Fallon looked at Aurora. "Yep. Pretty much." It really did seem silly, but it was the only thing that everyone had thought to do. Fallon raised her eyebrow at the girl. "No. No one has...smelled it." It was really strange thing to even consider doing. "And yes. Someone went to tell the Headmaster."



...and now there were people talking like pirates. She turned to the young Slytherin and the Gryffindor girl. "Um...why are you guys talking like pirates?" Yes. She was going to ask the stupid question. Fallon wanted to know what was going on.

They were alll here. BIG BIG CROWD around the wall that had a giant red X painted over it. Orlando scratching his head lightly, went to stand next to Ryden, staring at the wall still: "What's up? What's going on?" the boy asked, confused.

And then Lexi came in, Orlando stared as she began to talk. "Wahoo .. what happened to you?" the sixteen year old asked, more confused about her language than the giant X on the wall that everyone seemed to be 'OOOOOH' and 'AAAHH' -ing about.

Simon had been looking for Treyen he found him with load of other people hanging around an X well sure Treyen had a spade and could dig the X and see what was there or didn't he want to know, if Simon got close enough he would start digging the X.

X marks the spot?!

Sierra turned and got a careful look at the graffiti, which didn't turn out to be graffiti at all, but a message--from who, though?!

"How am I supposed to know where some treasure is?" Sierra asked, turning around to face the Gryffindor she'd encountered a few rooms down. Then, under her breath, she added, "...you filthy scallywag, you."

Treasure, though?! Treasure...

She looked toward Salamander, then toward the message on the wall. She followed it down the corridor a bit, then she stopped and turned...

...and faced the Gryffindor girl with a death glare.

Sierra blinked.

"Talking like a pirate?" she asked, wanting to roll her eyes but holding back all the same. This girl was a Slytherin after all, her own kind, and Sierra was far more tolerant of them than she was with anyone else. What in the name of Merlin was this girl talking about?

"Who sent ya here, ya landlubber?" she finally asked. "Who's yer captain?"

OOC: I'm heading out to eat, but I'll be back later!

Lexi watched the ickle Slytherin look around like a lost little puppy and then speak. Lexi rolled her good eye up in her head and heaved a great sigh. "Riiiight." Twas all she needed to say. She didn't believe it for a second...

She did follow Sierra's gaze down the corridor to see Sal standing there. She blinked a few times and frowned heavily. She wanted to go to him, but she remained rooted to the spot...

And then Fallon began to yap at her.

Lexi looked at the girl that spoke to her and simply sneered. She didn't have to answer that landlubber's questions. She didn't have to even acknowledge her existence for that matter. There were bigger fish to fry.

"Avast! Ye need to stop trying to get in our bizness, aye!" Lexi shouted to the lot of the people gathered there in the corridor. She began to rub angrily at her left eye as she glared around at the lot of them.

"Oi! Ye all need to gangway. Let me old bones through. I need to have a closer look at this." Without waiting on them to move she started to push her way through the crowd.

She looked at Lando and blinked a few times as she passed him. "Whatchu mean wha's wrong wif me?" Silly boy. There was NOTHING wrong with her. At all.

Fallon just nodded at the girl's question. How could she not know she was talking like a pirate. "Yes talking like a pirate. Because that is definitely not normal person talk." Way to point out the obvious...

Captain? What was this girl talking about?! Fallon just looked at the younger Slytherin. "Um...no one sent me...and the only captain I know is the Quidditch captain." There was something wrong with this girl. Something very wrong.

...and then the other pirate girl was talking. What is going on today?! Fallon just looked at the girl as she sneered.

"Sorry. Just wanted to know what was wrong..." Now back to the big red X...

Eino's head was bouncing from one person to another as he listened to each of the student's explanations, until... His heart stopped a beat, two beats, three beats. He forgot how to breathe. It was the smart pretty girl from History of Magic who had the same obsession with Elizabethan history as he did. She hadn't noticed him, thankfully, so he swiftly hid himself behind Treyen and Fallon. They were tall enough to block him entirely from her sight, so they would do. He stood there, trying not to do and say anything, but paying attention to what she was saying. He tried to peek between the two students and was able to catch a few glimpses of her, but still didn't dare to make himself visible.

Kurumi’s cheeks flushed a deeper shade of pink as each new student made their appearance. Thankfully, no one seemed to noticed her standing there with her hand pressed against the red X on the wall. She had half expected herself to be transported somewhere, like a Portkey, or for some hidden door to reveal itself and was a little disappointed when it didn’t happen. Probably for the best. She didn’t want to get eaten by a basilisk.

