*Walking in Matty set his books down at a table near the middle. So far he was one of the first students here. He just shrugged and nodded a hello to the professor. Taking his seat he opened his book and started to read.* |
Helen came in to see only a few people here so she sat down on a middle table, and began to read one of the Ancient Runes Books that she got from Diagon Alley. |
Salander strolls into the classroom lazily, then stops. He hears the music first before anything else registers in his head. He knew this song. He knew the play it was from. Something that cant be avoided when your father is a classical musician and you're a bored kid sitting in an empty concert hall hearing it over and over and over... He turns his head and sets his eyes on the Professor. Still feels odd that it was a dude sitting there and not the delightfully blonde Professor Di. But if Evelyn and Marie's words were anything to go by, the Slytherin lad shouldnt be disappointed. If anything, he should buckle up and enjoy the ride. "Good morning Professor.... errrr" what was his name again? Something about London "-- Truebridge! Good Morning Professor Truebridge." he greeted the man and made his way on the far side of the classroom nearest the windows. |
Coraline rushed through the door and sat down, she was shy to come to her first lesson, she sat on an empty table an opened up her book and read, at least maybe no strangers will talk to her, she would rather talk to her friends due to the shyness she has. she smiled as she heard the music playing, she had heard it before, it made her feel like she was home. |
Rex is ready for Ancient Runes, |
Quote:
.......... It came to her, yup BANG right then BANG you know that thought BANG! Anywya enough about the BANG she smiled and waved as she walked over to the table that Coraline was sitting at and said, "If Luke and Lachy arrive we should invite them to the table, that way of its a group thing we can be all together" Katie smiled, she hoped she didn't scare Cora :erm: |
Patroclus hadn't been this excited since he got the latest Firebolt, for his birthday. But this was better than a broom, Truebridge was back. Hurrying down the hall and into the classroom, Patroclus couldn't help but falter on the spot when he saw the dark haired man, in the center of the room. "Professor Tru-" Patroclus squeaked, his voice exhibiting his excitement, "Sorry I mean Professor Truebridge, Sir" he said clearly after clearing his throat, "Great to see you again!" Finding a vacant table, the fifth year Lion got all his things out of the bag, and sat smiling and ready. This man was Patroclus' favourite for a reason, and the boy was sure he was not going to me disappointed. |
Ancient Runes had definitely been Mia's favourite subject last year and she hoped it would be again. It was just a shame that the lady professor who had taught it last term was now gone. Shrugging her shoulders as she stepped into the classroom, Mia waved at the new professor. "Hello Professor." She said brightly as she made her way over to where Salander was sitting and promptly sat down beside him. She was starting to get used the professor's coming and going at Hogwarts. Giving Sal, a small nod of her head, she took out some parchment and quill and waited for the class to begin. |
Lexi had a less than pleasant scowl/frown combo on her face as she tromped into Truebs' classroom. Her robes were in slight disarray and her hair was tousled and hanging haphazardly around her face. The only thing that changed her expression was when her eyes fell on the man of the hour... err the professor. "Good day, Professor. Good to see you back," Lexi said in a tone that was far more pleasant than that sourpuss she wore. Her eyes then drifted over the classroom. Really? Salander. Meh. Seeing him made her wibble a bit. Sighs. Making sure to sit WAYYYY away from him |
Raven walk silently in the room, what is it again ancient rune, he get a seat in a vacant table, he will be ready for magical education. |
Mia too Ancient Runes. A class Marie was not really looking forward to. Not because she didn't necessarily like the class, but because she didn't fully understand it. However, her little study session with Jimmy did help just a little and she did have her notes with her. Walking into the room she first heard music playing. Music that she in no way recognized. Eh she didn't care because she had spotted Professor Truebridge there. Yep, he was one of the reasons she made sure she came to class... he was after all her favorite professor... well now that Lawson was gone. And he would still be considered her Head of House if she ever needed anyone to talk to. Plus she really needed to be in class if she was planning on having a shot at all in passing her Runes OWL this year. "Hey there Professor Truebridge. Glad to have you back." she said smiling at him as she looked around deciding where to sit. She didn't see Jimmy anywhere in the room but she did see Salander and Mia. Huh? Mia was actually sitting next to Sal. What was up with that? The last she knew her friend was mad at the boy. Hmm, must have gotten over it by now. "Hey guys, what's up?" she said as she sat on the other side of Sal. She would have sat next to Mia but then Jimmy wouldn't have been able to sit next to her when he got to class. Now where was that boyfriend of hers? |
Music. Classical Music. Hearing the melody flow through the door, Ivory couldn't help the slight bounce of her head as she made her way into the Ancient Runes classroom. A slight twitch in her fingers registered slightly as the violin part surfaced, and part of her wished her violin was in her hand rather than in her dormitory. But no, now was classtime. Class with Truebridge to be precise. "Hey Professor Truebridge." It was good to have the man back. To her at least, Hogwarts seemed safer with him here. Smiling at the array of tables and comfortable clutter of the room, Ivory weaved her way between groups of tables to find an empty set of them near the middle. A shrug of her slim shoulder left her book bag as a place holder in her chosen chair. Her brow furrowed slightly as she tried to remember whether Arya had mentioned if she was taking Runes or not. Just to be safe, she placed her textbook in front of the chair right next to hers, saving her spot if that was allowed. Her gaze trailed around the room, landing on the phonograph and the singing chalkboard and then on the large bookcase. Unconsciously steering herself in that direction, she began looking around. Leafing carefully through old texts and trying to decipher the carving on the windows, Ivory decided she liked the feel of the room. It felt....safe. |
Ancient Runes wasn't her favorite class and it certainly wasn't her best, but the young Hufflepuff had heard that Truebridge was teaching this now, so she had to attend, right? Right. Ambling into the classroom, a bounce in her step and a smile on her face, she allowed her eyes to lazily scan the classroom, settling on the professor long enough for a pleasantries. "Hey, Professor Truebridge. It's awesome to have you back." Choosing a seat wasn't terribly difficult as she weaved through the desk and took a seat at a table that occupied her best friend. Tossing her bag off her shoulders and onto the table, being mindful of the book Ivory placed there, she gave the girl a quick hug. "Hey." The music was foreign to her ears, but it was rather catchy and she found herself drumming her fingers on the table along with the music as she let her curious eyes wonder around the classroom. |
First class. That's all Georgiana was thinking right now, feeling slightly nervous she walked into the room, where she saw a man. She has heard his name before "Good morning Professor-" Merlin his name! come on Georgiana you knew it! " Tru-Truebridge" she remembered and smiled. First year, first class, what it was going to be like?. She spotted a seat on an empty table and sat down, reading her book and trying to understand what "Ancient Runes" was about. |
Walking into the Ancient Runes classroom he looked around and spotted the stupid Slytherin that had caused the mess and Lexi. Faaaaaaaaaaantastic. Clenching his jaw he walked over to the farthest point away from both where he couldn't see either and sat down pulling out his book and supplies. He was half tempted to leave but he wasn't about to fail a class because Lexi didn't seem to know what she wanted. He found his eyes going int he direction he knew she was in and forced himself to stare at his book. |

