A set of paths link the courtyard to various areas of the grounds. It’s nice to walk along either on your own or with a friend. The trees on either side of the path help to create a light atmosphere. So go on, take your time and soak up the fresh air, heaven knows students need it.

Even though she'd cut a good few inches of her hair off, she still had a head full, and still found it a chore to remove all the strands from her face. It didn't help that she couldn't stop laughing, and even when she was able to subside her laughter, she still found the task tiring what with all the dancing and laughing she'd just done. In the end she just gave up, and let what strands still covering her face stay.

"We should." She turned her head to the side, grinning at Sabel. "Though if we don't dance on grass, we might need to cast a cushioning charm since we seem to end up on the ground quiet often." More giggles poured from her as she kicked her legs up in the air, and let them fall back to the ground with a soft thump.

"You know," Shaking his head a little, he let out a soft chuckle. "You can replace that 'we falling' to 'Sabel falling'. It won't offend me." He was, after all, the reason they were on the ground now. Shaking his head once again, he reached over and worked on guiding the hair from Arya's face, a gentle smile pursing his lips. "You dance very well, Arya Lovegoods. Thank you for risking the safety of your toes to dance with me."

"I could if you fell by yourself, but you didn't. We fell together." Arya poked her tongue out at him. Sure, he had fallen and taken her down with him, but in her eyes, it was the same thing. Her grin faded to a soft smile, and drummed her fingers on her stomach as he picked up on the task she'd stopped. "I had a good partner Mr. Dakest. My dancing wouldn't have been as good without you and your music." She shook her head slightly, causing a few more strands of hair to fall in her face. "No risk, I know my toes are safe with you."

Chuckling, Sabel shook his head again. "I am glad to know you trust me with your toes. They are very precious indeed." A slight frown furrowed his brow as he concentrated on retucking the untucked hair that decided to fall back in her face. It was also to avoid watching her eyes for too long, from thinking too deeply about the statement of falling together rather than alone. It was just a dance and just a stumble, no reason to read more into it than that.

"Well next time, we should bring some actual music. My tongue and my toes aren't exactly always coordinated." He cast up a playful grin to her eyes before setting his attention back on her bangs. That was it, he was getting her hair-pins or something. Maybe. Possibly.

"You think so?" She let her eyes fall to her feet, doing her best not to move her head so not to mess up Sabel's work, and wiggled her toes in her flats. They were just toes to her, good for a few things, but not much. But...if Sabel said they were precious, then she's allow them to be. It was probably the only complement she could take from him without any embarrassment.

She turned her eyes back up to his face, watching as he took the time to fix her hair. Her smile growing when he finally made eye contact. "I don't know about the real music. I like your voice just fine." Truth. Sabel has a pleasant singing voice that she would dance to any day.

"I do think so. Very much." A rather mischievous glint took a hold of his expression as he tucked the last strand of hair in place. In a combination of an effort not to blush and not to hesitate on his next impulse, which wouldn't be much of an impulse if he hesitated at all, he rolled onto his knees and then flopped onto his stomach at Arya's feet. His hands made quick work of one of her flats and then went to her toes, wiggling them gently.

With an even wider grin, he set about doing something his mother used to do when he was just a child. "This little piggy went to the market..." He began as he wiggled Arya's big toe. "This little piggy stayed at home..." He wiggled the next toe. "This little piggy had roast beef..." The middle toe. "This little piggy had none." The next. "And this little piggy went, 'wee wee wee' all the way home." He grinned as he wiggled her pinky toe and then all of them at once. Now, he could officially be embarrassed. "See? Precious?"

She didn't have much time to react to his removing her flat and started wiggling her toes. Clamping her hands over her mouth, it was all she could do to contain the fit of giggles she was in, both from the fact that he was wiggling her toes and how much it tickled. When he was done with wiggling her toes, it was a moment before she could subdue her giggles enough to respond. "No I don't see....put my shoe back on, silly."

Through the massive heatwave of embarrassment that had him ready to drop his head into a gopher hole should she make a comment about his re-enactment of the nursery rhyme, Sabel couldn't help but pout a little. "How can you not see?"

The frown was quickly replaced with another mischievous grin as he tilted his head a little, wiggling her toes before lightly tickling the bottom of her foot. "You're not ticklish are you Miss Lovegoods?"

He was going to need a very big hole.

"But your foot doesn't want it to be on it. Look at those toes, all wiggling and protesting." He gave a gentle poke to her pinky toe before glancing up at her. Pouting, Sabel rested his chin lightly atop Arya's wiggling toes for reasons he could not explain; perhaps it was simply the most efficient and easy way to prop his head up so he could see her. "You're no fun."

It was of course, all in good, teasing fun. With a soft sigh, he reached over to retrieve her shoe, pausing halfway to putting it back on her foot, his head snapping up with a sudden revelation. "What about a foot massage?"

"Oh, but they do. See," Arya looked at her toes as she wiggled them. "They're protesting not having a pretty shoe like the other one does." Her foot was terribly jealous of the other. Terribly. She stopped her toe wiggling when he rested his chin on them, and pouted playfully crossing her features. "Would you like me to count my toes with you?"

A foot massage. Sounded niiice. The pout disappeared just as soon as it appeared. "Yes, please."

This time, Sabel couldn't help but crack. The pout disappeared as laughter left him and he had to shake his head as he pushed himself up. "I thought we agreed no counting today?" He chided playfully as he crossed his legs and rested both of Arya's feet on his lap.

