Mia had run through the common room and headed straight for the dormitories and burst through the door. She stood there taking in the room with the nice comfy beds and she let out a squeal of excitement.

Not a cot covered with duck feathers to make it soft. And no manky blankets either.

It took Mia about thirty seconds to take it all in before she took a running dive at one of the beds near the window and landed on her tummy while giggling. She then stood up and began to jump on the bed.

Up!

Down!

Up!

Down!

Going higher and higher with each bounce until...

BAM!

She had gone too high and hit her head on the canopy overhead.

Ooops.

Mia flopped back onto the bed and giggled again. She LOVED this bed!

Sammy ran into the dormitories and into her own year's. "YES NO CLAIMED BEDS!" she squealed running over to the comfy-est looking one and BELLY FLOP! She rolled over and

"CLAIMED!" she squealed getting up and starting to jump on her awesome bed. DANCE TIME! like this. Sammy was in a dancing mood. She heard a bang from another floor and cringed for whoever had just made that noise. But then continuing her dance

weeeeh. "THEY'RE TAKING THE HOBBITS TO ISENGURD! GURD GURD GURD! THE HOBBITS THE HOBBITS THE HOBBITS! TO ISENGURD TO ISENGURD!" She sang jumping up and down, she had watched the Lord of the Rings for the first time during the holidays... it wasn't her fault she loved Legolas, he was just an awesome elf. But she didn't like evil dude that beat up Gandalf, no "THEY'RE TAKING THE HOBBITS TO ISENGURD!"

"Ah! What a comfortable bed.", Eva said as she lay down on an unoccupied bed. She slowly examined the room and was also trying to find two of her friends. She was so tired that she wanted to just fall asleep. But she still had lots to do. After all, it was still her first day at Hogwarts.

CREAAAAAAAAKKKKK.

Melissa was SCARED. About this whole dying thing.

She didn't want anyone to die and the fact that she DID listen to Tate's speech almost wished she hadn't. It was a good thing the fact that she wasn't going to be able to put her name in, though the Triwizardy thing sounded cool she couldn't help but thing of the consequences. And it was scaring the young girl. Melissa wasn't usually like this though, she couldn't just help but worry about this. Still she did want Hogwarts to win that cup much rather than Beauxbatons or Durmstrang. School pride she HAD.

Another thing.

QUIDDITCH.

No Quidditch. She hadn't played since the championship game last year and Melissa HOPED that she could tryout and do the same thing as last year. She couldn't now. Not until a year from now. It was UGH really. The young midget liked Quidditch, no LOVED it. Plus she nearly thought that there was none because of the disappearance of Miranda. Wherever she went...that worried her too.

This was just LAMMEEEE.

It sucked. So here Melissa was, walking up to the Seventh Year dorms with a LOUD creak. Looking for Lori. Maybe she could help? Sad face. Though, being up here. It was scary itself. She was only small and coming up here it HAD to be massive. It was the Seventh Year dorms. The BIG and final year. It had to be bigger than the Firsties dorms and the Second Year dorms. Well, Melissa hadn't even been in the Second Year dorms yet. She just needed to come up here first. For reassurance. If Lori could help her that was. She had a very worring and scared look on her face from the moment Tate began his speech. Also she had no idea if she was allowed up here. But she just NEEDED to go in...and she would when she got that look of her face and took like 314879 breathes.

Breathe INNNNN.

Relax Melissaaaaa!!

Perched on the end of her bed, with her eyes set firmly on the bed to the right of her, Lorelai Bristol sat silent. That was Miranda's bed, or so she had claimed it now. Her other best friend may not have been here, but she still deserved a bed, it wasn't like she had just ditched them, more ... moved up in the world. And still most definately deserved a bed in the Seventh Year dormitory.

CRRRREEEEAAAAKKK!

... O_O, what the ruddy hell was that?!

Snatching her gaze from the bed, and placing it firmly on the door, Lori chewed at her lip, and fumbled for her beaters bat. She had packed that, because she liked it, and was EXPECTING QUIDDITCH! Holding the pink bat firmly in her hand, she chewed even more at her lip. Sure, people were always leaving their dorms, but creaks were scary.

"H...Helllooooo? IS... Who's there? I-I... I have a bat, and I most certainly am not afraid to uuuuuse ittt...." Her threat ended up sounded like a whine, and she got her arm ready to swing. She may have been prefect, but she was bloody scared.

That was Lori right? Or was it someone else? Melissa obviously couldn't see unless one; she could be able to see through the door and two; she opened the door. She couldn't see through the door, though it may of helped right now because it might of been someone else and Lori might of not even BEEN in there yet. Unless it was someone who wasn't supposed to be in there and...she got kidnapped. EEPP!!!

Nnno...no.

