"You should probably start thinking of a bloody good reason why Saylen should not send you back." Chad kept his eyes on the kid as he climbed back over the rail with ease.

Alice watched as realization hit Mikey's face before he walked over to the guard, which had been lingering nearby, and asked him something that Alice didn't quite catch in a rather thick accent. Er...were they allowed to be talking to the muggles? Alice shot a nervous glance at Professor Saylen and Mr. Stryker. Why did she feel like this trip was suddenly taking a turn for the worst?

Jaina still had a hold of Ben's hand. "Professor Stryker? Sir? I'm really sorry," Jaina started to explain, "I was explaining how electronics work, and I really do apologize, but I made it sound more fascinating then it really is." She hoped that the professor would have mercy on her error. She had a bad habit of doing that. "It won't happen again, Professor Stryker, I promise. I'll save the explainations for when we're safely back at school." She turned and faced Ben. "Right, Ben?" she asked hoping he would pick up on the stress in her voice that she was trying to get him a second chance. She thought his curiousity was cute, but she had to reign it in or else they'd both be back at Hogwarts AND banned from any future field trips into the muggle world.

"Ummm, sir? would you please let me explain? See, she was here telling me that it wouldn't move from where it stands and that it's controlled by something called electricity, or something like that. And I saw you in there not being eaten, and i didn't know you couldn't go in there yourself. So i got as close to the rails that i could, and you saved me from that wingless dragon. I'm deeply, deeply sorry if I have caused any problems for you or the professors. I just saw it move and growl and wanted to prove that it would move. But with your safekeeping and Jaina's help, I didn't go through the rails. So, really, you are my savior. I will help you in any way that I can if you please, please do not get me in any trouble. I'm a pureblood, and have never been to muggle land, so it was really all my fault, sir. Just please don't get me or Jaina into any trouble. I'd hate for this to soil mine, or especially Jaina's school records." A tear trailed from Benjamin's left eye down to his chin where it apparently hit the floor beneath his feet. "Again, sir, I'm very very truely sorry."

He patted Lexi's arm reassuringly as he continued to look amused at the animatronic T-Rex and the reactions he fellow students had to it. Some were just completely beside themselves in fright. He had to snicker, if they were like this with a robot, how would they react if they actually saw a real dragon?

"Yeah they said they had brains the size of a peanut." he snickered at Lexi then Professor Saylen said something else "But Professor, if they had well developed sense of smell, shouldnt their noses be about the same size as their head? Or shouldnt they be like all noses and not much head?"

He then glanced back at Lexi as he felt the tugging on his sleeve. So they teach each other... stuff? "A Magic for Muggle trade? You're on" he murmured as he gave her a devilish grin. For the first time in his life he was actually looking forward to studying.

Then the another member of the faculty joined them. First the Groundskeeper then the Transfigurations Professor. "Hello Professor Magnus. You're not gonna make that robot dino real are you?" he smirked. Might as well throw in a transfiguration trick or two right?

His attention was drawn back to the mechanical beast when Kurumi started yelling and he saw the Groundskeeper in the T-rex pen. "Hey Mr Stryker, I dont think you're supposed to feed the animals" he snickered, giving a look at the other man that meant to say If this beast was real as some students think it is, then you're dinner.

But then again some kid thought it smart to go double dare it with Stryker. Aww funs over he huffed as he watched the Groundskeeper climb out of the pen, with them. He cast a wary eye on the boy. Geez its the same kid that hurled a spell against Salmandrius Malfoy during the opening feast. He looked back at Professor Saylen, the waiver, thats nothing compared to what she'll need with this kid.

Emmy stood gazing up at Rexy. This had to be her all-time favourite exhibit at the museum. She remembered coming in to see it regularly since she was about four... And there had been another animatronic dinosaur display, years ago; she vaguely recalled it - a diplodocus being attacked by a pack of Deinonychus.
She couldn't undrestand her classmates' reactions though - couldn't they see that although it was effectively a puppet, it was still a thing of wonder...?

"Beyond Cool!" Patroclus stammered like a zombie, his eyes wide, his mind ticking over with ways in which he could jump the pen without letting anyone see and then set the Dino free, and ride it across London to his house, where he would tie it up in the back yard to keep forever as a pet......yeah there was alot going on in his head!

