Maybe if you practice a little while and then try out next year when you get better, you'll have a better chance of flying and getting on your team.

This year it seemed, so many people shared his and Selina's passion of quidditch, that's all he heard half the time at Hogwarts tonight.

Iris looked at Zoey with a funny look as she started giggling a lot, and eating her robes. "What're you giggling at?!" She said, laughing at Zoey's laughter.

Were boyfriend's REALLY that funny to look at?

Iris grinned and rolled her eyes. "N'aww.... Well, obviously the Green table is far better. It looks like a rainbow right now. Soooo many colours." HEHEHE.

As Satine came up with a silly excuse for Aaron's lateness, Iris chuckled and hit Satine's arm. "Shuddup you... haha." Iris highly doubted that this was his reason... but y'know... Irony works in funny ways. Who knows, eh.

Since Aaron appeared, Iris looked considerably calmer. Less freaked out.

Iris nodded and smiled. "Good."

Oooh... Foreign kids. See, Iris didn't even register accents any more. There were that many of them in Hogwarts that Iris just didn't take notice of them. "Oooh, wow. America? That's fantastic." She smiled. "Yeah... England's very different. I'm sure you'll learn to fit in quickly enough, though."

"I'm a Sixth year, too. I suppose I'll be seeing you in a lot of my classes, then?"
Iris grinned and shook her head. "I will now... But I was worried." Pssh... Iris pouted for a moment, then laughed. At least Aaron was okay... and that nothing bad had happened to him.

"Prepare to make fun of me..."

Why did this make Iris really not want to hear the story?

Iris sat there, momentarily ignoring the other people at the table as she listened to Aaron explain where he was. Iris sat there, biting the insides of her lips, trying to NOT laugh at him... but it was TOO difficult!

Seriously... how many other Quidditch Captain's have gotten themselves locked inside a toilet cubical? "Aaron.... You're an idiot. You know that, right?" Iris said finally, whilst laughing.

"It's a good job you did get out, though... Or you'd be halfway back to London right now..." Iris mumbled, taking hold of his hand.

Katie smiled, it was great to have some support from friends "Thanks, I am just so nervous that I won't get on the team" Katie said half frowning, she didn't like the idea of getting hit by balls but so badly wanted o be on the team "Maybe I could help you with riding a broom?" Katie said smiling, she would love to help her friend, that would be awesome!

Katie looked over at the boy, 'That was the quidditch captain right?' She thought, she hoped that he would think she was good, she smiled at him and said, "Your the quidditch captain for Slytherin right? I'm Katelyn Star by the way" Katie said she knew even if she knew him he wouldn't favor her, that was cheating, she just wanted to know who would be her maybe captain.

After being sorted by the sorting hat, Matt headed over to the Slytherin table; he knew that Raven would be proud of him for getting into her former house but now he realized it was time to set himself apart from the aptly named "Evil Slytherin" which was going to be a challenge but there was plenty of time to work that out. He took a seat at the table and began loading up his plate with the many different varieties of food, this was definitely something that he could get used to over time.

Meredith smiled. "Ooh, cool! Well you should!" Meredith smiled. "Oh, thanks. Yes, thats what i was thinking too." she said. Hmm, did she really wanna be on the team? Yes, she did, very much so. "I guess i will just have to keep trying until i get it." She smiled. "Thanks" shed said. "Hmm, being chaser would be pretty fun!!" She replied, smiling of course

Sierra's thought process was interrupted when a boy about her age slid down a little, coming to a stop just beside her and Marie. Oh, so at least she wasn't the only one who previously had no idea who Professor Truebridge was. She could almost hear Evelyn's voice telling her to never ask such a question again. "That man," she said, glancing over to Lamar for a split second. "is Professor Truebridge. He teaches Ancient Runes." She'd overheard him mention that a few minutes ago, when he'd stopped observing to talk with a few of the other Slytherins. As for the boy's other question, Sierra thought that maybe Evelyn or Marie would be the better choice to answer that one for him.

Besides, Sierra had glanced up just in time to see that she'd caught Professor's Lafay's attention. ...and great, it didn't exactly look like she'd caught it in a good way either. What a way to be greeted, too! There were so many answers Sierra wanted to give in reply to that question.

What is it?

The object in your hand? A sour apple.
The kid sitting just across from me? A Puffer Girl.
The question you just asked me? Completely annoying.

