Dani blushed- yet another of her ditzy blonde moments, she just assumed the cat was a girl, she had her little Gracie on her mind. "Oh, sorry! I... dunno why i said that!" she smirked before laughing- "Your cat fancies a Professor? Oh bless him" she giggled. That was pretty funny- cute and funny, and a tad smidge bit weird.
She nodded enthusiastically- "Yeah, she really is... was" she smirked again. "What do you say for a dead author. That she was a great author- or is because she lives on through her work" Dani shrugged, realising that had been a stupid statement, her ditzy blonde side showing through again. "I'm sorry- I'm being such a blonde today" she smirked as she pushed back her curls. "How have you been?" she asked curiously as she smiled at Kurumi.

Cassie was on her way to the library swishing and clicking as she went along with her book bag swinging by her side. She had some home work she needed to work on and some books she needed to borrow to prepare for class.

Cass was almost half way down the corridor when pop! Her heel was dangling from the bottom of her right shoe. Tears filled her eyes almost immediately. Ok sure she packed tons more heels but still losing a show was still very painful for her. She dropped her bag and sat on her bum in the middle of the corridor inspecting the damage.

Why did the Room of Requirement have to be on the top floor of the castle? It made visiting the room a whole trip that Arya had to prepare for. Making sure she ate and didn't forget anything. And it always only occurred to her that whatever was forgotten could be requested from the room.

Still, it was a long walk.

Arya stepped off of the stairs and into the corridor, having no plans of stopping when she spotted the girl in the middle of the corridor. Was she crying? Moving closer, she tilted her head to the side curiously, not seeing any injuries. "Did you twist your ankle?" Or something?

Cassie repeatedly tried sticking the bottom of the shoes back unto the rest of it but was having very little luck, the worst part was that none of her little pouting or mumbling could bring her shoes back, so she would soon have to quit and prepare for the burial of her shoe well both of them, since one foot was worthless without the other one

She looked up when she heard the voice of someone and kind of blinked the cloudiness from her eyes away. The world didn't need to know that she was crying over a shoe now, did they? Especially the hufflepuff prefect who she still hadn't met officially until this very unofficial meeting of course.

"It's worse," she said pouting again."My heel just broke off, and I loved this pair of shoes."

Arya stared at the girl and her response, blinking a few times to deny her confusion satisfaction of setting into her features. Her heel breaking was worse than spraining her ankle? "You've never sprained your ankle then." Or had anything worse than a sprain. She was of course just assuming this.

Who put shoes over their physical heath?

Continuing her decent to the ground, she sat crossed legged in front of the girl, resting her elbows on her knees and cupping her cheeks. It had occurred to Arya that this girl was a Hufflepuff, but it didn't occur to her to officially introduce herself. It never did. "I bet you could fix that with a spell. It's only a small break. Or you could just walk around barefoot." Obviously, the last option was the one she would chose.

Cassie was aware of the looks that she was getting from the prefect but most of her attention was on her shoe. The sadness. She sighed before responding to her."I have actually, I've been dancing for most of my life but see it's not the physical pain that hurts the most, its the emotional pain of losing a favourite shoe." Arya was a girl, she must understand that.

She took her attention from her shoes and focussed on Arya as she joined her on the ground. Normally Cassie wouldn't be on the ground but when emergencies happened, everything changed."I like the whole fixing it with a spell idea better. Who knows what sort of microscopic germy things are crawling around on the ground here."

She looked at her shoes again.

" I would try to fix it, I'm just scared of making it worse or fixing the heel on lean or something like that. It would be a shame ruining it. I'm Cassie by the way."

Arya did not understand one bit, but that was mainly because she spent most of her time without shoes. Except now of course... and when she was around a bunch of creatures. And heels just didn't get worn unless to class or special occasion. The older Puff was still getting looks.

"The floors aren't that dirty. House elves do a good job of keeping them clean." Clean enough to sit on like there were now. But at least they were in agreeance that a simple repairing spell would fix her shoe, the same couldn't be said about the floors. "I don't think you can make it worse.... I've never seen the spell back fire." She shrugged her shoulders lightly and grinned. "Hey Cassie! I'm Arya." Cassie the dancer, she could remember that.

Cassie noticed that she was still getting some looks from Arya but figured that sooner or later it would all dawn on her and she would understand the pain of losing a very nice pair of shoes. Until then they needed to focus on getting this pair of hers fixed before she burst into tears over the pain of her shoe being ruined.

