Located just up the hill from the Magical Creatures Sanctuary is the Hogwart's stables. Professor Maya decided to keep things as your previous Professor left them and still have the young abraxans placed in the first few stalls, separate from the other winged-horses.
Come on in and let your creature get to know you. Make sure they're growing up nice and strong and report any problems to Professor Saylen. Please treat these wonderful creatures with respect or you will know the wrath of the Professor.
All SS Board Rules apply here.
Thankyou to Liisa for letting us keep this <3
"Hey..."He said poking his own stomach."I play football, and water polo."Adam argued.
"Nothing is wrong...Nothing at all. You just make me have a guilty conscious that's all."He said simply.Really, just because he spoke really fast, didn't mean he was hiding something from anyone.
Selina laughed, "I'm sure you do play all those sports. Relax your not chubby... That much.". It was too wonderful with this whole chubby thing. He wasn't by any means fat, but getting him defensive was hysterical.
Adam obvioulsy did not want to talk about whatever he was hiding. Kurumi and Selina had a conversation about how terrible of a liar Adam was. But she was not going to push it. "Okay, if you say so. But if you ever need to talk i'm here."
Pausing in his mucking of the stable, Patroclus stood up and looked into the face of the Professor. Her serious stare was slightly unnerving the boy. "I started to look after Pieros in my third year, it was a whole term assignment with Professor Lawson," the boy couldn't help but break his stare with the professor, to gaze at his wonderous friend, who at this point was thrashing his mane around, clearly very amused by his own hair.
With a smile across his face he returned his to the professor, where Patroclus continued "I have never ridden him, no. By the end of the assignment he was only just learning to fly, so I didn't want to do any damage by asking then, and last term he was being looked after so expertly under your care, that thougth I visited him often, I didn't ask then," Patroclus had also been so busy last year, that most of his visits had been very quick, and often late in the after noon. "But I was thinking now that he is fully grown, that he would be strong enough."
He was nearly twice as tall as the boy, so it wasn't a stretch to see him carrying the boy's weight
"However if you think it is a bad idea, I am fine with that," he added, before continued with the shovel.
Third year...and he was a fifth year now, si?
No offence, but Maya was not a trusting person, and she considered every student in this school unable to handle a great creature like an Abraxan on their own. And even if she was supervising...the thought of being responsible for a kiddo that fell of the Abraxan irked her.
She didn't miss Patroclus subtle compliment, making her smirk ever so little, but it soon faded when she responded. "I feel it wouldn't hurt to let you care for Pieros for another term. And then we could see how well he might take to being ridden." Yes?
Her eyes wandered to the floor. "You can take a breather now. Good job on the scooping." She flashed him a small smile, albeit a bit defeated, before tossing the rag she was holding towards the shelf. The unenthusiastic throw made the rag fall short and hit the ground. Sigh. Was it the cold she wasn't used to, or this term that made her feel a little more...something.
"Are you enjoying this term, Mister Hudson?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

Kurumi made her way down to the Abraxan stables with Walnut following close behind. She hadn't been down here in months, despite her fascination with the creatures, and figured that she should pay them a visit. Perhaps even name some of them this time around.
Reaching the fence, Kurumi leaned over it and looked for the Abraxan that had allowed her to pet it before the holidays. Seeing it, she waved. "See, isn't he magnificant!" Kurumi chirped looking down at Walnut who was too busy cleaning his tail to really care.

This was Saylen's territory. Tsk tsk. But he didn't care. Did you hear that Maya Saylen? He DIDN'T care.
The boy was on his way to the Nursery when he spotted a little Kurumi around the Stables. Well, his Aslan could wait, he hadn't seen Kurumi in a while now, and she seemed to be keeping some distance from the Abraxans too? It appeared she was trying to get the attention to one in particular.
He walked over to her, with a small smirk on his face, "You know, Miss Hollingberry, you don't have to stay on this side of the fence, you can enter the stables if you want," he said, with one nod.
The little cat next to her caught his attention next, simply because the animal didn't look like it cared too much about what Kurumi was talking about.

Kurumi nearly jumped out of her robes with surprise when she heard a voice behind her. Turning around, she saw Treyen standing there with one of those dashing smiles on his face and, as always, looking rather proud of himself. Walnut, who had now finished his hourly cleaning, went over and sniffed the boy’s shoe. Was that…peppermint? Walnut flopped himself down and looked up at the boy. Kurumi certainly knew strange people…including a boy that smelled like peppermint. I think I shall call him Peppermint Boy!
Stepping down from the fence, trying to compose herself so that her hair didn’t turn bright yellow, she turned and faced the Hufflepuff. “Really?! That’s allowed?” Kurumi said with so much excitement in her voice that it probably sounded like she was going to explode.

