Kim scared at the angry of the Professors voice he slowly opened the door and walked and gave a slight bow of his head as it was traditional in his families custom. He slowly closed the door and walked up and calmly took a the seat in front of the Professor.

Nervous not to anger the already anger stricken Professor. Kim fiddled with his hands in his lap as he looked at the professor he calmly and kindly said "Good day Proffessor Lafay I hope your well." His voice started to crack a little.

"I'm fine Master Bum, and the weather is nice as well... now that the pleasantries are out of the way, what do you need?" Hecate said coldly. She wasn't one for small talk, so she liked to get that out of the way ASAP. "Well?"

"Well... I was wondering... if you might help me with... A Draught of Peace Potion?" Kim started shacking scared to hear the answer "Also I was curious what is Moonseed Poison?" again asking terrified.

"The Draught of Peace. Is this to learn... or to use?" She said summoning a phial from the wall... "You can have this one if you wish to merely use one. The bottle is charmed to only release one dose every four hours. So don't share it." She told him, but when he mentioned the poison she narrowed her eyes at boy.

"Moonseed poison... is a poison." She said cautiously. "It won't affect animals, but it will kill and paralyze a witch, wizard or muggle... It's the only cure to lycanthropy... though it will leave the animal alive and kill the human, so it isn't used. Why do you ask?"

Kim bowed when she offered the phial and said "I promise not to share it Professor its just alot is on my mind" and when the Professor said it could kill someone Kim went instantly pale and sweat started forming nervously answering "I found a vial of it on my bed when I am here this term" Kim pulled the vial out of his pocket and looked at it "I would have never thought it was that dangerous, tho it looks so pretty." Kim handed the vial over to the Professor afraid to keep a hold of it. "Here Professor if its that dangerous can you take it?"

She took the vial and opened a drawer, putting it in there. "You did well for bringing it to me. Five points." She said and nodded to the child. It was about time a Hufflepuff showed some good sense... "If that's all..." She said opening the door with her wand.

Heather walked into the room slightly scared. She had to be confident now though, and hold her own. "Professor Lafay, I'm Heather Miller. I'm one of your students this year." Heather gave a well rehearsed bow. If she could read this professor and get on her good side there's a chance the horror stories Heather's heard go around won't happen to her.

"Miss Miller." Hecate said narrowing her eyes at the kid. "I have not invited you in. And I am not finished with Master Bum... I will call you in when I am ready."

Kim took his leave as he slowly walked out he gave another small bow and exited from the office hoping not to waste the professor's time. Kim was happy to have earned five points but he was gonna miss the vial that had the pretty poison in it but he knew it was for the best if he held on to it he might have gotten in alot of serious trouble.

Hecate walked the boy to the door and looked out.

"Fine... Master Lycaon, Prefect Cartwright, Prefect Beaumont, Miss Miller, Miss and Master Greingoth, Miss Patterson..." Oh for Merlin's sakes... "Master Fletcher, Miss Skye, and Master White. Come in. The lot of you."

Once in the office, the very first thing Sierra noticed was the uncomfortable looking chair just in the front of the desk. She wouldn't be sitting there, of course. She be nice and save it for the girl who'd called her a sweetie out in the corridor a few minutes ago. Standing would be alright for now. After all, she didn't plan to stay for hours.

...she didn't even know, exactly, what she planned to do at all. She had absolutely no reason for being in here right now, but she wouldn't dare admit that to her Head-of-House. "Hello, Professor Lafay. I came by to properly introduce myself, as my father seems to think a lot of you and has had quite a few good things to say," she greeted. It was hard to say a line like that without it seeming as a near suck-up, but Alexander Greingoth did sincerely seem to like this woman.

Even if, for reasons Sierra couldn't even imagine, the woman apparently had a thing for Hufflepuffs. Tournament Boy had just said so, at least.

