"We can work on the other areas together." Merlin knew that she needed to become braver too.

"Oh yeah- I guess you're right...I never really gave it thought...Yeah, yeah, whenever we are together we can work on the stuff that bothers us?..."Adam said, his fingers tingled with her touch and his heart beat faster. He let go quickly as he took another bite. "This is really good- did you ever cook with your mom, or brothers?Or did you learn on your own?"

Kurumi nodded in agreement. "Cooking is something I always did with my mother," she said offering the house elves a plate. "It was something that I enjoyed doing - unlike playing the piano - and it made my mother happy because I was doing something girlie."

Adam now began to think that how Kurumi was, such as in personality, had a lot to do with what her mother allowed her to and what NOT to do. If usually it wasn't girly Kurumi could not experiance that, or it had to be something that her mother liked but Kurumi hated. "Kurumi- I think your mother influences who you are and how you act...Have you ever done something tomboyish at your house and did she see you and punish you for wanting to try that? Did I make sense?"

"She watched me practice kendo, if that is what you mean," Kurumi frowned slightly. Her mother had been a large influence in her life, both in good and bad ways. She was the only daughter and a precious gem. Even though Kurumi's violet eyes were something that frightened her, Kurumi's mother was always there to support her and help her through all the bullying. "I am mad at her for a lot of things, but she is still my mom, you know?"

"Yeah I understand...No matter what they do to you, they will always be your parents and you can't stay mad at them forever..."Adam explained more to himself rather than Kurumi. For him, his parents had always seen Adam as the last thing to work on- everything else came before him, support- if any- came last and very minimal...

Kurumi smiled softly at Adam and took another scoop of her cobbler and put it in her mouth.

Adam watched Kurumi- she seemed to be almost done. So as she finished up- he got up and took his glass of milk and his plate and fork, went to the sink and began washing the stuff by hand, NO WAND.

Kurumi finished up her cobbler and joined Adam at the sink. It was kind of cute how he was doing things the traditional way, but hand. "You know, we could just use a simple spell to clean everything," she laughed picking up a sponge herself and scrubbing away at a dirty plate.

"I'm a lazy person by heart and being at Hogwarts will make me more lazy, so washing dishes are fine- besides that way, when I get a job- I can apply to be the dishwasher in a resturant ..."He laughed. He put the sponge under Kurumi's hand and waited for some bubbly soap to come out.

Kurumi laughed as her sponge became nice and bubble filled. "With me as your best friend, there is no way you can get that lazy," she laughed blowing a few of the floating bubbles in his general direction. "And you can do much better than a dishwasher."

Adam blushed a little. As small as that last comment sounded, it made him feel so elated, she actually believed that he could be something bigger."Really think so?"He asked, so off task that the water dripped onto the floor and he never noticed.

"Of course I do," she smiled turning off the water flow before they flooded the kitchen and had an even bigger mess to clean up by hand. "You can play the drums, your funny, and, if you actually applied yourself to studying, have the makes of a fantastic wizard. I think I read somewhere that people with strong emotions and a good heart are some of the people who are able to produce some of the strongest forms of magic."

Adam turned around, his cheeks burning red. He hoped Kurumi wouldn't take his back at her in the wrong way. "You really think so? No one has ever told me anything like that before- thanks Kurumi- you really are my best friend."He looked quickly and hugged her, then went back to the floor and mopped up the mess of water he had made. "Next time I see you at the study tables it's study time, ok?"He asked- he actually understood Magic when Kurumi was teaching it to him in a fun way :D

Sylvie glanced behind her just before she stepped into the kitchen. It still felt odd for her to be able to wander about the castle and not have to truly worry about having to watch if someone would catch her. It wasn't like she was a student out back curfew or something. Odd habits were just so hard to break.

Finally stepping fully into the kitchen, she took in the sight around her. Yes, it was just as she remembered it and if she was correct, it wouldn't take her long to find just what she needed. The house-elves always had cookies around and if they didn't, she would just have to bake what she needed.

Moving to the set of cabinets furthest from her, she began to open the cabinets in search of treats.

"Agreed," she laughed getting down on her hands and knees to help him mop up the floor.

As she helped with all the water, she saw that Professor Welton had entered the kitchen looking for something delicious to eat. Kurumi hopping up, grabbed one of the clean plates, and scooped some of the still warm apple cobbler onto it. "Good afternoon, professor," she smiled offering her the plate.

Sylvie smiled as she glanced over after realizing she wasn't alone in the kitchen. Pulling her hand from the cabinet, she took the plate. "Good day, Kurumi. Thank you," she replied. The warm cobbler did look very yummy. Maybe those cookies and brownies could wait for the moment. "This looks rather good, are you sure you don't mind sharing?" She didn't want to take away from another student if there were other students that wanted some.

