Jared's not big on formalities, but he likes a certain sense of decorum if possible. The door of the office is highly polished and, once you enter, the place carries the faint but lingering scent of expensive perfume. There's nothing special about the interiors - a big desk full of all sorts of drawers one can't see sits at the far end, facing a pair of high-backed chairs.
The only interesting things are - and perhaps not even those are interesting to the average person that enters - a medium-sized bookshelf full of old tomes, and a display that contains some of the things Professor Descoteaux has picked up on his travels, ancient and new, and gilded and worn-out. The office is enveloped in an invisible net of defensive spells to keep out intruders. There's a sneakoscope on the desk, and it spins all the time, though it has been charmed not to whistle.

Upon hearing the sound of what she assumed what the new Professor's voice, Alice turned the door and walked in. She took an open seat, smiling warmly at Professor Descoteaux. Once no one was talking Alice decided it was an okay time to introduce herself.
"Hello Professor Descoteaux, I'm Alice Page. I just wanted to introduce myself and say how excited I am for your class this term. And I'm so sorry if I completely butchered the pronunciation of your last name," said Alice with a gentle smile, her cheeks flushing in embarrassment as she was definitely sure she had not said his last name correctly at all.

Alice listened careful, giving a little nod at the end. She had no idea what he did before this, but for guess's sake she figured he was an auror. She knew that job could be rather dangerous...after all, when is dark magic not dangerous.
Her face fell slightly when he asked her if she had any ideas. "Perhaps something with ministry? Or teaching...it seems like it would be a fun job and rewarding at the same time." Alice tried to cover her fallen face with another smile. The whole issue with her parents was really starting to grate on her easy going attitude.

"Yes, thankfully I've got a bit of time before I have to make any concrete decisions," Alice said with a little chuckle. She mentally punched herself in the arm for letting her change in mood be so noticeable. She didn't want to bother the professor with her problems, but at the same time she felt like not saying anything would be just as bad. "Yes, I'm alright. It didn't sound like a lecture or advice. The former? Unlike him. The latter? He refrained from until asked for, and sometimes even then.
He dropped the subject then, so she did not feel like she had to open up, and moved on altogether. "I do hope you like chocolate," he said, smiling at the little Gryffindor. Chocolate had seemed like the safest flavour to summon.

There was one more Professor he had been planning to visit.
And no it was not Lafay because Legend wasn't insane and he did not suffer from a concussion.
It was that new Charms Professor who he couldn't for the life of him figure out how to pronounce his name. Walking by the office he raised his hand to knock on the door, but then changed his mind. Er-"Can I just come in?" He yelled loudly. The door looked unlocked anyways.

Walking into the office Legend grinned and did a lazy salute thing to the Professor. Dude. He seemed young. Like he had just graduated from...Professor school...or whatever. "'Sup Sir."
Making himself comfortable, Legend plopped into a random chair and leaned back. "Nice office you got here." He said looking around. He had never actually been in the Charms office before. "Oh, sorry for coming so early." Poor man probably didn't even have anything to eat! Oh well, eating probably wasn't in his job description.