Her father would have words with her, though, if she didn't get on Lafay's good side. "What's what?" Sierra asked, putting on her best "seemingly innocent Slytherin" smile. The answer would be amusing, because if the woman claimed Sierra had been staring at her, well, Sierra was just going to claim she'd been staring at her right back!

"Yes, America is pretty amazing. I'll miss it a lot, but I've been enjoying being in England over the summer. It gets rather boring when you first arrive and you don't know anyone, however." She said.

"Oh, well it's nice to meet someone in my year and my house." Evangeline said. "Yes, I suppose I will be."

Glancing around her, Evangeline noticed a really familiar face. It took her a few seconds, but then she realised it was the guy from the train. "Hey, Matt, right?" She asked. "I see you got sorted it Slytherin as well."

Another person she knew in Slytherin, and one who was American, too.

Adam saw a slytherin girl being approachable just as he had been doing that night, himself. So he scooted his way to this girl. She looked 13 so she too was probably a 3rd year .
"H...H..H..Hi. I'm Adam Burn, Lion."He told the girl, being a bit nervous.
His previous history with a few slytherins hadn't been good so he wondered if he'd hit it off or not with thus girl.

Fallon stuck her tongue out at Iris again. I just seemed appropriate. "Are blushing glands even a real thing?" She'd never heard of them in her Muggle school health classes. "Thank you. And I already told you that I'd explain later."

Fallon gave her friend a caring smile. It was kind of weird for Aaron to be this late. She wondered what had happened. "He'll be all right. It's Aaron. He can probably think of a way to get out of any situation."

She watched as Iris went off to go talk to Professor Lafay. She stared hungrily at the empty plates in front of her, hoping to eat soon.

Speaking of Aaron...

Fallon watched as Aaron entered the hall. She wondered what had kept him so long and why he was so late. Most people hurried as quickly as they could to get to the feast.

As he slid in next to Iris, Fallon turned to talk to him. "Hey Aaron." Fallon was going to ask what had kept him, but someone beat her too it. She tried not to laugh at his story. It really was quite funny.

"Well then you were thinking very well...Chaser...You seem fast, if how you talk is any indication how fast you are in the field, then you'll be fast and have a quick eye."Adam teased, by pointing at his own eye.

Aaron sighed... "Go ahead, laugh!" he said KNOWING she was holding it in. It was VERY funny to anyone else but Aaron. Only him... His first day as Quidditch Captain and he gets locked in a bathroom.

"I'm glad I got out too!" He said in sarcastic agreement. And then that made him think. Where do they keep the Hogwarts express...? Well, that wasn't important right now. "I don't knowr. She pulled from the hallway of the train as I pushed on the inside of the bathroom. And once it was open, she skipped off. Probably to catch up with her friends."
Aaron felt bad. he never got to thank the girl...

At least Iris had the decency to laugh at Aaron's.... um... clumsiness? Accident Prone! Probably not a good trait for a Quidditch Captain, he realized. "Yeah, it is good." Aaron felt Iris hand and took a hold of hers. He smiled before looking at the person Iris was talking to.

Zoom:

"Hello. Aaron Anderson, pleasure to meet ya!" He said with a grin.


"Hey, Fallon!" he said to his friend who had just migrated over here. Oh wow, the gang's all here.... At the Slytherin table.... Muahahahahaha!

Lifting his head up slightly once he heard someone speaking to him, Matt looked over and saw Evangeline. "Hey, yeah I see you remembered." He chuckled slightly then poured himself some pumpkin juice before taking a sip of it and setting the glass back on the table. "That I did, kind of a good thing since the family is made up of Slytherins and Ravenclaws, pretty much could have gone either way."

It would have been different had he been sorted into Ravenclaw, but he would have gotten used to it either way.

Dianna turned around to see a Gryffindor introduce himself. She smiled before telling him her name. "Hey Adam. I'm Dianna. Dianna Malfoy." she said with an air of confidence as she stretched her hand for him to shake. She didn't have much Gryffindor friends though so she was glad to have kind off made one.

Wow. A handshake and Adam didn't even have to do it. This girl was truly a different slytherin.
"Hi Dianna...You look 13. Are you in third year? Because if so I don't know how we haven't met if we are in the same year..."He said shaking the hand and then letting go.

Aaron was in the midsts of his conversation with his friends when he heard someone say 'quidditch captain...' So he turned to see a young girl looking at him. "Hello!" he said happily. The boy looked down at the badge on his robe and held it up for the girl to see. "I'm either the Quidditch Captain or someone else is FRANTICALLY looking for their badge." He let out laugh and smiled for the girl.