Eventually, someone did take notice of her being stuck to the wall as if someone had cast a Permanent Sticking Charm on her hand. “Y-Y-Yes,” she said smiling nervously at Vashti as she tried to remove her hand. Kurumi pulled as hard as she could, but feared that she would pull her arm from its shoulder socket if she pulled any harder. Perhaps she needed to use her feet as leverage against the wall? She would risk falling onto her back, but if it meant her hand would be free, then she wouldn’t mind too much.

Then, Kurumi’s eyes widened when she saw Sierra appear…only…it wasn’t really the she-snake. At least, it didn’t sound like her. Kurumi turned her back to the wall, as best she could given her hand being planted palm down against it, and simply stared at the second year.

Then, a smile appeared on Kurumi’s face when she saw Lexi. Lexi would know what to do, right? She could figure out the counter spell or jinx to removing her hand…

“L-L-Landlubber?” Kurumi whimpered looking at her Mama Lion. Was that some sort of breed of flobberworm? Her eyes flicked towards Lola and hoped that the Slytherin didn’t take this opportunity to try and show that she was part Landlubber too.

And then they were talking about treasure and then it sounded like Lexi was saying something about a vest…or was it a vase? Kurumi really wasn’t sure.

Kurumi watched as Fallon spoke with the two girls who were clearly having an off day. Perhaps they had spent too much time with Mr. Viking? No, their speech sounded a bit different from his.

Kurumi then spun around and continued to pull on her hand. Perhaps using her free hand would…THAT was another bad idea. She hadn’t been paying attention to where she had placed her other hand in relation to the red X and had put it right smack in the middle of it. Now both her hands appeared to be glued to the wall.

Lola eyed Treyen who totally put his arm on her shoulders and she stared at the X-mark again! WHY?! "Treyen, you did this, didn't you?!" She gasped but was suddenly relieved when he informed her that she would have been the first to know anything about a club meeting. HOW FLATTERED SHE WAS! She was about to say thank you and complete a very nice and formal gratitude to the boy but she was distracted by her evil stomach.

It was evil.

It continued to grumble and almost in a spazz-attack, she shifted her head towards Kurumi, her eyes suddenly confused and her face bewildered.

"Wot, little girly? Lo-la?! ME NAME BE--" She was distracted by the huge mark on the floor, "WHY SHIVER ME TIMBERSSSSS! ARGHHHH I'S BLESSED TO BE HERE! X-Marks the spot?!" She immediately turned her head to the other girls acknowledging the beauty of the booty. Lola immediately turned to face Treyen, taking out her wand, and glaring at him with fierce eyes. She pointed her wand right at his neck, riiiiight at his neck.

"TELL ME WHERE ME TREASURE IS, BOYO! 'Else yeh want to walk the plank RIIIIIIIIGHT down teh Davy Jones's locker... do YEH BOY??? ARGGHHH SPIT IT OUT!"

Sierra stood firm in her position a little ways down the corridor. She saw the Gryffindor approaching and kept both eyes on her. "Don't let 'er at it!" Sierra warned the others, seeing how the Gryffindor was steadily pushing her way through. "She's a right buccaneer!"



Sierra paused when she heard the word Quidditch. "Right. Aaron Anderson," she announced, as if she thought the girl may not know. No one sent her, hmm? A right landlubber.



You know that feeling you get when you think someone's watching you? Well, that's the feeling Sierra suddenly got, yet as she scanned the crowd, she couldn't exactly pick up on who might be giving her this certain feeling. She eyed the crowd for a few more seconds before turning to Hollingberry.



"A landlubber," Sierra repeated. She gestured her hand in the direction of Kurumi and several others standing around. "Landlubbers!"



"Quieten down, ye corsair!" Sierra warned. She eyed Lola. If the girl got much louder, the professors would come out, and then they'd all be in trouble on account of the graffiti lining the walls.

Maddox was trying to keep from laughing at everyone's "pirate" talk. Especially Lexi's. Maddox snorted and stifled a giggle. She was leaning against the wall not really participating in anything.

She was just observing and looking around at the drama. She didn't notice the spot of red paint on her left thigh.

More people started coming around to stare at the red X. Salander still keeping mostly to himself, hung back lazily and started to lean against the opposite wall. Then voices were raised. People were getting upset. He huffed through his nose and started to smirk nonchalantly. He just found it amusing to see people get worked up over something trivial....

Then suddenly something came over him. First he heard Lexi arguing with Sierra and yelling booty then he saw Kurumi eyeing the X and sticking her finger in....

