As you travel down the tunnel, you eventually come to a door that opens to the boy's dormitory. It's a spacious room that contains comfortable four poster beds for you to sleep on. There's a dorm for each year, so make sure you go into the right one!

No girls allowed!

A charm has been set to glue the feet of boys to the floor if they try to access any of the male dorms and only a professor can release you from it. And then Mr. Masterson will send Roma after you.

It won't be pretty.

Ericks entered the Hufflepuff boy dormitory. He didn't see any other bots around.

Greaaat! Sleep time. It was now time for Ced to relax and get some slumber. Today had been rather fun and eventful. He had so much fun at the job fair. Well, he stayed more at the Herbology booth than any other booths actually 'cause it was his thing. Yep. His thing. And he loved the woman who was operating that booth. He found her intelligent and very passionate toward the plants. Like he, that woman had developed such an unconditional love for all of the magical plants.

And that woman gave her a souvenir. Well, he asked for it actually. It was a badger nyokki, a pet plant which would grow no matter how hard you try to prune or cut it and that is unless its roots would be cut.

Cedric walked slowly to his own bed so as not to wake his other room mates and he gently placed the badger nyokki on his own trunk. He looked around, checking if all of his dorm mates were already sleeping but there were some who were not at the dormitory yet. He then changed his clothes and sat down on his bed.

One thing that Demarcus loved about being a yellow, rat-looking thing (he still hasn’t figured out that the house mascot is really a badger) was that their common room was not very far from the Great Hall. He had heard that the Gryffindors and Ravenclaws had to do all the way up one of the many Hogwarts towers to get to their common rooms, and the Slytherins had to head down to the creepy dungeons. He had sympathy for them a little bit, but that’s what you get for not being totally awesome. Hehe!

Though, he did have to admit that he didn’t feel very safe with the way the walls were like tunnels. Yeah, tunnels and stuff like that was a bunch of fun for strapping lads like him. But what if the tunnel leading to his dorm room ended up collapsing on top of him? Huh? He was pretty sure that Hogwarts couldn’t afford that happening. It would be very messy.

But the tunnel didn’t cave in on him. He should’ve expected nothing to happen, but there was something about how old the walls looked that didn’t gain his confidence. The white cat that was obediently following him, on the contrary, had faith in the walls of the tunnel as if they were her friend. Demarcus, obviously, was not able to read his cat’s mind (wouldn’t that be SUPER COOL, though?), but he was pretty sure the way Bubbles was rubbing up against the wall meant that she would trust it with all of her nine lives.

Rolling his warm, chocolate brown eyes, Demarcus opened the door to his dorm room and walked inside. Once Bubbles had slipped into the room, he closed the door as quickly as he could before any of those crazy girls got a glimpse of what was behind the door. Not that there was anything bad behind it. It was just that girls weren’t allowed in there. Why tempt them? And … he wasn’t even sure if his roommates cleaned up after themselves.

Demarcus hadn’t even noticed that one of his roommates was in the dorm room. Instead he had walked straight over to his bed and plopped right on the mattress. He placed his hands behind his head and closed his eyes, figuring that Bubbles was taking her sweet old time with jumping up on the bed. That was a big no-no. The old cat, unlike her owner, had noticed the other human being in the room and went to say a quick hello. She rubbed against the boy’s leg and … well … she farted. PRRRFFFT!

So Ced was about to sleep. After tidying himself up a bit a while ago, it was really now time for him to sleep. And he was getting rather drowsy actually so his room mates should better not perturb him right? or otherwise, he'd pounce on them!

He eagerly glanced outside trough the window and he suddenly became wide awake or at least his senses that was about to rest and all. Hehe. Wow, the dim, velvety sky looked quite great. The glistening of the stars gave a distinctive beauty upon the sky and the moon was getting rather obscure behind the scanty bits of fluffy clouds. He found the scene quite magical. Well, almost all things 'round and within the borders of Hogwarts were magical even the spoons and forks so he wasn't surprised at all that the sky was being dramatically magical.

And then something or probably someone had dragged him back from his reverie. And it was a person yepp not a mouse nor cat neither. He watched the person who had just entered their common room in utter confusion. He just didn't totally expect that a fourth year or maybe a third year or younger would and could share a dormitory with fifth years like he. It was just that the guy was a bit shorter than normal. Even though the room became murky as he turned off the light in his lamp, he could still see whoever person entered the dormitory and that person was quite unfamiliar to him.

