Sophia saw Kurmuri and said "hi there!" "How you liking Hogwarts so far?" she asked. She opened up her Gryffindor journal and began to write about her first day. She started to doze off a little bit, but she managed to stay awake.

Ashley watched as Carmela rushed down the stairs. She took one last look around the dormitory and then followed her. I wonder where we will explore first, she thought.

Kurumi woke up as the sunlight hit her face. She could see some of the Hogwarts' grounds from the window next to her bed and it was going to be a beautiful sunny day. She rubbed the remaining sleep from her eyes and looked over to see Heather was already up and about - probably in the common room with Mr. Panda. She looked over and saw Sophia, a girl she hadn't been able to talk to very much the previous day, sitting on her bed writing in what looked like a diary. "Good morning," she half said half yawned as she started to brush the tangles out of her long black hair.

''Great!''she smiled at her. ''So, how did you find out that you are a witch?'' Do you have brothers or sisters?''she was excited,she wanted to meet her better. She was smiling all the time.

"Morning." she called, sheepishly back. Sophia grabbed her coffee that was now next to her bed and took a sip. Not many 11 year olds like coffee, but Sophia loved it. "Ya like coffee?" she asked, smiling. "It's the only way I can stay awake all day." she said, laughing.

She had tried some of her father's coffee before, but never took a liking to it. Her mother told her it was her Japanese blood rejecting it. Kurumi was more content to having a nice hot cup of green tea in the morning. "It's...OK," Kurumi responded shrugging a little. It was so like her not giving her honest opinion on this so as not to offend others. "I prefer green tea though." She had now finished combing all the tangles out of her hair and thought it would be best if she got dressed. Apparently, her cat, Walnut, thought different and decided to seat herself right on Kurumi's lap. "Good morning to you too," she laughed.

Just then, the door to the common room opened and a small girl carrying a panda entered, her silver eyes looking around the place. she had found Kurumi awake and talking with someone. She smiled.

"Good morning Kurumi!" Heather said as she approached her bed and looked at the other girl. "oh...G-good morning..." she greeted as well. she finally reached her bed and placed Mr. Panda on top. "Mr. Panda ran down to the common room when i animated him again. i had to run after in my pajamas still and caught him by the stairs." she said, taking her wand out and tapping the doll. The doll crossed its arms and shook its head. "come on Mr. Panda, i can't have you following me around to classes today. I'll be back later okay?" she sighed. "hibernate." The doll was now just an ordinary doll. Heather turned to her trunk and took out her uniform.

"Breakfast is ready, you want to go now?" she asked kurumi as she got to change her clothing. she also turned to the girl kurumi was talking with. "Would you like to join us as well?" she asked.

"Right, breakfast!" Kurumi squeeled jumping out of bed and throwing on her school robes. Today was the first day of classes...she could feel her heart pounding in her chest as she finished putting her hair up in its usual side pony-tail. This time she did it in such a manner that her long black hair cascaded down her right shoulder. Her violet eyes look full of life. "Yeah, let's go eat and head off to our classes!"

Heather was amused watching kurumi be hyper. she can't blame the girl; it's their first day in hogwarts, and classes will start today! How exciting! but they can't go with an empty stomach!

"right! let's go get breakfast then!" she followed Kurumi out the dormitory.

"Sophia," Kurumi called over her shoulder just as her and Heather were about to leave the room. "You are more than welcome to come and join us." She smiled and then let the door shut behind her while she chanted the first day of school mantra in her head.

"Oh well I my brother and my dad are wizards so I was half brought up to know magical stuff but at the same time things muggles do, since my mum is a muggle!" Brooke explained. She flashed her a smile.

"Huh?" Liesel looked up, she hadn't noticed the girl sitting there. "Oh, sorry! I'm Liesel. Nice to meet you Brooke. And yes, I feel like I'm about to pass out any second!" she said, with a yawn. She'd had so much fun today, she'd wished it would never end...