The playful grin was back as he reached for her other shoe before pausing, his fingers extending to point at it as he gave her a quizzical look. "Now, you know I have to take this off if I'm going to give you a massage right? We won't have any extreme protests? No riots of the toes? Wars of the feet? Barrage of the toe-lint?" Cause that would just be gross.

"You keep saying no counting," she wiggled her fingers at him, a grin on her face. "Yet you continue to do so. Your breaking your own rule Sabel Dakest." And if he could break it then so should she. Mmmhmm. She shifted into a more comfortable position on the ground when he placed her feet in his lap.

Arya made a face. "I don't have toe lint, Sabel." Gross. "My feet are clean." They received just as much love and care as the rest of her, even if she didn't think much of them. Her grin returned and she lightly drummed her fingers on her stomach. "No protests what so ever, promise."

"Just trying to get an interview with the Whomping Willow will be time-consuming enough, and to be honest I don't feel very confident I have enough words in my vocabulary to write a whole book," he confessed, his right hand rubbing the back of his neck absentmindedly as he looked shame-faced down at the ground.

"All good now, then?" he asked, looking up again to find the girl standing on her own two feet, no longer needing the help of her attacker. "If you don't mind, I'd like to take this conversation away from the trees. They might be spying on us," he added, throwing the surrounding trees wary glances before turning back to the girl before him. They couldn't just stand there all afternoon, after all. And he felt safer away from trees.

Laughing genuinely, Ivory brushed a strand of hair back out of her eyes. "Sorry, it wasn't my intention to traumatize." Trees. Killer trees.

Eyes dancing in mirth, she nodded her head. Swords and shields that sounded about right. "You don't know it but this was actually my plan all along, to recruit you into my band of Nature fearing vigilantes." Yes, it had all been a ploy. "Not for vengence mind you. Nooooo, for the children. The poor first years and second years wandering the grounds alone without protection against tripping roots and falling leaves. " Hand to her heart in faux pity, she even quivered her lower lip as only a girl can for maximum effect. "Think of the children."

The lip quiver though is what did her in. Laughing and giggling, Ivory straightened up not the least bit dizzy anymore and a bunch of leaves and one bump to show for it all. And of course a dedication in a book.
Giving him a quirky grin at his shame faced look, she reached over and in an uncharacteristic move (at least for her) she patted him on the arm. "Oh no rush. You have years. Years to scour dictionaries for synonyms for killer nature antics." Smiling she stepped away from the trees and back onto the path not a wobbly moment in sight.

"Sounds like a plan." Continuing the conversation and moving away from the trees. Inclining her head down the path, she looked at him with a questioningly crooked smile. To walk or not to walk.

Oliver the kneazle was not known for his great timing.

Sophie listened Evan mentioned his parent’s reaction to his prefect badge. They had been excited and proud not unlike her own parents. "My parents were shocked at first. Then proud and happy, my mum even shed a few tears of joy since she had hoped that I’d become a prefect."

Evan shrugged again to indicate he knew no better. "I think he should be scary, I mean, if he is to protect all the students..." And plus the fact that he probably didn't want anyone to take him as a shoulder to cry on. He looked like a busy man, and it made the prefect uncomfortable talking about him like that. Change of subject.

"Remember you would teach me flying?" he asked with a grin on his face. "Wanna practise now?" Because frankly, they didn't have anything better to do, and today was a beautiful day. Perfect for ~~getting closer~~ doing something useful. "Unless, of course, you prefer the peace in here. Both are fine with me." He also liked the peace and being almost alone. So it was all her choice, of course, being a gentleman and such. Hehe.

He laughed at the kneazle. "You must be tired!" he said. See? That was his reason for not owning an animal, they were unpredictable. He'd much prefer playing with someone else's kneazle and sleeping for a day, thank you.

Relieve, it wasn't only his mother that cried. "I think every mum had some tears falling down..." he commented. "But mine never imagined that, for--" he halted there, in mid-sentence. He didn't really want to bore her with his reasons. And he wasn't sure if he would be able to tell it just yet. Instead, he asked quickly "So, what do you want to do now?" A good enough distraction? He hoped so.

"Little piggies is hardly counting." Sabel clarified, drawing off her other shoe and watching her foot warily, as if he expected it to offer it's own protests to loosing the shoe. "There were no numbers involved so it can't be counting."

He turned his grin up to Arya, tilting his head a little. "Now, if I was to actually count, it would go something like this." And with much amusement he tilted his head down a little and playfully picked between her toes (which was only done because he knew her feet were clean). "One piece of lint. Two pieces of lint."

Taylor went and sat down on one of the benches on the pathways- she played with the hem of her cute new coat and sighed as she looked around- it was so pretty out here, she had missed it so much, she breathed in the fresh air and smiled to herself as she wound a loose blonde curl around her finger.

"I think it'll be pretty big- all family, friends. Whoo!" Tay giggled excitedly to Scar- "And great hun!" she said relieved, hugging her bestie close. "I've missed you so much Scar, really- you're my bestie, I can rely on you so much." she told her honestly- knowing that Scar wouldn't run off and say the same thing to a million other people, like she knew some others would do.
"Yeah, i am designing it, it's going to be one of those big Princess ones! - and the bridesmaid dresses too, they'll be floor length for sure, I just don't know what colour scheme to have yet..." she said thoughtfully with a big smile. "It's going to be held out in my Grandad's gardens, of his estate. So... something quite summery... maybe some shade of pink? Champagne colour? If ya get me?" she said, thoughtfully again.
