The Front Gate Strong iron gates prevent students from getting out while making sure anything unwanted stays out. They can only be opened by the Professors and Staff and are always open on Hogsmeade weekends to allow for passage to the village. |
Mina pulled her hair into a messy bun, securing it with a quill as she walked up to The Front Gate. Seeing her rock, she let a tiny smile escape. The front gate and her rock was obviously going to be one of her first stops. She couldn't have just gone up to the library and hid out, but the fresh air was something she had wanted and nothing could really beat the feeling she got being there. Dropping her bag, she sat a top her rock and pulled out her new leather-bound journal. She had a quiet moment and she wanted to get a few things down. Moments of pure quiet for her were very far and in between. Pulling another quill out from her bag, she leaned over her journal and started to scribble away. |
Kiera Valkere had decided hours ago she was going to spend her day wandering throughout the grounds since the last chance she had to do that was her first day of school as a first year. And somehow through her wandering she wound up near the front gates, Now a fifth year, Kiera missed that time she had to becom accquanted with her lovely school, her smile was genuine this time. People werent something she enjoyed, she knew she was all better than them, even if that sounded stuck up, she knew it. She flipped her blonde hair and thought of turning back, but right before she noticed a youngr girl from ravenclaw sitting on a rock? Huh. Thats odd.... but Kiera felt an urge to be friendly and shouted a quick hello and waved smiling. |
Hearing the faint sound of something, Mina looked up and noticed she wasn't alone. She really hadn't expected to be alone there for long, but she hadn't expected anyone to find their way down toward the Front Gate so quickly. Noticing it was an older Slytherin, she closed her journal and sat up a bit. Hearing the greeting, she smiled as she returned the greeting and waved back. |
Quote:
Kiera hoped she hadn't disturbed the girl, she looked like she was quite into whatever is was she was writing in that journal of hers. But it would be horribly rude not to say anything after interuptting the girl already. So she stuck out her hand and said "Hey my names Kiera Valkere! Nice to meet you!" |

Aleks. Raven took her fedora off as she entered the victinity of the Front Gate, just being around here was definitely bittersweet since this was where she met her best friend and spent a lot of time just thinking but since this was her last term at the school; it was one of the last times she'd see the old gates to Hogwarts. That was one thing that she really wanted to forget seeing as there was still plenty of fun to have and a lot of memories to make, she replaced the hat on her head and walked around a little bit. |
Emily Pulled Emilya along the path, she had promised Keeley they would meet there. Emily was wearing her school robe with a black pleated wrap-around skirt with blue stitching she had made herself with a blue and grey argyle knit sweater she had found at a thrift store in Canada before coming to school. On her feet she sported argyle socks in a complementing colour scheme to her sweater, and a pair of light blue chuck tailor all stars. Emilya wore a black tee shirt and a light blue skirt with a flower motif in black under her school robe. She also wore pantyhose and black ballerina flats with black satin ribbons that circled up her legs all the way to her knee. The overall theme for today's dress was RAVENCLAW PRIDE! |
Quote:
"Sorry, wasn't looking where I was walking," She mumbed before turning in a different direction and continuing on her walk. |

"Keeley, want some white hot chocolate?" Emilya asked pulling a strange looking silver thermos from her bag. It had three cups on tup and a big black button and crank. She pulled off the cups and then cracked the crank a little bit. She then held up one of the cups and pushed the button and two streams of liquid came from the bottom. One was clear, which was water, and the other was white, which was the flavouring. Emilya then snapped the cup to the bottom and shook it. When she unsnapped it the steam was rising from the delicious drink which she offered to keeley. |

The actual words processed slowly in the redheads mind and she nodded slowly processing perhaps the first and last apology she'd ever get. "Last time you apologised, you didn't mean it did you?" Cam asked, just perhaps to feel the air moving through her windpipe which had previously been blocked by terror. "T-thanks, I suppose." She waited for a moment and then she stuck out her hand, "I think I should, perhaps, apologise too. I was little.. harsh?" She made an apologetic smile and shrugged, "I'm human.. I guess." |