An inexplicable rumble emitted from his lips, then rushed to push people aside and yanked Kurumi's hand from the wall. "Yarr! Dun touch that nosey vermin! Keep yer filthy hands to yerthelf!" he yelled over the din at the young Gryffindor, gripping her hand above her head and glared down "Who told ye to touch that ey? Who sent ye snoopin' around?!?" he growled then pushed her away as he released her hand.

He planted himself firmly in front of the X, trying to block it from people's view "Aye, what be you all starin' at? Ha'ent any o' you seen a red X bef'r?" He took out his wand and cast a spell, splattering a red X on each of their foreheads, save for Sierra and Lola "Thar, why dun ye all stare at thar Xses on them noggins eh? Thar's nothin' to spy wit' har, move along! Move along!"

Lexi was ignoring Fallon from here on out. Yep. She wasn't making any sense. None.At.All. Lexi wasn't speaking any differently than she typically did. Any fool could see that. Pfft.

Then the little lion was looking at her hopefully... well that was simply silly of her. Lexi pursed her lips as she clamped her left eye shut now. "Will ye get out of me way?!" No she wasn't asking any of them. More like telling them. Especially the Slytherins that seemed to want to block her from it.

...

That included Salander. As he cast that stupid red painty thing spell she easily sidestepped it and kept moving. Lexi narrowed her eye and moved through the crowd to stand in front of him, hands on her hips. "Move ye out of me way. Now." Again, not a request. At all. She would call for the cap'n if she had to. And the whole lot of the filthy turncoats would be dispersed. THAT she was sure of.

Yes, Kurumi, everything is wrong...because...why was she touching what was on the wall.

You know, he started to believe this was nothing, just someone painting corridor and playing a joke on them. It was probably Jacob, by the way, since he was the one who knew most about pirates, and the whole 'ship' suggestion made sense. Pirates used X's on maps, no?

He was thinking of leaving, and then someone will send him a flying memo of how this all turned out, but then Lola happened.

"I did nothing," he said, shaking his head, he didn't even notice the redness until the Ravenclaws pointed it out to him. And...she called him Treyen. He missed being called Train, though. But, yeah, whatever. AND WHAT WAS SHE DOING WITH HER WAND AGAIN!?

And what was she sayiiiiing?! He understood nothing Lady Awesome, Sierra, nor Lola were saying.

"I told you not to point your wand at me," he glared first, and then waved her wand away. His other hand was already holding his wand for Lola, and the only one that could see that was probably the Ravenclaw boy (Eino) who was standing behind him...

...hey, why was he standing behind him??

He snapped out of the glaring once Salander spoke...and...yeah, said...whatever he'd said. And then...WHAAAAT?! Blink. He instantly started to try and wipe off whatever SALAMANDER had sent upon them...Blink.

Fallon nodded. "I know Aaron." Really, who didn't know who the quidditch captain was at this point in the school year. It really was a crazy thing if no one did.

Fallon turned back to the Slytherin boy as he stood in front of the X. Now he was talking like a pirate, and Fallon just didn't understand it. She had no idea what was wrong with everyone today. There were four people talking like pirates...that seemed to think they weren't. She flinched as he pointed his wand at her. Fallon looked up to notice that there was some sort of red on her forehead. "What are you doing?! You can't just point your wand at someone and put something on their foreheads!" She looked around at all of the other red X's, which she figured was what was on her forehead.

Ronnie looked at what appeared to be a map to...THEIR TREASURE.. now she wouldn't stand for that!! "Aye, there scalaywag!!" She shouted running of the rather large crowd that was now forming! " you be having me treasure map, and I be wanting it back." She said looking at them holding her hand out for it.

If the captian new that they had lost it...wait...what was she saying??? Who in merlins beard was the captian?? And WHAT in the world was she saying!! "I be seeing mutany" Ronnie stated again whem she looked back at th crowd.

Connor walked over to the group of other students in the corridor. He leaned against a far wall and crossed his arms and just watched. He sure did not want to be in trouble with anyone again for jumping in to save the day. He watched and listened. It seemed to him just from his observations that the students who had spent any length of time on the ship were somehow being possessed by it's crew. If that was the case then he wondered why he wasn't being affected. probably because he'd not been on there often or for very long at all.

He crossed one leg in front of the other and leaned back comfortably crossing his arms. "Fifteen men on a Dead Man's Chest Yo Ho Ho and a bottle of Rum." He muttered cheekily.