As he began to slink his way through the crowd, not touching anyone, under the reasoning that if he made no disturbance no one would watch him, the boys eyes were drawn to something, something that was basically give him permission to Jump the fence.


As words such as grounds, grass, and safety scissors drifted past his deaf ears, the Lion Boy arrived at his destination, his eyes locked on the face of the Professor whom had obviously not had to sign a permission slip.

Clapping his hands together rubbing them back and forth, like a gymnastist, Patroclus prepared himself for the perfect fence jump.....

However the words someone in the crowd caught his ears......
Rounding on the Transfiguration Professor like a child possessed, Patroclus starred at the woman with pure determination in his face, as words past from his lips that were reaking in seriousness

"Yes. Do It!"

His boy was crazy......on Dinos!

Emily had been making the most of her opportunity at the muggle museum, taking notes and making anotated sketches of everything she saw, but when she looked up, she wondered what in the name of merlin was going on?!

Why was the Groundskeeper climbing over the rail?.... to the animated dinosaur???..... wouldn't he get into trouble by museum staff?
Emily starred for a while. It looked like fun, and she would have liked a closer look at it, but of course she would never dream of breaking any rules, whether it be the Professor's rules or the Museums rules.

Emily continued to look around, in awe at her surroundings. She was loving it.
Studying the map quickly, she wondered what they were going to look at next.

Cass was glad that the Groundskeeper had finally gotten out but worried about what still might happen now... some of the students look well... way TOO excited. Hearing someone say:

He just palmed his face and hoped against hope that nothing would go wrong here. He like this museum and wanted to come back some time during breaks with his family.

Muttering as quietly as he could he says to himself, "So much for not talking about somethings while here where they may be overheard... I do hope nothing goes wrong." Before returning to the outskirts of the class and the now 3 teachers.

A mechanic dinosaur? Now That was kinda creepy.But as Fee thought about it,it was better than a real one.How did you control a real dinosaur?!Where to get one anyway?!"That means it only does the stuff you want it to do?",she asked a little firghtend.

Oh good, she hadn't missed anything brilliant. And she was just in time to catch the rawrrrrrrring T-Rex as well. "Thank you for inviting me," Issy said, returning the smile she'd just been given. "Yes, this is a great exhibit. And judging from some of the kids expressions, somewhat unexpected for them." She had to stifle a giggle as Prefect Hudson started bouncing like Tigger.

Ahh, the first student to notice her. Wonder what they're thinking. "Hello Emily, hope you're enjoying yourself?" Isabelle was. Oh, and learning. Learning was good too.

Tap dance? The things these kids thought of. "Well, Mister White - with the wonders of electronics anything is possible," she winked. Mmhmm, no magical mentions here. She was being good like they were.

Chad Stryker. It had actually been a little while since Isabelle had strolled down to the grounds and seen him, so this was nice. Leaning around Maya, she grinned and gave him a small wave back. Completely not noticing the coffees. heh.

Cedric wasn't at all obvious, was he? Isabelle had to smile at his attempt to get Maya to look away while he spoke to her. How successful that would be remained to be seen. But either way, she shifted slightly to the side to give him room to stand next to her. "Prefect Leone," she replied, in equally hushed tones. What on earth was he going to say? Heh. "You presume correct. I'm not. Professor Saylen allowed me to come along after I admitted my love of museums. I'm merely here to look around, just like you."

Seriously, they thought she might do that? Or were they joking? Smirks weren't always a tell. "No, Salander. I'm not going to do that. I somehow think we'd get into a bit of trouble if that happened." Not to mention they'd be eaten within seconds. "But hello," Issy smiled in his direction.

Isabelle frowned as the bouncing Prefect Hudson came over to her and started staring. Had he eaten too much sugar before coming here? Because he was terribly excited. Leaning forward, so she was more or less nose to nose with the boy, Issy raised her eyebrows. "No. I'm not." Seriously. It would be cool, if she could. But Issy wasn't stupid. Pfftt. "Now please remember the forms that Professor Saylen made you sign....and what they said." In other words, shut up or you'll break our cover.