Raven stared at the girl's outstretched hand for a second before finally deciding to extend her hand and shook the other girl's, even though she had a bad feeling about this decision but decided to ignore the feeling for the time being seeing as there was no point for this foolishness to continue. "Of course I didn't mean it, I only said it before my boyfriend took me away but this time I honestly mean it." Even though having Daniel come to take her away really didn't help the situation, it did make her realize how much of a fool she was. "A little harsh? Merlin I've never seen that much aggression in a very long time, I must say though that you very much remind me of myself at times with how irrational and completely aggressive I can get. I don't believe I've had the chance to introduce myself, the name's Raven Athlon; 7th year Slytherin." After she had said that comment, she realized how odd it sounded but it was too late to take it back. |
Quote:
"I would've taken that as an insult.. but I suppose you mean it like a compliment so.. thank you. I guess." Cameron surmised with a shrug. |
Lissa walked slowly to the front gate. She'll never find me. She smirked and waited for Amy to turn up, if she did. |
Amy walked around the school, tired and panting she spotted Lissa, Fou-fo-found, youu she said, gasping and leaning over with a stitch |

Her coat rapped firmly around her robes, Leah stepped out into the biting wind and slight drizzle, a firm look on her thin face. It wasn't the most intelligent idea ever, to go out when it wasn't the warmest and face the elements, but at that time, it hadn't really occurred to her. She needed some time away from the incessant chitterings of her room-mates. Sure, they were all of her age, but that didn't mean that she enjoyed their needless talks about which guy they had their eye on. It sickened her, if anything. Finding a spare area of wall to sit on, she curled her feet up underneath herself, and stared blandly out of the gate. |
Trixie literally bounded towards the Front Gate of Hogwarts. She had arranged to meet Aiden there so she was pretty excited about it. She was early, as per usual but she didn't mind. Tossing back her blonde hair that she had curled especially for him, Trixie arrived at the gate and lent on the post anticipating his arrival. At this very time, Trixie thought her life to be perfect. Maybe a little confusing. She had no idea what the situation between her and Patrick was, or whether she adn Ella were getting along just yet but she loved it all the same. |
Quote:
|
Trixie smiled as she saw Aiden appear with her. "Hey" she grinned at him and then looked down at her own curls. "Thank you" she said blushing slightly as he complimented her. "Just thought I'd better do something with my hair" she sighed. SHe shook her head. "No I was just a little early. You are perfectly on time. I'm pretty impressed actually. Guys are usually late all the time" she giggled. |
Quote:
|
Trixie grinned. "And I am glad that you do. Otherwise it will be a little rude wouldn't it?" she asked smiling sweetly. "They have been quite marvellous. And most certainly full of drama" she laughed a little. "Me and Ella are actually being civilized now" she giggled. "And how about your own?" she asked. At least he didn't have to do his owls letter this year like Trixie had to. SHe was a little stressed over them but they would be alright. |
Quote:
|
Trixie smiled. "Yes really?" she giggled her infectious giggle. If she had a drank she would of spat it out when Aiden said that they would be BFF's by the end of term. "Err, yeah right" she said sarcastically. "I think the only thing we can become is acquaintances. Because we kind of have to be family" she sighed. "That's good" she smiled. "It's certainly different at Hogwarts isn't it?" she asked. |
Quote:
|
Trixie shrugged slightly. "I'm not sure really. It's certainly got a lot more variety in the lessons taht they teach here but I prefer the Beauxbatons atmosphere. There are onnly certain things that make Hogwarts a lot better. You being one of them" she smiled sweety. "And the bitterness with me and Ella. Although it may appear bad to an outsider, our most recent conversation in the common room had no arguments whatsoever" she smiled nowing that Aiden would probably be impressed. "This conversations going no where is it?" she asked realising that they were making small talk, and Trixie Malfoy didn't like small talk. |
