Ellie laughed and ticked her list off on her fingers, "The written portion," one finger, "Arithmancy, Potions.." two and three, "Ancient Runes, Care of Magical Creatures, History of Magic..." four, five, she didn't put up the sixth. That would require her other hand, which was holding the car, "And then I'm done, I think." she said. She'd have to check the notice board to make sure. "But I could do all that later. It feels too nice out now." she said, breathing in the cool fall breeze. It was getting colder everyday. She needed to savor the warmer moments while they lasted.

Trixie smiled as he completely dropped the subject for which she was truely thankful. For if she progressed any more then things could get even more complicated then they already were and that was just bad. She smiled as he admitted that their revenge wasn't actually that bad after all. "Well we are cunning Slytherins Aiden you couldn't of thought that you were gonna get away lightly" she smiled. But then he started going on about what had actually happened to him afterwards and it just made her crack up in fits of giggles. "Okay now that is just hilarious. Aww you got told by a second year" she giggled mischievously again. "That's just classic" she sighed afterwards. "See now you know not to mess with us don't you? But I see you eventually got it off" she said noting that he no longer had any ink on his face. "I didn't think you could rock that style"

Bradin walked down to the Font Gate. He didn't want to go but he just felt like going for a walk. He saw a boy sat down on a rock writing on stones. He guessed he was writing down runes or something. He walked up to the boy and smiled. "Hey. I don't believe we've met. I'm Bradin" he said as he approached the blonde haired boy.

Carter had now finished smoothing out the remaining rocks. Now he just had to paint the remaining rune symbols. After another few minutes he was done. He looked down at his 24 painted rocks. Why were they drying in different colors? Looking at the ink bottle he was using he noticed that it was an ever-changing ink bottle. Whoops. He liked it though. He then gathered the runes and put them in his bag. Creating a rune set -- Mission accomplished.


Carter finished putting the stones in his bag when some guy approached him. "Hey. I'm Carter." he said.

Bradin smiled as Carter put his rocks in a bag. He was correct about the runes. "Nice to meet you. Awesome paint on those rocks. I'm guessing thats for Ancient Runes" he replied. He was correct about the runes but whether he was correct about them being for Ancient Runes was a different matter.

Carter smiled. "Thanks." he said. "Yeah, the Ancient Runes assignment was to make our own rune set. And this is mine." he said holding up his rune bag. "I accidently used ever-changing ink. But I like the way it turned out."

Bradin smiled. The rune set was awesome. "They look awesome. I doubt that it matters what colour they are" he replied as he sat down on the rock beside Carter. "What year are you in?" he asked.

"Third." Carter answered. "What about yourself?" he asked the other boy. They looked around the same age.

Bradin smiled. Finally he'd met a fellow third year who wasn't a total idiot. "Third. Glad to finally meet a fellow third year" he replied.

Carter chuckled. "Yeah. I haven't seen you around before. Are you new this year?" he asked. Maybe he was another transfer. He thought he knew everyone that had started out at the same time he did.

Bradin smiled. Was this boy psychic? "Yeah I moved here from California" he replied. He liked England but nowhere near as much as California. At least he was making some good friends, and was close to getting a girlfriend.

"California? That is one place I've never been." Carter said. "So does that make you one of those surfer boys?" he asked.

Bradin giggled. "Thats one way to put it. I am a surfer but I also did a lot of running" he replied. Carter seemed cool. And it seemed like they could be great friends. "You'd like it in California. Awesome beaches and a great vacation spot" he added. Carter seemed like the type of guy who'd like California. Or at least he did to Bradin anyway.

Cody smiled back at Savannah, following her over to the gate rail. Yay! Another 6th year! "Best part of the castle? Easy. The lake." Ah, he loved the lake. Georgie hadn't been kidding when she said how attached he'd grow to it. "It's amazing over there. The waters so clear, and yes, there are some nasty creatures at the bottom, but if you don't provoke them, you should be fine." Chuckling he had to add on the class comment, "Yeah! If I ever actually attend class." Which hadn't happened so far.

"Sure." Hopping up onto the seat next to her, Code swung his legs like a little kid. "Mhm, don't forget the name. Could very well be your saving grace." Wink.

"Cunning Slytherins, you wish," Aiden teased with a smile. Although he was surprised when the whole thing turned out worse than he had anticipated. Pink goatee. Pfft. "Go ahead, make fun. It's indeed all off now. And, by the way, I bet that second year just used it as an excuse to talk to me; she was probably in awe of my utter attractiveness." Heheh. He was kidding, of course. "But the stupid marker took forever to actually get off. I must've scrubbed at it for an hour."