"I'm Aaron Anderson. I hope you're trying out." Aaron wanted to get lots of new faces trying out this term. That would be amazing for the team.

Satine smiled at SarahFallon (oops), "Girl, I don't know how I beat you over here from the Ravvie table...but I just had to come find everyone...I swear sometimes I think I should've been a Slythie and that hat was just playing a practical joke..." she said smiling.

"O Aaron, that's okay maybe she was just a figment of your imagination or your guardian angel as the Muggles call them that came to save you when you need help the most..." she smiled at him. "And for the record, I wasn't going to laugh at you just at the situation...." she paused and then went on..."I'm just glad you made it. Have you had anyone ask about Quidditch tryouts yet...you know usually the natives are restless and ready to go from day one." she said pointing at his shiny shiny on his chest.

Meredith smiled. "Haha, thanks" Meredith laughed when Adam talked about how fast she talked. It was true, she did everything fast, talking, running, and probably flying. She smiled. "Well thanks! I sure hope so! That is actually the main reason i want to be a chaser, for the speed." Meredith laughed again when Adam pointed to his eye.

"Oh hey," Meredith started "when i first came up to you why were you alone at the slytherin table?" Meredith asked

At this point Adam had to laugh at himself.Oh yes, his weird plan.
"Hah. Umm, I was just sitting there to see if how a Slytherin would treat me. I wanted to see if they'd tell me to get off Slytherins and Gryffindors are rivals Or if they'd actually talk to me...It's a weird thing to do but most slytherins don't act like a slytherin now a days..."He explained.

Fallon smiled at Aaron. She was so glad to have everyone there. It was nice to be with all of her friends she'd met that first day on the train. To think if she'd never gone in their, she might still be incredibly shy and not talk to anyone.

"So you got stuck in the bathroom?" She'd heard the whole story, but it still made her giggle.

Fallon shrugged her shoulders. "I went the long way around and got stuck behind some people blocking the walkway." She definitely scared those little first years. She hoped not all of them would be scared of her like that. Fallon laughed. "If it is, it's an awfully long lasting prank."

As the guy Iris was talking to turned to Evangeline, she smiled at him. "Nice to meet you, I'm Evangeline Benford." She said. She glanced down and saw that he was wearing a Quidditch captain badge.

Interesting. "So, you're quidditch captain?" She asked. She never was one to play on the quidditch team, but she loved watching it.

"Oh, really? I believe I'm the first one in my family to actually go to Hogwarts." Evangeline said. So it wasn't important that she got a particular house, but she was happy about the house that she was in.

"So, what do you think about Hogwarts so far?"

When he let go of her hand Dianna took a goblet and sipped from it before answering back. "I do? Most people say I look like ten.." she grinned. "Well yeah I am in my third year though..and I believe I haven't seen you much." she said with a shake of her head. She really needed more Gryffindor friends.

"But I do believe that I have heard of your name before.." she added. Maybe one of her friend's have mentioned an Adam Burn before???

She laughed, yeah he was the quidditch captain, she could tell, she knew he would be a great captain, yup indeed

"Nice to meet you" Katie said, ohh, he hoped she was trying out! Thats good cause she was, "Yeah I am, I was wondering two things, one was I'm a second year but I was wondering if first years are aloud to try out?" jeez she sounded stupid saying that "And also when are the tryouts?" Katie smiled as she asked the questions, Katie loved to ask things.

Aaron already loved being captain. He was popular!!! "Pleasure to meet you as well!" Ooh, questions. "Sure, first years are allowed to try out. I encourage it! I tried out my first year, and I made reserves!" Oh... way back when... Good times... Good times....

"Ooh, I don't know," he said in response to the second question. "I have to find out from professor Vindictus, the flying instructor, when they are." The brown haired boy pointed up to the staff table where the Ravenclaw head was sitting. "But! As soon as I find out, I'll post it in the common room."

"Well, it's certainly different from what I'm used to. I spent the past 3 years in a private magic academy in Los Angeles where we pretty much got to do whatever. Though it wasn't as big as Hogwarts is." Matt looked around the table at his housemates before turning his attention back to Evangeline, it was totally rude not to be paying attention to the person that he was talking to.

"The ones who fear me have done something wrong and should fear me." She said shrugging.

"Why. Are. You. Staring?" She said glaring down at her.