Cassie looked down on the floor that they were sitting on at Arya's comment. She was right, the floor didn't look dirty but what did the house elves know about microscopic organisms? They could know about them and they could not, she wasn't willing to risk finding out the hard way."Well the floor does..look clean I suppose." She reached for her wand and cleared her throat, then pointed it at her shoe. Cass took a deep breath before saying reparo in a clear voice. She closed her eyes though not wanting to see if it worked or if she made it worse. She didn't even open her eyes when telling Arya that she knew who she was.

Apparently they weren't going to agree on how clean the floor was either. Something that wasn't important right now she supposed. Arya didn't close her eyes when Cassie cast the spell, they were just shoes! She didn't see how it was that big of a deal. And like she'd though, the spell worked on her shoe, repairing it back to it's original state. Arya grinned. "You can open your eyes, it worked!"

When Arya told Cass that she could open her eyes now, she peeked one open one at a time. when she saw that the spell indeed worked and fixed her shoes she jumped up and began doing a silly little one shoe dance thing and singing a series of uh huh oh yeaaah, it's fixed. She couldn't help it, her shoes were fixed.

When she had gotten all of that out of her system she stopped and beamed at Arya." And they say us Huffies aren't smart, pfftttt! You girly just saved the life of my shoes and saved several other ones from being thrown out too. Thank you. I certainly owe you one." She slipped the next foot of her shoe on and straightened up a little. Now that the emergency had passed, she could look decent again. "So where are you headed to?"

Presley was lost. Again. It was more than a month into the school year, and she stll couldn't seem to find her way to wherever it was she wanted to go. So she wandered aimlessly through the corridor's, looking for a familiar, not-scary person who could point her in the right direction.

Leaning back, she rested her palms on the floor behind her and giggled at Cassie's reaction. Really, she didn't see what the big deal was, but the older girl's happiness was infectious. All happiness was infectious to Arya. "Only those who don't know us." And Chicken Girl, but what did she know? She didn't know how to read. She grinned.

She waved her hand dismissively. "Don't worry about it, and your welcome." That kinda was her job now, right? Helping other huffies and students. The young girl briefly considered rising from the floor. "I was headed to the room of requirement, what about yourself?"

Arya looked away from Cassie only when she heard the foot steps of another student. A firstie... was she lost? It wouldn't be the first one Arya ran into this term. "Hii." She smiled at the Ravenclaw. "Are you lost?"

Cassie leaned against the wall and looked at Arya nodding at her comment."So true. I mean I'm sure if more people took the time out to talk to us and get to know us past the stereotypes they would see how awesome we are. But I suppose all the pretty is a bit distracting for them." She winked at Arya.

" No really, saving my shoe is like a big deal to me. I owe you one, so if you need a favour of me, just ask ok?" Because shoes were a big deal to her and now Arya was like shoe saviour or something like that now."Oh, I was actually headed to the library to get some home work done."

She looked in the direction of a younger student who seemed to have wandered unto the corridor. Good thing for her saviour Arya was out and about and of course Cassie was always here to help.

Presley didn't want to admit it. She would seem even stupider, but it seemed the only way to get out of this maze of hallways. "Yes I am," she said sheepishly. "I was looking for a lou, and then I found one, and now I can't find where I am. I don't even know which floor I'm on," she said honestly.

"We are very pretty." Arya grinned. She was very much aware of that fact, more now than she had been in her younger years. She was also aware of how pretty the other houses were. Still, she never considered ALL of them to be distracting, only the one was ever distracting for her.

Realizing that she wouldn't be arguing her way out of the shoe thing she mentally shrugged and nodded her head. If the older girl wanted to pay her back for something she didn't think that big of a deal, then she supposed she'd let her. "The LIBRARY. I should be going there... for OWLs..." But she'd rather flip in the secret room in the towers.

She LOOKED at the door to the library before turning her attention to the younger girl, smiling kindly. "Your on the fourth floor," She pointed at the door she'd been staring at. "That's the library. Is there somewhere your trying to be?"

"Thank you so much," Presley sighed in relief. She was right next to the library. How could she not have figured it out by that? "Not in particular, I just didn't want to be lost anymore. Thank you." Presley was so grateful that people here would stop and take time to help younger students, otherwise, she'd never get anywhere. "I'm Presley, by the way." Pres realied how rude she'd been not to introduce herself right off. "Thank you for helping me." She wondered if she had thanked the girl too much. She'd said it three times, but she didn't want to seem ungrateful...