Kurumi really needed to figure out what a landlubber was. Add it to the list of things to ask Professor MacFusty when she went back down to pick up Walnut after his therapy session with the Care of Magical Creatures professor.

Kurumi shifted her position a bit and felt her hands come a little loose, but she was still stuck. Hopefully someone would be kind enough to throw a blanket over her when it got to be night time so that she wouldn’t catch a cold.

However, the next thing she knew an invisible switch went off in Salander’s brain that made him begin speaking in tongues and the next thing she knew he had his hand locked around hers and had ripped it from the wall so quickly that she felt her shoulder POP! and a sharp pain ran all the way down her arm. As if that weren’t bad enough, her Papa Snake was glaring AND yelling at her.

“F-F-Filthy? V-V-ermin…” she whimpered. The only reason her hands were dirty was because of the red goo that was on her hands. “N-N-No one sent me…” she said as she felt herself pushed back a bit as he released his hold on his hand. She didn’t really know what else to say. Salander had never yelled at her before…

Frowning, Kurumi took several timid steps backwards before something smacked her right in the forehead and began dripping down her face. In shock at what had just happened, Kurumi just barely head Salander’s voice yelling at them to move along.

Rubbing her forehead, and getting even more red stuff on her hands, Kurumi was just in time to notice Lexi close one of her eyes. Oh dear! Had something gotten in it? A bug perhaps? Kurumi rushed over to her friend. “Are you alright? Is there something in your eye?” she asked as she began fussing a bit over the older lioness.

Nika skipped around the corridors looking for somewhere to do her next DADA assignment. She liked to change things up and go different places to do them because that was always more fun. She made her way to the fifth floor corridor and stopped when she saw a group of people clustered around. She poked her head in and noticed there was something weird. A giant "X" WAHHH? Maybe it had something to do with the ship!? Why were there so many pirate-y things going on lately? It probably had to do with the ship or something. Maybe some students are finding the need to go pirate?

"Woah." She looked around at everyone who was crowded around and saw a few familiar faces. She turned to Kurumi and looked at her with wide eyes. "What happened here?" Where there's an X there must be a pirate. What if there was a pirate on the ship and he escaped and is now running all around hogwarts?! Maybe he was the one that caused the fire that everyone was talking about earlier!

DUN DUN DUUNNN

The Slytherin lad started to snicker as the students rubbed the Xs on their foreheads. The paint smeared all over, but the X was still visible, like a semi-permanent tattoo. "Y'see? More Xs that ye be knowin' what t' do wit'" He glanced at Fallon complaining "Ye cant be tellin' me what to do little lassy. I can do whatever I be needin' to. Now scram ye lot! Or I'll make sure thar be another mark on ye whar th' sun dont shine.."

He eyed Kurumi suspiciously, not believing a word she said. "If nobody sent'cha then why ye be so close t' this har wall eh? Eh?" Then Lexi comes near him with that squnty-squint, demanding to get out of the way "Garr... how'bout No!" he growled back into her face. "You want them red Xs, thars one already fer ye.right.thar!" he said smeaaarrring a nice big red X on her head. Hehehe. "Ya aint gonna get anywhar near whats behind me ya swab so ye better just turn around 'n swim back to y'er hole."

Lexi looked at the little lion cub as she moved forward and began to fuss over her... What the... "Oi! Back off ye messdeck lawyer! Or I will be sending you to see Jack Ketch!" she shouted as she smacked the little girl's hands away from her.

THen her attention came back to the others around... and then the lispy man, Salander, as he... Oh that was about all she was going to take from this band of scoundrels! Lexi smartly unholstered her wand and pointed it directly in Salander's face as he TOUCHED her with his filthy hands! "Ye scurvy dog! How DARE you touch me?! You treacherous mutineer! Ye will move or else, Bucko."

Koala Boy. "I'm not sure. There's this big red X thing that looks like bl- never mind. But everyone's in a right state because of it," Ryden replied, nodding towards the crowd and those individuals who were acting all... well, pirate-y. Truly stumped by their actions, Ryden inched a little away from them - still keeping rather close to Koala Boy - and kept her silence, just watching at the conversation heated up.

But then, when one of them cast a spell at HER, the brunette snapped. "OI. WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE PLAYING AT?!" she yelled, striding over to the Slytherin boy (Salander) with her wand out, fighting against the urge to wipe the redness off her forehead. She had a feeling it would just make a mess. "YOU DO NOT GET TO MARK PEOPLE WITH BLOOD, OK THERE BIG BOY? So QUIT this little pirate act you've got going and get out of here before I hex you and your whole group of freakshow friends into next year!" Ryden raised her wand, pointing it at the boy's chest.

Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted another piratelike person yelling at someone she knew. This someone wasn't a girl she liked very much as the Astronomy incident was still burned in her brain, but for an older person to yell like that on someone so small... It wasn't right. It wasn't right, even for Ryden. Narrowing her eyes, she bared her teeth. She was now officially angry.

Kurumi continued to look on in horror as Salander. However, that horror quickly turned to confusion as he spoke and spit all over her face. This new form of speaking was certainly not the cleanest. Using the sleeve of her robe, Kurumi wiped her cheeks clean of the Salander spit and managed to get a little bit of the red off. “Um…pardon?” she asked blinking at him several times. “Would you…would you mind repeating that?”

She really hadn’t caught a single thing he had just said.

In the next instant, Lexi…her Mama Lion…her role model…had just slapped Kurumi’s hands away and…who was John Ketch? Kurumi wracked her brains for a moment trying to remember what she had read in preparation for their History of Magic lesson.

“LEXI! YOU CAN’T SEND ME TO AN EXECUTIONER!” she wailed flailing her arms around. Not to mention Kurumi was pretty sure that the man mentioned had been dead for quite some time, which made what Lexi said nearly impossible.

Unless…

Well, Kurumi really didn’t want to think about that other option.

Then, Lexi had her wand practically up Salander’s nose. Kurumi jumped to the side and realized her mistake. It wasn’t up his nose, it was at his neck. At least that way the older lioness didn’t risk getting her wand covered in Salander boogies.

Another girl, the rude one from Astronomy, started shouting about them all being marked with blood. BLOOD!? Salander wouldn’t do something like that! Then again, Lexi wouldn’t yell at her and slap her hands away.

She had to do SOMETHING! But what?

She began wracking her brain, hitting her forehead with the palm of her hands. Something to calm everything down…make the talk of booty and treasure hunting stop. Not to mention she didn’t want to be called that strange breed of flobberworm any more either. They all needed a group hug…or…something. Kurumi watched Lexi and Salander for a moment, along with the others who were acting strangely. Sure, she had been rubbish at it, but she was now able to recognize that they were talking like pirates – of course, someone had already shouted such at them.

Pirates…could it…maybe…Kurumi figured it was worth a shot…

“Parlay!” she shouted flailing her arms around. “Parlay! Parlay! Parlay!”

He narrowed his eyes at the little Gryffindor brunette. She was asking him to repeat? Garrr he does not repeat! "Be ye harrrd 'o hearin lassy?" he started when the blonde one started yelling at his face. And pointed a weapon at him too. "Garr, showin' off yer fa'ored cutlass be ye??" Salander smirked as he jabbed his wand against the side of Lexi's neck "If ye fire that off I be takin' ye below wit' me matey."

Oh one more wand for him? Awww he's feeling real special now. Without taking his wand off Lexi's neck he angled his head slightly, glancing back and forth between the Ravenclaw girl and Lexi infront of him "Lassy, you be thinkin twice on whar ye aim that thar sword o' yers cuz the gates o' hell sure aint strong t' keep me in when I come for yer soul."

His head jerked the other direction when Kurumi started yelling "Eh what??? Parlay?" he huffed in annoyance as he rolled his eyes. Why is it someone always yells parlay just when the fun's about to start?

It had been funny when they were in class but now it all seemed too out of hand. All this pirate talk, that is. It was getting annoying. Orlando frowned when Lexi insisted she did not know what he was talking about. "The words coming out your mouth sound insane." he repeated, trying to be more clear.

It was not just Lexi, it was everybody. Even the guy Salander, who was Lexi's boyfriend as she had pointed out earlier in the common room. Orlando's immediate reaction toward the guy was disapproving. With all his pirate talk and his nerve of branding them all with a mark 'X' "The frek - ?" he muttered, rubbing his forehead. Before he could protest and demand Salander to stop with his tom foolery, Ryden was on her toes - pointing her wand at Salander.

Waho. This will not end well.

Was he suppose to step in and stop her?

Ryden, though was smaller in size but her threats so much bigger, even had Orlando feeling scared. And he had already felt her punch before so she could make the threat happen. Orlando decided he was Team Ryden against Team Pirate. Nonetheless, it would only get her in trouble. "RYDEN! .. Don't do anything stupid!" he tried to tell her before turning toward the boy who was playing pretend pirate "And you .. it was funny while it lasted, now quit with your lassy's and argh's .. it's getting boring now!" The sixteen year old stated, rubbing his forehead still.