Mina laughed softly. Ellie really remind her of herself as a first year. "Sounds like you are just as busy as I am." she replied as she pulled out her journal with all her assignments in it. ""I have to do all of those as well and still have time to see my friends." Really, there wasn't enough time in the day for everything. Looking up at the gates, she smiled. "Yes, it is way too nice to be coped up doing homework." Yes, she wanted to just stay where she was for a while.

"That does sound like a good time. I haven't been to many beaches before." Carter said. Nope, he and his family mostly spent time in little villages. "So what brings you to rainy England all the way from sunny California?" he asked.

Bradin smiled. "It is fun" he replied. Then he sat and thought about Carter's question. Good question. Why had he moved to England? "My dad wanted a change. We have some pretty bad memories back in America, one in particular, and we just felt the need to move away from it" he explained.

Carter nodded. "Well, in that case welcome to Hogwarts. Hopefully things are much better for you here than they were back there." he said with a smile.

Bradin returned the smile. "I've met some awesome people so far. Things look like they'll be taking me down a great road" he told Carter with Ginny in mind. He smiled at that thought and the smile refused to disappear. It had no reason to go after all.

Carter laughed. "I take it by that smile that 'pretty awesome people' means you met a girl." he said still laughing. Yes sir, he knew that smile. He'd get one every time Marie was mentioned.

Bradin's face went comically serious. "Yes I did meet a girl. A lot of them but this girl is amazing. And has a special place in my heart. Like Marie to you" he replied. He hoped he hadn't just put his foot in it. "I have made some awesome friends though. And made an enemy" he added.

Carter chuckled. "Congrats mate." he said happily. "Marie and I?" he asked with a raised eyebrow. "How do you know about that?" he asked.

Bradin giggled. "Thanks and as for me knwoing about you and Marie, Justin has big gob and told me about you guys. He told me who to look out for and who to make friends with. And who were the couples and who weren't. He clearly stated that I was to just be friends with Maddie or else" he explained.

Carter nodded. "Oh, right. Thank makes sense. How do you know Justin?" he asked. Since Justin went to Durmstrang and Bradin was from the states.

Ellie nodded. She had no idea there would be this much homework. And the sorting hat obviously had no idea how much of a procrastinator she could be. What was he?she? it... it thinking putting her in Ravenclaw? She shook her head at her own thoughts.

"Maybe we could work on it together?" she was just full of brilliant ideas today. "Make it more bearable?" Doubt it. Homework is never bearable, by the way.. Why were they getting homework anyway? They lived at school... It's still schoolwork... Just a lot of it. Major sigh.

Ellie smiled. Good. Homework together. Fun.

Then she pursed her lips together. "Never like homework much. Even the easy things we did at muggle school was awful." Silly science and spelling. Like she'd ever need that. She just needed a spell check or quick quotes quill and she'd be fine.

Mina laughed slightly. She wasn't all that fond of homework herself but, she kept at it anyway. "I don't really like it, but you know I keep doing it for the house. The house cup means A LOT to me," she admitted. Well that and being on the top earners board. Silly goals and promises she always made for herself.

Ellie smiled.

"I want to do it for points too. For the seventh years. I'd hate it if I didn't win the cup my last year because annoying first years decided to not do their homework. They want to go off with a bang. What's wrong with that?" It was very true. They deserved it. "Being on top feels good, too." she knows.

Mina smiled, she felt the same way and she wanted to help their house keep the house cup for the Head Girl. Cela was the best and she didn't want to be a reason why Ravenclaw didn't win the cup. "You know we have to win the cup, for Cela! I mean, she is like the most awesomest person I know and she so deserves to graduate with our house on top," she nodded. "We so did it last term and we are going to do it this term too!"

Ellie nodded. Then she was like, so let's get cracking then and she took out her books and other homeworky things. She said, "For Cela!" as she did so.

"So, what first? I suppose finish up Transfiguration?" seemed to make sense.

Mina nodded and smiled. "Yes, for Cela!" Pulling her journal back out, she flipped it to a blank page. "Yeah, transfigurations and then Ancient Runes?"

"Sounds good. I have a question about that, too, by the way. I was going to ask Cela, but I couldn't seem to find her. Maybe you can help, then." She said. Reading their assignment, "Gamp's laws... So those are life, food.." she closed her eyes trying to remember, "m-m-money...?" That didn't sound right.

