Rachel had a horrible night, she tossed and turned, she dreamed that her mum had died, but she had not known. Then she dreamed that she was being attacked by the most evil wizard ever to live on this world, the person she sometimes heard people talking about, Voldemort! Athough she did not know it, she was screaming really loudly and might have woken up the others in her dormitery.

Presley woke with a start, and at first wasn't quite sure why. She thought she'd heard screaming? She glanced around the room to make sure everyone was okay. It was Rachel. She was screaming in her sleep and tossing all over the place. Presley leaped up and ran over to her bed. "Rachel! Rachel wake up!" Presley shook her friend to try to pull her out of her nightmare.

Charlie slumped up to the dorm, clutching her stomach. She felt sick.. She was going to go to Herbology but felt too bad to go. She didn't know what had made her sick but she thought she had better sleep it off. Charlie climbed into bed and groaned, the sudden drop made her head spin. Maybe it was something she had eaten? As she propped her pillow up she saw Presley rushing over to Rachel.
"Is she having a nightmare?" Charlie muttered, her face was very pale.

Kana had been quietly scribbling away at her homework when another one of the sleeping girls had started screaming. She jumped, scratching a long erratic line over the parchment and crawled to the very edge of her bed. She didn't exactly have experience dealing with other people's night terrors, so she figured there was really no use in getting up, but she did look to another girl who had come in earlier, looking very sick, and nodded. "Actually, when the person screams and thrashes around like that, it's called a night terror... Unless she remembers when she wakes up." Bah. This was no time for being a know-it-all.

Kit had been nibbling away at the shaft of a quill when there was a loud, loud scream. HOLY FRITILLATED FLAG BEATLES! The ferret spazzed, diving into the front pocket of her master's hoodie. PEople around here screamed too much. Kit didn't like it one bit.

Presley nodded in response to both of the girls. She turned to the girl who had been doing her homework. "How do I wake her up?" she asked frantically. This girl seemed to know at least a little more about this stuff than Presley did.

Kana was called up to bat. Lithely jumping from her bed, careful that Kit did not fall from her front pocket, she bit her lip for a moment, trying to remember what she knew on the subject.

"I'm no expert... I could be wrong, it might not actually be a night terror... But i'd say the best thing we can do is hold her still until she stops." As she said this, she reached over, a little hesitantly, and firmly but gently held her arms down.

Presley stepped away, grateful for the girl's knowledge. She was worried about Rachel. This wasn't normal. "Should I run for a teacher?" she asked the girl. This kind of seemed important enough. Presley didn't wait for the girl to answer, she bolted from the room in search of a teacher.

Kana shook her head when the girl asked if she ought to get a teacher, but when she looked up, she was already heading out. "No! It's not--"

Sigh. Kannalynne resumed holding the girl still. If anything, this late at night, she'd lose points for leaving the tower. But she suppossed it wasn't that important, anyway. It was a common thing for people to hive night terrors... or nightmares. Whatever this was.

Rachel woke with a start, she felt Presley shaking her, "Sorry, bad nightmare," she said, but what else could she say, thats what it was, "Sorry!" Rachel said, she really was, she saw Presley run out of the room, "Presley wait, I'm fine now!!!"

Gwen entered the girls’ dormitory and crashed on her bed. She took a piece of parchment from her pocket and started studying it. She wanted to decide what to do for DADA.

Running? Nah…I’m so not in the mood of going outside again.
Swimming? Slim chances
Dancing? With whom? With the walls?
So, what I’ve got left (and seems acceptable) is 100 minutes of meditating about a proper role model. That I can do!

Presley dashed back in to see that Rachel was now awake. "Rach! Are you okay? I ran for the headmaster, but there was a whole line of kids waiting to talk to him. What happened? Are you alright?" Presley babbled quickly. She wanted Rachel to be okay, but that night-terror thing, had freaked her out.

"Yeah, just a bit of a nightmare, not a very nice one though," Rachel told her, she was glad that Presley had run for help, but it had made Presley worry, "Sorry about it, really I am."

"Don't be sorry," Presley told her friend. "Everyone has nightmares. I just worried when we couldn't wake you up. What was it about? Maybe talking about it wil help. I'm Presley, by the way," Presley turned to the other girl, the one who'd been holding Rachel, and introduced herself. She felt so rude to have not mentioned her name before.

Making her way over to her bed after changing into her jammies, Mina throw herself a top it. She was beyond exhausted at the moment, but she knew that she couldn't get any sleep until she got some more of her homework and reading down. She wasn't behind or anything, but she didn't want to have to play catch up later. It was always better to be ahead of the game than be left behind.

Spreading all her books and journals over her bed before her, she started to sift through them. Her quill in one hand and her wand in the other. If she read at least another few hundred pages between all her class, she felt she would be okay to turn in for the night. It wasn't a that hate to get through that, she told herself as she propped herself against a pillow and the headboard of her bed.

Now that the chaos of Rachel's nightmare was over, Presley noticed that Charlie didn't look so well. "You okay, Charlie?" she asked the girl.

Ellie walked into the dorm and threw herself onto her bed, fully clothed and everything. She wasn't nearly ready to go to bed yet, but the common room had gotten boring. So, she thought she'd occupy herself with one of her newest favorite hobbies - watching the little English Quidditch players in her autographed photograph. It made her smile.