Not that Stryker wasn't doing a good enough job of that on his own. Mouth dropping open, Issy watched the Groundskeeper jump the barrier and head for the dinosaur. Quickly realising they might be being watched themselves, her eyes darted from one place to the next, hoping beyond hope that anyone that mattered didn't see him.

Eventually he got back out, and Isabelle sighed with relief. "It's a good job no security was around then Chad," she said, poking him in the arm and grinning.

Nod nod nod. A GREAT exhibit! She'd prance around like a little girl if there weren't so many students around. Weee.

She leaned close to the Professor, "Think he might mind if we leave him in there? He seems quite happy." Hehe. No ofcourse they wouldn't leave him. Maya needed him for her next chocolate coffee need.


Facepalm.

Maya reached into her bag and took out a chocolate bar. "Here, eat this." Maybe it would distract her...and stop her from SHOUTING.

"Here, Miss Soler," Uh, where did she go?

Why was she hiding behind a sign? "Chocolate. Eat. Calmly." Now. Before you freak out more.

Maya stared at the boy, and wondered what he was doing. No one ever greeted her that cheerfully, not that she didn't doubt it was fake. Which made her even more suspicious.

She didn't say anything, but rolled her eyes when he turned to talk to Issy, giving her a 'what the heck was that?' kind of look. But soon left them be to talk.

Gape.

Hold his coffee. Sure. She'll hold it while he goes to break every rule in that parchment she made the students sign.

But dang. That man was... Nod.

Her gaping turned into an amused smirk, which she tried to hide by drinking more coffee, only to notice that either her own coffee had gone weird...or she was actually drinking Chad's cofee. Oops. No wonder it hadn't tasted like chocolate.

"Yes, look at that students... He is still in one piece. So far." Hehehe.

Maya glanced at Kurumi, hoping to not hear what she thought she might hear. Heh. "Alarm?" Yes, alarm. "I'm sure Mister Stryker knows what he's doing." He did...he must. He did, yes. Probably.

How long did it take for the alarm to go off?

Allowed? "I don't think he is." the Mexicana replied, as if only just realising this but not looking too worried. "He knows what he's doing." Ahem.

Ummmmmmmm. "Well... they will probably arrest him. Keep him here for interrogation. Maybe call the police, and have him spend some time in a cell." But you know, "That might not happen though." Might.

Haha. Sit ontop of the dinosaur? Now that would be funny. Maya snorted and looked around, finding the idea quite hilarious, imagining him riding the creature like it was a camel or something.

Oh, student. "Uh, yes, it might." The ropes were indeed supposed to keep people outside. "I'm sure no one will notice." Hopefully.

It could eat us. Hadn't Maya already said that? "No, it wont. Here, eat this chocolate."

She gave Chad a look, and then at the boy who had tried to copy the Groundskeeper.

"Well, that is unfortunate." A peanut brain? That's way too small for something so big as this. Haha, gigantic nose dinosaur, "A good sense of smell doesn't necessarily mean a big nose. A good portion of smelling is in the brain." She tapped her head lightly with a finger. And that was all she was going to say about it because contrary to popular belief (what?), she didn't know that much about dinosaurs.

"Yes, exactly." Phew, good they got that sorted. "And althought the people controlling this creature could make it attack us, I'm sure they won't." Smiley.



Allright, these kids were getting fidgety, so time to move on. Although...
"Mister Stryker broke almost every rule in the waiver." She smirked at the man, handing him his coffee back. "As punishment, I think building an electronic T. Rex for you all to ride on would be fit, don't you think?" Hehe.


Time to move on, before anyone else hops to cuddle with the mechanical dinosaur...
"Okay, let's move along now. This way, please." She waved at them with a hand and started walking out of the Dinosaur Gallery. Around the corner and then straight ahead was the Mammal Gallery.



Lots of...stuffed dead animals ahead.
How... nice- this was horrible. Maya even felt a bit nauseous when she could see a sliver of all the creatures in that room. She turned around to walk backwards, facing the students.

"We are on our way to the Mammals Gallery." She jabbed a thumb towards their next destination. "Does anyone know what a Mammal is?" Hmmmm? "And can anyone tell me an animal that is a mammal? One answer each please."

