" I cant say unless you can promise me no one else and I do mean no one else can hear us " pressing his back further against the book case ,and trying to slow his breathing down befor he snaped at the potions mistress " Do you think I am a rude disrespectful Child?" eye's cast to the floor

Hecate cast a strong silencing charm. "Now, no one will hear."

She raised an eyebrow. "Yes. You don't mean to be, and you aren't all the time. But sometimes you come off as disrespectful."

He, of course, did not think of asking 'why' a second time though he could not understand the reason and wanted to know it. So, immediately stopping as she told him to do so and not uttering a single word, the Gryffindor did not even breath for a moment to obey her. Was he in trouble now? He did not know. Yet when he heard what she'd said next, it not sounded like he was going to be in trouble to him. Perhaps. He was not sure and had no idea. Mistress Lafay was pretty unpredictable.

In his deep silence, which he tried hard to keep, Josh obeyed her next words sitting down on the nearest thing he considered he could sit and not really knowing if he should say something now, the lion boy just stared at Lafay with a blank expression.

Then when she spoke I knew she was upset,I tried to explain and appolgise to her, and the more I spoke the more panicked I became, Knowing I might have just messed up my chance of becoming a healer. Then I fainted. She zapped me back awake and sent me to her waiting room to wait my turn " the more he told the story the more he felt the panic rise in him again " I went back in to the office when she called me. I told her what had happened, She said Mr Gervik was an assoiate of hers and that if I thought I had mis-spoke to him then I should take it up with him,and that is what I had planned on doing ,,,, then this 5th yr Raven claw girl made some comment bout my crying and I went off on her" putting up his finger to make a point " I did appolgise later to her ,but then not too long ago I just went off on a 6th yr Griff for picking on and 1st yr Slythering for visiting her brother who is in Hufflepuff in the huffs corridor......This is not like me I dont know what is going on "

"First, I demand respect. You will not talk to me in this manner. Though I did not think you an idiot, repeat that performance and not only will you have proved me wrong, you will find yourself in detention, cleaning Flobberworm slime from the walls with your toothbrush, with a lot less points in the Gryffindor hourglass.

"You dont like her because she was busy?" She tried to clarify. Good thing this was the short version... "Just tell me what's wrong Master White."

Still not moving a muscle, Josh kept staring at Lafay in his silence as she started to speak again. Well...the boy did not think he disrespected her. If he did, he was probably going to do something else instead of talking to her like an ordinary student. He was aware that he did a mistake but it did not mean he disrespected her. At least he thought that way.

A little smile appeared on his face when the woman told that she did not think he was an idiot. That was a good thing to hear from Lafay. Aaaand detention? Hmph. When the Gryffindor heard this part of her speech, he tried his best to not to snort since he did not know how many times he had heard this 'detention' word so far. However cleaning Flobberworm smile from walls did not sound fun. ''I am sorry, professor.'' so he said scratching his chin some ''It won't happen again''. Plus there was the fact that his housemates might jump on him if he had caused Gryffindor to lose more points while they worked hard to gain them.

Then without moving his dark brown gaze away from the Potions Mistress, the Gryffindor boy stood up and smiled at her again. ''Then i suppose i should get out of your sight now. Before i might annoy you further''

a look of shock comes over him "No I thought I was waiting for her I just didnt see the sign. I had never met her befor,and to be honest I wanted to wait to meet her untill You thought I was going to be good enough in potions befor I even talked to her about being a healer. struggleing for words that wouldnt upset his favorite teacher "Please understand you might not agree with the way my father is relaxed around people. But I was raised to Respect my elders,and I think outher than call you Ms. on my first class I have been ,and as much as I respect you it is like 100x that for Ms Moreitti because I want to be a healer soo much. not able to look at her in case she was upset at the remark.

"Gevrik and I are the best of friends Master White... I don't understand your hesitancy." She said rolling her eyes.

The Gryffindor boy was about to take his very first step towards the door when Lafay ordered him to sit again making him halt in a sudden. Also this was quite surprising to him since he thought the woman would be glad to get rid of him and his babbles of a overly protective lover.