An eager one. And in a good mood? Thats usually what smiles meant. Truebridge wasn't the best at reading facial expressions but smile=happy was a safe bet. "Good morning." Quote:

Simply because she didn't either. In any case, it was good to see the young Slytherin in class. Quote:
Ah. "Hello Patroclus." Ethan inclined his head respectfully towards the young Gryffindor. The boy had always been an excellent student, in the other subjects he'd taught and he doubted this one would be any different. "It is excellent to see you also." Quote:
Belatedly he waved back. Quote:
"Good day to you too, Lexi." Truebridge scrutinized the young Gryffindor. "It appears there is something wrong with your face." On occasion he'd seen Annie with that exact same expression, he was sure. Quote:
Quote:
"Hello Marie. Thank you." And where were Destiny and Evelyn? Quote:
Quote:
Ah so those two were still attached at the hip. Good to know. Quote:
"Just one True." Truebridge answered, completely deadpan. "Good morning." Quote:

Sebastian walked into the Ancient Runes classroom, his bag slung upon his right shoulder, being careful not to hit anyone with it by accident. He noticed that there was music playing and the blackboard was displaying the lyrics, which made him laugh a bit. He walked over to one of the empty tables and took a seat, putting his bag down beside the chair. Okay so he was nervous, especially for his first class here at Hogwarts, but it was going to be alright, he hoped. He grabbed his Ancient Runes textbook from his bag and placed it in front of him. Okay, so maybe he could get a head start on reading it? He opened it, placing his head on his head as he started to read. This class was going to be long. |
Text Cut: Prefect Pat, Lexi, Mia, Marie, Ivan On my own. Yeah that was the title. At least thats what he remembered. Salander shifted his eyes back at the classroom and caught sight of the Gryffindor Prefect. The episode at the kitchens suddenly came flooding back, not knowing if he should apologize for forgetting to clean up the mess (as he said he would) or hide from being forced to hug a man-eating animal. But before he could decide Lexi walks in next, and the Slytherin lad wanted to just melt into the floor and vanish. He struggled between looking at her and not looking at her, so much so that he started to look like he had a nervous twitch. Was she ok? Why should he care? Because he couldnt stand to leave a girl crying. And that brave Slytherin is exactly what you did. Of course that didnt help that he also spotted that Ravenclaw dork Ivan. Eh, they could sit together for all he cared But suddenly he felt someone plop down beside him and turned to see-- Mia! He nearly had an attack. Oh yeah this just keeps getting better and better. Must she have to sit right.next.to.him? The easier to hack your head off with my dear. He looked up just as he heard someone greet and sat on the other side of him. "Hey Marie!" he greeted her back maybe a little too heartily, but with a look on his face Help me! Yeah definitely not On his own now is he? Quote:

Draven walked into the classroom and saw that some students had already been filing in. He immediately saw the professor and went up to him to introduce himself. "Hello Professor, my name is Draven Kurgan, first year. Its a pleasure to meet you sir. I look forward to your class this year as Ancient Runes is one of my favorite subjects" he said smiling. He then went to sit down and noticed Coraline, a girl he had met briefly in Diagon Alley earlier in the summer so he went and sat down next to her. Quote:
He opened his book to start browsing over it as he waited for the professor to start class. |
A Bunz comparison... wow. She must have the angry face on RIGHT When Truebs replied she couldn't help but stop and smile. "It's not my face that has the problem, sir," she said quietly. Her feelings were simply manifesting themself on her face. Yeah. That was it. Wait... did she have food on her face? That was a possibility. Quickly scrubbing her hand across it she frowned. Ivan. They were both there. Why not add Sabel in the mix, too. Just for funsies. Couldn't they all change their class schedule to revolve around HER. More specifically to make sure they were not in there at the same time as her. Suppose not. Drat! She didn't miss the fact that Ivan was avoiding sitting near her and looking at her... Oh well. She hadn't expected them all to profess their undying devotion to her. Much. She would have to figure it all out on her own it looked like. Bully for her. She did, notice Salander twitching over there. What the heck? Had she damaged some vital part of his brain with that little episode? She was certain it was her fault. She was the only reason she could think of that Salander would be all... wonky. Ugh. She was allll by herseeeeeeeeellllffff... No one was angsty... never. Not LEXI DENVER. Denver's don't DO angst. She was pretty sure of that anyway. Maybe. |
Marie and Sal Mia's eyes roved around the room to see who was here and who was walking through the door. She belatedly noticed Pat a few seats away and she gave him a wave and a smile. It had been far too long since they had spoken to each other. She missed talking to him. And OMG!! Was that a Prefect badge on his robes??? Her attention was diverted to a flash of blond walking through the door and Mia sat up a little straighter, hoping that Marie was going to come and sit at the same table because Sal seemed to be a little awkward around her. "Hey Marie. Not much, just waiting for class to start. And to see if Sal here is going to acknowledge my presence or whether he is going to keep ignoring me." Mia turned to look at the boy beside her and she raised her eyebrow at him. |

Ancient Runes. His like best lesson, well it was where he had got one of his highest OWL scores, so he was assuming that it was one of his best subjects. So with a grin set on his face he walked into the classroom, although that grin turned more into a smile when he remembered who taught this lesson. Oh yes. He better behave. "Morning Professor Truebridge." The ravenclaw nodded, as he turned to look who was in the classroom. He noticed Lexi sitting on her own at the back, not really looking happy, and then there was Mia, Marie, and Sal sat at a table together. Hmm. That would do. Heading over to where their table was situated he took a seat. "Hey guys." And now for his...favorite lesson? woot. |

