Justin sort of smiled. Sooo! He needed to stop talking so much. IMPOSSIBLE! He couldn't help but giggle as Treyen blinked twice. Fun! "True. I guess there is a lot to learn about everybody. I mean, everybody has stuff that nobody knows" he said. Anyone who didn't just wasn't normal. Everyone had stuff hidden from the world. Everyone.
Justin nodded. "So basically you'll read almost everything. Any particular genre you like?" Probably not judging by what he'd just sai. But hey, he still may have had a particular genre he enjoyed more. It was possible.
Justin nodded. Interesting. "Yup. Really? Nice. No idea she was at Hogwarts. But then I did have two gap years from here". Or did he mean from a different school? But he hardly ever read deep into the Quidditch players. Just the main history of the castle. Appleby Arrows? Interesting. "Meh, still prefer Holyhead Harpies" he replied truthfully. His sister played for Wasps? He'd have to keep an eye out for her. "You ever played a friendly against her?" he asked.
Haha. He was right. "I agree." he said, with a nod. Treyen didn't even fully know himself. Though, he was still too young to figure things out on his own. And, it is quite possible that Arya may even know him better than himself.
Yup. Almost everything that stays still long enough for him to catch the letters. Hmmm, he pondered on the question for a moment. He really didn't have a favorite. Everything will do. He'd read Melanie's Potions textbook before sleeping, just because it seemed like the appropriate reading material at the time. "Not really, but from the Muggle world...I kind of enjoy their Science-fiction material, and it's amazing how close to our world their Fantasy one is," it amused him, truth be told, Muggles could be so inventive.
"As far as Wizarding books...any will do, except Romance novels and that stuff," yes, he didn't have an interest in that.
He smiled. "Yeah, she would've graduated last year, but got an early placement," which meant she was a wickedly good player. Treyen nodded, he didn't mind it, the Holyhead Harpies thing. That was a good team, and he supported ONE, not THREE. All for the better. As far as his sister was concerned, "Always, whenever she came home for Summer," and he'd run against a tree one of those times. Fun. "We played with my father, also, he played with the Arrows a while back," over 10 years ago, that is.

Amadeus was making his way along the corridor, having an internal struggle. His mind forced him forward. He must make it to the library, no matter how much his muscles ached from practicing at the pitch, because NEWTs were just around the corner and ready to bite him in the butt, along with the rest of his fellow seventh years. Yet, his heart wanted him to slow his pace, not simply to rest his weary bones but to take it all in. These were to be his last weeks at Hogwarts; he needed to savor every last bit. No matter how much he complained about being surround by juveniles who weren't worthy of his presence, along with his other woes filled with conceit, Amadeus would miss these hallowed halls of learning. For now, his mind was racing. If his team happened to make it to the quidditch finals, things would be even more hectic. Amadeus did not know what he'd do if he had to study for NEWTs and attend daily practices in order to face Hufflepuff in the finals.
Shaking it off, the blue-eyed blonde approached one of his favorite places in the castle: the door-sized mirror that blocked a caved-in passage. No matter how much of a rush he was in, the vain Ravenclaw could always take a moment to make absolutely sure that he was aesthetically pleasing. Not a hair seemed to be out of place and, had there been less students around, the boy might have even flashed a grin or two at himself. Smoothing out the lapels on his jacket, he straightened his shoulders as he examined himself from his gelled head to his spit-shined toes.

It wasn't something she did often, as she didn't have a lot of free time. The girl found lurking around random parts of the castle particularly tempting lately, though. It was probably something to do with the fact she'd be leaving Hogwarts in a few short months. Melanie didn't have a lot of time left and her, undoubtedly flawed, logic told her it would be a good idea to spend part of the time she did have taking pointless walks through the familiar corridors.
The girl's tennis shoes barely made a noise as she sauntered down the hallway, taking in everything around her as if she was at some sort of famous art show. Of course, Melanie couldn't help but notice the tall blonde in front of the mirror. Wondering who it was, she peeeeked around him to get a look at the glassy surface and-
Ohhhh! Yay! She knew him! ...Sorta. "Hi Amadeus." Melanie grinned brightly as she recognized the Ravenclaw, ceasing the peeking. She even stood a little straighter, mimicking his stiff posture to the best of her ability as she peered over his shoulder at the sliver of her that showed. Her green eyes were unblinking, as she stared straight ahead and pretended to be in Amadeus' shoes.