Mina nodded and looked at Ellie. "Sure, just shoot. I'll see if I can help," she replied. She wasn't all that knowledgeable about things, but she was willing to give it a try. "Money and love. Both can not be created out of thin air."

"I was just wondering what a Rune actually is... See, I thought it was like a language. Or... well... I guess we said that during class.. That it could be used as communication.. But I don't understand what purpose a physical Rune serves, or what to carve onto it, or what it does..." Just so confused. She felt like the teacher didn't touch on that much....

"Oh, so money is one." yay for memory! "And magical items, too." Then she reread the assignment. "So... I could say aquamenti, right? That violates the law.. or seems to... but I don't know where the water actually comes from. Is it summoned from a source?" She hoped she wasn't asking too many questions. Or any that Mina couldn't answer.

Mina thought about it and nodded slightly. She wasn't really sure about some of it, but she did have a guess and it was worth trying to explain what she could. "Well, runes are a set of symbols. In their physical state, you can really use them to communicate. I mean Witch Runes were used for that reason. We studied them last term. And the carvings on runes varies. Some have the Elder Futhark alphabet and others have pictures on them. It really just depends on what kind of runes we are talking about." she tried to explain. "So you know for our homework, we need to make our own set of runes, right? Once we finish them we can use our runes to reading and stuff. Each rune stands for a different thing and has a meaning." She just hoped she was making sense to Ellie.

"Yes, food, money, love, life, and objects with magical properties." she smiled. "Well, you are just summoning the water and not creating it out of thin air. It comes from somewhere else and you aren't really creating it. It's hard to understand and all but you know magic isn't always easy to understand."

Ellie tried. She really did. "So what are we using for our homework?"

Anddd. "Alright." head nod, "Yeah, I just thought you'd learn spells and use them. Not so much figure out how they work or why they work...." This was something her daddy left out when teaching her about Hogwarts. Humph.

Mina reached over and pulled out her Ancient Runes notebook. Flipping over to the page with the Elder Futhark alphabet, she showed it to Ellie. "There are 24 characters and in some sets a blank rune." she explained.

She laughed softly and shook her head. "Oh there is so much more about magic then just spells and using them. We are to know the theory behind them and all." she nodded. "Just think, if it was that simple to do magic and all, how boring things would get after a while."

Ellie looked at the book and shook her head. She'd worry about that later. It still made next to no sense to her. "We'll do that later." Yes. That sounded perfect.

She sat there thinking about it... "Maybe." she shrugged. Perhaps she didn't pay as much attention to her parents' magic uses. Come to think of it... They did only use it for boring reasons. Cooking, cleaning... Only her daddy used it to play tricks and such. Hehe. "Yeah, I bet there's loads of magic I havn't seen yet."

Mina smiled and shook her head slightly. It was all a bit overwhelming, she knew it. She had felt the same way when she was a firstie. "You know if you need help with the runes, I could help you with them, if you want." she offered.

"YOu know there is still a lot of sure about magic, I need to learn," she laughed. "But learning something new about it, still excites me. You would think that since there are rules involved, so people wouldn't keep doing magic, but its so wonderful and .....magical." she added with a nod. They were always learning more each day there at Hogwarts.

"That would be fantastic!" she said, relieved.

"Yeah! And you can still invent spells. I'm not sure how, but I do know that people have been making up new spells for centuries." Magic awed even her. And she was surprised about this because she had always thought she knew everything. Gosh, she was a brat.

Bradin guessed Justin had missed out the American part of himself. "He lived in America for like 7 years before he moved to England. His dad has been constantly moving him around. He lived with my family for like 4 years in California before his dad moved him to England, now he's back in America again. He's American. I'm guessing he never told you that part" he explained. He couldn't believe Justin failed to mention he was American.

"Yeah, he didn't mention that." Carter said. Oh well, the topic never really came up. "My family has travel a lot too. I never lived in more than one place for a few weeks, so I guess it's a bit different."

Bradin half-smiled. Awkward! "I guess he never really wanted to talk about it. He is pretty sensitive, but has a very funny way of showing it. He doesn't like other people to see when he's upset" he explained. Apparantly there was a lot Justin had failed to tell everyone about himself.

Carter smiled and nodded. "Yeah. I think everyone gets like that." he said. He knew there was something things that he didn't like talking about.

Bradin nodded. He knew he was one of those people. But he loved to make people feel special. And he made it his duty to make them feel wanted and loved. "I can't name one person I know that isn't like that" he replied. Then he thought about Violet. "Correction, I can name one. Violet Riddle is the most self-centered person on the entire planet" he said. Why in gods name had he just gone on about Violet?