Kurumi shook her head. "You are welcome to have as much as you would like," she smiled pointing to the remains of her and Adam's cooking. "I tend to give the house elves the rest, but everyone has shared at least a plate today." Her and Adam had probably peeled one too many apples...

But still, Josephina bit her lower lip in awe when he started chuckling and then seemed mildly disappointed when she had said she wasn't always like this. "No, I'm not. I'm actually more of the quiet and reserved type." Was that going to be an issue? Cause she might have found Mr Zookara mildly interesting otherwise. "Why? Are you? Always like this, I mean...?"

Oh good, someone able to easily reach the mugs. "Thanks. Now careful... it's hot." She warned him, like he was a two year old curious child, out to touch anything and everything. Carefully - as though she'd done this many times before, even if not and she'd only ever watched someone else - Fina poured the sizzling liquid into each of the two mugs.

"I'm serious!! I wouldn't scold kids - or anyone really - unless it was totally and one hundred percent deserved." She said with a certain finality in her tone. Oh, he didn't seem to really like that little combination. "Or ... I'll just call you Jeremy," she winked, knowing mentally she was totally gonna call him Jerzoo. Muggle Studies ... HM, that might actually have been the missing puzzle piece. "I think I might need some of your expertise actually." Carrying the mugs carefully toward the table, she gestured for him to follow as she took a seat.

Jeremy simply watched Josephina with a slightly amused grin playing around his lips, as she struggled to explain that she was really like this. Oh really now? Heh. And now she was asking him if HE was always like this? Putting on a mock-innocent expression, he fumbled about the plate a little. "Like what? Do I always put plates in front of my face? No, only when I'm attacked with a wooden spoon." He suppressed the urge to stick out his tongue at her. That would just be inappropriate, probably.

'Now careful... it's hot.' At this Jeremy couldn't help but give her a DUH!-look, but matched it with a small smile to show he was only teasing. Holding out the mugs for her to pour the something in, Jeremy tried to get a better look at what exactly it was she had been making. Something with pumpkin. Definitely. He let go of the mugs as soon as Josephina had them safely in her hands.

Turning around to put his shield!plate back onto the shelf he had got it from, the 32 year old couldn't help but grin at Josephina's tries to justify her actions. "Jeez, Fina, I'm only kidding." He said with a small laugh upon turning around again to face her, leaning against the shelf again. "Whatever...you can call me Jerzoo too, if you want to. I don't mind nicknames." Savannah called him Jer-Bear, so there.

He followed her over to the table and took a seat opposite of Josephina, reaching for one of the mugs. "My expertise?" What was she talking about? "How may I help you?" He asked curiously before blowing at the hot pumpkin-something in his mug to make it cool down a little.

Sylvie smiled and gave the young lion a nod. "Well, thank you. I'm not one for too much sweets, but I'm sure I'll enjoy this." she replied as she picked up a fork. It really had been some time since she had cobbler and it did look tempting. "It's rather nice of you to share with the house elves. From my experience, they like when you share. I used to bake and leave them some of my brownies too. But that was when I was a student," she added with a small laugh. Had it really been all that long ago?

Sitting at one of the tables she smiled at the houselve that asked her what she wanted.

Suddenly she heard someone say her name.

Fee noticed one houseleve looking at them and she waved. Cute little things.

"Sure, we should meet up sometime", she smiled widely,"i am gonna ask him for a time when i see him next."

She would ask him if he was okay with that, Fee knew Edmond was shy.

Ergh! Why did he have to be so . . . annoying?! Oh right, this was why she avoided any sort of emotional attachments. Books could give you all you needed, without the drama that boys seemed to bring. "No. I meant are you always this . . ." Josephina swallowed and pondered around for the right word. "childish." Though the answer was probably 'yes', since after all, he was of the male species.

Yup, childish was correct, which was confirmed after he seemingly mocked her for informing him it was hot. Not her fault she was just being nice so he wouldn't be needing a visit to the Hospital Wing after this late-night outing. Unless of course she tripped over the wooden chair and sliced her hand opened on the wood splints. But knowing her luck, he'd probably be able to help her with that.

She could call him whatever she wanted? Eying him carefully, she pressed her lips together thoughtfully. "Fine, so you don't mind if were to call you 'Sugeremy'? You know, for sugar and Jeremy put together?" Fina suggested, fighting the urge to stick her tongue out. "Or um ... Insanely-Overprotective-Boy? IOB for short...." Actually if she did that, she'd probably have a dry mouth from just his nickname.

Leaning forward just a bit, she scrutinized his reaction carefully. "Yes, your expertise." Removing a folded parchment with her notes from her lesson planning (from her night-robe pocket), she slid it across the table at him. "I need assistance with educating the students about that particular piece of equipment. And since it is your subject...." She trailed off, knowing he'd get the gist. Granted being a half-blood herself, she knew about it, but it'd probably be better off having the Muggle Studies Professor teach about it. Not to mention it'd give her an excuse to look at Mister Zookara
