"Yeah," was all Vashti could say before Ellie had gone up to her dorm. Vashti probably ought to go on to bed too - she could definitely use the sleep after this extremely eventful day. But she couldn't bring herself to move from her seat at the moment. She just didn't feel like moving.

Sigh.

Pam looked over to the girl, who she remembered to be in the commotion.

"Hey," she said quietly. "I know I have no right budding in like this, but, are you alright?" She let her legs fall off the end of the chair.

Vashti's mind wandered until she suddenly heard a voice that seemed to be directed at her. Looking to she who it was, she recognized the girl who'd been trying to help JD a few minutes ago. She nodded. "Yeah, I'm okay," she replied with a faint smile. "Just wondering how many points Ravenclaw's going to lose now." Because they were definitely going to lose points, that was certain. Her only hope was that it wouldn't be too many.

"Ah, yea. I hope we don't loose a lot." She looked at the girl confusingly. "But, you're friends with the two, yes? Shouldn't you be more worried that they're hurt? I mean isn't weather or not they're ok, more important than the house cup?" She stared at the girl for a few minutes before continueing.

"Please don't take that the wrong way, I didn't mean to be rude. It's just," She glanced at the door, hoping one of the two came in. "I guess I don't really have a place in caring. I shouldn't, I mean I'm a complete stranger to you guys..."

"I'm worried about whether they're hurt or not because I already know that they are," Vashti replied. "It was pretty obvious. You saw it yourself. I'm sure they'll be okay though if Miles takes them to the Healer. She's really good, I've heard." Vashti hadn't visited the hospital wing yet and hadn't properly met the nurse, but surely she'd be more than capable of healing JD's and Jacob's injuries. The Headmaster wouldn't hire her if she wasn't able to heal something like that.

"It's okay, don't worry," she reassured the girl, giving her a small smile. "I think it's nice that you wanted to help even though you didn't know any of them."

"Thanks." She said, smiling up to the girl. "My mom said that was my 'secret talent'." She said putting air quotes around 'secret talent'. "I'd always want to help everyone who was hurt, even the ones on TV." She let a small giggle exscape. Though, she wasn't in the mood for laughing.

"That's why the Tournament is bugging me so. It's just too many people able to get hurt, it's exploding my caring-ness." She sighed and brought her knees back up to her chest.

"I'm sure the healer can do something, but still, I can't help but worry, if that one kid I was helping could get there. He didn't seem to be able to walk very well." She started staring into the fire.

Jacob walked through the door into the ravenclaw common room, just staring at his shoes. He did want to see anyone mad at him. Out of the corner of his eye, Jacob saw Vashti. He didn't need to be psychic to know she and everyone else were going to kill him. It didn't matter that they got off the hook with a warning... It was crazy. First time in 4 years that Jacob did something wrong. It was stupid.

He stopped in the middle of the room letting people glare at him. He quickly looked at the door, probably hoping to see JD out of the hospital wing in mere seconds. Jacob rubbed his aching jaw. Hopefully no one would punch him again or all his teeth would fall out. It was weird... JD was a seeker yet he punched Jacob rather hard. Jacob was stupid to even have started it.

They were off the hook, but Jacob had a feeling Vindictus was gonna burst through the door any second and cart Jacob off to detention. He should probably go to bed before that happens, but he was rooted to the spot letting everyone glare at him... He was stupid, no longer one of them.

Pam looked at the opening door and saw one of the guys who had been in the fight. She ran out of her chair and hugged him. She quickly backed away though, realizing what she had done.

"Are you ok? Are you hurt anywere? Did you visit the hospital wing? Where's the other kid?" She took a deep breath. "Sorry." she said and walked back to the chair and sat down.

Vashti's smile grew slightly. "That's a good kind of talent though. It's something everyone ought to have." The world would certainly be a better place if they did. Sadly, though, not everyone had such a talent.

"Same here," she agreed. The Tournament was bothering her as well, for more than one reason. "I mean, not only are we not able to play Quidditch because of it, but I read that people have died during this Tournament before. What if... I mean, surely that sort of thing won't happen again but...y'know?" She knew the professors wouldn't let anything like that happen, but clearly the professors in the past hadn't intended for people to die during the Tournament, and yet it had happened. Anything could happen.

"Miles and Jacob are with him, and Miles will make sure he gets there. He's a prefect, he has to," Vashti replied. "And JD's a pretty tough kid." As most Quidditch players needed to be.

And then...Jacob was back? Already? That was quick! "What happened?" Vashti asked, jumping to her feet and running over to him, talking a mile a minute. "What'd he say? Where's JD? Are you okay? Is he in the hospital wing? Why aren't you in the hospital wing?" She needed answers, man!

"Yea, I know, I was lookign forward to quidditch, I kinda wanna be in it. Though, I on't think i would get in." She sighed. "Well I guess I'll have to wait till next year. But the tournament. I really hope no one dies. I might explode. Litterally, and I really dont' want to."

Argggghhhh... Something was trying to eat him!!! See they we're even sending their rabid pets on him. Realizing it was just someone hugging him. He backed away from her... Weird. "I'm fine, just a few bruises... No need for the hospital wing." he looked over a vashti. "yeah he's in the hospital wing" why wasn't he. "cause what I did was stupid, I should suffer through the pain" because Jacob knew right from wrong, and what did was wrong. "Miles let us off with a warning, and a hand shake" it was lucky really... He waited to see if there would be other question. Or if one of them punched him... Cause he deserved it.

"Yea that wasn't the best thing to do. But I'm sure you'll be forgiven." She smiled up at the boy. "Well, I don't know abuot you but i'm gonna go visit him. Make sure he's ok." She said walking towards the door.