"So, how was your summer? Do anything fun?" he asked. |

Text Cut: Lexi, Mia, Finn He could hear Lexi's voice as she responded to the Professor. Her face? There's something wrong with her face? He resisted the urge to turn his head and look. Instead he kept his head turned squarely at Marie, and was about to make small talk when Mia started up. Acknowledge her presence? Is that a multiple choice question? Because he'd pick the one that says vanish into thin air. He turned his head sllooooowly towards the Hufflepuff brunette and mumbled "Hi Mia." still not quite looking at her, because he knew that if he looks into her eyes, he's gonna have a nervous breakdown. And suddenly they were four. He looked up startled at the Ravenclaw Prefect joining them. What was his name.. Fish?.... "Finn!" he blinked "Sup dude! Me I'm ok, HadaHardTimeGettingRidOfTheCauldroncakeThough"he rattled off quickly, then shifted his eyes towards the Hufflefpuff beside him. He saw her pie him smack in the face didnt he? He's Prefect. Wasnt he going to do something about that? |
Dianna quickly rushed through the corridor. Thinking she was late, she quickly rushed in the classroom and took a seat which creaked a bit due to the fact that, let her say it again, she thought she was late. "Oops." she muttered as she fixed her hair which looked like a complete disaster right now. "Good Morning Professor Truebridge." Dianna smiled. |
Finn and Sal If her eyebrow went up any higher it was going to shoot right off her forehead. Mia had no idea what Sal's problem was because they had not had their talk yet but really what was so hard in saying hello? "Hello Sal." She replied with a lot more entusiasm than he was showing her. But Mia's face brightened immediately when she heard Finn's voice and she turned to look at her friend. "Hey Finn!! I'm glad you came to sit with us." She loved messing around with her friend and since her other friend was giving her the cold shoulder she was going to need him here. When Sal spoke to Finn, Mia felt her jaw drop and her lip wibbled a little. So obviously he was still angry about that. "Sal..." she began slowly not really knowing what to say to him and figuring that class was not really the time to get into it. "I'm sorry. Okay?" |
Heather walked into the Ancient Runes class. She quite liked the idea of being here, after all she loved the puzzle. Though the past days full of drama seemed to be overwhelming she blew them away with a positive though. A strand of black hair fell in front of her luminescent green eyes and she quickly moved her hand to return it to it's spot behind her ear. She sat down at an empty desk as she studied the room, finding many familiar faces. She opened her book and began to read silently. |
Entering the classroom, the epitome of calmness and serenity, Jake glanced around. He could hear the music, but it wasn't familiar to him. After a quick glance at the boar, Jake looked around and found a table for himself, before sitting and opening the book he carried under his arm (the one Truebridge had loaned him, which he was nearly finished with), and setting his bag on the floor. "Morning, Professor," Jake said witha strained smile towards the man before absorbing himself in the book again. He had his own table... people could come to HIM. Right now... he was reading. And left his angst at the door. Because he was WELL BEHAVED. |
Lucy entered her first class of her fifth year, she was really looking forward to it but as usual she was nervous. She had no idea how's it going to be, she hoped for the best. She entered the room with a sweet smile, looking around to see the Professor, then suddenly noticed Professor standing right in front of her and said "Oh, hey Professor Tru…True.., oh I mean Professor Truebridge, it's great to meet you." she couldn’t say anything more. She quickly took a seat and waited for the Professor to start the class. |
Alice ran down the corridor at top speed, making a sudden stop about a foot from the entrance to the Ancient Runes classroom, she would need to try and calm her nerves before she went in. This was her first ever lesson At Hogwarts and the last thing she needed to happen was for her to have a panic attack. She slowly peeped round the door, music was playing and several students were already sat around the many tables. She took a few deep breaths to calm herself, took a hairband from her wrist and tied her long mess of wavy hair into a ponytail and with an anxious smile on her face, she entered the classroom. Looking around Alice didn’t recognise anyone here! The anxious butterflies in her stomach started to flutter but she forced herself to ignore them. Spotting a table that was still empty she sat down, hoping the lesson would start soon. |

"Oh this is my favourite one," Patroclus added, as 'I Dreamed a Dream', began to play. Quote:

Watching the door, Patroclus watched as students began to pile in, he could help but count the number of Lions that were coming in. It was the Prefect in him. Scanning the room, he noticed the boy from the Kitchen last night, the one that hadn't ran out of the room....well he did but he spoke as well at least. The lion had the slightest inkling that the Snakes eyes had just been on him, but that didn't matter right now as Patroclus spotted one of his favourite Badgers next to the Kitchen Boy. "Mia" Patroclus smiled as he waved back, making a mental note to talk to her later. As the song continued Patroclus found himself doodling on the corner of his parchment as the music swelled around him. |
Jacqueline walked in the classroom. The first class in her second year..... She rushed to the seat, somewhere in the front. She put her books on the table very quickly and said : ''Good morning, Professor!'' and smiled. Hmm new books always smell good. And all that positive energy that has been there really made her feel hyper and suprisingly excited. Ready for Ancient Runes!!!!!! |
Spike trudged into class, hands thrust into his pockets. He wasn't sure what might be more worrying - the fact he had to sit still at a desk and be lectured at for the foreseeable future, or the fact that afterwards he might not be able to answer the next riddle and get back into the Common Room. And both were pretty bad as he'd managed to leave Boggis, Bunce and Bean in their matchbox on his bed, and he hadn't fed them today yet. "'Lo Professor," he said, looking up to see the man, and the blackboard writing of its own accord. That was pretty cool - if only he could understand what was written on it. The music was a bit different too. Maybe it'd got an ickle bit less boring since he'd entered the room. Now to find a seat. He didn't recognise anyone...bother. ...Eeny, meeny, miny, moe... |
Helena entered slowly, looking around for a seat. "Good morning, professor Truebridge," she said, trying to smile. Quote:

Watching the little exchange going on between Sal and Mia she really didn't know that she should interfere so she turned back to Finn. "So, anything exciting going on in your life?" Yeah, she was totally making small talk with a boy she hardly knew. Oh well, no time like the present to get to know him... right. |
Selina looked around the classroom for a seat. She was so nervous, Ancient Runes being her first class of the year, that she would do something wrong. When she looked around she saw the teacher and nodded her head lowly to show her respect. After she did so she scuttled off to find her seat that she was being annoyingly indecisive about. Finally she saw a table that was unoccupied by anyone. She would sit there and save the seats for Elektra and Violet and anyone else she knew that wanted to sit down. At the seat she pulled out a roll of parchment and a phoenix feather quill and her ink well with self-correcting ink inside. She was not going to take any chances. She heard that this particular class and Potions were difficult so she wanted to be ready. |
Kay walked into the Ancient Runes class room and heard the music. It was nice and she nodded thinking she liked it. Looking around the room she saw alot of people she knew but wouldnt sit with. Like there was Marie. That wouldnt work. Smiling at the Professor she walked down to the tables. "Hello Professor Truebridge, How are you?" She asked with a smile. "The music is great. La Miserables, right?" She asked putting her stuff down and turning to Rex. Quote:

Freddie's day so far had been relatively uneventful which came as a welcome relief to the lad. He was slowly growing used to things at Hogwarts, and settling in better than he had ever imagined he would. Aside from the magic, and all the weird and wonderful (and, quite frankly, a little bit scary) things he was discovering, he was also having to adjust to being at a middle class boarding school. At his state school, he could come and go as he pleased and he could relate easily to the kids there. He was struggling here so far. And so it came to his first lesson ever at Hogwarts: Ancient Runes. He walked into the classroom, shoulders slouched, hands shoved deep in his pockets. His blue-grey eyes settling first on the blackboard and the symbols appearing magically, then on the old gramophone, and then finally on the professor. “Sir.” He nodded curtly in greeting. He took a seat right at the back of the room, not paying any heed to who was around him.. but he did notice a certain blonde Head Girl had yet to arrive. |
Prof Truebs. Jake. Quote:
"Good day, Professor!" Cedric beamed, his eyes twinkling, apparently delighted for the professor to be back. Hopefully Prof. Truebs still recognized him. It wasn't like Ced had grown too much since he left, no? And his dark brown curls would probably help, right? But then again, there could be other curly boys out there... Cedric eventually found himself deliberately contemplating the whole classroom, in earnest search of a table to occupy. He saw Arya, Lexi, Mia, Sal, and Ivy with some other people he didn't know. Ced would love to sit with them. He had actually already blundered forward, was about to head to Arya and company's table, and then he saw Jake... sitting alone? Well... that was unexpected. Perhaps Jake would like to be alone? But still... "Hey Jake." With that, the Hufflepuff prefect eased into the seat which was opposite his housemate and friend's. |

"Hi," she said to Katie and Cora. "Mind if I sit with you guys?" |
Lea noticed that Matty was in class and she went to go sit with him. "you mind if I join you?" she asked while taking her seat any way. Since she didn't know the Professor's yet she decided to say hello any ways. "Good Morning Professor" she said while pulling out her book like everyone else was doing. |
Jamie walked in and smiled as she heard the music playing. Les Misérables. She had a copy of this laying at home on her dresser. She found a seat somewhere in the middle and plopped down. This was her first class at Hogwarts and she was nervous. She stood up, leaving her stuff there at the table and went to look out the window in an attempt to calm herself. She noticed the markings on the window and wondered what they were. Runes probably, more than likely, just which Runes? She made her way back to her seat so that she wouldn't get in trouble for standing. |
Quote:
He'd narrowed down which the table to sit at somewhat, when he realised someone was talking to him. He turned from the table he'd just knocked out of his shortlist, and gave the girl a crooked smile. "Spike," he introduced. "I'm new here." He took her hand somewhat awkwardly, and gave it a quick shake before returning it to his pocket. "I'm a Ravenclaw," he added with a scrunch of his nose, in case it was more useful information to her than it was to him. "May I join you?" |
Kurumi entered the classroom and rushed to the front of th room where, thankfully, there was still an open seat. Despite the smile on her face, Kurumi couldn't help but feel a slight damper in her spirits. She was really missing Professor Di and wasn't sure how Ancient Runes was going to be without her spunky personality or her cookie recipes. "Hello, Professor," Kurumi said bowing slightly before taking her seat and opening up her textbook. Kurumi turned around to see Salander sitting near her and her cheeks flushed bright red. She hadn't spoken to him since that day in the kitchen when she had attacked Lexi with birds carrying globs of cookie dough. He was probably still angry about that...Best to stick her nose in her book and review what they had covered last term. |
Had they learned ancient runes lessons back at his old school before? Hyun didn't know or maybe they had but he never showed up for that class... But now his feet were dragging him towards the classroom, maybe it wasn't such a bad subject and besides, learning weird signs could be cool, Hyun walked in to the classroom but stopped immediatly when he heard.. Music? He wasn't loosing his mind that fast right?! Luckily, Hyun had found the source of the music and he grinned a bit before walking towards a empty seat in the middle of the class. "Hello, Professor...eeehh" wait! What's his name?! As a transfer student, Hyun didn't know any of his professors names, he even had trouble with the house names! "What song is this, Professor?" |
Runes wasn't a subject the Cass was particularly looking forward to since she had barely passed her finals on Runes last term. But she needed this subject. So she took a deep breath and entered the classroom "Good day professor." Cass said cheerfully as she entered the room and sat down on a chair |