Emily walked with the group to the next exhibit... mammals....
She raised her hand to answer. "Professor, Mammals are animals that have vertebrae... or backbones." she said.

Oooh! "Yess! Both!" Dude, the Groundskeeper will so be her next bestfriend if he did that.

"And and and maybe one of the kind that flyyyyy!" You know, for the kids too scared to ride a broomstick. Or just for fun... It'd be like flying a thestral, she bet.

Ellie was too excited now. She totally forgot her vow of silence towards Saylen. So, as they walked she for sure answered the question..s.

"Mammals are animals." Plain and simple. Let's elaborate, shall we, "They have hair and give birth without laying eggs...or MOST do." Muggles were weird, though, and made exceptions everywhere.

A mammal...there were sooo many... uhm...uhm... "Kneazles are mammals." Weren't they? Hmm.

"Well... Dinosaurs don't relly interest me much. But it is fasinating to see how the muggles created this." she nodded at the dino robot.

Some people were here to learn about animals. She was here to learn about muggles.

"Oh yes! That would be so fun!" Emily blurted out, smiling. She was such a child...

Finally! They were getting away from the dinosaurs and into...
She wanted to go back to the dino. She was surrounded by loads of stuffed animals. She wanted to be sick.
"This... I..." How could people do this?
A question! Something to take her mind off the dead, stuffed animals surrounding them.
"One characteristic of a mammal is that it can produce milk to feed it's young. Well, the females anyway..."
She took a deep breath and started at the floor. This. Was. Sick.

Jake only raised an eyebrow at everyone. Once upon a time he may have been one to go ahead and do all the crazy fun stuff that everyone was getting up to... but he was preoccupied with the thought that they were in LONDON... and he KNEW where this place was in regards to his home... despite London being rather huge.

Basically... he could go home. As he thought this, Jake looked back to the exit of the exhibit. He... could.

But before he could act, Saylen had addressed the kids and his chance for now was gone.

"Well... mammals' offspring grow in the womb, that's a characteristic... right? Humans are mammals... their regular womb-time is nine months, or 40 weeks. Elephant calves stay in the womb for nearly two ye-..." Jake broke off. Too much? Well... he KNEW it. Couldn't help it.

He looked away from the professors and focused on the exhibits. He'd BEEN here before... yes. He had also watched a lot of TV... hence knowing stuff.

Mammals? Now. That was a weird word. Man. Finlay really didn't get this subject at all. Hence why he was kind of attempting to pay attention, so that he could learn something right? Although it was kind of all going over his head. And it really didn't help that he had noticed Marie kind of just staring at him. No Marie. You are not going to distract us, we want to learn today. He smiled at her though, before attempting to turn his attention back to the lesson. Oh. What was a Mammal? He actually....had no idea what so ever. But that wasn't his fault. right? This was a lesson...he was here to learn right? But he could at least have a guess. That would be okay right? "Isn't a mammal like....the things that are in this room?" So like....He glanced around the room to just look at one of the creatures that was in here. Oh look. There was a big thing....with lots of hair around it's head. Now he wasn't stupid he knew what that was. "Lions...are mammals aren't they?"

Making sure her head was turned away from any of the adults, Sierra rolled her eyes at the groundskeeper. Honestly? He breaks literally every rule both the museum and the professor made, and then he tries to come down on Benjamin for nearly doing the same?!

Then again, the groundskeeper had given her five house points in the beginning of the school year, so she supposed he wasn't that bad after all. Maybe he'd give her five more house points if she paid him a second visit. Hmm...better not burn that bridge so soon.

"Oh, look--they've stuffed the Gryffindors," she announced, walking past Kurumi Hollingberry as she noticed the stuffed lions lining the gallery. Mammals, though? Hmm... Sierra leaned over and scanned the words on a nearby wall plaque. "Says here that mammals are warm-blooded higher vertebrates," she read aloud. Whatever that meant... "...an example would be a lion." Heh...a stuffed one.

Chad looked between the two students and then noticed how the group was moving to another exhibit. "Walk with me," he said, starting to walk and moving towards a polar bear display.