So, blinking a few times at the Potions Mistess till he had managed to decide that what he had heard was the reality, he breathed heavily and nodded before sitting down again. Why could not he leave? Maybe she had some business to make him deal with oooor else... he had no idea.

Yet it turned out that Josh did not have to think over this much when he heard the question. Well...he would definitely drink or eat anything Evelyn would give to him. But...that was not the question. ''I...'' he began but could not complete it for he was unable to remember something like that. He could recall that they had spent pretty much time together so far and shared...things. He then remembered snogging her...not only once. Then there were those classes they sat together and... ''I don't know, professor''

There were so many things as a result he was unable to pick one consisting food or drink among all those memories. ''I don't remember'' however there was one memory with...drink he had remembered right after those words. ''...i think, once she filled me a goblet of pumpkin juice. We were...just spending time at the Gryffindor Table in the Great Hall'' But why on earth did Lafay need to know that? ''May i ask why you are demanding this information?''

You would see your memories forcibly flash in your mind and in the Legilemens mind. Master White, Mister Gevrik is very intuitive. That is all. I suggest you get to know him." Now this sounded suspicious yet Josh preferred not to push further not to make the professor mad at him for good reason. There was also the fact that she would already have told him what the reason was if it was possible to convince her to do so.

So, deciding to forget about it, maybe she was just curious, Josh jumped on his feet once he was dismissed. ''Thank for your time and help, Professor Lafay'' he said trying to sound polite enough then with a last nod at her, he picked up his Gryffindor robes and tie just before leaving the office and walking into the dark dungeon corridor.

Now, it was time for a little bit of fun.

"Oh... and Carter?" She said calling him back in. "You will not hit anyone else. Do you understand? If I hear you have hit anyone at all, even as an accident, not only will I put you in detention, but I will curse your hands to hit yourself, do you understand?" She said.

Yes, once again Josh was in Mistress Lafay's office but this time...was different. This time it was a great possibility that he'd be in more trouble. He had already lost twenty points but it did not mean Lafay would not like to punish him further for it was a possiblity that she had discovered the fact that point loss did not affect the boy much, just like Professor D had found out.

''Yes, Professor Lafay'' the Gryffindor boy said with a calm and confident tone when the woman called him by his last name. And the rest of her words were...very interesting to hear. Once she was done, Josh quickly nodded and took a step closer to her ''I do understand professor. But...'' If the case, any case, concerned Joshua Carter there was always a 'but' after every statement. ''...you just said 'You will not hit anyone else' Anyone else. Which i got as 'You'll not hit anyone else after hitting Jake' so can not i draw this sentence to a meaning like 'You will not hit anyone else but you can still hit Jake because i said anyone else.' hmmm? Can't i?''

Of course this was a joke that he used to try and ease the current slighty stressing air in the office. However there was of course a possiblity that it could make things worse since he did not know how Lafay took jokes like that. No idea. He was going to see, after all. And there was something else...

''And about cursing my hands to hit myself, dear Mistress, i don't think that would work as efficient as you'd like it to do so. Because to throw a good enough punch one need to rise the fist in a certain distance to the target. So during the attack, it can gain the necessary speed and adding this to the strenght of the attacker the punch would be good enough to break the target's nose or chin or else. But if you curse my own hands, there would not be enough distance between them and my face to make me feel the great pain. And also, there's something you need to know : i have been punched a lot before, mostly during fights and i generally do not mind such pain. Sooo, i suppose you must find another way to punish me''

"Master White... if you wish to have a calming draft, I wouldn't do it yourself. Go to the nurse, and your Head of House, the reasoning behind why you do not trust your head of house, would be the same for you not to trust me. Go to her and request a calming draft." she said patiently... well.. as patiently as she could, "I, Master White, do not have any to give you." She walked to the door and opened it for the boy. "Off you go."

