an athlete don't judge me."

Kurumi laughed and shook her head. "I'm not judging you!" She picked up her first successfully made s'more and nibbled on it. "Back when I was playing kendo all the time with my brothers, I could eat a lot as well. Not so much sweets though," which probably sounded hilarious coming from Kurumi. "I loved eating salmon rice balls."
She nibbled a bit more on her s'more.
"You need to keep up your strength with tryouts approaching." Although, Kurumi was pretty certain that Selina would make the team again anyway.

Lexi grabbed a mallow from the huge bag and tossed one toward his mouth. Hehe. "Better idea than the pasta toss in Athens. Hehehe," she said with a fit of giggles.
Lexi blushed slightly. She KNEW she was gushing a bit about his parents and thanking him profusely... but she just wasn't used to people being so nice and loving toward her. "It's nothing big... just a small token of gratitude." She felt her cheeks flushing more when Pat actually said it was no trouble... she thought of herself as a burden most of the time, so...
Tossing him a skewer and all the fixings she settled back on the sofa, feet in the seat, and smiled around her as she nibbled her s'more.
Patroclus burst into stomach-ache causing laughter, "Gah! That was the funniest thing ever!" He cried, wiping his eyes the tears of laughter streaming down his face as he recalled the memory of the three of them throwing pasta at each other, their faces red with sauce by the end of it all, "Ahhh good times" he sighed in reflection, before letting another giggle out.
Nibbling on a s'more he listened to Lexi plead her reasoning, "Lexi you presence of the trip was a present enough, it truly was a great holiday!" He was telling the truth, he and Lexi had always been close as friend, but the trip had seemed to bring them even closer, and he had really missed them once they said goodbye at Thira.

"Y-Y-You're welcome," she squeaked softly as she eyed the bag of marshmallows.
"I will attach it to my book bag," Patroclus smiled holding the charm in his hands, "That way my feet will be protected at all times!" On further thinking the charm really did suit him, he loved to dance around, jump around, run around, hop around and they all need the use of his feet, so now he had insurence on them "Thanks again Kurumi!" He gushed, pinching her little check softly.
"How was Kyoto?"

This is going to be good, thought Patroclus rolling his eyes as Legend stood on the coffee table and declared the loss of points a miscarriage of Justice......
"Well as long as by the end of Term you have earned at least twice the amounts of the points that you have lost, we wil all forgive you!" The Prefect called in reply, "After all, we need to cream all those other houses again this term, Lions for the Win!"
Kurumi laughed and shook her head. "I'm not judging you!" She picked up her first successfully made s'more and nibbled on it. Selina began to make her next s'more while Kurumi explained her Kendo days and the eating habits that came with it. She pulled the gooey marshmallow off of her stick and stuck it on the sweet gram cracker. Than she added some chocolate to the mix, but then an idea popped into her head. She raised her wand and said, "Accio peanut butter." A jar of peanut butter flew down from the girl's dormitory's and Selina added that to her s'more.
"Why did you stop doing Kendo Kurumi?" It was a question that had always been on Selina's mind. If you love a sport, why stop?
"And yeah I know... although chocolate, marshmallows, and peanut butter may not be the best energy wise for my strength..."

He ate and ate, and ate and ate, then ate some more, stopped, ate a muffin, some cereal, a bit of roast chicken maybe, then went to sleep. And yet, he remained as skinny as a broom, all bone and limbs. He looked and walked a bit like a drunk giraffe sometimes, all flailing this way and that. And when he was going through a bit of a musical faze, he would strap a guitar to his back. Everyone would always scarper when he entered the room, hugging their hot drinks to their chests. He was a health hazard; the first year grinned.
He yawned and placed his hands behind his head. Cute, huh? "I don't think my mum would be too happy about that." he said, a small blush tainting his cheeks. "And I'll have you know, I'm adorable." He winked up at her, bringing his knees to his chest.
Ella shrugged. 'She'll probably lock you in the shed then.. and make me bring you home every holiday we get..' Ella looked up slightly, checkingMatt's expression. He'd probably think she was being serious. Teheh.
Raising her eyebrows she began to jingle her bracelets about again. 'Merh, I sure you are.. in your own very special way..' Ella grinned. Going slightly cross-eyed Ella tried to look at her fringe. 'Eurgh, why won't it stop movingggg.' Once again, she pushed it to the side, scowling.
AHHHH. NO. HE'D BEEN WRONG. SHE WAS ANGRY. AHHHHHHHH.
Once again flailing like a fish starved as water, the first year struggled to his feet, almost tripping over his tangled legs as he did so. Carefully righting himself, and flinging one of his scarf tails over his shoulder, he ran after her, grabbing her shoulder before she could leave the Common Room.
Panting, as if he'd ran a mile, his face was a perfect replica of a five year old who's teddy bear had just been stolen. "I'm sowwy." he said, letting go of her, and looking down at his feet.