Carter laughed. "You're lucky you weren't here the past two terms. This is actually Violet at her calmest." he said. "Has she already hit on you? I hear she goes through boys fairly quickly, and Slytherin only has so many."

Bradin laughed. Ha. If that was calm then he'd hate to have seen her when she was totally chilled out. "Yes she has made a pass at me. We met in the common room and her being her somehow managed to manipulate me, she kissed me then I told her nothing could happen and she flipped. We both said some very mean things" he explained. Nope. No one should get on the bad side of Bradin Marcus Westerly. Unless they wanted to see his cruel side. It only took someone like Violet to step over the mark and he was gone. Totally mental. But he knew she would be the only one to do that.

At least by this point in the schoolyear, Aiden wasn't getting lost. Not as much as before, that is. He made his way across the grounds, and he eventually ended up by the front gate of Hogwarts. For once it was open, with it being a Hogsmeade weekend and everything. He brought one hand up out of his coat pocket and grabbed one of the wrought iron poles in the gate as his eyes scanned the area down further.

OMG. The gates were open!! She could escape!!!!

Not really.. Her parents would kill her if she tried any kind of funny business at this school. She had to endure it for a little longer now until the summer holidays and then she could have a break. She approached the front gate anyway and stared at the outside world for a moment or two before looking around at her surroundings.

"Oh." She breathed. Aiden was standing right next to her and she didn't even notice. "Hi Aiden." She said awkwardly. Ella hadn't had a chance to properly speak to him after all the events that had occured recently. Siiigh, this wouldn't be good.

From the corner of his eye, Aiden noticed someone eagerly come right up to the front gate beside him to look out beyond it. He turned his head. Oh. It was Ella.. This wasn't awkward at all... "Hi, Ella," he greeted somewhat flatly while his eyes transitioned back to the view before him. The cold wasn't so noticeable now; his body must have gotten used to it.

His unenthusiasm just made it all even more awkward. "I'm glad I bumped into you actually. I want to apologize, for ruining everything." Hopefully their friendship wouldn't be tarnished. Because she wouldn't be able to cope through the year without Aiden. Like she said to Patrick, he was like her best friend at most times. And it's not like she had anybody else who liked her in the slightest.

Hmmh. Ella must have been getting good at this apology stuff. He nodded. "Can't change any of it now," he said, running his hand down the wrought iron pole. A timeturner would probably be of use about now. "I'd apologize for the whole fight thing, but I can't honestly say that I'm that sorry." His thoughts backtracked back to that day, that week, really. It had all been replaying a lot in his mind lately. And in the others', he was sure.

Carter nodded. "It's a shame really. I bet a good boyfriend would do that girl good. Calm her down and such." he said. Not that he was ever going to be that guy. In fact, he felt a bit sorry for whoever that would be.

"Whoever that boy is better be prepared for a bumpy ride 'cause its gonna be a rocky road to heven" replied Bradin. He knew Violet was capable of being good, she just didn't have the faith to use her good side. "She just needs a lot of turning around and the way her mind works needs switching" he added.

Carter laughed. "Yeah." he said agreeing with him. Oh well, all girls, even Violet deserved a good guy. "So are you adjusting well to British life?" he asked him. Having so much tea was certainly different than what went on in California.

If only she could change it. To make everything perfect again. Siigh. "It's fine, I don't blame you for the fight. I shouldn't of caused such a.. slippery relationship for you and Patrick." As for her fight with Savannah, well that was just childish. Technically speaking though, it wasn't Ella's fault. "I hope we can still be friends." She looked away from him and outside of the gate again. Ella wanted to leave Hogwarts. Leave and never ever come back.

"That slippery relationship was our own doing." Well. Ella may have been involved in it all, though. She was the Helen of Troy! hah. He looked to her. "I am curious, though. When you kissed me, did it mean anything, or were you just caught up in the moment..?" Aiden waited a moment, then spoke further. "And just tell me honestly. I just want to be clear about what you want from me." He loosened his grip on the pole and returned his hand to the warmth of his pocket.

Psh, no it was Ella's fault and she would continue to blame herself for all this mess at school. She sighed as he spoke, then returned his gaze. "Of course it meant something. I don't just go around kissing people you know." And she did risk a lot, and lost a lot because of that kiss. So if it was just a one off, then she would be mad. "I know it caused me and Patrick to break up but.. it wasn't working out anyway so.." She shrugged and finally accepted that fact. They were never going to be together again.