Bennet Owlwraith, who was more commonly known as 'Benny-O' by his closest friends, filed through the classroom doors amongst the other punctual students. Taking a quick glance to see which seats had been taken, Bennet walked between a couple tables to take a seat at one toward the middle of the room. He nodded a greeting to the professor and tapped his toe very lightly in time with the music. He resisted the urge to hum, despite knowing the song all too well. How many times had his mom played this soundtrack while they cleaned the house on Sunday mornings? Too many to count. Bennet ran his hand through his strawberry blonde hair as he surveyed the other students in the classroom. A new year always brings a bunch of new faces, but for a fourth year Ravenclaw, he should really know more people than this. He kept to himself so much in previous years that he hardly knew anyone's name. Shameful, really. |
Brittany Pratically bounced through the door. Ancient Runes had been one of her favorite subjects last years so she was quiet sure she would do pretty well in this class. and not to mention she had been dying to get a closer look at this Professor guy she had heard so much about. "Hello Professor." she said with a smile before taking a seat. |
Tyler had managed to survive the commute... just. On his way up to the fifth floor the staircases had started to move by the time he had reached the third. This unexpected change had driven Tyler to cling to the banister for at least five minutes before he felt secure enough to mount the steps further and even then, he was fiddling with the jelly beans in his pocket, dying to count them in order to relax his nerves. Entering the Ancient Runes classroom, he noted that it looked old and insecure and he had to resist the urge not to move the desks so that they were all symmetrical and in line. It also didn't help when he noticed that he would be having to sit in groups... he had hoped that he could just take a desk to himself and leave it at that. Picking the quietest table, he took a seat and began tapping his fingers on the desk, counting each one he did. "One... two... three," just above a whisper. He could feel his nerves settle slightly as he took his mind off things in the classroom. He couldn't even bare to focus on the fact that the blackboard was writing itself, in fear he may just have to run out and never return. |
Truebridge, Arya, Lexi, Ivan *snugs* Well this was sure to be interesting. First class of the year and already so much had happened before hand. He couldn't help but wonder if he had missed most of his classes and was somehow in the middle of the semester. But surely that wasn't it; he was absent minded, but not that absent minded. With a small smile, Sabel made his way into the classroom, pausing just inside the door when he saw that Professor Truebridge was indeed teaching this class. With a bit of a wider grin than before, he gave the man a polite nod. "Morning Professor. It's great to see you back." Not particularly wanting to hold up traffic, he made his way into the classroom, glancing about at those already gathered. He recognized quite a few, including Arya, Lexi and Ivan. The last two appearing quite despondent. SPOILER!!: Lexi & Ivan He knew what he was going to do was going to have repercussions, but he couldn't help feeling a great deal of sympathy for Ivan. Lexi as well, granted she was one of his friends and he hated the look she had on her face. So, he did what felt right, but perhaps wasn't one-hundred percent logical. Giving a grin to Arya, he slipped past Lexi, affording her a warm hug and a rub on the back before moving over to Ivan who was all on his lonesome. As per the last time he met the boy, he pointed to the seat beside him. "Do you mind if I join you?" He wasn't picking sides, simply trying to be understanding hopefully without any whiplash; because there was nothing worse than being alone when you were in a rut. |

Rowan finally made it to the classroom and took a seat at the very back. Trying to catch her breath, she pulled out her book, some paper, a quill and quietly waited for class to begin. |
Merlin she was surprised she could even get up that morning and actually walk a straight line. Blinking (to try and get the sleep out of her eyes), and running a hand through her tangled hair, having actually forgotten to brush half of it in her haste to get out of the common room and to class before she was late, the Slytherin sighed and decided to dig in her school bag for a hair tie. She knew she had one in there somewhere. It was a RULE that she had to look presentable enough for Professor Truebridge's class! Anything under presentable was just...well it was just unacceptable. However, her nights sleep was just that; unacceptable. Stupid horn. Where did Destiny get that monstrous thing anyway!? Oh, goody, she was already at the classroom. "Good day, Professor Truebridge." she said quietly, loud enough for him to hear over the music playing though, patting her hair down in the process. Aw, here was her hair tie! Plotting herself down next to Marie, giving no thought that maybe she'd wanted Jimmy to sit in the seat next to her, the Slytherin quickly put her hair into a messy braid on the side before getting out her runes notebook and quill. Eh, not really in the mood to talk. |

Soooooo a new professor for the subject she never liked Moving on. "Hi Professor--" I-Don't-Know, she added in her head and went on to the first table she came across. Trying to move faster so maybe this class would be over soon? Huh? And no she was not going to drop the subject for she must know everything about everything. |
Hmmm, Ancient Runes. Nathan really didn't know if he was going to enjoy this particular lesson this year. Although he was open minded about learning, Ancient Runes was just like... huh? It was a good job that the classroom was calm and quite pleasant to be inside, actually. Upon entering the room, Nathan sat at a random table at the back, not even noticing who he was possibly sitting next to. He didn't really care about that sort of thing. He was here to learn, not socialise. Of course, that attitude only existed when he was inside a classroom. For now, and until the class actually began, he sat staring at the blackboard, as it wrote crazy words all by itself. Cool. |