What was with the cat now? "Is he okay?" because it was a 'he', right? Not a 'she'? He didn't have any treats, if that's what the cat was asking for. And if he'd had any, then those were for Aslan, not for any other pet.
He stepped away from Kurumi as she came down the fence. Odd girls, Hogwarts had. And he laughed, loudly, at her excitement, "Yes, of course it is! How else do you think people take care of their appointed Abraxans? Well, those who take care of one, that is," he nodded, eying the one she'd been trying to get the attention from, "Is he yours?" he knew it didn't belong to her, truly, but what he meant to ask was that if she was caring for that particular winged horse.
Treyen didn't know if he was ready to take care of a big creature such as a horse, of any kind. That's why his pets remained small. Nifflers, Knarls, Owls. Nothing more. Not even a cat.

“Walnut?” Kurumi asked looking down at the cat who was continuing to sniff the boy’s shoe and occasionally his pant leg. “Yeah, he is just saying hello. Walnut can be a bit odd, but he means well.” And it wasn’t like the cat was going to attack Treyen. Professor Zookara had been a bit overdramatic when the cat had started knocking down picture frames in his office, but it wasn’t like Walnut had done it on purpose. There were just too many of them for his stubby legs to move around easily.
“How do you get appointed an Abraxan?” Kurumi asked returning her attention to the winged horses and leaning a bit on the fence. “That sounds fantastic! Do you have one?”
The larger of the Abraxan whinnied a bit and tossed his mane before gazing over at the two and snorting at the sight of the cat.
“I haven’t been assigned, but that one let me touch him before the holidays,” Kurumi explained pointing like some small child who had seen a shooting star for the first time.

Seriously? His name was 'Walnut'? Hehe. That was a cute name for a cat. He...tried not to name his pets as objects or food, though. Gilderoy, Thaddeus, Phineas, and now Aslan. Yes, those were people names. Except, Aslan may be pushing it a little.
Treyen was reminded of 'Angel'. Magnus' cat. Because that cat had also sort of liked him, at first sight, weird. And now Walnut? Eh, yeah, the only one who didn't react the same way was Perseus, Arya's kneazle, and that's probably why he was the exception, because he was smarter than the other cats. What with being a kneazle and all...
...but, eh, where were they?
"Oh, yeah, I don't mind, he's kinda cute," he said, eyes flickering between Kurumi and Walnut before finally settling on...neither, he was eying the Abraxan now.
"You could ask Professor Saylen, though, many of them were given by Professor Lawson a while back," back when Phineas was still in Hogwarts and not in Niffler's land. "I..don't...but I do take care of a Niffler," a she-Niffler.
His eyebrow was raised at the winged horse, "I don't think it likes Walnut," meanie horse. That was probably Saylen's doing.
Awwww, she looked beyond adorable! Seriously. That's why he was smiling. "Then he probably likes you, or she, I don't know what it is," he wasn't venturing to see if the horse liked him either, and he couldn't tell if it was a boy or a girl. "You should go and ask her," the Professor, of course.

"I think I will," Kurumi nodded turning her gaze to the creatures. "I think, my favorite thing about being a witch is times like these. Just being near magical beings makes my heart pound. I grew up reading about things like dragons and unicorns...thinking they were not real and only the things of fairy tales, yet, here they are. Alive and so close that I can touch them. Not that there are any dragons or unicorns present right now."
Walnut walked around so he could now sniff the back of Peppermint Boy's pants. Walnut really wanted to know how the boy managed to smell like that...wonder if he tasted like it as well? Kurumi had given the cat a sample of some of her peppermint cookies she had baked during the Christmas holidays and had rather enjoyed the taste. Putting his front paws on the boy's left leg, he licked his pants with his pink tongue. DEFINATELY NOT PEPPERMINT!
Walnut jumped back and began trying to eat some of the grass, hissing at he did. Peppermint Boy did not taste like peppermint. The liar!
"You have a Niffler?!" Kurumi squeaked ignoring Walnut's hissing. Although, she was a little concerned that he was eating grass...that probably wasn't good for him. "Have you found any treasure with them?!" Like, maybe Treyen took a summer excursion to a deserted island and went treasure hunting?

Treyen nodded, and then leaned against the fence as Kurumi continued to speak. Right. She hadn't known this world existed. He almost forgot that, and he was simply amazed by how well she'd fit it. Unlike Conan, who as soon as he stepped in Hogwarts wanted to leave already.
Clearly his reasons were beyond Treyen's mind.
"I have wondered what it would be like, you know, growing up that way," though, maybe Ellie could relate a bit, being a Pureblood herself. But Treyen had bits and pieces of the Muggle world as he grew up. Not as much as Kaika did, but close enough. He found Muggles far more interesting, even if he loved magic.
Perhaps he needed to have another talk to Conan, if the boy hadn't left yet.
And then...he almost laughed at the cat. The pants weren't too much to his taste? Well, that was a good thing. Certainly.
Not yet, Kurumi. Not yet. "I take care of one, yes, but she's not mine...yet," and he'd discussed it already with Saylen, "She's to stay at Hogwarts all the time," as in...Saylen will be taking care of the Niffler while he's away...oh, dear Gilderoy! He hadn't thought of that! Aslan could be in great danger. "Not with Aslan...but Phineas used to be pretty good at finding keys. I never knew what locks those keys unlocked, but still, he'd found something." Phineas had, not him. And Aslan was still very little to wander about.