Aiden nodded. All right, then that was reassuring. His previous thoughts had been that he was just being strung along as a safety net sort of thing in case the two had broken up. But, by her answer, he felt ashamed for even allowing the notion to pass through his mind. "Okay, I just needed to know." He offered a smile. He wasn't quite sure how to respond to her comment about she and Patrick breaking up. "Maybe it's for the best, then." He flipped the several coins in his pocket between his fingers, toying with them subconsciously.

Bradin smiled and thought about it for a while. "Yeah. By the way my dad said I can invite some of my friends from Hogwarts to the Manor over the summer, wanna come and if you come you can bring Marie too" he replied remembering what his dad had said before he left got Hogwarts.

"Thanks for inviting me mate." Carter said. "But unfortunately I won't be able to go." he said sadly. "We're going on a family trip." he said. If you could call it a family trip. It was another one of his parent's humanitarian trips, but this time they were going to his sister's hometown.

Bradin looked disappointed. Well so far that was one that couldn't visit the manor. "Thats too bad. Anywhere nice?" he replied. Such a pity Carter couldn't visit the manor, Bradin would have loved for him to go. Never mind. His other friends were going at least. Most of them anyway. He hadn't had a response from some of them.

Carter laughed. "I wish." he said. "My parents are muggle doctors. Every summer we all make a trip to a place that can't afford doctors." he explained. "Last summer we didn't go because there was a new addition to the family. This year we're going to her hometown." he said. "My little sister is adopted. Her parents died from something and my parents will be working with a team of other doctors to try and figure out what happened." he said.

Bradin's jaw dropped open. He knew muggle lifestyle's were weird but this was by far the weirdest yet. "I bet its boring for you. My dad is ok with the whole wizard thing and likes the fact that I can make friends of my own type. Its weird having a muggle in the family but when they understand the whole consept of witchcraft and wizardry. But Nikki isn't so hung up on the idea of me being a wizard" explained Bradin. He'd always loved to show Nikki tricks knowing that she's always keep it quiet. They were half brother and sister but they were extremely tight.

"It is sometimes. But I've had a lot of fun and learned tons. Not just about muggle medicine, but different ways of life. I think because of all that travel my parents let me come out here. To Hogwarts I mean." Carter said. "And because of that I've made lots of friends everywhere."

"Thats about the only good thing about travelling. You get to meet new people" replied Bradin. That was all he liked about it anyway. And that was all he would ever like about it.

Carter laughed. "That... and sports. There's some excellent football players in Brazil." he said. "And by football I mean what you Americans call soccer." he explained, in case Bradin got confused on which sport it was.

"And food. Food is always an excellent thing."

Bradin giggled. He was getting used to the British way of saying things. It was so different. Soccer here was football and football here was rugby. Confusing! "I'm slowly getting used to the change in words. And the major time difference. Do you play baseball in England?" he adked curiously. That was one of the many sports he loved. He always went to a baseball game every weekend.

Carter nodded. "Yeah, there is a league here too." he said. "But it's not nearly as popular as cricket or polo." he said listing the other two sports played with a smaller ball. "But it's becoming more popular."he explained.

"Do you play baseball?"

"Polo?" replied Bradin. He didn't know what polo was but it sounded fun. He'd never actually played the game before, he only played baseball, basketball, or ice hockey. "I've never actually heard of polo. We never played it where I came from" he explained.

"Yes I do play baseball. And ice hockey and basketball" he replied.

"Polo is a game played on horseback. I've never played it myself either. I think it's mostly a high society sport. And my family hasn't owned a horse until very recently." Carter explained.

"That's so exciting. I've only ever played football." he said. "That and quidditch."

That would explain it. Bradin didn't own any horses until a year ago when his dad brought Westerly Estate. "We got a set of stables with the estate so maybe I can leanr how to play polo in the summer. If I can find someone here who knows how to play it" he replied.

"Never played Quidditch, but intend to learn in the summer when Ginny's at the estate with me, and football, or as I call it soccer, is one of my favourite sports to play" he said. He loved most sports.

"Quidditch is a lot of fun. I guess I must have a natural talent for sports because I made the team after my first time on a broom." Carter said. He wasn't trying to brag, but he was still amazed at that two years later. "I only made it as reserve, but still... it was pretty exciting."

"You must be a great player then. Are you on the team this year?" asked Bradin. It was a pity Carter couldn't go to the estate. He could have taught him some skills. O wells. Ginny could teach him to play Quidditch.

