of Jared Descoteaux Jared's not big on formalities, but he likes a certain sense of decorum if possible. The door of the office is highly polished and, once you enter, the place carries the faint but lingering scent of expensive perfume. There's nothing special about the interiors - a big desk full of all sorts of drawers one can't see sits at the far end, facing a pair of high-backed chairs. |
Rene walked up to the door it was really polished and she could almost see her reflection. She knocked on the door and waited for the professor to open the door. |

"The door's open," he said, quietly closing a drawer. He could tackle the letter later. |
Rafe had been working on his latest invention, which he tucked comfortably under his arm. It appeared to be an ordinary quidditch quaffle, but it certainly was anything, but ordinary. He sought the advice of the Charms professor to see if he could help him in anyway with it and hoped he or she would have some advice to improve it. Rafe made his was to the third floor and just caught a glimpse of another girl about to enter, should he knock as well. He didn't want to be rude. What if that student sought a private discussion? Well, what was the worse thing that could happen? The professor would simply just tell him to wait. He walked right up to the door and gave it a knock. *Knock*Knock*Knock* |

Maie!<33 Okay. So Car wasn't here. Shame, too, because Ellie had JUST figured out that 'Car' was an amazing nickname. At least it was better than the 'Carl' she was thinking about last term. Who would've thought to just drop the 'l'. Too late now. But she still had to visit the Charms professor, whoever it might be. She'd told Nia she would. And she respected Nia and was going to keep her promises with her. So here she was. She knocked a fun little rhythm on the door cuz she CAN, and waited to be let it. |

"Of course," He said, motioning towards the high-backed chairs that stood in front of his desk. If she'd like a seat. "I hope to see you in my class, Rene." Quote:

"The door's unlocked," Jared said. He could forget the letter tonight. Tomorrow, perhaps. |
Ellie flung the door open when she was allowed in. That was totally a man's voice, by the way. They had a GUY Charms professor this year? She walked in and scanned the room for the teacher. Her eyes fell on the only adult in there. HIM?! Forget Charms Professor, more like Professor CHARMing. "How's it, Professor?" Ellie said by way of greeting. Well, this could be an interesting year. |

"My office, do you mean?" Legitimate question. Obviously. |
Rafe entered the office. As soon as he entered he caught a faint smell of perfume. It wouldn't be that noticeable for your typical human, but with his heightened senses he could make it out strongly. Rafe couldn't help but laugh at the sneakoscope on his desk. He never found them very reliable. But, he quickly recollected himself and introduced himself, "Good day to you professor, I'm Rafe Lycaon and it's a pleasure to meet you." He gave a slight bow. He notice the girl who said hello first look all goo goo eyes at the professor, Rafe simply rolled his eyes at this. |

"But also life, I guess. And your day. Hogwarts..." It didn't really matter much. |

"I believe the first two are fine, thank you Ellie, but -" He gave her a half-smile that might or might not have been mildly apologetic - "I can't speak for the castle." He obviously knew her name. Quote:
"How may I help you, Mr. Lycaon?" |
Heather stumbled into the classroom and looked around. Okay she was lost. She cleared her throat. "Sorry everyone, didn't mean to barge in. I guess I took a wrong turn somewhere." Hmmm, Rafe was in here. He'll talk to you when he want to, girl. Don't bother him. She thought to herself. "This is rather nice though." Stay or go? Stay or go? "Eh, could someone point me to the astronomy tower?" |
*tries to remember how I worded this beforrree*:P Quote:
But he'd said her name, too. And her jaw dropped slightly. Just a bit. "How..." Did you know my name?! That was just creeeeepy. And she didn't even know HIS name. Wouldn't it make more sense for the students to learn the professors' names first? Because there were less professors, more students? |

"This is an office," he said neutrally. "If there is a nameplate on the other, I expect you to read it before you enter a room, next time." Merlin help her if she stumbled into Hecate's office. What else? "The astronomy tower is on the seventh floor." |
Quote:
"I'm that important, huh?" Joking. Heh. Ellie gave a weak smile...she was quite unsure how he would take it, given his 'speak for the castle' statement. Diversion? NO! She will not accept this. It was HER turn. She was INVITED. So, her turn. "Well I had promised a friend I would ask Car something, but seeing as she's no longer here..." Yeah, that's what you get for not paying attention to ME anymore. "I wanted to know how to perform a cushioning charm." In case she ever tackled Nia again. Or anyone else for that matter. Other than Jacob, he could hit the ground. |

Car? She must mean Carlton. "I see." He paused. "I'd love to help, Ellie, but I'm sure you can tell this is neither the time nor place." His office. Thee other people. "Does tomorrow evening suit you?" Quote:
He did not sound dismissive, merely mildly polite. |
Quote:
"Demoted! Professor..." She still didn't know his name. He was now at the bottom of her favorite teachers list. He would be above Bishop, but she wasn't on the list at all, so...kinda impossible. Hehe. Just kidding, again. She was sure she'd like him. He was pretty. "Uhmmm..." the little red haired girl acted like she was reaaallly thinking about this. "Sure? I don't exactly 'plan' things. Roll with the flow. That's THE way to live." Philosophical advice from Ellie Stone. |

Just friendly students? Tom Riddle had been a student too, that one time he had gotten away with opening the Chamber of Secrets. Oh. She needed help, too. "Of course," Jared said. He'd been using that phrase a lot lately and, had he not been at Hogwarts, might have been bothered by this. "If there's something that isn't covered in class, feel free to drop into my office again." Quote:
"Indeed. But believe me, it's good to plan sometimes." He'd have been eaten alive by a manticore long ago if he hadn't known to plan, and plan cunningly if needed. "I'll expect you tomorrow after classes, then." He liked this kid. He'd have to ask her the reason behind the attitude she had shown Renée, sometime. |

And that's what she'll call him as he still hadn't provided a name for himself. It's okay, though. The guessing game. She liked games. She shrugged. SOMETIMES, maybe. Like for Quidditch. But not most of the time. It was much funner to not plan. "Good. Cuz I'll be here." And with that, she stood to leave. This visit was totally unproductive. But LOADS of fun at the same time. So, no regrets here. See, Professor? Fun things happen when things don't go as planned. Point proven. |

A smile came across her face and she settled alittle and became alittle more calm. He had agreed to help in any way he could. "Thank you sir." she said "I apprciate all the help you can offer. I was also thinking af putting together something for the new first years a...a kind of way to make them feel comfortable in thier new surroundings and classes. Do you think that would be a good idea or a total bust?" She asked. She really wanted a professors opinion but of course his would not be the only one. |
Alice had heard there was a new Charms professor this term and she was very excited to meet him. She noticed a couple of other students in the office, but deciding it would be polite she gave the door a gentle knock once she was sure no one was speaking. Alice waited until the Professor gave her the go ahead to come in, or leave if he was busy. |