Ced thought he heard something... like a cat's purr or it was just him who was imagining things because of lack of sleep? Hmmm. He'd better find it out and he faced the guy. He smiled behind the darkness of the room and said coolly, "Hey there. Are you umm, lost? It's the fifth year dormitory you know. Not the third year or fourth year's."

And then what the heck?!? Did something stinky landed on his leg and rubbed its body against his leg. Well, it was rather soft and as cushy as a stuffed pillow.... He turned on the light and had find out what the thing was. "A cat, eh?" He smiled, sat up and enthusiastically travelled his fingers upon the cat's furry body while trying not to breath even just for a few seconds. He loved cute creatures but not annoying-looking creatures like spider. "Hey cat. What cha doin' here?" He asked the cat and he wasn't expecting an answer from the cat at all. He turned to the guy once again and asked, "Is she yours?"

Simon smiled as he walked into the boy dorm, he hoped that he could meet some more Hufflepuff Boys, he hadn't met a single first year Hufflepuff boy yet he had hoped he would meet some soon.

Simon went over to his part of the first year dorm and sat down on his bed, he had been having a bad day but this seemed to be a place where he could be safe, he looked around and realised that there wasn't another first year in the room.

Nymphy reached under his bed and got his partially completed bird house out. So far, his base was complete and the small hole for the birdies to enter and exit was finished. He now read on in the instructions and saw that he needed to insert a small "dole" rod for the birdies to perch on. So he measured the exact length that the direcions called for and then got out his saw and cut in a back and forth motion.

He then placed the rod next to the bird house and inserted it into the smaller hole right below the bigger hole that was precut. For good measure, he put a little of the glue it came with around the edges. He then put the entire project under his bed and went to sleep.

After that frankly terrible quidditch game (because yeah, mass injury counted as terrible), Jake had slipped away from the stadium, showered quickly and came back to the fifth year boys dormitory.

Taking his contacts from his eyes and switching them for glasses, Jake reached into the drawer of his bedside table and grabbed a scroll of parchment and his wand (his hand brushing past a certain potions bottle which gave the boy a hint of a smile), before leaning back and wrenching the hangings shut so nobody could disturb him.

Yeah, it was time to practice magic; Jake's parents had been nagging him via owl to start studying and stuff, and now he had pretty mediocre reading skills, Jake didn't have the choice to ignore it.

Taking a deep breath to calm his nerves, Jake looked down at the parchment. He tried to read the first one, and then... kind of failed at it, and looked at the rest of the list. Though he couldn't read it quickly, he saw the long words.

One hand poking out of his bed curtains, Jake grabbed his charms book from the side table and brought it into his crude practice area. Then he eyed the list again.

"Wuh-... ing. Wing. Arr, die, um... Is that Wingardium?" Jake spoke to himself, looking at the first one and tilting his head. Yeah, he thought he knew what this was. Best to make sure though. "Lev... I, oh, sah."

Yep.

"Wwwingardium Leviosa... Wingardium Lllleviosa. WinGARdium Levi...OHsa," Jake tried, forcing the words out without a stutter. He then looked around for something to levitate, saw the book, and thought... nahhhh. Too heavy. So... a pillow?

Still too heavy. BUT, Jake had a habbit of pulling the feathers out of the pillows... so he quickly did his thang and retrieved one before setting it on the bed.

"Wingardium Leviosa," he stated, pointing his wand at the feather and really only saying the words.

No? No.

"Wingardium Leviosa." More conviction this time. Jake was trying to communicate to his magic that he kind of wanted it to levitate, but nooooot. "WinGARdium LeviOHsa," the boy demanded, fully willing the feather to do what he was telling it to... and it twitched.

It was progress, but not enough. Time for the Lafay method. Jake shut his eyes and pictured just how much he wanted the feather to float. HE was in charge here and he was TELLING it to do what he wanted it to do. Float, dangit. FLOAT.

"WinGARdium LeviOHsa," Jake almost shouted one more time, glad it wasn't like night time and that nobody was in here sleeping. As soon as he cast, Jake peeked an eye open just in time to see the tiny white feather dangling delicately in the air. In that instance, Jake's concentration wavered and the feather floated to the bed again, but he didn't care. He'd done it.