Sophie listened as Professor Saylen explained how the museum people must have gone about when they created the T.Rex model for the dinosaur gallery. The more the COMC professor explained Sophie got the impression of a giant dinosaur terminator if it were to come alive. Licking her lips the prefect said thoughtfully and with a worried glance around at the nearest students. "Like a dinoasur destructer if it were to come alive? I'm glad everyone agreed to not use magic on this excursion." It was good that she didn't hear he co prefect and friend Patroclus Hudson's comment to Professor Magnus. If she had then Sophie wouldn't have known what to say or do.

What groundskeeper Stryker did some minutes later to make the more scared students understand that the T.Rex wasn't real was very unorthodox. Sophie watched with fascination mixed with shock how the frenchman jumped into the T.Rex pit and held a little speech from inside it to make his point.

Couldn't he have achieved the same result in some other way? If the museum security had looked their way like one boy pointed out then their museum tour would probably have come to an end. Sophie didn't know if the boy was dared too by his friends or if he acted on his own accord but she watched as a first year tried to copy Professor Stryker's maneuver.

Luckily Professor Stryker stopped him and hauled him out of the pit with a sharp tone for the boy to explain himself. As a house prefect Sophie kept herself visible if the professor's needed her help. The boy wasn't in her house but that didn't mean she couldn't be of assistance.

Moving on!

Sophie gladly left the dinosaur gallery. Stepping into the mammal gallery she turned in every direction to look at all the stuffed up replicas of animals. To answer Professor Saylen's questions the prefect said "A mammal is an air breathing creature that belongs to the vertebrate animals. Vertebrate animals are distinguished by their hair, ear bones and glands. A ferret is an example of a mammal creature." Turning her attention to the nearest mammal display she heard how other students gave their definitions of a mammal.

Isabelle had to admit it was amusing to watch, but she was still worried about someone seeing them. So half an eye was on Chad, the other one and a half was on everything else. But her ears were on Maya. A very odd image, if you think about it. The question, however, made her chuckle. "I don't think he would, to be honest. In his element I'd say." Of course the last thing they wanted was for their groundskeeper to be arrested though. Hmm. Hehe.


And now they were moving on to the....not so nice part of the museum. It was all very well having the bones of dinosaurs on display, they no longer really looked like animals. These ones, however, did. And they gave Issy the creeps. A shudder went down her spine as she studied the signs attached to the Polar Bear and Arctic Fox. So beautiful. So....stuffed. Ewww.

As they walked, Isabelle continued to converse with some of the students - in this case young Emily. "Really? But dinosaurs are fascinating! So many different sorts," she grinned. At least she thought so. "Yes, that is interesting," she said, taking a backwards glance at the dino. "It's probably quite complicated."

"Yes, I am. Purely an observer today, same as you." Isabelle smiled, and picked up her pace to keep up with Maya and the rest.

Hmmm, of course they wouldn't. Knowing grin. Isabelle didn't say anything to the first comment. She just continued her amused grin as Chad spoke. "Actually I did. Although it would have been more impressive if you'd managed to get on top of it." VERY impressive, and really against the rules. Hehe

Selina took the chocolate offered to her and began to chew the peanut filled chocolate. It was deicious and was calming her down immensly. But she was unsure why the chocolate was circular shaped and the wrapper was orange. Usually chocolate was animal shaped.

Then after he exited Selina awaited the alarm. Nothing came.

When they moved into the next room Selina stopped in horror. Before her in the room was a dead lion. The poor thing was not even buried.
He was an animal who would forever be the source of ammusment for humans.

"Oh my god, why do they have this poor thing out in the open? It should be buried. This is awful."

The young girl nodded her head in absolute agreement with the professor. He needed to build them a ginormus T-rex for breaking the rules of the contract they'd signed. Hehe.

She lingered just a bit before following the rest of the class to the next exhibit, weaving her way through the students to the front of the group. Ah. Creatures she knew about without having to give it much thought. Because she'd lingered, she had missed responding to what a mammal was, but she could still give an example.

"Tigers are mammals." Tigers were awesome. She wondered if they had an animated one at the museum, or maybe a LIVE one. That would be scary awesome.

Belle raised her hand and said, "Professor isn't a whale a mammal?" she asked curiously.