Lori WASN'T kidnapped and she was safe somewhere. Yes that was trueee. BELIEVE IT MELISSA. The young girl narrowed her eyebrows, still with the most worried expression stuck on her face. She was MORE worried at the fact that she had no idea WHO was in that dorm and making a lot of racket. A voice. It sounded...Lorish? WAS it her though and not like some imposter? "Errrm, it's Melissa...Melissa Bellatorrrr and if your thinking offf thhrrrrowing that bat at the dddooor can you actually oopen it first before yyyou swing it at mmme or whatever youurr going to dooo?" She replied in a VERY shaky voice because honestly. SHE. WAS. TERRIFIED. Terrified at the fact that some Lori imposter or someone who sounded LIKE Lori had a bat and they were going to do something with it.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ....Hhhelp? Oh boy. What a great start to the year ey?

EEP! She'd barely barely been on the job for a day or whatever, and she was already contemplating going home because the castle seemed ... different.

Listening out, as she slowly got up from the bed and approached the door, Lori tightened her grip on the bat, occasionally passing it between hands to wipe the sweat from her right.

HUH? Melissa Bellator? Wasn't that the little kid from Quidditch, the one that Trixie like ... attacked? It was. Lori remember the name! And it wasn't from anywhere else, she was certain of that.

Opening the door a fraction, Lori peeped through the hole and breathed a sigh of relief. "I thought you were like a monster or something .... Come on in, if that's what you wandered down here for." Finally opening the door fully, Lori headed back to her bed, and perched herself back on it, gaze on the smaller much younger kid.

Sapphinelle shuffled in the girls dormitory with her Hello Kitty pajamas and waved to all the girls around her.

"Hello, girls! I'm Sapphinelle, I'm a first year." she said sweetly, waving around at everyone. She found a beautifullll bed with her leopard print suitcase set neatly next to it, along with her Juicy Couture bag. She placed it under the bed and sat down.

"Hogwarts seems amazing. It's only the first day, what's it like around here?" she said happily, trying not to be too annoying because as many people had told her, she was more mature then most firsties.

Amy bounced into her dorm SAMMMMAYYYYY! she called, hyperly flinging herself across the room, OOW merlin! she cursed as she missed the bed and landed on her head, she sat up, rubbing her sore bonce, ouch she wined, clawing up to her bed, she pulled herself up and lay down on the bed, massaging her head. She leaned over her bed and pulled open her kitty's cage, letting Ramona roam around the room, sniffing her new domain (the cat, not Amy) and she sat up, new term, she grinned as she looked at Sammy's cool dance, she shrunk away from the mad Sammy and pulled out her ipod, putting on her headphones and switching to Teenage Dream, by Katy Perry, singing out to it YOU MAKE ME FEEL LIKE I'M LIVING A TEENAGE DREAM she screamed over Sammy's mad shouting THE WAY YOU TURN ME ON, I CAN'T SLEEP LETS RUN AWAY LETS RUNAWAY she started head banging on her bed, and she stood up begining to jump up and down AND DON'T EVER LOOK BACK DON'T EVER LOOK BACK, sorry firsties she grinned as she kept jumping, new term, new mischeif, and this was going to be a good one. she would make sure of it O,O

"Oookkay person wwwho sounds like Loooori...wwwherever you areeee." Melissa was scared of this Lorish sounding person plus the sound of a bat didn't seem nice and it was SCARY. Plus she had no clue how big it was. It could of been one of those hard baseball bats or something like that. Which probably hurt. A LOT. She honestly didn't like the idea of getting hit by some sort of bat.

Oh. THANK GODDESS. It WAS Lori. "Oh erm Lori," nervous laugh. Heh. Now it was HER turn to breathe out a sigh of relief. "We have monsters in Hogwarts?" ACK. They weren't near both of them right? Well why would she be here? That didn't make sense but the younger girl advanced into the dorm before Lori shut the door and well...just stood there and gazed around. Seemed the same, though it looked bigger to Melissa strangely and it made her feel out of place.

Though no one else was here yet so it was good, Melissa would rather NOT be eyed by many older girls. "How come anyone else isn't here yet?" She inquired whistle still looking around then moving her eyes to Lori. That's when she noticed something. A shiny badge stuck on Lori. It looked like a badge Torin and Sarah wore last term. The prefect badge. "And your a prefect? I honestly didn't know but I'm sure you'll be a great one this year." Melissa had NO clue. In fact she had no clue about anything, she just knew who was the new staff, who left and the fact that they were having a Triwizard tournament and there was no Quidd- Nope, no thinking about that.

"Oh, and the reason WHY I'm here. I'm...scared Lori." She was scared about this year for a lot of reasons.

"AAAAAMMMMMYYYYY" Sammy shouted still dancing and jumping up and down. "oh, you okay?" she asked as Amy cursed "KITTY!" she squeled running over to Amy's puddy cat and patting it, then Amy started shouting Teenage Dreams ... too late, she abandoned her old chant and joined in "MY HEART STOPS, WHEN YOU LOOK AT ME!" she yelled running over to her own bed, removing Moggy from it and jumping on it "JUST ONE TOUCH, NOW BABY I BELIEVE" she continued starting her dance again "THIS IS REAL, SO TAKE A CHANCE, AND DON'T EVER LOOK BACK, DON'T EVER LOOK BACK!" yeah, they were loud. Well they were no longer firsties they were allowed to be as loud as they want.