"Yesssss," the boy whispered, dropping his wand by the list and his book and instantly falling back onto his bed, passing out. Magic was SOOOOOO tiring for him.

And to think; a few months ago, Jake had this spell NAILED.

But for now, sleeeeeep.

Ced was half asleep when suddenly, someone barged into their dormitory. He opened his eyes drowsily and saw a figure of an unknown person. Thinking that it was just his normal, no-troublemaker dorm mate, he closed his eyes and tried to sleep again. Obviously, he needed some rest; he was sick, terribly sick.

He should have made it to play for their match against them Gryffies or watched their match on the stands if only his flu wasn't that bad and he was rather having a feeling of nausea.

Anyway, he just hoped that his dorm mate would just take a rest like what he do and all and would not perturb him or do any annoying thing whatsoever. Apparently, his dorm mate would not just take a rest or get some slumber; he heard him practicing a spell, the levitating spell to be specific.

If it weren't for the amazing stutters, he wouldn't know that it was Jake. Jake... their seeker!

"Err, Jake. How did the match go?" Cedric asked, reaching for his towel on his wood trunk beside his bed. He blew his nose on the towel and sat up straight, watching Jake practice nonchalantly.

Hopefully, Jake wouldn't freak out hearing someone else talk. Well, he wasn't alone in the dormitory.

Nympy went to his bed to lay down. He was so tired, but he needed to stay awake to do his homework..

He got out his bag and worked. Then when he was finished, he didn't even bother to put his stuff away......he just fell asleep.

It wasn't long before Jake heard a voice in the room with him. He was pretty sure he'd checked the room for anyone so... yeah, he was slightly confused.

"Huh?" the boy mumbled, leaning back up again.

...

Weird.

HOKAII!

Grabbing his wand again, and forgetting that there was anyone else in the room beyond the hangings of his bed, Jake cleared his throat and checked out the next spell on his list.

...

Okay, so it took him a while, but not as long as it used to.

"Lllocommmotor..." Jake started, and looked around for something other than the feather. That was a little too easy, ya know?

Pillow.

Yes.

"Okay... lllocommmotor. Low-com-mmmo-tor... Locomot-t-tor. Locomotor. Locomotor. Locamotorlocomotorlocomotorlocomotorlocomotor. Locomotor Pillo-WOAHHHHH!"

Jake, having been far too interested on how much the word 'locomotor' now sounded ridiculously odd...er than usual, hadn't focused on the spell.

And when Jake lost focus... well.

BUH-BAM!

He was THROWN out of the safe haven of inside the hangings of his bed and flew straight across the room into the wall.

Backwards.

...

"Locomotor Ouch."

Nymphy walked into the dormitory to get his Transfiguration book, but saw that kid trying to do magic. Afterall.....the professor DID say to help other students if he saw a need...and this totally counted!

"Very close....but you are forgeting the swish and flick! Its a simple spell, like 'Wingardium Leviosa' so the basic wand movement is needed. Also, saying it a bit louder will (without knowing it) make you sound more condifent and help the spell work" he said, walking over and explaining. "I'm Nymphy, by the way. Professor Carlton told me I could help other Charms students if i saw a need. I am really good, and want to be a Charms professor when i get older......so how about we try that spell!" he said, with a smile.

Who the heck was this guy?

Jake blinked at the boy in astonishment as he began talking and talking... and talking.

And then... Low blow.

Had Professor Carlton like, told this kid about him? Jake hoped not. That was not cool.

"I'm ppperfectly cuhh-cuhh-competent," he stated as he tried to untangle himself from... himself. "Juhh-just a lllittle rrrusty."

Suuuuure.

Plus, what was this kid? Like... young?

"I know.....I;m not trying to take over...just nudge you in the right direction, like any good teacher." he said, stepping over to the kid. "Go ahead and try, and I'm sure that you'll be able to do it!" he said, enthusiastically.

"You can ask me for...a nudge, anytime you want to. I love assisting....." he said, smiling the kid on.

Jake... could only stare.

"Yyyou're not a ttteacher..." the boy pointed out from his tangledness on the floor. "Yyyou're a kid. Younger thhan me by the luh-looks of it."

...

Which literally added insult to injury.