"Yeah. I'm a chaser." Carter said. "They're the ones that toss the balls around and try to score." he explained. "And I do alright. I score about three times a game."

"Sounds like a fun game to me" replied Bradin. He seemed to like the sound of Quidditch and he'd only just been introduced to it.

"Do you know much about Quidditch?" Carter asked. "I could explain the rules of the game so you won't be too lost for the game next weekend." he offered.

"I know some of the positions. Seeker, Chaser, and Keeper" replied Bradin. That was about all he knew. "That would help a lot. Thanks mate" he said,

"Right." Carter said. "But you're missing one. The other position is called beater." he explained. "Anyway, like I was saying earlier the chasers try to score. It's the keepers job to make sure that doesn't happen. They're like the goalkeepers in football." he said. "And then there is this ball that just goes around like a mental person. And the beater's job is to make sure it doesn't hit anyone. And then the seeker's job is to catch a little ball about the size of a golf ball." he explained. "It flies around and is pretty hard to spot. And here we play that a team wins when the snitch, that's the name of the ball, is caught 3 times."

Bradin was impressed. Now he knew why he wanted to learn how to play so much. "Sounds like fun. But how does the beater know the ball won't hit the other players?" he asked.

Carter laughed. "They don't. They just have to beat the ball to the players." he said. "Everyone has been hit by those balls at some point."

Bradin giggled. Sweet! "Ok. Fun and dangerous. Bradin likey" laughed Bradin. He never thought he'd be that danger prone but what's life without a little danger right. He like the whole concept of Quidditch. "I might tryout next term" he muttered.

"I recommend it." Carter said. "It's a great way to make friends. The first match is this weekend between Ravenclaw and Slytherin." he said. "I'll be sitting in the Slytherin section with Marie, maybe we could find each other and I could explain things as they happen."

"Sounds co,......" Bradin began to reply but was cut off by pain. "Ow!" he said in pure agony. He really needed to go and see the healer.

"You alright mate?" Carter asked as Bradin suddenly yelped.

"Yeah. I think" replied Bradin. Liar! He wasn't ok. He was the total opposite of Ok. There was noway he was going to be ok. Not so long as Justin's dad was alive.

"What happened? Do you want to go see the healer?" Carter asked him.

"Do you really wanna know?" Bradin asked. If Carter didn't want to know what happened then he wouldn't say but if he did then he'd tell him the truth. "I'll go see the healer later" he added.

"Yeah. You can tell me." Carter said with his voice full of concern.

"You met Justin before I came here right. Well when we were younger, his dad turned to the dark side. The dark side turned him violent. So Violent that he turned against his own family. He abused me and Justin, bue he only used magic on me. I'm left with a constant reminder of those days. I have no idea what spell he used but whatever spell it was, it puts me in pain" explained Bradin.

"Oh..." Carter said. That was not an answer he was expecting. And he also didn't know much about any dark arts... so he couldn't help him there.

"Is there anything I can do?" he asked. Like maybe report his father to the wizard police... or whatever they have.

Bradin sighed. Finally he'd met someone who would help him report a monster such as Justin's dad. "Do you know how long I've waited for someone who's willing enough to come with me to do that? I'm way too scared to go alone so that would help a lot. Do you mind?" he replied. He really wanted the monster to be gone from the world. At least that way Justin would be safe.

Carter nodded. "Yeah. Of course I can go with you." he said. He wasn't sure who they'd be talking to, but he would do whatever needed to be done to help out his friend.

Bradin, who was still clutching his stomach, smiled at Carter. They'd only just met but they seemed like great friends already. "Thanks mate" he said gratefully.

Carter smiled. "Are you feeling any better?" he asked Bradin. He was still holding his stomach and looked like he was still in pain.

Bradin moved his arm away from his stomach now that the pain had subsided. "Yeah. That usually only happens when something bad's happening. When he cursed me he passed some sort of power on to me that made me feel pain when Justin was in pain. It was his way of making us both suffer at the same time because he can't get to me whilst I'm here" he explained. Now that the pain had subsided it must have meant Justin was no longer being attacked.

Leilani cupped her hands over her mouth and yelled.

"HEY!! Does anybody need a date to the Alumini Ball?!?! I have a friend that needs one!! She's a slytherin firstie!!! Any takers?!?!"

"Oh..." Carter said. "Where's Justin? Is he not in school?" he asked. Maybe the Hogwarts of America was a bit different. He wasn't sure.
