It never felt over. But it was nice to know that Marie didn't hate her... Or, if she did, at least Neptune didn't have to apologize anymore. Neptune was not the best at apologies.

Which was to be expected, since she so rarely did anything wrong.

She closed her eyes to the burst of hot air and didn't even worry about her getting frizzy or poofy. It would, but it had to be better than being soaked. "Why....?" Neptune swallowed the lump and managed to keep most of the free-flowing tears at bay. She even put the towel down. "Why are you being so nice to me? You know it doesn't make sense." She had to know. But Neptune was also going to stand there and let Marie FIX her.

Why was she being nice? That was a very good question. One Marie really didn't have an answer for. "I'm.... I'm not really a bad person Neptune. I know I act mean a lot... but mostly it's only because I'm defending my friends... or someone has made me mad about something." Okay so she did have an answer. And now that she thought about it, everyone that she had punched this term was because she was defending her friends... except Carter. That one he got because he was a coward and wouldn't tell her how he really felt.

Once Neptune put the towel down, Marie turned her so her back was to the mirror and she was leaning against the sink. She then stared at Neptune for a minute. Okay, so the curls were back but there was a little frizz. That's alright though. She had her wand, she could fix that. Pointing her wand at Neptune... once again, she circled it around her head and did a hair defrizzing charm yeah, I just totally made this up. "Perfect." She said smiling at Neptune. "Now all we need to do is get your makeup fixed and you'll be ready to go." Waving her wand at Neptune's face this time she did a cleaning charm and instantly the tear stains and makeup smears were gone.

Now she needed to get Neptune's makeup from her bag. Once again with the help of her wand she got it. Pointing the wand at the bag she said, "Accio makeup," and out came all of Neptune's makeup. "I'm gonna put this on you and then we're gonna finally be able to leave this bathroom" That is once she fixed her own hair and makeup too.

After about ten minutes she had Neptune's makeup applied and stood back just looking at her for a few seconds. "I do believe you're ready to go face the world." Or at least the students and staff of Hogwarts. She turned Neptune around so she could see herself in the mirror. "What do you think? Think you can leave this bathroom now?" Marie knew she was. She was getting hungry and wanted to go get some lunch.

ooc: I go back to work today and wasn't sure when the feast was opening so I tried getting everything in this post. I'll be back in about 12 hours.

Neptune was completely silent and still while Marie worked. She cringed away the first time from Marie raising her wand, but when water didn't fill her mouth or her hair didn't set fire she relaxed into the pampering. Neptune hadn't been taken of this way.... all term. Not even when she went home for holidays had someone so thoroughly and thoughtfully attended to her.

...and of ALL people...

She leaned into the mirror, impressed at the light makeup, the curls, the whole deal. Neptune did not deserve this sort of treatment. Not after Runes. Not after Jim's birthday. Not after the Snitch (that thankfully had behaved itself in her purse). Not after all the looks. But she was glad for it.

And even sadder now that Jim had lost someone so nice.

Neptune turned to Marie and threw her arms around the girl in a giant, squeezy, thank-you-so-so-much hug.
