Aiden dropped his hand after shaking hers, then stood up straight again. Ehh. He never liked hearing about other people having bad days, bad weeks, bad months. It sorta made him feel guilty for being so happy or something. "I'm sorry to hear that.." He rubbed the back of his neck, debating what to say next. "Well. You can talk to me about it, if you need to vent or something." Even though they were only recently acquainted, he figured he better offer.

"It's not your problems, Mr. Aiden. Just some girl, Savannah, she stole my boyfriend and what not." she said smiling. "How are you? I'm guess better than me." She said not wanting to burden anybody else. Scarlett really hated having to vent to people, especially totally strangers. But it wasn't the people themselves, its the embarrassment of it all.

Uhh.. what? Savannah. Stole this girl's boyfriend? Ehh. "Oh.." What to say now, Aiden? "So.. erm. How'd she steal your boyfriend?" Jeez, Savvy! Of all the guys she could've chosen, she picked one that was already taken! Then again.. that didn't sound so out of the ordinary for that girl. He gave a polite smile when she inquired after him. "Well.. I am doing quite well, I'll admit. Just started dating a girl I really like not too long ago." For once, his life was going pretty smoothly.

"I'm not sure but according to him, she's perfect. Met her in the hall the other day. Didn't seem to freaking perfect to me." Scarlett scowled remembering how she slapped the girl across the face.

Well. This wasn't good. "Look on the bright side; this just means you can meet someone better," he told her, trying to be optimistic about it all. "Besides, do you really want to date someone who dumps you for a girl he just met a few days ago?" He wondered if Savannah knew he had a girlfriend. Hmm. Hopefully not, but somehow he doubted it.

"True. I guess he wasn't who I thought he was." she said slinging her bag up to her shoulder. Why do all the cute guys have to be taken? Why do all guys I meet have to be taken? she thought to herself. "I was just about to go get lunch, want to come with me?" Scarlett was excited at the chance for him to hang out with her more.

Aiden nodded. That's just how it was sometimes - sucky. Not quite the best adjective, but hey. It was true. Lunch? Well, he was pretty hungry. And he wasn't exactly in a rush to get anywhere in particular, so having some lunch with a friend sounded like a good plan to him. "Yeah, sure," he agreed with a smile.

Scarlett turned towards the Great Hall and began to walk again. Hopefully no more tripping. "So Aiden, what year are you?" she said trying to keep conversation.

Hah. Aiden had spaced out just a little, hence he was doing a terrible job of maintaining the conversation. But he turned to Scarlett as they walked. "I'm a sixth year," he informed her. Remembering that he was in a pair of jeans and a tee shirt because of the weekend, he added to his simple response. "I'm a Gryffindor, too." He lifted his eyebrows a little as he returned the question her way. "What about you?"

Scarlett swung her arms while she walked. "I'm a fifth year; Hufflepuff." she said smoothing her dress down. "What's your favorite color?" Scarlett decided it was time for the question game.

Aha, a hufflepuff. "One of my good friends is a Hufflepuff - Rhea Bellaire?" Maybe she knew her, maybe she didn't. It was a big school. He smiled. Favorite color? That was random, but he didn't mind. "Red," he answered simply. And no. It wasn't because Red was the main color for Gryffindor. "Yours?"

"Green, 2nd favorite is Yellow." she said nodding. "Favorite Drink? Just to let you know, this is a game I play when the conversation dies. So if you wish not to play the game, think of something to discuss." Scarlett felt somewhat superior to him right now. She liked being the alpha ever now and then.

Was this twenty questions, then? "My favorite drink is.. uhm. Water, I think." Did that sound boring? Oh well. He wasn't big on pumpkin juice, and he got tired of butterbeer. Milk was good, though. No soda. "Okay, new subject, then," he declared as they walked on. "How did you react to your boyfriend when he broke you the news?" If she didn't want to answer that, she didn't have to. But he asked anyway.

"Like any girl who had been dating a guy who said 'I love you' every other day. I bawled. And yelled at him. Then my friend told me who he was dating and how quickly they got together. Then I met her in the hall, that wasn't pretty." she said filling in most of what had happened the past 3 days. "You now see why my week has been so bad. But today has been looking up."