She eyed Mina, though. Was the girl really reading in bed? Out of all the places to read, she read in bed. Beds were for sleeeeeping, Mina, not...studying or handling those icky books in any way.

Sensing movement around her, Mina looked up and saw Ellie. She hadn't missed the eyeing the younger 'claw was giving her and shook her head. "Don't look at me like that," she laughed as closed her journal and tossed it to her feet. "My mind is stuck on getting more house points." It was her personal mission to make her way back to the top, even if it would kill her. The stubborn streak in her hadn't gone away in her time abroad, no it only get stronger.

Giggle.

"Did they not have House Points at Beauxbatons," Ellie asked. Seriously, though, for all she knew, they might not even have houses... "Are you trying to make up for two years worth of Point-less homework?" Heh. "We'll get the points in Quidditch." Like last term. Not that it had mattered much last term, as the other Houses were too far ahead of them...except Hufflepuff.

Ellie didn't mind their House standings, anyway. Maybe that was why homework was unimportant to her. Along with reading. In bed.

Presley was exhausted, but she couldn't sleep. She lay there in her bed, not sure if she was hot or cold. She flipped over and grabbed her journal. Might as well log her DADA homework.

Ran 3 miles
Told the mirror my goals and was thouroughly embarrassed to learn that I was not the only one there.

Now it was time for her real journal entry.
Holidays are close and I can't wait. Maybe he'll have missed me. Leo wrote and said he couldn't wait for me to get home. I think he has a new girlfriend he wants me to meet. I beat William in a broom race today, and he taught me how to tackle, like in American Football. I can't sleep for the life of me, though I am sooooo tired. What's wrong with me? Maybe it's because I'm fat. I'll run twice as much tomorrow. I visited Mercury too today. And I met this girl, Brielle. I'm trying to convince her to some with me when I sneak out. 'Cause Hogsmeade would be no fun alone. I think she's to nervous to go, but I reallllllllllly don't want to go into the forest alone. I purged today. I promised myself I'd never do it again, but I felt so awful. I'm starting to think I really might have a problem, but I can't find it in me to want to stop. I need help. Soon.

Presley put her book on her nightstand and flicked out the light to lay in the darkness for a while. She'd fall asleep soon enough.

"Yes, but I wasn't as competitive as I am here." Mina sighed. Being back at Hogwarts and earning points were rather synonymous in her mind. She had A LOT of making up to do and her mind wouldn't allow her to forget that. "Something like that. I feel so helpless when I think that I'm not doing my part to keep us on top again." Yeah, she had really thought about it. She wanted to help lead their house back to their rightful place at the top of the point count.

"The Quidditch points will be great, but I need to work my way back up that leader board too." The super competitive side in her was shining through again. "I want us to win and I mean really take home both cups and not by a few points or anything. I want it to be like huge!"

Perhaps the reading in bed had gotten to her slightly.

Blink.

Pretty much everything Mina just said...was lost on Ellie. She heard "points", "Quidditch", and "both cups".

Slowly, she nodded, "Ambitious?" Just a bit? Heh.

But, really, whatever flew Mina's broomstick...

"Has much changed? Since you left?" Ellie was only curious. She had been here, she wouldn't realize the changes as much as Mina might. Other than Reyn...

The fourth year glanced down at her bag where her camera was.

SIGH.

In all the trouble of the nightmare, Charlie had sort of forgotten about her own sickness but as Presley mentioned it again, it came back. Charlie nodded, "Yeah I'm ok." She said quietly, "I think it might be something I ate, I'm not very good with seafood," She grimaced. That was it! She had ate prawns...
"Anyway," Charlie continued as she slowly fell onto the bed, "It's good that you got Rachel up."

Mia began to get her books out to study. She sighed. Holidays are coming, and still she had not made one single friend here. Her big sister, Jenny, had told her that Hogwarts was awesome. Not for Mia. She didn't even talk to anyone this term. It was like she was invisible.

Mina look back at her friend and blushed slightly. Yeah, she was maybe a bit to ambitious for her own good. It was good, she had goals, right?

Glancing around their dormitory, she shrugged. "You know everything looks pretty much the same, but it does feel different being here." She still felt like it was home, but there were moments she did feel like she didn't completely belong there any more.

"Different faces and new things, the normal things have changed. But over all everything is just how I remembered it. Well, as much as it can really stay the same." There were always going to be things that would change slightly over each term, but that was expected after all.

"But enough about what I thing has changed. What about you? Anything new with you?" Mina was pretty sure Nina was getting a bit bored with her rambling by now.

Hahaha. "Maybe we will win the cup this term. Now that you're back." Just so Mina didn't think that Ellie thought she was COMPLETELY weird for wanting to earn points.

Just a little weird.

The redhead tilted her head to the side. "How so?" It felt different? Like temperature-wise? Or..was the ground softer than usual? Harder? Were the rooms smaller?!

Ohhhh. She nodded. "A lot of people left." Nia. Miles. JD. Raiden, too, though he wasn't a 'Claw, so he might not really belong on that list.
Then...well, Reyn. And Car. And Dodson. And Kingsley...

And she should really stop thinking about all that or she will be sobbing. She might already be tearing up.

It must be so much harder for Mina...to have to come back and learn that all those people left, rather than being here when it happened...