"Oh yea!" Sophia said. 'Sorry, I dozed off there for a second." she added. She walked up to the girl Kurmuri was also standing with and said "Hi! I am Sophia. What is your name?" She was very outgoing and didn't mind meeting new people. "So are you guys excited for school to start?" she asked.

"This is Heather," Kurumi said pushing Heather towards Sophia. "I can't wait for classes to start. I wish they already had...although, we've had a small encounter with magical things," Kurumi said as she winked at Heather. She was referring to Mr. Panda and the canary creams they had tried the day before. "You ever tried a canary cream?" she asked Sophia feeling the candy in her robe's pocket and hoping she hadn't so she could experience it for the first time.

Heather blushed as she was pushed forward by kurumi to meet the other girl named Sophia. hey, she had to meet her fellow gryffindors; she'll be with them until she graduates, it'll be awkward and very rude to not even know who they are or to meet them.

"H-hi, Sophia." she said with a weak but warm and welcoming smile. "It's nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you Heather!" Sophia said, smiling. "So, where are you from?" she asked. Sophia could tell she was shy, and she felt bad for Heather. Being shy is a hard thing to deal with.

"No, I actually haven't tried a canary cream..." she said, wondering where this was going to lead to. "I wish classes had started too!" she said, sighing. "I want to learn magic!" she said, playfully whining.

"oh...i'm f-from London." she answered as politely as she can. "How about you?"

Rubiey practically ran into the dormitory, and flopped onto her bed. Jeez, she was worn out. Running from the grounds all the way up the dormitory was not easy, but she had done it.

"Hiya Rubiey!" Sophia exclamied. "Isn't this place amazing?!" she asked in awe. "I cannot wait for classes to start!!!" she said, happily. "Which class are you most exctied for?" she asked. She looked around the room at all the gold and red beds. "Hogwarts really goes all out with the decoration." she said.

"Venice, Italy!" Sophia said, happily. She was very very hyper this morning, but she had no idea why. "Which class are you looking forward to the most?" she asked, polietly.

"Hey Sophia!! God, I know, its incredible, isn't it?!" She smiled, staring around the room. "Me either! Erm, Charms, DADA, Herbology, Potions, Astronomy... Actually, all of them!" She laughed. She couldn't wait. "What about you?"

"Yea it is!" she said, looking around the room. "I am looking forward to all of them too!" she said. "but, Arithmancy seems hard. I will really have to work hard in that class." she said, smiling. "Are you from Ireland by any chance?" she asked. "You last name sounds pretty Irish..." she said, smiling.

She nodded. "Yeah, Arithmancy seems very difficult. I'm rubbish at maths, always have been, so I'm kinda worried about it." She giggled. "Yeah, my dad was Irish. It seems I got all the good things from him." She smiled. Yup, the Irish-ness, long, dark eyelashes (meaning she never needed to wear mascara), light brown hair, blue eyes, and the small thing of being magical all came from her dad. "I was born in Dublin, but I moved to Liverpool when I was 7 with my mum, so I kinda picked up the accent." She giggled. People found it hard to understand her sometimes, especially when she spoke fast; mixture of Irish and Scouse wasn't the most comprehensive accent ever.

Alice walked into the room and let out a sigh of relief at the sight of girls. It would be her luck that on the first day she would walk into the boy's dormitory rather than her own. Realizing that there was really only one bed open, and realizing she hadn't needed to ask Rubiey where hers was, she went over and set her luggage down on the floor in front of it like everyone else had. She looked around the other girls in the room and smiled.

Alice smiled when she saw Jacqueline across the room and did a little wave. It was good to see she had made it to the dormitory okay and everything.

"Aliiiiiiiice." Rubiey giggled, as she came into the room. "See you found the bed alright then?" She asked, whilst sitting on her own bed. "Need help unpacking?" She asked, trying to be polite.