Amadeus turned his head to look over his shoulder. Who had dared to intrude on his daily hour of vanity? The harsh, irked expression on his face was quickly replaced by one of pleasant surprise. It must have been a coincidence that he was now meeting Melanie once again near the library. It nearly escaped his notice that she was imitating his exact pose. "Very humorous," He remarked, cocking his head to the side as he resisted rolling his eyes. "Good day to you, too."
Turning his head to face the mirror, Amadeus crossed one leg behind the other, ever so slightly, pursed his lips just a small bit, leaned on his heels with his arms loose at his side, and batted his eyelashes at the mirror in an attempt to imitate Melanie. Of course he was being very hyperbolic because the Lockhart girl definitely one of the prissy clones that pranced about the corridors, but he couldn't resist. Hardly being able to resist the laughter that yearned to escape his lips, he looked at her green-eyed reflection as he inquired, "What brings you around here, again? Studying for your NEWTs, going to class?"
Melanie merely nodded at his greeting, oblivious to any sort of irritation. She couldn't help but notice his behavior in front of the mirror, though. The Hufflepuff Captain's eyebrows went up in surprise as Amadeus Kipling, of all people, pretended to be a girl. And not just any girl. Her! She could hardly believe that was how he perceived her. PFFFFFT, she doubted she could even purse her lips or bat her eyelashes as well as he did!
The girl opened her mouth to protest at his imitation, but held back. It it was all in good humor, right? Also, Amadeus looked fairly amusing. Managing to brush away the initial irritation, she turned slightly to look at him, rather than the mirror. "Uhh..." she started out thoughtfully, at the inquiry, not entirely sure how to respond. She had sort of been... wandering purposelessly. Eh. "...I'm just... around." Oh, that didn't sound lame at all. "How about you?" she asked, smiling slightly.

Amadeus couldn't help but smirk at his own nonsensical antics. When did he ever act this silly? Maybe the stress of everything that was going on towards the end of his educational career had killed a few of his prudish brain cells. Turning toward the Hufflepuff, he nodded at her statement. "Just around is... good," He remarked, taking a hand to scratch his jawline for a moment before lowering it back to his side. "Just off to study, as usual," Deus remarked a bit tiredly. Since when had studying ever been a chore to the studious eagle? No one had been kidding when they had said that NEWT were the hardest things next to hog-tying the giant squid in the lake without magic. Right now, he pondered and thought that he would have rather taken on the squid. "Any grade less than Outstanding feels like a failure, on my part."
"And," He continued, trying not to roll his eyes, "Jacob has us practicing nearly daily. Although I'm sure you're working your team just as hard." He had to resist saying much else; by all rights, the captain of the team that he was to face in the final match of the season should have been his enemy. Oddly enough, she wasn't. The way things worked out sometimes puzzled the Kipling boy to no end.

Just good is good? Good then.
Melanie nodded sympathetically, detecting the note exhaustion in his voice. She felt the way he talked. Strangely, Melanie didn't mind having her time filled. She certainly preferred it to utter boredom... And knew how important it was for her future that she continued to be busy with both Quidditch and school. Perhaps not as busy as Amadeus, though. "Outstandings?" she repeated in disbelief, eyebrows arching up at the Ravenclaw's statement. "...On all of them?" Like, really? "Are you sure you aren't setting the bar a little too high?" Melanie suggested, eyebrows going up a little.
She shrugged when he mentioned how his Captain kept him busy. That was only natural, with the Championships coming up. Melanie was fully intent on keeping her team busy up until that point too, of course. And, you know... "Busy can sometimes be alright." she pointed out. Of course, when Melanie said that, she was talking more about the Quidditch kind of busy than the schoolwork kind of busy. Not that Amadeus could know that.

Amadeus simply shrugged, exhaling slowly. He knew that he shouldn't have been dawdling in the halls, but he also knew that he needed a small break from the rush of the day. "I'm confident in most of the subjects, so I'm not worried all too much. It's just divination that gives me a headache and a half. I like tea, but it doesn't seem to like me that much." Chortling in a blue-blooded, oh-so-English manner, he nearly winced at the thought of facing a crystal ball during the exam. Alas, it would probably be the only time he would ever be forced to deal with foretelling the future again, so that was definitely an appealing thought.
"Oh, of course! Busy is good," He nodded in complete agreement, adjusting the strap of his book bag on his shoulder. "Maybe things are just catching up to me after seven long years of being a workaholic, and many more to come. Albeit, in a different environment..." Trailing off, he tried not to grimace at the thought of his future career, which was beginning to look duller and duller by the day. He opened his mouth to say something, but all of a sudden, he heard the clock tower's bell ring across campus. Ding, ding, ding. Merlin's pants, was it really 3 PM?! He needed to be in the dungeons in ten minutes. Checking his watch to make sure that he wasn't being fooled by his neuroses, Deus grimaced. "Well, I'd best be off," He nodded, knowing he might have to sprint down the staircase. "I'll see you sooner than later." Flashing a quick smile, he sped off toward the grand staircase. The professor would murder him is he was even a second late. Knowing his busy schedule, the next time Amadeus would encounter Melanie would be at the pitch, which was a disconcerting thought to the blue-eyed boy. But he would be ready.