Quote:
|
Trixie nodded. "I would have to agree with you there. I'm kinda fed up of people asking me exactly what Beauxbatons was like. It was just a school" she said getting a little fustrated but relaxing when she turned and looked back at Aiden. "Well I live to please" she flashed her pearly whites. "Well I live to please some anyway" she smiled. She giggled slightly as she watched the sun beaming down on him and reflecting in his gorgeous blue eyes. "You alright there?" she asked as she moved over as to block off the sunlight. |
Quote:
|
Trixie smiled and bit her lip. "Erm. I don't know. Whoever makes me happy. I guess that would be you at the moment then" she said grinning sweetly. Not many people made Trixie happy. Her cousin, Lemon did but she hadn't seen her in some time. Where was she? She watched as he bent down to tie his shoe lace. "Are you trying to break the small talk by tying your shoes?" she asked giggling. "No problem" she smiled and moved slightly more to the right so she could lean on the post. |
Quote:
|
Trixie laughed at his little introduction. "And here I am; Trixie Malfoy. Aiming to please" she grinned copying what he had just said and holding out her arms to present herself. She quickly turned to see what he was looking at but upon seeing nothing she turned back round. She giggled hard when he corrected her. "Alright then" she smirked. She looked down at her own shoes. Hmm Maybe not so appropriate for when classes start. I don't think they appreciate heels like they did back in Beauxbatons. |
Quote:
|
Trixie laughed as he repeated the phrase. "That's what I said yes?" she giggled and then turned back to serious as she looked at her shoes. "Well yes. To be honest these were the only shoes I had. That's one thing I forget |
Quote:
"Oh yeah, she told me why she got expelled as well," he chimed in. "The whole Polyjuice Potion thing." He repressed a laugh. "Pretty daring, if you ask me." |
Trixie smiled and nodded her head. "If you say so" she said with a light giggle. She continued to look down at her shoes but got bored. She wasn't going to wear those awful flats and Diagon Alley wasn't open so she couldn't buy any anyway so she was stuck with her heels. Not that it bothered her at all. Trixie nodded along but smirked when he said about it being rather daring. "Pretty stupid if you ask me" she giggled. "Especially as it was one of my best friends that she hexed" she got a little frustrated at the last part. Trixie didn't take too kindly to people hurting her friends except she didn't know it was Ella at the time, otherwise there would have been big trouble. |
Jay walked up to the enormous gate, he slid down it and started to cry... Lessons havent started yet and things were already going for the worse. |
Quote:
|
"Wha-." he said, looking up. "Oh, hi." he said, looking at her with fear. |
Quote:
|
"I hate this place, thats what." he said, "In Diagon Alley, we were fine, EVERYONE not just us, here I make 1 mistake and look at everything, awkwardness everywhere, even now." he said awkwardly, touching his nose. "Thanks for the help yesterday by the way, I couldn't say thanks because you put your headphones in." he added. "I finally realised how much it hurt me though, yesterday when you replaced me," he said trying to stop more tears coming out. |
Quote:
|
"Thanks," He said taking a tissue, and Yeah, but I just felt so angry at myself because of what happened yesterday, and the past few days. I am not joking at this moment because I have had too much on my mind. Otherwise I would do it all. Just seems this place is bad luck for me, I mean you said the bird wasnt instructed by you but it still attacked me. If it wasn't for you then I would. Now I don't know what to do..." he said wiping his tears. |
Quote:
|
"Yeah, I understand what you'r saying and it wouldn't make me feel good, it didn't make me good even being in the situation I was in, so you must have been a wreck, Now she knows I like her and I really need Nico back..." he admitted. |
Quote:
|
"No...no,no,no,no,no!" he said, "He can't be leaving, this is really, really bad!" he added, being dragged into the castle. |
Amy walked down to the massive stone and sat down on it, legs folded on the stone, infact she had the sit of a pixie about her, she pulled out her book and began to read the leather bound heavy book, opening the first page |
Jay walked near the front gate, he noticed Amy and went up to talk to her, "Nice place to think ain't it, so peaceful." he commented. |