Truebridge & Patroclus! :D Finally! Destiny didn't think Evelyn was ever going to wake up and get herself to class. That would be the last time she decides to wait and walk to class with her friend. Not that she was actually walking next to her or anything. Evelyn seemed to be in too much of a rush for that. Pffft, it was only Truebridge. It wasn't like he was going anywhere. Well..never mind. Making her way into the classroom, and snickering at the sight of Evelyn and her wild hair, Destiny scanned the rather full classroom for a place to sit. She would have sit in the empty seat next to Evelyn and all those people, but she spotted Patroclus and there was a rather shiny thing pinned to the front of his robes. "Hello Professor Truebridge!" she greeted with a salute before plopping herself down next to Patroclus. Yes, she was eying up that Prefect badge of his. Hopefully he got the hint that she wanted to WEAR it! Pleeeeease!? |

Not wanting to appear like his former socially withdrawn self, Bennet greeted the girl who introduced herself, "Hey Heather. How's it goin? I'm Bennet." |
Did class really have to be so early in the day? Ethan was not completely awake yet, having not quite gotten used to getting up so early after sleeping in all summer long. At least he did not appear to be late yet, internally thanking whatever higher power made the Ancient Runes classroom relatively near to his common room and not like in the Dungeons or something. Lazily he shuffled through the door and, after a quick glance around the room told him that his brother was not yet present, Ethan made his way towards a random table near the back. "Professor," he nodded a brief acknowledgment as he passed the man at the front and took his seat. Not really noticing who surrounded him - he was far too tired for that - Ethan leaned back in his chair, covering a yawn with his hand and waiting for class to begin. Hopefully it would start soon because his eyelids were getting awfully heavy... |

But, her persistence continued to prevail and she ended up grabbing his hand and taking him away from the table... hadn't he said he was happy with his seat. As soon as she sat him down, he got straight back up, "Thank you for showing me your table... it's lovely, now I must get back to mine. I enjoy it there." After he returned he began, yes you guessed it, counting, "One, two, three..." Quote:

foooor whomever Cassie strutted into the classroom nose in the air, in her well pressed hogwarts uniform. Yep she was ready for school and here she was at her first class, with professor Truebridge non the less. What a way to kick off the school term. " good day professor." she greeted before walking past him to join the students at a table. Well this should be quite interesting. She looked around the class room and spotted a few familiar faces, name hotboy who seemed to be waiting for someone. Hmm |

Katelynn walked through the door into the classroom, and was overwhelmed with amazement; she didn't quite know how to describe the room - but it was definitely different from the other class rooms she had seen in her life. She walked along the bookshelf looking at all the different books.. Then she realised that she was here for a lesson! Quote:
She spotted Helen, and walked towards her table. Well, they had spend an awful lot of time together.. Ah well, hopefully she didn't mind sitting with her? "Hi Helen!" she said as she sat down with a big grin on her face. |

The sudden appearance of another at his table startled the boy awake, however, and he quickly sat upright, combing his fingers through his hair trying to nonchalantly regain his composure. Noticing that the other person was female - and a rather attractive one at that, Ethan gave the girl a small, crooked smile and brief nod. "Hey, how's it going?" he added, as he resumed his casual lean back in his chair, followed by another yawn that he quickly covered with his hand. Oops, still tired. |
Roxana walked into the class room. "Good morning", she nearly whispered. A few students looked at her, but no one said a word. She never had any lesson ancient runes, so she was excited as hell. She didn't know how it was going to be and she sat down quietly. Rox wanted to give her best in this class. And that would just work, if she didn't talk much. After pulling out her things she stared at the board. So, let the class begin, she thought, smiling. |

Table or area with Salamander, Evelyn, Marie, etc. Sierra would have long ago considered just turning around and walking right back to the Common Room had it not been for the fact that she'd just seen Salamander, Marie, and Evelyn walk through the classroom door. There had been others enter that she'd seen around, too, but she hadn't been introduced to them just yet. ...but she had heard horror stories about Ancient Runes. All from her older sister, of course, which very well could be due to the fact that Anna was terrible at Ancient Runes. Or so she claimed to be, at least. She'd taught Sierra absolutely nothing about the subject, and so the first year was now pretty much about to walk into the classroom blindfolded. Maybe if she just sat in the back or near a lot of taller students, she'd go unnoticed and could just listen the entire time. That sounded like a good idea to her, so with some sort of hope, she opened the door to the classroom and stepped inside. A song about castles on a cloud streamed beautifully throughout the room, and for a minute, Sierra almost forgot about how uncertain she really was. "Hello, Professor," she said, greeting the man she was sure everyone but herself already knew. Although she'd heard he was new to his current position, it seemed almost everyone she'd talked to had been in a classroom with him at some point and time before. She bee-lined to a table where her Slytherin friends, as well as a few others she'd seen around, sat talking amongst themselves. She smiled at a few of them before pulling out a chair and joining them. They all looked tall enough for her to blend into. She wasn't going to read a book, though, as she saw a few others doing. Merlin, she'd be lucky to translate a title in Ancient Runes, much less a whole page! |