Lori grinned as Melissa questioned about monsters. "Noooo, I was kidding, Melissa. There's no monsters in Hogwarts. Unless you count some evil people. They can be monsters." And Lori was pretty sure she would find some monsters this term, you never knew who was going to turn out nasty, there were so many nasty eople about.

Watching the second year join her in the dorm, Lori shrugged. "Probably still at the feast, or something. I think Sarah's showing the Beauxbatons student to the dorm, actually. I'm not too sure anymore. I tend not to ask much." Not when the people she wanted most in here, just weren't even in school now.

"Thanks, Melissa. Really. I'm just hoping I can be a good one... I don't want to be a rubbish one, if you get me? I don't wanna let people down." That was her worst fear.

"Scared?" She repeated after Melissa, and quickly patted the bit of bed next to her. "Come and sit down honey, what're you scared about, sweetheart?" Oh Merlin.

Amy grinned and carried on jumping, using her wand to make the music blare out, she looked at her kitty who was hiding under the cover, oh sowwy kittyyyy she said picking up the cat and swinging her around in his arms, wheres moggy? she asked over the music, turning down just an ickle bit

Sammy stopped jumping... she would have to start her chant again. "right here" she said diving under her bed, and then sliding out the other side holding the little brown kitty in front of her. that was cool, you can't deny that was cool. Then hopping back onto her bed, sitting cross legged and placing the kitty in her lap. "they're taking the Hobbits to Isengurd, to Isengurd." she mumbled patting kitty. Then the cat song came back into her head "It's a cat. It's a kitty cat. With a meow meow meow meow meow meow" she said in a normal level of voice.

Amy giggled and looked at the clock, 10.30 she noted, as she jogged over to her trunk, she pulled out her jammies and ran behind the screen in the room, changing into her pyjs she came back out from behind the screen, we should go to bed soon she said, turning down her music even more, it was the first night after all, she sat on her bed and pulled on her dressing gown, and took her Adrian Mole book out of her trunk and began to read it, laughing every two minutes at different comments, she would write her letter to her family and her agent tomorow

"good idea" Sammy said, even though she wasn't tired at all. She leaped off the bed and starting digging around in her suitcase, to find her pjammies. She grabbed them and ran towards the screen, changed, ram back out and fell over "ouch" she mumbled getting back up and walking over to her bed. Digging in her bag for her book, A Series of Unfortunate Events: #12. She climbed into bed and started to read. She could read for hours at a time, but maybe not tonight, Moggy crawled back up to her and snuggled next to her. She would organise her stuff tomorrow

Cool pyjammas Amy commented, looking up from her book to the brightly printed owl pyjamas, she looked to her clock 10.50, she turned to see Sammy, what time you going to sleep? she asked, no one else had come into the dorm but as long as they were quiet she would live with it, she turned off her ipod so the room was in silence, she sighed, and lay down, waiting for a responce, that way she could judge if she should put her eyemask on now or later

"soon, I'm up to a good bit" Sammy said barely taking her eyes off the page. "you can go to sleep if you want" she said pulling out her wand "Lumos" she muttered before going under the covers, so the light was dimmed and if Amy turned off the light, the light from her wand wouldn't bother anyone.

Ok Amy turned off her lamp and put her eye mask on, closing her eyes and putting her head on the pillow, she was back again, at last

Sapphie watched the scene and laughed out loud.
"You guys are gonna make it even more fun here, aren't you?" she said with a laugh.
"I'm Sapphinelle." she said happily, smiling warmly at the girl.

Sammy popped head out from under the covers. "I'm Sammy and that's Amy" she said pointing at the lump of bed covers. "not to be rude or anything, but are you a second year?" she asked ... because this was the second year dormitories. She had never seen this girl before, she was either in the wrong dorm or a new student

Huh, stop talking so lou-uh? Amy sat up she pulled her eye mask off, great to meet you but arnt you a firstie, not that I have any problems but your dorm is the one before, she grinned goofily, she had got lost first, but 'sides from that I'm Amy, a tired second year now no offence or anything I'm sure you are cooler than a banana riding a lama but I'm knackered so I'm going sleep she finished off, night! she called pulling the eye mask over her eyes and flopping into the pillow

She nodded at the girls and remembered why she was here.
"Oh I know, I just wanted to meet everyone, I guess. I'm a first year, but oddly enough, I found my luggage in here. Mishaps occur sometimes, right? Well, nice meeting you, Sammy and Amy!" she said with a smile and left the room and walked into the first year dorms.

Sammy nodded "banana riding llamas are pretty awesome" she agreed. "g'night Amy" she said, finding her page in her book then going under the covers to read. "seeya" she called to the firstie from under the covers. Then moving around under the covers so her head was at the foot of the bed and her feet were resting on the pillow and lying on her belly