The very moment the woman completed her first sentence, a slight but confident smile was formed by the Gryffindor boy's lips. Five points...he could take but there was no such thing that could be called sheer cheek. But the boy, not to be seen disrespectful of course because he had never even thought of doing it to Mistress Lafay , quickly stopped smiling before it should annoy her and just waited for her to finish her words before he'd object to them.

Well...not all of them. Just the part with the 'sheer check'. If he had considered and planned saying anything that could be comphended that way, as the boy thought, it would possibly be way worse than she had perceived that one. He had nothing left to lose after all. Looking at the woman's face with a serious expression Josh Carter took a deep breath before he uttered and word, then ''I'm truly sorry, Professor. Sorry. I did not mean it. I just hoped i might be able to help you by explaining a little bit of information about one of the few things i am good at...'' actually he was not good at 'few' things. He was the master of everything. But since he was speaking to Mistress Lafay, he had to sound as modest as possible. ''...Muggle Style Fighting.'' at this point he gave her a quick and serious nod ''Again, though, i'm sorry for discomforting you with my words ''

After just standing there in silence, wondering if she'd accept his apologies, in a sudden he felt like commenting one of the other sentences. ''And i have no girlfriends professor...'' ...But if you'd like to be one of them, feel free to go ahead... Surely and successfully Josh bit his tongue before that could be said by him. Yet it was not that he was scared to voice it. It was because she had mentioned taking 100 points and this meant totally ruining and betraying his housemates' efforts to collect them. He was not going to do that though he had no relation with points except losing some here and there. Plus there was the fact that voicing that sentence would probably make him lose much more than 100. Perhaps 900.

''No more hitting.'' then he repeated nodding again to ensure her ''I promise on my honour professor. I won't hit anyone ever again even if they might hit me, insult me, or do anything worse than those.'' And since he was kind of thrown out with that rather cold and bitter 'Out', the boy kindly bowed at her a little and turned to walk towards the door.

He, already, was going to have no reason to hit anyone anymore. Because he had lost Evelyn.

And as that thought hit him, Josh automatically halted before the door just when he was about to escape the office. And at that instant, he felt...horrible, depressed, miserable...the list could go on forever. He had to save himself from this otherwise it was not going to end good for him. He needed something to make himself happy at least for a moment despite how impossible it felt. So, the Gryffindor turned his back again and looked at the professor still with the same serious expression.


''Professor, sorry to bother you.I know i have not given you the impression of a good person so far. Yet i truly did not mean it. I honestly do respect you a lot'' he stopped for an instant to take another breath ''So...well...would you like to come to the Tea Party with me? Please!''

Go to your head of house? If Josh should ever do that mistake, Mistress Librarian would surely strangle him or hex him or curse him or anything else he could not think of. He definitely was not scared of being strangled, cursed, hexed or even killed yet he did not want Madam Donovan do this kind of thing to him because she might get in trouble after that. Anyway...What Lafay was saying was totally against everything Josh owned as characteristics. He'd never run and find a professor to whine about being attacked. That sounded like something the biggest cowards would do.

But it was a fact that Mistress Lafay was being nice to him, at least he got it that way. So he was supposed to find a polite way to reject what she said. ''Thank you, Professor'' he said slightly smiling at her ''I am grateful to you for that. But...'' again but. But what? What was he going to say? ''...but i can't do it. I hope you'd understand'' Was she a Slytherin? Josh did not think Slytherins was bad. The girl he devoted himself to was one of them after all. Yet it was true that most of them could not understand the reason behind his acts. Even Evelyn.

Looking at the woman for about a couple minutes in silence, the Gryffindor boy nodded accepting the answer and right after he cheerfully waved at her, he lazily walked out the door.

"Miss Hopkins, Miss Firestorm-Smithson, Come in please..." She said "Miss Draven, Miss Barken, did you not hear me? Are you just going to stand there? Come in already."

Oh no, Rowan thought to herself. She could not discuss her problem with other students here. She entered the office and quickly glanced around, surprised at the lack of books. She'd expected Potion recipe books at the very least. "Thank you for seeing me Professor," she said and politely waited to be offered a seat.