"I'm Sierra Greingoth, first year Slytherin," she continued. "I've just written my father and informed him of mine and Alex's sorting results." She drew in a small sigh and added, "I'm sure he'll be pleased with...mine, least." Yeah. She still hadn't gotten over the fact that her own twin brother was now a genuine Puffer Boy.

Hecate wasn't in any mood to meet new students... She was about to tell the girl, 'Ok, you did that, get out,' when she heard the last name. Alexander's girl... though, looking at her, she looked more like Bella's girl. She knew the kid was in the hall with her brother, but didn't realize she was the first one who'd talk... "Your father was a close friend of mine, while in school..." she said and looked for the brother... "this doesn't give you preferential treatment, I hope you understand." She said narrowing her eyes.

"Hello Professor Lafay." Heather said confidently as she walked into the room. No use in repeating what she already knew by stating her name. "I was wanting to introduce myself to all the teachers. I find potions quite exciting, and am eager to learn." Heather paid close attention to the Professors movements and words, trying to profile her in her head. She was quite good at reading people, after all.

Hecate turned to the child. "Yes, Miss Miller, potions is very exciting. If it wasn't I wouldn't be teaching it." Really, what a silly thing to say. She sat back in her chair. "I hope you are apt at it. I don't like having people in my class who explode their cauldrons..." She said honestly.

As she glanced at her Head of House and listened to what the woman had to say, Sierra nearly had to fight the urge to laugh out loud. Why? Oh, not at Lafay herself, of course! She'd never laugh at her Head of House, nor any good friend of her father's, at that. She wanted to laugh, though, because her father had Hecate's personality down pat--perfectly! The woman was just as her father had described her, and it made Sierra want to laugh at how uncanny it was that he seemed to know her so well. Thankfully, her fight to not laugh out loud won out, and her expression remained just as it had before.

Realizing the professor was glancing out into the hallway, undoubtedly looking for the line full of students that had also been waiting, Sierra briefly turned and glanced out there herself. None of them, not even the ones who'd been in line before her, had come inside. Turning back around, she said, "I have no idea where Alex is. He was actually leaving just before you came out. Maybe he went back to his own floor of the castle." She shrugged then returned her attention back to the conversation.

"Was a close friend?" she asked. What did the woman do? Ditch him? According to her father, they were still close friends. Sierra nodded in understanding when Lafay clarified that her friendship with Alexander wouldn't give his children preferential treatment. "Oh, you don't have to worry about that. I never use my father as a backbone. Well, not all the time, at least," she remarked. "Besides, he's already told me they'll be no such thing."

Furthermore, Sierra could make her own connections all by herself. She didn't need her father for that.

"I will prove to be a better student than that." Heather assured her. "I may not have lived in a pro-wizard environment, but I learn quickly. I hope you deem me adequate to continue potions class through the rest of my years here at Hogwart's" Heather may not be older than eleven but she had a good vocabulary and she aimed to impress.

He what? Went back to his own floor? He disobeyed my invitation and left?!?

As the anger rose, she realized the child was still talking... Ughh... "Yes, he was a close friend... he and I lost touch for some time and are not so close right now..." Though... that may change. "Good." At least the child didn't have the expectations...

Hecate raised an eyebrow at the child. "Very well then. We'll see how you do in class. Was there anything else?"

Really not wanting to talk about this infront of all of these younger students, OR Evan for that matter, Iris reluctantly walked into the office after some of the younger students. Fidgeting with her prefect badge, Iris looked to her Head of House. "Professor... Um, if you don't mind... can I wait until you've spoken to everyone else? ... It's just that I don't want to go yelling this all over the school."

Well, it's not that it was insanely, 100% top secret information... Iris only came to Professor Lafay's opinion, her input... possibly some reassurance. (Iris wasn't sure of how much of that one she'd get, though.) Even so, though... The prefect didn't want all of these people that she didn't know very well - or Evan - to know what she was talking about to Lafay.