"I'm sorry, didnt mean to suprise you or anything, im alright, what about you? By the way, me and simon made up, no point living in a dorm and getting at each others throats, he seems to think you hate him and asked me to say something because he wants to be your friend not enemy." he stated. |
Quote:
|
"Can you go easier on Simon,he seems to think you hate him and asked me to say something because he wants to be your friend not enemy." he repeated. |
Quote:

"Thanks," he said smiling. "Seems a bit random and strange but he just asked me to ask you..." he said losing his train of thought. |

SPOILER!!: Gold!! The sun was shining brightly on the Front Gates of Hogwarts, causing them to glitter and throw of a bright prisom of light towards the advancing Gryffindor Prefects. Chris lifted his hand to sheild his eyes, not the one that was closed intimately in his company's. "Geez, Gold could you have picked a more sunny spot?" he grinned as he joked with her. He walked over to a nice spot of grass and just fell backwards on his back to look at the clouds, the wind blowing at his light brown hair. Gold was pulled along for the trip. Chris was back to his old playful self. |
Quote:
Gold had frankly not expected it to be this sunny, but that was okay. Sunlight isn't bad for anyone - well, scratch that if you're a vampire, or something of that sort. But it was nice, as a general rule. Gold liked it, at any rate. "Gold, remember?" She told him, with a laugh. "The spot goes with the name." Sunlight, golden, shiny. See? She let him choose a spot, and was surprised when he... 'fell' on his back. "That cloud looks like a teddy bear," she said, placing an elbow on the ground, and leaning slightly on it. |
Quote:
Then she pointed up at the sky and pointed out a cloud. "A teddy bear?" he turned his head to the side and scruntched up his mouth and nose as he squinted at it for a second. "Yeah I see it." he said grinning finally. "Ooh and look that one is shaped like Professor Borr, remember him?!" he chuckled to himself as he pointed out the large, blob-like cloud above them. |
Quote:
"I don't, in fact," she frowned, ever so slightly. "I think he taught here, a term before I transferred. Not sure, exactly, but I've heard people mention him." She squinted at the cloud, above. It was sort of - for lack of a better word - bulbous. "He can't have been that fat," she mused out loud. Really! |
Quote:
Even though his eyes were hidden behind his hand you could still see his eyebrows scrunch together as he remembered. "Oh yeah, I forgot you transferred right after that. It seems as if you were here all along." he girinned showing his white teeth. He loved being like this with her, all funny and open. "And for the record he was--or at least very close to it." he added as a funny afterthought. This was definately turning out to be a good day. |
Quote:
Hehe. "People tend to," she agreed, with half a smile. "I feel like I've been here all along, too. Hogwarts is like a second home, now." She looked up at the cloud, again. It was floaty and warm and fuzzy and it was -- going away. "Professor Borr is leaving us," she said, pouting. "Tell him to come back." She hadn't even had a proper look at him. AND her Teddy Bear Cloud was nowhere to be seen, either. Gold wanted it back. ... and that wasn't silly at all. |
Quote:
Chris turned and then made a sad face as she was right, Professor Borr-cloud was leaving. "It is probably because he is too gas-eous." he stated trying not to loose himself in a fit of laughter. She probably wouldn't get it but he sure did. Maybe he could explain later but this moment was not the time to explain things of that explosive manner with a girl that he is starting a relationship with. "Hmmm well there will be more, don't worry." he removed a strand of her red hair that had fallen in front of her face and tucked it behind her ear. |
SPOILER!!: Chris <33 Gold grinned. "I like being awesome. I can be Awesome!Gold, and you can be Captain!Awesome. Or Head Boy!Awesome," she added, as an afterthought. She had forgotten Chris was the Head Boy. Silly. "Mm?" She didn't get his remark, of course. If she had had, Gold would have chuckled. "I hope that wasn't meant to be funny," she added, as she noticed the change in his expression - like he was trying not to laugh. "Because I didn't get it at all." She was surprised when he reached out and -- tucked a strand of hair, behind her ear. But her lips turned up into a smile. "Captain!Awesome," she laughed. |
Antonia was still not happy about being here. Why couldn't she be spending the year with her dad, wherever the heck he was right now? Antonia still had no clue. Hogwarts was all right, but she hated being out here on her on. |