"I think you could get on the team," Vashti replied encouragingly. "If you try hard enough at tryouts next year, you could make it. You never know." She nodded in agreement when the girl said she hoped no one died. It was what Vashti was most worried about for this Tournament. She didn't think she'd be able to stand it if someone died.

Vashti raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, what you did was wrong, not to mention stupid," she agreed. "But still, if you're hurt, you need to go to the hospital wing." She was relieved to hear that they'd only gotten a warning and JD was getting treated in the hospital wing. But now she needed to make sure Jacob actually was okay and didn't need to go there as well.

"Thanks. That means alot. And yes. I think you sould go to the hospital wing. Does something hurt?" Well DUH! She sighed and tried again. "I mean where'd you get hurt?" She said walking up to him. She looked him over. He seemed to be fine. At first glance. "Well I'm gonna go down to the hospital wing and see what's going on with the other boy." She said smiling sweetly to the two.

Just smile sweetly, for you never know who's hurt. She heard her mother say in her head. She nodded to the two of them and headed out

Brody walked into the common room and looked for someone to talk to. Preferably someone male, because he always seemed to be surrounded by girls. But he would talk to a girl too, he wouldn't mind. Anywho...he wentt over to a chair and plopped down into it to people watch. He considered going to talk to someone, but then he thought of the book in his bag. He took it our and began to read. Brody didn't read often, books had to be reeeeeeally good for him to read. But he loved the book her was reading. It was called 'Blood Promise.' As good as his book was, he still wanted to talk to someone.

Skye looked up across the room at a commotion. From what she could see, there was another fight going on. She considered getting involved, trying to break it up (as the words of Professor Kingsley echoed in her mind) but before she could actually do anything, it was all over. She sat back in her chair, unnerved. Were fights this common here? Was everyone like this? Just Ravenclaws? Her old school had been much calmer than this. She frowned and stared into the fire, thinking, not for the first time, that maybe it had been a mistake for her parents to get up and move to London.

Jen skipped into the common room and looked around to see if anyone she knew was there. She spotted Vashti talking to two other kids, including a very cute boy. She walked over to them. "Hey guys!" she trilled happily.

Liz and Pam walked into the dorm. "Let's just go upstairs, if you don't mind." She said yawning. She really needed to sleep

Dang, Pam was REALLY tired. Liz helped walk her up the stairs.

After maybe a couple of hours of hesitating if going down or not, Annie finally stepped into the common room taking long and deep breaths of disrelief. If there was someone to talk to, she'd be much fine. She knew it. But well, there were really so many people this year, not really ignoring the fact that a lot of foreigners were in their visit for the tournament.

She wondered...when would the first task begin? She was so anxious about it.

Elora entered the common room from her dormitory. The warm, cozy feeling engulfed her all over again and fell in love. Kind of like what she was doing with a person. Hopefully he was around. She found an empty couch and snuggled into it, and thought, "What exactly is this year going to bring?" she hoped someone would have the answer...

Being a professor was not even a career she had considered. Especially at schools for underage wizards. Teaching at wizarding universities seemed to tame of a job, not as exciting as being in a lab creating something that could possibly help the wizarding world. She could see him in the teaching field. He seemed to enjoy the children around the castle or at least seemed at ease around them. "I believe you vould make a good professor. Do you knov vhat you vant to teach?"

So he was a total outdoors man. Explain his physique, though she had assumed it to be from quidditch. She had caught most of his unfinished sentence and nodded her head. "I do enjoy swimming. I find it...relaxing." It was one of the few things she was able to do often at Durmstrang with the cold weather. Smiling, she nodded her head again. "You company vill be more than enough to join for a valk or a fly." It really didn't matter to her. Where they even allowed to fly around the castle? She would have to find out.

"Ve could even valk to the village outside of the castle. One of the students told me they're alloved to visit it on veekends." She didn't want all of there time to be studying or chatting in the common room, not that she minded.

That was one of the reasons she didn't want to teach, children were always fighting. And over trivial things like......like whatever they were fighting over now and had been fighting over at the feast. Sandra eyed the girl when she said they were close, hard to believe by the behavior she had just heard. "Do you mean the school as a whole or each individual house?" She didn't have the slightest idea, they didn't have houses at Drumstrang.

"I have been enjoying my time here at Hogwarts. Your school is very welcoming." So was the other school. Even if she had only meet one of their students. Heh. "Vhat can you tell me about the potions professor?" If she was going to attend at least one class it would be their potions class. Hopefully she was a good professor.

Not everyone liked to sleep with their window open, but Kellen was of the opinion that their ancestors had lived in fresh air for centuries and it made the castle seem less stuffy with a wide-open window. Besides, they were too high for raccoons to come in and eat the copious amounts of candy most boys had stashed under their beds and in their trunks. He entered the common room with a stretch and a smile, and glanced around for familiar faces.

There's one.

He sat on the back of the couch and grinned at her, "A decisive victory for Hogwarts in the Triwizard Tournament. Maybe the Champion will even be in our house."

Elora snapped her head towards Kellen. " You think so?" she flashed him a smile. "Part of me wishes I could be the house champion. But then I know I'm not smart enough to be." Elora motioned to the empty spot next to her on the couch, hoping he would take it. " Enjoying the night?"

"Pfff, smarts is only part of it." Kellen was already sitting on the couch, kind of, so rather than get up he just slid backwards and let his shoulders thump down on the seat of the couch, his legs hooked over the back, "And yes you are. Really, I think the champion has to have that daredevil-y, thrill-seeking craziness vibe in them. Or just be really dumb."

Was he enjoying the night? Kellen thought about it, then grinned up at her, "I've had worse evenings. You?"