Now Hecate's attention was diverted to the prefects. "No need to wait, this isn't a muggle school, we have charms I can cast to hinder hearing from others." She then looked to Cartwright and back at Beaumont... "And are both of you here for the same reason?" She asked? This way she could charm both of them.

Walking in to the office he sets the box on the floor with aThump and pulls out a piece of muggle lined paper " Good morning Professor... Befor I Read you this.Please understand I know you might be upset with my father but I am just doing as I am told ... So would you like me to read the letter or just give you the high points.

Iris looked at Lafay and nodded, mentally facepalming herself. Why didn't she think of that? "Oh! ... Okay, that works too ... Thank you." Iris shifted on her feet as the woman spoke. When Lafay asked if she and Evan were here for the same reason, Iris looked to the boy and shook her head. "No, we're not. Or... at least I don't think we are."

... If Evan really was here for the same reason, then Iris didn't know what she was going to do.

She glared at the boy and said slowly and menacingly, "Read the letter..."

"Would you be averse to having Prefect Cartwright in the conversation? If this is a prefect matter, he too should be involved... if on the other hand it is..." she closed her eyes and swallowed once, "personal..." and reopened her eyes, "I will hinder his ability to hear us as well."

Was it just her imagination, or was Lafay suddenly appearing a bit angry? Sierra couldn't imagine what she could possibly be angry about, so she cast the thought off as just her imagination running wild on her. Then again, from what Sierra knew about Lafay, her attitude could go from zero to sixty in a matter of seconds. She definitely wanted to be careful with how she worded things around her Head of House.

Oh. Thanks, Dad. Way to break ties with the Slytherin Head of House just as I get to Hogwarts.

"I see," she simply answered. "That's too bad you lost touch, although, I'm pretty sure he still considers you a close friend. That's what he was just telling me, at least." She wanted to ask what had caused them to break friendship and lose ties, but she sort of had a feeling she'd get asked to leave if she brought up a sore subject.

"Professor, how do you feel about Hu---..." Sierra's question was cut short when the other students started arriving. Oh, darn. She'd really hoped to get to ask that particular question, too. Maybe if she stuck around long enough, though, she'd be able to figure out the answer all on her own.

Forget how the professor felt about Hufflepuffs! Well, for now at least. Apparently, the Slytherin prefect had some good, juicy gossip to discuss with the professor, and although Sierra was apparently going to blocked from hearing a bit of it, it still seemed exciting, nonetheless!

Hearing a loud thumping noise behind her, Sierra turned to see that some Puffer Kid had come inside to deliver a package...from his father?!

Fletcher had announced that Lafay had a thing for Hufflepuff men, and although Sierra had tried desperately to not believe it, the evidence was right there in front of her--in the form of a mysterious box and a letter. Her own Head of House--a Puffer Lover! What was the world coming to?!

With an annoyed face and a soft sigh, she glanced toward the boy and listened to hear what the letter had to say. Sure, she was going to be blocked from hearing what her prefect had to say, but this--this was good stuff right here, and she'd get to hear it all!

Now...go ahead and read, Puffer Boy!

Iris eyed Evan out of the corner of her eye. "It's not a prefect matter, Professor." she said, quickly. She watched her Head of House as the woman talked, frowning slightly. Lafay looked like she was struggling with the whole "personal topics with a student".

The blonde looked between Evan and Lafay, still fiddling with her prefect badge. "Well, it's not... entirely personal. It's more... I want your opinion on something at would be personal to me. Study wise, I mean." Iris considered it whilst Lafay explained that she'd stop Evan from being able to hear them.

... Evan's smart though. And a prefect... He's a lot more responsible now than he used to be. "I don't mind if Evan can hear us." She said, finally. If anything, having him know about this would be a help. Hopefully.

Looking down at the letter...then back to the proffesor then back to the letter "professor I would prefer to give the high lights. If not could you make it so no one else can hear I think we both know how my Dad can be. and he used the D word bracing him self for what ever was about to come his way