Arya didn't much mind the other girl repeatedly thanking her, and simply smiled in response. "Yeah, I remember what it was like not knowing where you are. It shouldn't be long before you know how to get around the castle though." It'd only taken Arya and the gang all of first year to figure it out. "I'm Arya, nice to meet you Presley." She waved off the thank you. "No problem, it's my job." It was, wasn't it?

Arya tapped her badge lightly before standing. "Since your not lost, I'll be heading on my way. It was good meeting you both." And helping them with the shoe and being lost. With a little wave to them both, she ambled down the corridor and disappeared up the stairs.

Brielle didn't really know where she was going. All she knew was that she was holding a big, slimy frog in her hands. And she didn't really like frogs. Thanks to someone's help though, the animal was now just sitting quietly, as opposed to its endless croaking earlier. What was she thinking anyway, picking up a random frog. But, she thought, she couldn't just leave it all alone. And besides, it was resting on her bed, for Merlin's sake. "Oh great," she muttered angrily. "Does anyone want a frog?" she shouted aloud, she could only hope that someone heard her.

Presley was simply walking for the sake of walking when she heard a girl ask if anyone wanted a frog. She paused and looked at the girl strangely. "Is it your frog?" she asked. That was a stupid question. Obviously it was the girl's frog! Why would she be trying to give away someone else's frog? Presley didn't want the frog, she had a dog at home that would probably eat it, but it was such an odd request that Presley had to stop. "I'm Presley, by the way."

Brielle almost sunk down to the floor when a question came her way. Wait. A question? So that meant? "Oh! I thought I was alone," she said, looking up to see a girl standing a few feet from her. How silly she must have looked... and sounded. "It's not my frog actually. I found it just lying on my bed!" she said, looking at the green creature she held in her hands. Then she looked back to ther girl. "Nice to meet you Presley, my name's Brielle." she answered, smiling at her. Presley seemed really cute and kind, and she was a Ravenclaw too, Brielle decided. She wore the same blue marks on her robe. "A Ravenclaw!" Brielle gasped, happy that she had found one from the same house. "Do you by chance know anybody who's missing a frog?"

"I'm sorry if I startled you," Presley apologized. "No, I don't know anybody missing a frog. Have you asked a teacher what to do about it? I'm sure they have some sort of a lost-and-found." Poor Brielle! inding a frog on your bed was the worst sort of punishment. Maybe somebody had meant it as a prank. Brielle seemed like a nice girl, if a bit frustrated at the moment. "Maybe we should talk to Hadley or someone."

"I think I should be the one to apologize, for acting so weird," she smiled at Presley. "Aw. That's a pity, I've been looking for about two hours now. And I don't think the Professors would be happy if I took their time for a missing frog. I'm actually starting to think that its a stray," Brielle answered, scratching her head. Are there any frogs in the lake? she asked herself, trying to remember if she had seen any there. "Anyway, your a first year, aren't you? I seem to remember seeing you being sorted,"

Helena didn't quite know what she was doing. Just wandering around the castle, most probably. And... as she recognized the corridor as belonging to the fourth floor, she decided to walk towards the library to read the first book she'll find, or maybe finish that Herbology assignment or something.

But... there was no rush, so the girl walked sloooowly. No rush at all.

Zara walked her way from the Herbology class at the ship going to the library. Maybe a little trip to the library would ease her headache and dizziness. Reaching the fourth floor, she walked through its corridors dizzily when she saw a girl walking ahead of her who was probably headed to the library also. She didn't know it was Helena, she was too dizzy to even notice. So she just kept walking some distance behind the girl. That was until Zara collapsed on the floor, causing a soft thud sound which seemed loud because of the previous silence.

James was new, he didn't know where to go or what to do. He didn't have any friends here...yet. So he really didn't know how to act around people. He only knows how to act around his friends back in America. It was different for him. He's really in a foreign country. His friends, family, best friend, crazy ex-girlfriend are on the other side of the world. Well he was happy about the whole leaving his ex-girlfriend behind because he thought she was litterally crazy. But now he had to take a break from walking because he was making zero progress. James Heywood leaned against the wall and look up at the ceiling. Why did he even come to Hogwarts. He knew that in time he would make friends but it would've been a lot easier to just come here when he was eleven so then now, at this moment he would know people and has loads of friends by now and then he would be happy right no but he just fel homsick.