"Well, the 'I love you' is probably a bit much; those are big words," Aiden commented, casually. Her reaction seemed pretty normal when it came to break-ups. Ohh. She met Sav in the hall? Heh. "I'm glad it's getting a bit better today, though," he smiled. Although he was curious as to how it went with Savannah. Well. Probably not good. Duh.

"I haven't ran into either of them. And I made a new friend." she said with a smile.

She couldn't help it. Anna Robles was crying, and she was devastated. Why do breakups have to be so painful? Stabbing? and so...the reason she must cry. Her heart was broken into small little pieces. Nothing could fix it, unless one talked...

But right now, Annie didn't want to see Drew. She just wanted to think about the reasons they broke up and why she was wrong.

Gah...

It was May.

Torin should have been happy. It was his birthday soon. He would be done his NEWTs in no time. But he was upset instead. He was upset because of Lori. He wanted things to be back to normal again, but they weren't.

Then he heard the sound of crying.

Apparently he wasn't the only one that was upset.

Though he was shocked to see who was crying. It was someone that he had never heard cry before. Someone that he never thought would cry.

"Annie. What's wrong?"

He rushed over her and took a seat beside her, pulling her into a gentle hug.

"What happened?"

And there she was, sitting against a wall letting all tears fall down to her dress skirt. Just when things were quiet, at least for her, someone said her name and asked if something was wrong. Annie looked up and saw Torin. Oh no, why him? He was the person she didn't want to be seen crying by. But she couldn't help it. She was so sad, so broken inside.

She couldn't help but hug him back, though by her side it was a tight embracement. "Drew and I broke up..." She almost yelled, as she cried. It hurt when she said it. As she sniffled, she noticed she was damping Torin's shirt with her tears.

Oh dear. This was rather serious, as she was getting him wet. But that was okay. He could live with wet clothes.

He frowned as she told him what happened. Break ups were really hard. He knew that from when Brody dumped him a few Terms ago. But now he and her were happy again.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

Talk about it? She couldn't even speak. But she had to let out all the pain. Ugh. Taking deep breaths to calm down and then letting go of Torin finally let her voice be a little higher than her trembling whisper. "Well, it all started with...the talks about if we get jealous of each other's friendships..." And she ended messing it up. "And well, I so messed up because I can't help but think of any other girl beside Drew..."

And that is the truth.

Friendship. It was always friendship it seemed.

It had been that way with him and Brody; her leaving him because his friends hated her and she couldn't take it anymore.

It was sad how it seemed impossible for everyone to be happy.

"But I don't understand, Annie. Why would you guys be jealous because of friends?" He just wanted to know because he couldn't understand what happened.

Annie took out a handkerchief out of her small bag. Slowly, she cleaned her tears and took long and deep breaths. Now let's explain the fact that both had their way of thinking. "Well, Drew got a bit upset that I'm always around you, and meeting new guys...blah blah blah..." Really, she didn't want to explain that whole deal.

After all, it was all her fault. Well...almost. "And I keep repeating the fact that I'm jealous, jealous...and I just get mad. I was just so worried of losing him that I kept repeating it and look where it ended...the break up." Oh, Merlin. She was crying again. With a sniffle, she cleaned her nose and her cheeks. They were red as tomatoes. Sadly, she wasn't blushing this time.

"I get the jealousy thing," he replied as he watched her. He wished that he could say something to make her feel better.

"Brody used to feel that way. She used to worry that my female friends wanted me." He rolled his eyes, figuring that was totally ridiculous. Honestly. She had no need to worry.

"I know that he loves you like you love him. It's hard, but everything will work out for you. It did for me and Brody when I had thought we were hopeless."

His words were kind of calming her. Though the pain was still there. Annie had lost her Drew because of a stupid discussion about jealousy that she had started herself a long while ago. Ugh, she felt horrible now.

When Torin mentioned Brody and her worrysome moments, she shook her head. Oh my, the boy was surrounded by girls all the time. Why shouldn't a girlfriend be worried? Oh, right...here comes the trust. That she should have had when she still had Drew. iSigh.

"I just hope things get solved. As better as they can get." Even if they ended up as friends, she didn't care, she just wanted to be with her now ex-boyfriend again.