"I rrreally don't nneed assisting... and sssorry... buhh-but I'm kkkind of insulted. So... it'd bbbe cool if yuh-you lay off that nnnow. Please."

Yeah, Jake obviously hated his weaknesses.

As would anyone.

Nothing personal... but Jake didn't need help. He only accepted help from his parents.

"I know that I'm not a teacher......but it doesn't take a teacher to help. Infact, i went to see Professor Carlton about a tutor position and she she said that a tutor was not needed, but that i was free to help anyone i found that needed....assistance (he really needed a better word)" he said, trying to calm the flustered kid.

"And if you don't want to call it assiasance, thats fine......you can use abetment, aid, assist, backing, benefit, boost, collaboration, comfort, compensation, cooperation, facilitation, furtherance, hand, help, helping hand, lift, reinforcement, relief, service, support, or sustenance. It dosen't matter to me.........and its not shamful to ask for help. If you ask the wisest of the wise, they will tell you that asking for.... cooperation..." he said, picking one of his words, "...when you need it is a sign of maturity and insight"

He felt that now the kid would be conforted and maybe even trust him as a friend. "So....wanna give it a try?" he asked.

"Sssorry kid..." Jake started, finally getting himself back onto his feet before stretching out the kinks in his back. "I dddon't need you ssspouting a duhh-dictionary back at mmme, I dddon't need assisstance and I duhh-don't need a little kkkid offering me hhhelp."

Taking a steadying breath, Jake managed to keep his cool as he went on. "I dddon't want your hhhelp... why are yyyou even in here, anyway. Thuhh-this is the fffifth year duh-dorm... and I know you're n-n-not a fffifth year."

Folding his arms across his chest, Jake tried his best to keep a kind of authority. Hehe. "What yyear are you?"

"I'm a second year...." Nymphy said, still not giving up. "And i was here looking for my freind...but he's not here. However you are....and i think that you probably shouldn't deny cooperation before you know whats going on." he said, very firmly. "You don't even have to think of it as 'help'...you could just think of it as one FRIEND helping another...." he said, putting his handson his hips and giving the kid (WHO STILL HASN'T INTODUCED HIMSELF, EVEN AFTER ALL THE SUBTLE HINTS ABOUT "THAT KID") a looking that said quite plainly that there was no denying his logic.

"Now please....give it a try. I now that you can get it! I have faith in you!!" he said, even more enthusiastic.

Okay, now Jake was getting mad, but he was controlling it well.

Showing that he HAD learnt something that year.

"I ddddon't recall the t-t-two of us becoming fffriends," Jake said with a level voice. "And I dddon't take it tttoo well when my ffriends breach this sssubject."

Taking in the way the boy was a little overly enthusiastic, Jake unfolded his arms and sighed. "Are yyyou gonna lay off the sssubject or do I nnneed to go and get Mr. Mmmasterson?"

Burrrrrrrrrrrrn.

"Well...if you don't introduce yourself....we will never become friends! Now, i'll do it again, then you can go!! I'm Nymphy...and you are?" he asked, recifying the friend situation...

Go get mister Masterson???? and what would he tell him? 'Mr. Masterson.....he tried to help me with my homework' or 'Mr. Masterson....he is being nice and helpful and even.........friendly!!!!! Punish him!'

"There is no need to go tiddle taddle (thank you Sheron Osborne...if u saw the Apprentice, u would know what i'm taking about) to Mr. Masterson. I am only trying to help...." he said, thinking. He would have to get creative...

Yeah, again with the staring.

That's what Jake did. Stared.

"Sssorry kid... no," Jake said, a kind of irked look on his face. "Ppplease leave the fffifth year duhh-dorm. Gggo to your own or sssomething. I'm gggoing for a wwwalk."

And, simply enough, Jake collected up his lists and books and checked he had his wand, before nonchalantly leaving the room. He didn't stop to tell the boy not to follow him. That seemed kind of obvious.

Wow....what a kid will do to NOT be friends with you! The rudness astounded him...but Nymphy knew that it wasn't himself that would pay. In ten years, when that kid couldn't Summon a spoon of the counter and had healers debating weather or not he was a squib, then he'd wish that he had taken Nymphy's help...

Nymphy left, nose turned in the air, deterimined to do some good in the world, even these stubborn kids didn't want help!!!