Quote:
|
Antonia saw her cousin running up to her. "Simon! I've been wondering where you were." Then she looked at his black and yellow tie. "Oh, got sorted into Hufflepuff, did you?", she asked. "Yeah, that suits you, you have the outgoing personality for that." Antonia then realized that Simon was telling her that he had gotten a letter they had sent to their parents. She smiled. "Yes, I would love to read it!", she answered, almost jumping with excitement. "Let me see it now!" "Please," she added as an afterthought, realizing that she was being a bit rude. |
Kay had walked to the front gate and looked out. Maybe she should write home and ask to be moved to another school. Somewhere the kids weren't so mean. How did one Im sorry turn into a big fight? Why had rex gotten so mad about her touching Oliver hand? Sighing she sat down by the gate and waited. Hopefully Oliver would come. Or maybe he wouldn't. Maybe he was mad at her too? She leaned down on the gate and would wait until dark. Then she could run back to the castle before she got into trouble for being out after dark. |
Quote:
Simon thought about making her wait because she had demanded to see the letter but then she said please so he passed it over for her to read. SPOILER!!: letter |
Quote:
"I'm sorry, it would have been epic had you known what I was talking about." he blushed slightly, the pink rising at the top of his cheekbones. And then she said captain! awesome as he moved her hair and he then whispered. "Here for the rescue whenever I am needed." Que winning smile. Then suddenly his stomach growled. "Hmmm well you know what that means right? If I don't get any food soon I will end up devouring all of the cute Red heads near me, and since you are the only one..." he said with a mischevious smile, as he started to stand up. |
SPOILER!!: Captain!Awesome xD Gold chuckled. "You mean to say Captain!Awesome isn't?" She asked, leaning over to poke him lightly, in the arm. It was a surprise that she was actually having a good time. Not that Chris wasn't great or anything, but because she hadn't had a good time in quite a while, and was only starting to get used to laughter again, now. "Always needed," she said gently, before nodding. Since she didn't want to be devoured, and all. "I'm pretty sure you'll have lots of people to answer, at Hogwarts, if you do that," she said, as she rose to her feet, before giving him a tiiiny smile and heading back to the castle, with him. |
Carter headed towards the front gate hoping to run into Mina. He hadn't seen her since the end of last term and really missed her. He smiled as he spotted her. "Hey there." he said walking toward her. |

Mina glanced up from a top her rock at the iron gates and sighed. Her mind wasn't all there and all she could think about was cupcakes and brownies.....and the urge to throw them. She seriously wasn't in her right mind, but when had she ever been completely in her right mind. Smiling to herself, she shook her head. Maybe she didn't really want to be in her right mind. It probably wasn't have gotten her anywhere anyway. Besides, she kind of liked the person she was at the moment. New friends and all. Maybe this term wasn't going to be as terrible as she thought. She would just have to continue avoiding certain people and life would be easier on her. She didn't need them, did she? It wasn't like she hadn't gotten along without them since last term. A tiny part of her did miss them, but she had no idea if any of them still even thought about her any more. She had a feeling it would be just they same as before. Forget poor little Mina while they had boyfriends and girlfriends to occupy their time. Jealousy and bitterness, doesn't suit you. The voices were back again and annoying as always. She would just have to get used to them again. On most days, they weren't all that terrible. Letting out another sigh, she noticed someone approaching. At the her best friend, she first wanted to smile, but held back slight and smiled a tiny smile. "Hey stranger." |
Quote:
Antonia listened as Simon said he was going to their grandmother's house for the holiday. "Lucky you, I'm stuck here at this awful old school for the whole holiday season," she grumbled. "What did I do to deserve this? Does my dad hate me now or something?" She wiped a tear from her eye. She seldom cried and liked to pretend she was tough, but this was really getting to her. She brushed it aside with the sleeve of her sweater, hoping that Simon hadn't noticed. |