Her eyes followed him as he raked through his hair with his fingers. Rawr.[B]" hey, I'm good and awake. You however seem to be half asleep." She said referring to that yawn that he had tried to cover up." Cassie Storm. How are you?" she offered him her hand. |

Following her line of vision to the Counting Boy, Bennet shrugged. "I think so. I'm hoping so, anyway. Probably just nerves. A really bad case, by the looks of it." |

Salina sat down, the Veela looking around for a familiar face. Finding none, she whipped out her textbook and began to read. |

When he heard some kind of problem, the girl who dragged another boy to her table, he looked up for a moment and raised an eyebrow. That was... rude. Looking back at his textbook, Jake found it hard to focus again. It really wasn't as easy as he thought it'd be, reading with sunglasses on. |
Sebastian - JeshieRAWR Bonnie stopped for a second outside of the classroom and brushed down her black robes. She pulled back her hair into a messy knot and pushed open the door to the classroom. Her bag hung over her shoulder and she looked around at the different tables. First off, say hey to the new teacher. ..Well, old teacher who came back. She passed the desk and while doing so she flashed a smile at the professor and said, "Hey Professor, great to have you back!" And she quickly looked around at the tables again and saw an empty table except for one boy. A boy she reconised well from Diagon Alley. She grinned and headed over. "Hey Sebastian." Bonnie chirped as she dropped her bag underneath the table and plopped down in the seat next to him. She flicked back her messy knot of white blond hair and leaned down under the table to get her quill, ink, parchment and Ancient Runes book. She took out the stuff one at a time and wrote at the top of the parchment with her quill; Ancient Runes Lesson 1. Bonnie hummed along to the song playing on the gramaphone. She drew a little doodle on the side of her parchment and smiled warmly at Sebastian. "I've thought of a nickname for you. Sebsters. Whatcha think?" She grinned and pushed back a lock of hair behind her ear. "So, do liak Hoggy Warts so far?" Crazed!Girl asked, opening her Ancient Runes book. |

He simply sat in silence, staring at one spot on the wall, waiting for the class to eventually start. Although his inner zen was short-lived when a girl collided with the back of his chair, causing her to fall and for Tyler's chair to be twisted slightly, all in rapid succession. He began shaking, after being thrown off guard again. He simply stared at the girl, he didn't shout, he didn't scream, he did nothing. Just stared. The girl stuttered her apologies before heading to a nearby table to read. Ty continued to stare at her though. She seemed terrified, which interested him. It very much reminded him of what he looked like in Muggle primary schools when one of his bullies decided to introduce him to their fists. When she looked up once from her book, he merely raised his hand and pointed at an empty seat at their table. That was all. He didn't even speak to offer her the chair. She would either realise what he was insinuating or she would remain at her table by herself. Either way, he didn't much concern himself with it. |

I....LOVE..Les..Miserables O__O Runes with Truebridge?! See now THAT was awesome, and if it wasn't good enough, the minute the Head Girl strolled into the classroom she heard.. Was that.. Les Miserables? Her eyes lit up at the sound of 'Do you hear the people sing' being played over the top of the students chatting amongst themselves. That.. was.. COOL!! Typically, Trixie sang the tune quietly under her breath, not really wanting to make a complete and utter fool of herself before the lesson even began. After she had got over the fact her favourite musical was being played, the seventeen year old found herself a desk to sit in, not really taking note of whom was in the classroom already, she hadn't seen any of her close friends as of yet, then again, she wasn't exactly paying attention. *Squeeeeee* Yes the music had completely distracted her from whatever it was she was supposed to be doing, which.. well it was sitting and waiting for the lesson to begin. Now.. Err.. Someone join her.. Pretty, Please? With Cherries on top? |

It wasnt long before Draven noticed another person sit down beside him. To his delight it was his favorite lady, "Hey baby! How are you?" he said nudging her and giving her a quick hug. He was estatic that Tay was in the same class with him and he smiled at her. |

Well Evelyn was just in a grumpy mood. However, noticing it was Sierra, the Slytherin's expression became a little less glare-y and a little more...not glare-y. Sierra was an acceptable person. "Hi." Mmhmm, there may have even been a small smile with that greeting. Who knows though! It was gone faster than someone could blink. "You don't by any chance happen to know a good way to destroy metal do you?" Obviously, she said this quietly considering a certain Slytherin She-Snake who owned a certain metal object entered the classroom... yet surprisingly sat not with them, but with a certain Gryffindor. What in the world? |

First Lesson of the term. Yep. Orlando was surely back to Hogwarts. "Hello Professor." he greeted the teacher before making his way to an empty seat. |
Emily rushed into the classroom and hastily took a seat. She hoped that she was not late for her first lesson of the term. Emily pulled out her quill and ink, followed by some parchment. Setting it down on the desk she looked around the room at her peers. |

"We're on time!!!" she said excitedly as she followed Emily's lead and took out her quil and parchment. |
